Battle of the Mirrors Part 2
After dealing with her pack of Autobots, Airachnid climbed the cliffs and began creating lines of web that would trap some of the Aerialbots in their flight all along the cliffs to prevent further aerial retaliation.
When the Aerialbots were getting closer, they were lead by the Autobots Sky Commander named Silverbolt, he was not only accompanied by his fellow armada, but also by his most deadliest officers; Jetifre, Air Raid, Breakaway, Fireflight, Skydive, Slingshot, Alpha Bravo, Powerglide and Barrel Roll. They were a very well known squadron of flyers, very feared among the Decepticons because of their aerial superiority. But the Decepticons weren't the kind to turn back.
"Soundwave, Starscream and Laserbeak, You three take care of the rest of the Aerialbots. Leave Silverbolt to me." Megatronus ordered and they acknowledged it.
"Understood, Megatronus." Starscream would have nodded if he was in robot mode.
"Aerialbots, attack the Decepticon filth below us! Leave none alive!" Silverbolt commanded and they complied.
"Yes, Commander Silverbolt!" The Aerialbots compiled before Silverbolt started giving orders.
"Jetfire, you shall command the troops while I deal with the Decepticon leader and his the rest of the traitors. Air Raid and Breakaway shall help you. The others shall help me." Silverbolt ordered.
"Yes, sir!" Air Raid said.
"We'll give those Decepticons a run for their Energon." Breakaway cackled mischievously.
"Can't we join the fun, Commander Silverbolt? I love seeing Decepticons blow up." Skydive asked.
"Negative, Skydive. We cannot let ourselves be distracted. Be prepared for when I give the order." Silverbolt said as the others were unsure.
"Sir, are you sure about that?" Fireflight questions.
"Do not doubt my orders, Fireflight. Now disperse!" Silverbolt said.
Right after Silverbolt gave his troops direct orders and told his best soldiers to stand by for when he would give the special order, the Aerialbots began to disperse.
Silverbolt accompanied by Fireflight, Skydive, Powerglide, Slingshot, Alpha Bravo and Barrel Roll and a few Aerialbots went straight for Megatronus and his fellow comrades while Jetfire, Air Raid, Breakaway and the rest took care of the cons on the ground.
With the help of their forces on the ground, Megatronus flew straight for them while firing and moving around. Starscream transformed and jumped into a few of them to shoot them down. He was able to regain his vehicle mode fast enough to avoid getting shot. Soundwave on the other hand wasn't one to shoot. His strategy revolved around using the geographical area to his advantage.
With Laserbeak's help and his ability to gain access to satellite imagery he was able to find the right place where he could take down a good number of Aerialbots. He transmitted his orders to Laserbeak. They both made sure that the Aerialbots followed them, which they did.
"Take this Decepticon down!" An Aerialbot shouted.
The Aerialbots were firing all they had at Soundwave and Laserbeak. From the ground, Optimus saw that they were both in need of assistance and despite the fact that he was a bit wary of this world's Soundwave, he couldn't just stand there and do nothing. So he started pointing his gun at the Aerialbots and took down a few. Soundwave and Laserbeak were getting less shot at which made it easier for them.
They had reached the area that would help them carry out their plan. This specific area required a lot of good flying skills and a ton of luck. A few of the Aerialbots kept shooting at them but it wasn't nothing Soundwave couldn't handle. The area lacked more space for the Aerialbots to fly separately. Two of them crashed hard and got destroyed.
"This Decepticon is trying to trick us! Everyone, single file! He won't get away so easily!" An Aerialbot exclaimed.
Their only solution was to fly in one single line and follow their two targets. Soundwave began flying on the front followed by Laserbeak who was behind him. The Aerialbots were getting closer and closer. Even though they were catching up to them, Soundwave knew it was just a matter of time before they would turn into scrap metal.
However the Aerialbots didn't think the same. They thought they were gonna trap him. Suddenly Soundwave went up and did a reverse loop and headed the other way. The way he had found led to a dead end that had a rock wall in it. The Aerialbots were heading for it so fast that they didn't even have the time to stop. They all crashed hard and blew up into tiny burns of metal bits.
