Akira was in shock. In front of him was an actual dragon that was talking in street slang.
Right now Akira was running from the dragon as it shot fire balls at him.
"Quit running, and take your beat down, like a man!" The Dragon said, Akira then hid behind a giant boulder. "Did you think that would work?" He asked. The bolder was then sent flying at him, but he flew out of the way.
"Yo what the…" He then noticed that Akira was gone. "Aw, Man!" The Dragon said as it flew to find him. Akira was currently hiding behind a tree trying to think of a way out of this situation.
"Ok, think part-time hero, you got a freaking lizard trying to kill you, maybe if I can get to MUPT, I can grab Excalibur and take him down with Artimas, I just need a distraction." He then started to gather rocks. He soon tossed them near some bushes.
"Ha found you!" It said as he went towards said bushes, Akira then rushed back to the MPUT and found that everyone was still in there.
"Thanks, A lot, TEAM, while I got my ass set on fire, y'all just wait here!" He yelled.
"Hey it was Cass' idea, she needed someone to protect her while she figured out where we were." Lara said
"Oh yeah that's nice, but I was fighting a FUCKING DRAGON! I could have used some help sidekick!" He said.
"Okay calm down, before you do something stupid."
"Yeah like giving up your location." The kids looked back and saw the dragon. Akira soon punched him away and climbed back out.
"Look we don't have time for this, Cass pop the hood I need Excalibur." He said, Cass then did what she was told and opened the back, Akira then pulled the handle out. Just then the Dragon came flying back.
"Okay I had it up to here with the toss back, I'm taking you down now!" He said swan dived towards the boy. Akira then held the handle out.
"Say your prayers Dragon, Artimas!" He called out but nothing happened.
"What! Not this again." He said as he shook it like the battery died, as soon as the dragon got close, Akira just punched him into the ground, hoping that the extra weight from Excalibur could do some extra damage which worked out too well and it made a crater.
"Whoa." Akira said
"Well looks like I got a backup for when this doesn't work." He said.
"Nice job, Akira." Rose said as she came up and hugged his back
"Thanks but don't think it's over yet." He said
"Why not?" Rose asked. Akira then looked into the hole and saw the dragon getting back up.
"Dragons are very resilient." He said the dragon then flew up and stared at the kids.
"Enough of this!" It said as he started splitting itself till six of them were here. "This ends here!" They yelled as they took a deep breath and every one of them shot fire, as they did everything slowed down, Akira was trying to think how to protect everyone, but nothing came, that is until he held up Excalibur's handle and closed his eyes hoping for the best, soon a bright light was shined the Dragon's clones then disappeared and it flew down.
"Well, that took care of that." He said, but as soon as the fire died down, The dragon was shocked to see a large dome with "Ø" symbol on it. It soon started to fold and shrink down, as it did it appeared on the back of Akira's gauntlet, a large steel shield with the Zero insignia dead in the center of it apeared. The shield then started to collapse.
"Woah, Akira." BJ said as the group looked around and saw the scorched earth surrounding them and MUPT.
"I gotta say your pretty tough kid." The Dragon said as he flew down. "You have my respect, but I still got to take you…" Just then Akira fainted. "Down?" The Dragon said.
"Akira!" Lara and Rose said as they went to check him, while Tyler and Bj stood in front of the girls and the knocked out Akira.
"Okay, I don't have time for this." The Dragon then took a deep breath and blew a cold wind freezing the children in place. As he did he surrounded himself with fire and revealed to be a human wearing a red jacket, jeans, and black sneakers, he had black slick back hair with green tips.
"Alright, just who are you kids?" The man asked.
-Later-
Akira was starting to wake up and saw that he was in a dimly lit room surrounded by old electronics. Akira then tried to get up, he looked around and saw his team passed out around him. He soon looked at his hand and saw that his gauntlet was different, instead of the usual rusty look, it looked brand new and on the back of it was a small circle with Zero on it.
"Okay, it looks like I made a new configuration." He said, he soon got up and walked forward but was stopped when he hit an invisible wall, making him stagger back.
"What the...?"
"Look who woke up, Akira looked over and saw a middle age man.
"What happened?" He asked.
"I froze you guys and brought you back here, now it's time for you to answer some questions." He said
"And why should I do that?" He asked
"Because one way or another I will get my information." He said.
"You want information? Fine, my group is newly formed and our mission is to close these rifts, by traveling the multiverse." He said.
"Yeah and I'm a supermodel, look tell me the truth and I promise i'll send you home."
"Fine don't believe me then, but I know my job and I'm not going anywhere,'' he said as he sat down.
"Ugh! Look I'm trying to help you out here so why don't you…"
"Daddy?" The Dragon looked back and saw a little girl standing there.
"Tulip, what are you doing here?" He asked, just then a teenage girl wearing a long dress and had her hair in a bun
"Sorry, Jake, she just got away from me." She said Jake sighed as he got down on one knee.
"Look TuTu, go upstairs with Aunt Haley, I'll be there soon." He said, the teen named Haley then took the little girl and left.
"So you got a kid?" Akira asked
"She is not your concern, now last chance you better answer my questions or else!" Akira then sat down and looked away.
"Fine then you little brat, just stay and be quiet, till I can deal with you." He said as he left.
"Geez, talk about a hot temper." Akira said as he grabbed Excalibur.
