You Did That, For Me?

Skye headed up the elevator to the observatory. For whatever reason, Ryder had asked her to come to the observatory after dinner. She had personally hoped this was not related to her "issue". True, it had gotten her into a rough patch lately, but some good talks with her mother and brother, a little taking care of her needs, and a little reality check about Chase's cluelessness in this area had done a lot to help her work through it.

When she arrived topside, she was surprised to see a slightly shaky Chase standing by Ryder.

"Skye," began her owner, as he pushed Chase forward from behind to encourage him, "Chase and I have a few things would like to say to you."

"Sk -Skye, do you re remember that time you told me about what you and Katie had talked about?"

Skye giggled. "I remember you were as green as Rocky's truck afterwards."

"An anyway, I did didn't… take you up on that offer because I was still curious, I did it because I f felt move moved that you would trust me with that."

As Chase tried to catch his breath, Skye felt a warm look pass over her face, Chase's revelation really had touched her.

"A few weeks ago, I thought I saw Chase masturbating, so I took him to Katie to see if he had an "issue" like you, and we found out that he had only attempted it, and he had been about as successful as your mutual masturbation attempt a few nights ago," recalled her owner. "But more importantly, Chase, tell Skye why you tried to do that," asked Ryder.

I th thought if I coul could learn to appreciate it, because I know it brings you happiness, I thought we would grow cl closer together.

Skye gasped. She couldn't say another word.

"Do you remember your Christmas present, Skye? Chase obviously didn't pick it out, but he was insistent with me that it be something like that because only you would be able to appreciate it, and that would make it all the more special," he said.

Sky's jaw dropped. She knew he cared about her, but she never thought he would go to this length to engage with something he clearly didn't understand, just for her.

"You did all of that, for me?"

The blushing Shepherd nodded. "Actually, um, Skye," began Chase, "the night you had that fit, I know it was dumb of me to jump into it like that, but I, I, just, sniff, couldn't take, sniff, seeing you that upset, sniff, anymore".

"Uh! Chase …" began Skye as she tried to put her emotions into words.

Ryder smiled and began, "Not too long ago, I asked Chase the hypothetical question that if I let you two mate, would he do it. Much to my surprise, he said he would."

Skye's eyes bulged upon hearing this and almost rushed over to him, but Ryder held out his hand, asking her to wait.

"Of course, after asking several questions, he wasn't exactly comfortable, or knowledgeable about the details of what that would actually entail but, tell her what you said Chase," requested Ryder.

"Because it would make you happy," said Chase solemnly.

At this point, Skye could no longer contain herself, and she burst forward and tackled him, and began kissing him passionately.

Ryder stood there, watching Skye carefully as the two made out for the next five minutes. He then interrupted them. "As I told Chase then, the two of you have a bit more growing to do, and if you did right now, you would not have the best experience, so the two of you should wait until you're older and can give each other the best experience you can. As your mother said, Skye, when the time comes for the two of you to make love, there will be real love between you to be made. I want you to think about all this tonight, Skye, but remember, that said time will come eventually, and when it does, I will not deny it to either of you. Remember, Skye, I want you to think about all this tonight," he concluded. "Now, I think it's time that both of you got to bed," he finished,

"Actually, Skye," interrupted Chase, "when we were… attempting… you know… I honestly didn't mind when you…"

"No!" interjected Ryder, causing Skye to blush.

"Um, Ryder," she began, "I think I… need to take care of… some things…"

Ryder nodded in approval, and Skye left the room. He then turned his attention toward Chase. "We need to have a conversation about what you almost just said," informed his Owner.

As he walked back to his pup house, he could have sworn he heard Skye and he hurried his pace before he became any more, uncomfortable, but when he began settling in, he thought, "even if I don't understand why she enjoys that, I know that she does, and that she is happy; nothing else matters." And upon this thought, the little Alsatian was whisked away into a pleasant slumber.

I want you to think about all this: Skye learned this skill through Ryder's 5 pronged punishment for the library book affair; What does this say about Ryder's original intent.

Cfruge444 (Lessons Learned): This in between story primarily expands on a subplot in the story Discoveries. Also, Ryder/Carlos/Maria only came down this hard on Chase (6months ago incident)/Skye/Tracker/Xochitl because they saw what their pups had done as being exceptionally bad, and in Skye's case, that's indisputable.

Kr1ticle (Lessons Learned) Thanks, I hope I did not make Carlos seem too severe. I get that his brand of tough love is tougher than Ryder's, but he really does care about Tracker and in the end just wants him to learn his lesson.

I felt it was best to have Skye's closure to this particular incident to happen in the same location where she had her meltdown at the beginning of the story to bring things full circle. With regards to my last story, I briefly thought of asking for people which owner did the best or worst job of disciplining their naughty pup, but it would just turn and to everyone beating up on a certain character because we all know who did the worst job (cough, pup w/ Aztec name, cough), and exceptional circumstances (been a very bad pup). Two ideas I thought that I might explore further are Jake's disciplinary methods, and Rocky's "private habits", but the problem with either is what more is to be said about either of them? Also, I would need something (small) for Everest to get in trouble for, and haven't we seen enough pup pup punishment for a bit? Anyway, there were a few details from older stories I don't think I made clear enough such as: how did Skye know what the swear word Rex accidentally said meant, why Dr. Turbot said she would allow "a limited amount of mutual masturbation", what was that business about xochitl saying something suggestive to Tracker, and Ryder's viewpoints regarding Skye's parents. If you want further explanation on any of these or any details from older stories, PM me. In any case the one about Skye's appointment will probably be next, and I want to do some things about how a mistake was made with Skye's punishment, as well as Skye blaming herself for her circumstances. I also thought of what if Ryder got into a spat with Carlos and/ or Maria over how the two dealt with Tracker and Xochi's misdeeds, but I'm not sure how that would even work, though I can see him chewing out Maria, but I can't so easily see why he would consider it any of his business.