When Soundwave thought he was free, he was then hit by Fireflight who flew right at him and tackled him hard. That attack was followed by Skydive, who did the same. After getting hit twice Soundwave was to regain his flight but was heavily damaged. Since he couldn't take care of them on his own, he ordered Laserbeak to return to him so that he wouldn't get hurt. Him getting hurt was one thing but he couldn't help but worry if one of his minicon got hurt in battle.
"Aw, look at that, Fireflight. Big daddy Soundwave is afraid of his little pet bird getting hurt." Skydive taunts.
"Ha! He should try and worry more about himself. I say he should play with him a little bit more. What do you say?" Fireflight laughs menacingly.
"I say let's go for it! First one who takes him down wins?" Skydive suggested.
"You got it." Fireflight grinned.
Both Skydive and Fireflight began shooting at Soundwave with their lasers. He was able to dodge them to try and survive a bit longer.
Meanwhile on the ground, Emily had finally joined Emilia who seemed to have some sort of plan.
"I'm here, so what's your plan?" Emily asked.
"Well, the bots have brought a big load of their ground and aerial forces. We can only deal with one of them so I suggest we take care of those on the ground." Emilia said as the two minicons with her grinned with Ravage waiting for orders.
"I'll make them crumble before they rumble." Rumble said with Frenzy rolling his optics.
"Don't put your gears in a frenzy." Frenzy said as Rumble stuck his glossa at him childishly.
"Just shut up." He said as Emilia turned to them.
"Okay, you guys, I'm gonna need your help. Ravage, go and take on as many hits as you can but be careful." Emilia said to the panther minicon.
Ravage growls as a way of saying he agrees. After doing so, he starts running to where the Autobots ground bridge portal is open, allowing more and more bots to come before Emilia turns to Rumble and Frenzy.
"Rumble and Frenzy, you guys know what to do." She said as they saluted.
"What we do best." Rumble said as Frenzy agreed.
"Right on. Come, Rumble, it's time to go crack some nuts." Frenzy said with a grin which he returned.
When both Rumble And Frenzy left to go do their thing. Emily still couldn't believe that in this world the Decepticons are actually like the Autobots before Emilia shook her out of her thoughts.
"Hey, new girl." Emilia said as Emily turned to her.
"Uh, what?" She questioned.
"Try and stay focused. We're in the middle of a battle here." Emilia said as Emily shook her head and nodded.
"Right, right. So what do we do? I doubt we can take them out one by one in a fist battle." Emily said as Emilia thought.
"Well, since we both have ice powers, we could freeze them all with a huge ice storm." She suggested it and Emily thought of it. It could work but it will take too much energy.
"That could work but creating such a storm takes time and we'll be out of juice after making it. And who knows how long it will take for them to freeze." Emily said with worry and concern as Emilia pursed her lips. She does have a point.
"You're right." Emilia pondered what they should do.
Emily grabs her brooch. She tries to think of a solution when suddenly the brooch begins to shine in an orange light. She started looking at it to see what it was. There was some sort of rock emblem that was shining right besides the other elements.
"That emblem…" Emily breathed in shock and had a light bulb. That could work!
"You have an idea?" Emilia asked as Emily looked to her before to her brooch.
"I don't know. I might as well try it." Emily said.
Emily pressed the rock emblem on the brooch and suddenly out of nowhere her armor began to change into a rock themed suit much to Emilia's surprise.
"Wow, I see you have rock powers as well. But I doubt this will help us against them. I'll have to try and go for the ice storm." Emilia said as Emily looked at her hands and tried to come up with a plan.
Emily knows that rocks won't be much against helping the Autobots because of their metal skin. Deep down, she felt her brooch told her to use those rock powers for a reason and she had to try and think about what it was.
Meanwhile Ravage had reached the Autobots. He hid for a moment and began attacking them one by one from the back. A full squadron began to attack him but he was too fast for them. A group of Autobots was still advancing. Rumble and Frenzy got in front and began to use their servos. They turned so big into giants and suddenly they started to punch the ground so hard they created tremors.
