It was the middle of the afternoon; Toffee was in his study working on his duties that is until he heard a knock on the door.
"Come in." He said, just then Marco came in.
"Hey Toffee you got a minute?" He asked
"Sure, what do you need my boy?" He asked Marco looked nervous he was rubbing his arm. Toffee notices his twitches and got concerned. "Is it about your arm?" He asked
"Oh no, not that, it's about something that I found." He said toffee was now more curious. "I got lost the other day again and I found this weird scroll." He said
"You have to be more specific this castle is filled with scrolls." He said.
"It told me about Comet Butterfly." He said Toffee then looked at Marco.
"H-How do you know that name!" He asked
"From the scroll, but what doesn't make sense…"
"Marco enough!" Toffee said scaring the boy. "I don't want to hear anything about this again, and if you bring this up or do anything involving this subject; I will call off the wedding and send you home, do I make myself clear!" He threatens.
"Yes, Sir." Marco then left Toffee's office and the lizard sighed in exhaust as he took a deep breath.
-Meanwhile-
Star was in her room on her compact texting Ponyhead, laughing and giggling that is until she got a call, she answered it.
"Hello?" She asked
"Star its Angie I was wondering if you and Marco could come by."
"Oh yeah, sure we could drop by." Star said.
"Thanks, we're having a baby shower so make sure you guys bring a gift." She said.
"We will." Star said as she hung up. She hops out of bed and headed towards her bathroom to get ready when she entered the bathroom, Marco came in.
"Marco! Is that you?" She asked
"Yeah, where are you?"
"In the bathroom, your mom invited us for a baby shower." She yelled
"Oh really?" He asked as he sat down on the bed. "It has been a while since I saw them."
"Yeah… Marco have you ever thought about having a baby?" Star asked
"Kind of a weird question, but yeah I do hope that we could have a baby together." He said as he fell back on the bed. "Do you want to have a baby?" He asked
"Of course, I do, but it's expected for Butterfly royalty, we have an heir after the first year of our marriage." Star said
"Kind of a strict rule." He said, Star then came out of the bathroom wearing a sky blue sleeveless short dress with a tied string at the neckline, a peach-colored belt and a red belt around the waist and hips, a little gray cloud-shaped bag with a face, striped blue leggings, light blue sneakers with white tips, and fuzzy light blue leg warmers. She then sat down next to him.
"Yeah, but It's kind of a strict rule here, it was made by the Magical High Commission in case of the queen ever meets her untimely end, the crowned princess is put in charge." She said
"Wow, that a lot of pressure on you." He said.
"My Mom told me that it was because my grandmother passed away. She became the queen at fourteen, but she didn't let that stop her she's an awesome queen and very strong!" Star said with stars in her eyes.
"I guess you look up to your Mom?" He asked
"Yep, even after having me she stays strong and I hope to be like that!" She said as she turned to Marco. "and I hope that I can just a great." She said. Marco then grabbed her hand.
"You will Star, and I will make sure of it." He said.
"Thank you, Marco, I love you so much." She said
"And I you." Marco said, the two then hopped up from the bed.
"Oh, and look what pony head got me." Star said as she pulled out red dimensional scissors. She then tore open a hole and gestured towards it.
"Shall we." She asked as the two of them entered and returned to Earth
-With Toffee-
Toffee was drinking swamp an entire bottle of swamp water; his hair was a mess he was staring out the window trying to calm himself down.
"Come on Toffee, this hasn't bothered you in the slightest in the past, why is he bring this up now!" He asked as he chugged his drink. He then pulled out his compact and sighed. "Hey, it's me, we need to talk!" He said
-Meanwhile-
Star and Marco, were in the Echo Creek, they were at the Diaz's baby shower but Marco was keeping his distance from most of the people since they saw him around, they have been giving him a stink eye and whispering, Marco soon went up to Star.
"Hey Star, I think I'm going to go for a walk." He said
"You sure?" She asked
"Yeah, I'm just don't want to be around people, right now." He said.