"Okay, remember your training, Akira." He took a deep breath and calmed his mind, the handle soon shined and it transformed into a knife. He soon raised it and was about to cut it.
"I wouldn't do that." Akira looked back and saw Rose getting up rubbing her head.
"Rose are you okay?" He asked as he took a knee and checked her.
"I'm more worried about you, you kind of passed out after you protected us." She said.
"Yeah, I unlocked a new weapon, I think. now I just need to name it." He said.
"I can see that your sense of humor hasn't gone away." She said
"Gotta stay positive, right now we need to get out of here." He said.
"Then let me handle this." She said as she then snapped her fingers and her scythe appeared, she then raised the weapon and brought it down, only for it to bounce back and she vibrated from the rebound.
"What the!" Rose then pushed Akira back and started a barrage of slices but nothing worked. "Okay, that didn't work." She said as she tossed her weapon away, making it disappear in a black cloud. Rose then looked at Akira. "Akira I'm going to try something else, but I need you to look away." She said.
"Why?" He asked
"Just do it!" She yelled, making her eyes glow a bit. Akira then turned around, Rose then took a deep breath her hair started to flow up and started the change two locks of hair turned black and harden on top of her head making them turn into horns, a tail came out of her dress, her porcelain hands darkened to match pitch-black shadows her fingers growing into black claws, her eyes turning completely red and she bared her sharp fangs, She then raised her claw and slashed away the barrier trapping them making a hold, she then pulled the opening more till it shattered, she then closed her eyes, took a deep breath and changed back.
"You done?" Akira asked as he turned around and saw Rose was about to fall, Akira acted quickly and caught her.
"Rose what did you do?" He asked.
"Don't worry about it, just grabbed the others." She said as she tried to get back up, but she fell back into his arms.
"I don't know what you did, but you used up a lot of power, just rest, for now, let the Hero handle this." He said as she laid her down and left, he soon looked around and saw that he was in some old shop, he started to explore the place and saw various electronics that were way old.
"Talk about your retro store." He said, he then looked out the window and saw that they were no longer near the park but in the city. As he was about to return to his team, he turned around and was met with Tulip, the little girl in pink overalls and a white t-shirt.
"Uh hello?" Akira asked.
"Hi." She said, "Do you know my daddy?" She asked
"You could say that." He said with a nervous smile.
"Cool, does that mean your from the Magus Bazaar?" She asked
"Uh no, in fact, I don't even know where I am." He said.
"Oh that easy, you in New "Pork" city." She said
"Pork?" He asked
"I think she means York." The kids then looked up and saw a mid-age woman with blonde hair wearing a long sleeve blouse and jeans.
"Mommy!" The little girl said as she ran up to her and hugged her. Akira saw this and was a little jealous.
"You must be my husband's prisoners." She said as he got a good look at him. "You don't seem like a threat, you're much too cute, but looks can be deceiving." She said. Akira then blushed and cleared his throat.
"Sorry for being rude in your home ma'am," Akira said with a bowed. "My name is Akira Zero and I'm a part-time hero from a different dimension." He said till he realized what he was doing. "Wait, I don't have time for mannerism, pardon me, but I need to find that dragon, is he keeping you, prisoner, here too?" He asked.
"Well, I guess you could say that with those rifts out there this is the safest place to be right now." She said.
"Look just tell me where that Dragon went, I have unfinished business with him." He said.
"Oh you must mean Jake, I have to apologize for him, ever since these rifts opened, he's been on edge lately." She said
"Wait so you don't think I'm a threat?" He asked
"Well Tulip doesn't think so, so you're okay with me, you hungry?" She asked.
"Y-yeah." the boy said, for some reason he felt relaxed and safe.
"Hey Rose, have you seen the…" The man then noticed Akira, and got angry, he transformed and pinned Akira to the wall while keeping the girls away.
"What do you think you're doing! How did you get out of your cage!" He yelled
"Jake calm down!" Rose begged
"Rose, take Tulip and get back." He said, just then, Rose grabbed a broom and whacked him on the head making him let go of the boy.
"Rose, what are.."
"Jake Long! You need to calm down."
"How can I calm down, for all I know they could be working for the dark dragon.
"Perhaps, but you remember that the dark dragon is sealed away for another nine hundred eighty-seven years, in Hong Kong." She insisted
"But…"
"Plus even if he was freed or even alive, don't you think that he would come straight here after you?" She added
"But…"
"No butts, now you leave these sweet kids alone and get ready for dinner." She said.
"Yes dear." Jake said as he changed back, picked up Tulip and headed back,
"You must be hungry, do you kids want to eat?" She asked
"Oh thank you, but we need to go and find that rift, plus I don't think we have the time, I need to close those rifts." He said.
"Well, our door is always opened if you need a place to stay." She said
"Thank you, Ma'am." Akira said as he went to his team and started to wake them up. As he looked back and saw Rose leave, he blushed and smiled and gripped his shirt.
"What is this familiar feeling?" He asked himself as he tried to wake up his team.
-Meanwhile-
Another rift was beginning to open and out of dripped a black ooze as it formed a large puddle, out of said puddle came out a hand that pulled itself out, the ooze then formed into a humanoid it's hand soon turned into claws a large pitch-black reptilian tail popped out, fangs grew and its eyes revealed slit pupils, the creature roared into the night sky making all the creatures in the area run away.