The ground shaking made the Autobots fall. They were unable to advance and even though the three minicons were able to hold their ground, they would lose their advantage sooner or later. A group of Aerialbots began an air strike. A few bits got hit. But the three minicons got hit as well too. Luckily they weren't damaged, just a bit bruised. When the air strike was heading for Emily and Emilia, they both got down on the ground.
"Look out!" Emilia shouted in alarm.
They had their hands up over their heads for proper cover. Optimus, who was pinned down, saw that Emily is in trouble.
"Emily! Hang on, I'm coming!" Optimus exclaimed.
Optimus began to run where Emily was but the Aerialbots didn't let him as they shot at him relentlessly. One of them fired a missile. The explosion created a lot of smoke. But little did these evil bots know that it takes something bigger than that to take out a Prime. They heard a truck horn and out of the smoke came Optimus. He had transformed into his vehicle form and somehow made a jump.
When he was high enough, he transformed into his robot mode and grabbed two Aerialbots with his hands much to their surprise and shock. He landed back on the ground as those Autobots were trying to get free from him. When they both saw his face, they were rather shocked and confused. They didn't get much time to understand the situation since Optimus threw them with all his strength. That double throw made them hit other Aerialbots.
After getting rid of them for a moment, Optimus began running to where Emily was. She and Emilia were still covering themselves. Optimus came right on time to protect them. Emily opened her eyes for a moment and saw that Optimus had arrived to protect them.
"Optimus." Emily said in relief as Optimus looked down to them.
"Are you two okay?" He asked in concern just as Emilia looked up.
"We're fine. Thanks." Emily smiled gratefully.
Optimus smiled kindly and nodded his head as his way of saying 'no problem'. Emilia couldn't believe that an Autobot risked his metal to come and save someone. She didn't want Optimus to get hurt or worse so she felt like she had to try and create an ice storm.
"That does it. I'm gonna try and create an ice storm. You guys cover me." Emily said as she clenched her fists but Emily stopped her.
"Wait, no, that's not the solution." Emily argued.
"It's our only way. Unless you have a better idea." Emilia argued back.
Emily wanted to say she had one but sadly she couldn't. But for a moment she began to see something. She had seen that Emilia used a brooch similar to hers.
Her attention was focused on the fire emblem. That's when she remembered another weakness Cybertronians had. Their metal skin and biology are both weak to fire and heat. Throwing flames at them could work but it will take too much time for the heat to damage their system. But when Emily had finally solved why her brooch wanted her to turn into her rock element. It was so she and Emilia would unite and combine two different elements.
"That does it. I'm going for the storm." Emilia said as she stood up and started to power up but Emily stopped her.
"Don't!" Emily stopped her as she looked at her in confusion.
"Huh?" Emilia was confused.
"I think I solved it. It took me a while but now I know why my brooch was shining." Emily said but Emilia was still confused.
"Well that's great and all but how about you try and tell me what's your plan before we get blown to pieces." Emilia said as Emily looked at their surroundings and their brooches.
"Well… I think we must do a combination of different elements. This place is full of rocks and stones. It's all around us. We can use that to our advantage." Emily said as Emilia put her hands on her hips.
"Yeah, I don't think rocks will work against those guys." Emilia said as Emily nodded.
"You're right. It won't. Unless we use something that affects them too. Something other than ice. Like say fire." She explained as Emilia was confused but slowly understood.
"Fire? But of course. Transformers can't resist fire either. And if we use our elements and combine them into one." Emilia said as Emily smiled.
"We could create lava." Emily smiled as she made a fist.
"Great idea, you're not as dumb as I thought you were. In fact you could be just as smart as I am." Emilia smirked.
"Geez, thanks." Emily deadpanned as Emilia thought.
"So if we're gonna use fire, I'd say a change of clothes is in order." She said as she looked at her brooch.
Emilia pressed the fire emblem on her brooch which made her suit change into a fire themed armor.
"Nice look." Emily said as Emilia smiled.
"Thanks. So? Ready to fire things up?" Emilia asked with a smirk which Emily returned.
"Yup. It's time to rock!" Emily said as her hands were covered in rocks and the cracks were still glowing a magma gold.
Both Emily and Emilia began to run to where the Autobots were advancing. Emily punched the ground below her really hard. So hard that the ground began to shake and crack.
