Chapter 4 -VALENTINES DAY

MEL AND SHEA
Shea was so excited! Today she was taking her beautiful girlfriend, Mel out for a romantic dinner and walk in the park for Valentine's Day. Shea was humming along to the playlist the girls had put together with songs that they both loved. She was wearing the light pink dress that she knew Mel loved. Paired with a headband and pink Mary Janes, it was the perfect outfit for this occasion.
Before she knew it, the time came to go pick up Mel. The love-struck young woman headed down the dormitory hallway to her girlfriends room. Shea knocked on the door and as she waited she held out the bouquet of carnations and roses that she got for Mel.
When Mel answered the door she had to catch her breath at what she saw. "Hey gorgeous you look so hot! That outfit is amazing!" she said trying to get air back into her lungs.
Blushing severely Shea grinned."Thank you so much my sweetheart. I picked it out because I know you like it. You look amazing and sexy too. I love you in those skinny jeans and that floral button up! I love the white canvas runners too! I got these for you. Happy Valentines Day my love."
Taking the flowers from Shea, Mel leaned in and kissed her girlfriend. The kiss was deep and passionate. When the kiss broke the girls rested their foreheads together. "Thank you for the flowers that was sweet of you. Ready to go to dinner?"
Taking her love's hand Shea nodded. A few minutes later they were at the restaurant. It was a charming little place, with red and white checked table cloths and calm atmosphere. That night it was filled with candle light as all the tables had candles on them and the lights were turned low. The girls were seated instantly.
As they were looking at the menu and deciding what they were going to order, the girls snuck love filled glances at each other. It was obvious to anyone who looked at them that they were in love and enjoying themselves. Usually when they went out they kept flirting and displays of affection at a minimum, but that night it was all about them and they did not care what other people thought.
"Have you decided what you want, my love" Mel asked unable to keep a grin off of her face.
"I have. I am going to get the pasta with chicken. How about you?" Shea asked reaching over to hold her loves hand.
"I am going to have the lasagna. This is very romantic Shea. I am so glad you decided on this place. I love you so much and this last year has been the best of my life. I believe we are soulmates and are gong to be together forever." Mel said happy tears in her eyes as she told her love what was in her heart.
Shea was just about to answer when the waitress came and got their order. After she left, She looked deep into Mel's eyes and kissed her softly.."I love you too and I totally agree with you. When we first met it was like I had known you forever. Thank you for being understanding about my family situation. I am so grateful for you."
"I am glad I was able to help you though all that.. When I first came to Crawford I was a mess and you helped me sort through my feelings and got me back on track. I want to thank you again." Mel said as she snuggled into her girlfriend.

The spell was broken slightly when their food came. Over dinner, the girls talked about everything and nothing. On occasion they would just look at each other and said everything that needed to be said without saying a word.

"My sweet girl you did not ruin the night. I'm with you so the night is perfect no matter what we do. I have an idea. Why don't we get into comfortable clothes and watch our go to movie and cuddle." Mel said hugging and kissing her love.
