Hello everyone! Welcome back to another chapter of Kiki's Secret, in this chapter Jaypaw and Lionpaw will try and make Kiki go back to ThunderClan with them. Will they succeed in their task? Or will their sister refuse to return? Well, you'll just have to read and find out. Now, without further ado, let's take flight.
oOo
Kiki just stared with furious emerald green eyes at the two cats in front of her. They were her brothers, Jaypaw and Lionpaw. She had Jiji by her side, the black tomcat was ready to defend his mate at all costs... wait one second. Did he just think of Kiki as his mate?
Jaypaw, the sharp tongued one, was the first to speak. "Please, Hollypaw. Tomorrow is our warriors ceremony, and Firestar would be delighted to see you again. And so would Leafpool." Kiki hissed and flexed her claws. She was never going back to ThunderClan, not as long as Leafpool is there.
"I .SAID. NO. NOW LEAVE ME AND JIJI ALONE!" Kiki screeched loud enough for a couple of the BloodClan cats to come running at the commotion. "Mist, Shadow, what's wrong? Are these cats disrupting your training?" A black she cat with dappled tabby gray stripes mewed, staring at Kiki with a knowing look in her crystal blue eyes.
Kiki hissed and dug her claws into the sharp stone pavement, she nodded and readied to pounce, but Glowmoon and Iceshine stopped her with a shake of their heads. "But-But why? I can do it, Ghost has taught me how to fight," Kiki protested, but then Ember, and her sister Bolt came upon the scene as well.
"You should listen to Glowmoon and Iceshine, Mist." Ember meowed calmly to the still bristling she-cat. Kiki sighed and flattened her ears, then meowed angrily, "But they're trying to force me to come back to ThunderClan with them."
Jiji then mewed something into Kiki's ear. "Hay, Kiki. Can't you turn back into a human and fly them back to where they came from?" He asked, and Kiki shook her head and replied, "I would but... these cats don't know that I can do that," Kiki replied quietly, and Jiji gave her an understanding smile, Kiki smiled back and licked Jiji's cheek. The small black tomcat could feel his face heating up, and he was once again thankful that he had black fur.
"Hay, Moon. Where's Scourge? Is he out hunting?" Kiki asked, and the black-and-gray striped tabby she-cat nodded her head. "We should inform him of these two when he gets back," Kiki mewed, and the other BloodClan cats and Jiji nodded in agreement. Lionpaw was the next to speak up. "Why do you hate us so much, Hollypaw? Was it something that we said? Please, Hollypaw. Just please tell us, why are you so angry?" He asked, his ears flattening on his head as he stared at Kiki with sad eyes.
Kiki just huffed and turned her back on him. She then stalked off to train with Jiji, her mentor, Ghost, and some of the other BloodClan cats. However, she turned back to look over her shoulder and mewed, "Because you, Jaypaw, and Leafpool all left me to die. Firestar, Cinderpelt, Brightheart, and a few other ThunderClan cats were the only ones to really care for me. And StarClan gave me a second chance at life and I was finally happy, I found people who cared and actually love me, like my parents, and Jiji. I still miss Firestar, Cinderpelt, and those other cats that truely cared for me, but I can't afford to go back now, I'm not ready. Now please, just go before anything bad happens to you." And with those final words, she spun on her paws and followed Jiji, Ghost, and the other BloodClan cats that had came upon the scene.
The four cats had gone out for some more battle training, with the permission of Scourge of course. They had been training for quite some time now, and the sun was blazing down on them and burning through their pelts, but that didn't stop the four cats from their intense training routine.
"Okay, I think that's enough training for one day. Come on, let's get back, Scourge will be waiting to hear how well you two have progressed in your training," Ghost mewed, shaking out her pelt and giving her paws a quick grooming, before they started their trek back to BloodClan's territory
The light was fading by the time the small group of cats could see anything other than waving grass. The lowering sun in the west tinted the sky a dusky orange, and the buildings of the alleyways ahead of them were casting long shadows.
They walk past the border marks, and finally come in site of camp. And just as Ghost had suspected, both Scourge and Wolf were waiting for them outside of the entrance to BloodClan's territory.
"So, how was patrol? You guys sure were out for quite a while, and how did Mist and Shadow's training go?" Scourge asked, staring up at Ghost, who smiled proudly and patted her apprentice on the head with a paw.
Ghost replied with a small smile. "They are both excellent hunters, and Hollypaw seems to know quite a lot about herbs and medicine." They silver tabby mewed with a proud green in her eyes. Scourge simply nodded his head and twitched an ear. "That's interesting," he mewed with a small twitch of his whiskers. "Now, you all go and rest now, you deserve it." The black tomcat mewed and with a flick of his tail, he slipped back inside with the others following close behind.