After that, Emilia began to use her hands to touch the ground. Her hands were turning the ground a bit red. She used all her fire to make the ground melt. The fire could be seen coming from underground 0 it started coming to the surface. The Autobots started to fall back.
Without even knowing that things were gonna get worse for them. To avoid any casualties, Emilia began to use her comm-link to order Ravage, Rumble and Frenzy to return.
"Ravage, Frenzy, Rumble. Get out of the way. We have a plan." Emilia told them.
Since Emilia told them to get to safety, Ravage along with his brothers, Ravage and Rumble climbed up the hill where they would be safer. Emily senses that they're gonna need more rocks to make the plan work.
"Ahh! We need more rocks!" Emily said as she saw their situation.
"Leave it to me." Emilia said before she used her comlink again.
"Rumble, Frenzy. Start shaking things for us." Emilia told them.
"We're on it." Rumble replied as both he and Frenzy got ready.
Rumble and Frenzy began to use their hands to hit the ground again. Their hits made rocks fall off the cliff and with that, Emily and Emilia had enough rocks to pull their plan.
"These rocks should do the trick." Emily said as Emilia nodded.
"Keep going, guys." Emilia told them but they had to cover their heads due to the Aereilbots constant assault.
"Get down! More of these flyers are coming toward us! I can't hold them off!" Optimus said as he tried to cover the girls.
"Well, do something! I can't focus if I'm getting shot at!" Emilia told him.
"Calm your gears for a moment. Let them come at you. I have a plan." Airachnid's voice told her through the comlink which confused Emilia.
"What plan? We already have a plan here!" Emilia exclaimed as Airachnid can be heard sighing through the comlink.
"Such worrisome. Just relax and hang in there." Airachnid told her.
A group of 5 Aerialbots were heading for Emily, Emilia and Optimus' position. When they were about to shoot something weird had happened. They got trapped in multiple web lines.
All 5 of them were stuck in a thick web. Emilia looked up and saw her friend Airachnid wink at her like she was saying 'You're Welcome'.
"Oh you gotta be freaking me." Emilia said as she facepalm as Emily just laughed sheepishly.
"I was just asking myself that same question." Emily replied.
"I think the lava is ready." Emilia said as she looked at their plan.
"Good, let's use it now." Emily said but Emilia stopped her.
"Not yet. I have a good idea." She replied before she used her comlink to contact Megatronus.
"Hey, Megatronus, think you can bring with you a few of your new friends?" Emilia asked as she watched Megatronus' alt mode in the sky.
In the sky, Megatronus was curious about what she was planning. Emilia has been with them ever since she got involved in the war and she's always planning something which sometimes get themselves hurt or the Autobots.
"What are you planning to do?" He asked curiously.
"Let's say I'm gonna give those guys a hot burning bath. Just be sure to get out of the way in time. I would hate for you to get a sun tan." Emilia told him as Megatronus compiled though was a bit curious.
"Very well then. Starscream, Soundwave, follow me. It's time to end this battle." Megatronus said before calling out the two.
Soundwave, who was still getting attacked by Skydive and Fireflight, managed to get away from them to join Starscream and Megatronus.
The three of them had a lot of Aerialbots behind them and Megatronus had a hard time getting rid of Silverbolt and the rest of his best soldiers. With Emilia's plan, they had to make sure they followed them.
"Well, we have their attention now. What do we do?" Starscream asked worriedly.
"The one thing we can do. Flight our best. Follow me." Megatronus told them.
Jetfire noticed that they're planning something and notified Silverbolt.
"Commander, they seem to be planning something. What could it be?" Jetfire questioned.
"Whatever it is. It's not going to work." Air Raid scoffed.
"Either way we must not underestimate them. All Aerialbots, fire at will!" Silverbolt ordered.
The Aerialbots began firing lasers at Megatronus, Starscream and Soundwave as they started to dodge.
"How about we make this more fun?" Alpha Bravo suggested with a smirk.
"I agree with you there. Let's fire them up!" Fireflight agreed.
Both Alpha Bravo and Fireflight began to shoot some missiles. Starscream transformed into his robot form and started using his laser cannon to make the missiles explode which worked. He then transformed back.