"Fine, but you need to pay a toll to get away." She said.
"Okay, what?" He asked Star then presented her cheek and tapped it with her finger. Marco then gave her a kiss and headed out.
"God get a room." Star then looked over and saw Janna.
"Janna, what are you doing here?" Star asked
"Well I heard that you guys were in town, so I figured I stick around for the mayhem." She said
"No there won't be any of that, we're here for the baby shower." Star said.
"Really, then where is tentacle boy going?" She asked
"He's just going for a walk, to clear his head." She said
"And you're not worried that he might go crazy?" She asked.
"Don't worry, he's been keeping his anger in check." Star informed with a smile.
"If you say so, any way you guys do anything weird with that arm?" Janna asked
"What no!" Star said
"Have you thought about it?" Janna asked with a smirk.
"C-Can we talk about something else!" Star insisted.
"Okay okay, so how is he bed?" She asked Star groaned
-With Marco-
Marco was walking down the street taking in the scenery of his old home until he walked past a jewelry store. As he walked inside he started to looking around, he soon found something that caught his eye.
-Later-
Star was helping clean up after the party, Star was now getting worried Marco's been gone for a while and hasn't returned yet.
"Oh, Star could help me put this stuff in the baby's room." Angie asked
"Oh sure, Mrs. Diaz." Star said.
"Oh no need for formality, just call me Angie." Angie insisted.
"Okay, I will." Star then took the baby's gift and took them to the baby's room, her old room. As she sets the gifts down. She soon sat down and picked up a stuffed toy.
"Hmm, this baby is going to be loved by everyone." She said
"I hope we could visit often." Star looked back and saw Marco. Star then stood up and walked towards him.
"Where have you been?" She asked
"Just around and I got something that I really needed." He said, he then pulled out a velvet box and opened it and inside was an engagement ring.
"Marco, how did you get this?" She asked
"Don't worry about it, all that matters is that you have this." He said as she slid it on. Star looked at it and was amazed by the diamond, it wasn't big but it was lovely.
"Marco I-I don't…" Marco then silences her with a peck.
"You do, plus its kind of a tradition here to give the woman you're marrying a wedding ring." He said
"Thank you Marco." She said as she hugged him, but as she did she frown and backed away from him.
"Marco I need to tell you something." She said
"What is it?" He asked
"Marco… I…"
"Marco! Could you help with something?" Angie called.
"Alright, Mom!" Marco called "I'll be right back." He said as he left leaving Star. The princess then took a deep breath.
"I have to tell him; he needs to know even if it means it makes things worse." She thought.
"Yeah, go ahead tell him what a slut you are!" Star heard, she looked back and saw herself half-naked, her eyes covered by her hair. "let him dump you then we can go back to Tom." It said
"No, he'll understand we love each other!" She said
"Do you?" She asked Star just looked at her with a shockingly confused look. "Think about it, the guy wanted nothing to do, he just wanted to be left alone, but you just forced your way into his life, now you guys were forced into arrange marriage, in fact, if you had just left him to die…"
"Shut up!" She yelled
"Just face it, he is better off dead and alone!"
"SHUT UP!" She yelled louder as she fell to her knees and covered her ears. "Please stop!" She begged. Just then she felt a hand on her shoulder she looked back and saw Marco.
"Star are you okay?" He asked, Star then got teary-eyed.
"No, I'm not!" She said as she hugged him.
"It' s okay, I'm here and I'm here." He said
-Elsewhere-
In a little monster pub, a hooded king came in and started to look around. Till he saw who he was looking for he went over and sat down.
"Good to see you again, General." Seth said
"Don't call me that, look Seth I just came to end this." Toffee said
"Oh, and how will you? Will you tell your wife that you…"
"Be quiet!" Toffee gritted.
"Relax as soon as I get what I want, I'll leave you alone." He said
"Well then what, what do you want I'll get it for you!" He said. Seth just smiled as Toffee tighten his grip.