Meanwhile on the ground, the lava was forming slowly. At least Emilia was able to focus on melting the rocks now that there wasn't anyone shooting at her.
"I think I'm almost there." Emilia said as Emily nodded.
"Keep at it." She said before Optimus noticed something.
"Look." Optimus said.
Optimus points his finger and the Autobots forces are running away, trying to get inside their portal.
"We have them on the run." Emily noted which got Emilia's attention and was having a bad feeling about it.
"I doubt it. When the Autobots start running, it's usually bad news for us." Emilia said as Emily turned towards her.
"What kind of bad news?" She asked as Emilia just glanced at her.
"Troubling ones." She simply said.
Arcee and Cliffjumper, who were both watching from the cliffs, saw how their troops were running away as Cliffjumper contacted the Vehibot who was the captain.
"Captain! Why are you running? Stand and fight! That's an order!" SG Cliffjumper ordered.
"But, sir, we can't fight in these conditions! We have too… Ah! Ah! My pedes are burning!" The Vehibot yelped in pain through comlink which only made SG Cliffjumper growl.
How could two girls with the same abilities yet look almost identical be able to get their troops to back down?!
The Vehibots start jumping on one pede. The ground below them was burning hot and it hurt their metal feet.
"Mine too! Ouch, ouch, ouch!" A second Vehibot yelped in pain as SG Cliffjumper was angered and turned off his comlink.
"Rah! Those Decepticons are getting on my circuits! I'm gonna show them what happens when they mess with me." SG Cliffjumper growled but SG Arcee stopped him.
"I believe that instead of barging in, we can fight fire with fire." SG Arcee said before using her comlink to call for backup.
"It's me. I'm gonna need your help. Bring the usual backup. But do not engage the enemy. You're only here to watch and learn. Arcee out." SG Arcee said before turning her comlink off as SG Cliffjumper looked at her.
"Did you call the gang?" He asked as she nodded with a malevolent smirk.
"I did and they're on their way. Let's just stay put for now and let those pesky Decepticons think they're winning. They'll be in for an ugly surprise." SG Arcee explained as SG Cliffjumper smirked.
"I hope our team leaves that red Decepticon alive. I wanna get some payback against him." SG Cliffjumper said evilly but SG Arcee gave him a look.
"I think it's best if we let him be. There's something about him and this little human girl. I believe they're the key to something greater. Something that will help us get rid of the Decepticons once and for all. I'm sure our master will be pleased." SG Arcee told him as SG Cliffjumper shuddered slightly from fear. Failing their master gets them punished rather painfully and that's something he doesn't want to try.
"That is if he doesn't turn us into scrap for our failure. There's no way he'll believe us." SG Cliffjumper said as SG Arcee crossed her arms.
"We shall see." She hummed.
While Arcee and Cliffjumper were watching from a safe position, Emily and Emilia were almost close to using a powerful move.
"There! It's ready!" Emilia shouted as her comlink turned on.
"About time, we're getting shot to pieces here." Starscream exaggerated.
"Just relax, Screamy, and start flying low. I have a little surprise for your friends." Emilia told him as Megatronus decided to trust her.
"Do as she says." He told Starscream.
Megatronus, Strarscream and Soundwave began to fly low as asked. The Autobots below the ground couldn't even shoot at them because they were too busy with their burning feets. Although the Autobots wondered what they were doing flying low like that.
"Why are they flying this low?" Skydive questioned in confusion.
"Beats me." Air Raid had no clue.
"Your orders, sir?" Jetfire questioned their commander.
"Keep firing." Silverbolt ordered and Jetfire was a little worried.
"What about our troops below?" He asked but Silverbolt is a little ticked off.
So what about their troops? Their enemies are their top priority.
"Nevermind them! Killing those Decepticons is our top priority! Take them down now!" Silverbolt ordered while ignoring Jetfire's concern.
"Yes, sir…" He complied begrudgingly.
Even though some of their forces were on the ground, the Aerialbots kept shooting at the Decepticons by Silverbolt's order. Most of their own got shot but by their own nature they didn't care since orders were orders. Megatronus, Starscream and Soundwave were getting closer to where Emily, Emilia and Optimus were.
Luckily Megatronus and the two others flew below too fast, preventing Megatronus from entering a big confusion. After the three passed by them, Emilia was trying to hold on the lava
"Can you hold it a bit longer?" Emily asked as she got ready as Emilia was straining her energy.
"Barely…" She gritted through her teeth.
"Wait for my signal." Emily told her and Emilia looked at her counterpart and decided to trust her for a bit.
"Stay down, we cannot risk getting hurt. There's too many of them." Optimus told them as they braced themselves from some stray Energon shots fired on them.
"Don't worry, we'll stay down. We just have to resist a bit more until they get closer. Get ready." Emily said as she narrowed her eyes.
The Aerialbots were getting closer and closer. Emily was keeping a close eye on them while avoiding getting shot. She wanted to wait for them to get close to give them a rather burning surprise.
"Wait for it. Wait for it." Emily said as the Aerialbots were getting closer and she gave the signal.
"Now!" She exclaimed loudly.
Emily started hitting the ground. As the ground began to break and release the molten magma, both her and Emilia raised their arms in the air. The molten lava started following their movement. It started going up and when they put their arms down and began to push.
The lava began to advance like a huge hot flaming wave. It was heading straight for the Autobots ground forces and the Aerialbots that were on the wave's path.
When Silverbolt saw the huge lava wave, he instantly ordered his troops to get clear of this lava wave before they got hit and melted to scrap.
"GET CLEAR OF THIS WAVE!!! BREAK FORMATION!!!" Silverbolt quickly ordered in alarm and shock.
Silverbolt and his squad avoided the lava wave along with some other Autobot flyers. However some got hit along with the Autobots ground forces.
When the wave came down and the molten lava slowly disappeared and cool into obsidian. All that was left was burned metal. The plan had worked!
"Yeah!" Emily cheered happily.
"All right! Take that, bots!" Emilia cheered in amazement and grinned widely as Emily turned to her with a wide smile.
"High five!" She said as both of them did high five out of happiness.
Megatronus, who was still flying in the skies, felt like congratulating Emilia for that plan.
"Good work, Emilia. Very impressive." Megatronus congratulated her through the comlink.
"Thanks." Emilia said with a smile.
On the ground, Emilia directed her look to Emily and Optimus who were watching her as she smiled a little.
"Though it shouldn't surprise you that much since I knew it would work. But now that you mention it. You should also congratulate someone else. If it wasn't for her and company I would never have done it without their help." Emilia said with a slight grin.
On the skies, Megatronus was confused by what she meant. Didn't she do the plan alone? Does that mean that she had help? But from who?
"Wait, you had help? That's a first. What kind of…" Megatronus said in confusion as he circled back and tilted a little see where Emilia is and trailed off.
Megatronus didn't finish what he was saying, for he was shocked at what he saw or in this case who. He had seen a very very familiar face. One he had sworn to take down a long time ago as he saw Emilia and someone else standing close to his enemy.
"Optimus!" Megatronus shouted.
As Megatronus was heading for Optimus, he saw a jet coming down his way. He recognized the model and could not believe who it was. The jet transformed and landed on the ground on its two feet. Optimus Prime saw in horror who it was and Emily was shocked to see him as she took a step back near Optimus for protection. It was Megatron.
He looked exactly like the Megatron they knew. Except for a big slight difference. He looked silver white and had a few scratches. He had a bit of red and blue on him and his optics were blue and in his chest was the Decepticon insignia coloured in red. And he did not look happy by how his optics looked at Optimus.
"Megatron." Optimus was a little alarmed but was in shock.
"Optimus Prime? You're here?" Megatronus uttered in confusion and anger and the anger was reflected back at him.
"I do not know how you transport us into this strange world. But one thing is certain. I will not let you get away with this." Optimus told him with narrowed optics as Megatronus narrowed his optics at him.
"I was gonna tell you the same thing, Optimus. Let us end this here and now!" Megatronus shouted as the two began to charge towards each other despite both girls stopping them.
"Optimus, no!" Emily shouted to her friend.
"Megatronus, wait!" Emilia tried to stop her leader.
Both warriors didn't listen to what both girls said and kept running toward each other and were preparing to duke it out with each other.
