I'm doing my best to alternate updating this and my Among Us AU, and this chapter took a while for me to write. But, here we are with an update.

Please enjoy. :)

As it turns out finding Blake is harder than Yang had thought. After finishing washing the dishes, Yang looked in the living room, then her room, and Ruby's room. No demon cat to be found. Yang pinches her brow in frustration, sighing as she goes to check the living room again. It has the best lighting so maybe Yang just missed her, and she knows that Blake likes the lighting in that room the most.

This time Yang looks everywhere. Under the couch, behind fake plants, in the pillow pile on the couch, under all the chairs, even behind the TV. Starting to get irritated Yang checks the bathroom, opening the door with more force than necessary and flicking on the light. She opens all the drawers, cupboards, and behind the shower curtain; even behind the door.

Still no Blake.

Just as Yang is about to give up and ask for Ruby's help, she hears something from her Dad's room. Not remembering hearing her Dad get home Yang calls out, "Dad, you home?"

No answer. Frowning Yang flicks off the bathroom light and checks her Dad's room. The door is no different from her own and Ruby's but she still hesitates. Their Dad has been on a business trip for a couple of weeks now, texting every once and a while, and sending them money for groceries. It's been like that ever since Yang and Ruby started going to high school. He would be gone for weeks or months at a time, and only be home for about a month or two throughout the year.

Pushing those thoughts out of her head Yang slowly opens the door. It's been years since she's been inside, it feels wrong without her Dad at his desk typing away on his computer.

"Did you know that your Father has some very interesting Tomes?" inside is Blake, standing by the bookshelf in her more human-like form, holding an open book in her hands, as one of her cat ears flicks and her eyes glint in the low light. Yang just stands in the doorway staring. Blake looks the same as when she was summoned. Same white long coat and the same tight black pants from before.

"Didn't Weiss turn you into a cat?" Yang asks, entering the darkroom and flicking on the light.

Blake snaps the book shut and returns it to the bookshelf, "She did, but her magic isn't strong enough to keep me like that for more than a couple of hours." she pulls out another book, this one looking much older than the last.

"So why didn't you change back sooner?"

Blake glances up at Yang, her bright yellow eyes almost glowing in the light.

"I am a feline," Blake says as she turns the page.

"I thought you're a demon?"

Blake sighs and puts the book back on the shelf, facing Yang. "There are different types of Demons. Some look like birds, dogs, lizards, or cats. We can make ourselves look more human," Blake said as she gestures to herself. "Or we can look more animalistic and demonic."

Suddenly the room turns cold, the flickers and dims as the shadows are pooling under Blake's feet; then the shadows surge up her body covering her, moving and wreathing and dripping like water. What was Blake's body gets bigger and taller, with those yellow eyes glowing. Then as fast as they appeared, the shadows disappear leaving a true monster standing in front of Yang.

Stumbling back, Yang's back hits the doorframe and she can feel her heartbeat in her skull; beating fast and frantic, air caught in her throat. The monster takes a step closer raising a giant clawed hand that is dripping in shadows and gently lifting Yang's chin with its finger and thumb. Forced Yang to look at it and its glowing yellow eyes. Black fur is covered with moving shadows that drip and roam like water, its body is lean and long but its face is hidden in the shadows, showing only its eyes and long fangs that hang out of its mouth. And tall ears on top of its head, the tips flickering almost like fire.

The fangs grin, "Do I look like a demon now?"

Its voice is deep, gravelly, and distorted but somehow still very Blake. Yang swallows nervously, sweat dripping down her back.

"Y-yeah," chokes out Yang. The clawed hand lets go of Yang's face and the demon steps back, the shadows cover its whole body and shrink. Blake is back to looking like a normal cat.

"So I heard that the Mage has found something worth sharing?"

Yang lets out a breath she didn't realize she was holding and chuckles her slightly shaking hand scratching the back of her head. "Yeah, coming Demon kitty."

"Don't call me that."

The drive to Weiss's place is awkward, to say the least. Ruby, who is normally talking about something either school-related or Weiss-related; is quiet. Just quietly tapping away on her phone with Blake resting on her lap. Yang keeps glancing at Blake as she drives, expecting her to do something. After whatever happened in her Dad's room, Yang can't shake the feeling that Blake won't just eat them all when she feels like it. Or worse.

Finally, a few minutes later Yang turns into the 'rich' neighborhood and parks in Wess's driveway. Weiss is standing on the porch and she waves when she sees them pull in. Yang kills the engine and unbuckles her seatbelt before gently grabbing Blake from Ruby's lap. Blake quickly climbs her way onto Yang's shoulders and settles.

Too tired to really care anymore Yang just gets out of the car and follows Ruby to the house. Weiss kisses Ruby on the cheek in greeting, noddes to Yang, and glares at Blake.

"Come on in," waves Weiss as she walks deeper inside the house. "Keep your shoes on we're going down to the basement."

Ruby leans over loudly whispering, "She keeps all her magic stuff down there."

"What? Like a secret lair or something?" Yang whispers back.

"I can still hear you!" shouts Weiss from the stairs leading to the basement. Ruby just chuckles and follows after her girlfriend.

Yang hesitates. Something about following them down there feels like she turning her back on a normal life. Something that Yang didn't think she actually wanted until Blake happened. Acting like nothing had changed while Weiss did her research was probably one of the hardest things she's ever done. Yang had wanted to scream and cry about why this was happening to her. The summoning was supposed to be some dumb teenager stuff on a Saturday afternoon. Not whatever is happening now.

She's never felt so alone.

"You should follow them before the Mage thinks I did something to you," says Blake, right in Yang's ear making her jump.

"Oh Jesus!" yells Yang. "Never do that again!"

Blake jumps off Yang's shoulders, turning back into her human form. "I make no promises," said Blake over her shoulder as she followed Weiss and Ruby downstairs.

Yang smiles at Blake's attempt to cheer her up if it even was that. But Blake did manage to get Yang out of her own head. Shaking herself out of her self-doubt and gently running her hands through her hair, Yang gathers herself and then follows the rest to the basement.

As soon as Yang steps out of the stairwell, Weiss spots her and waves her closer to the rest of the group. Walking over Yang idly notices that Blake had changed back into her cat self and is sitting on the book-covered desk letting Ruby scratch her ears.

"Good, now that you're here I can share what I've found," said Weiss as she moves some of her thicker books away from Blake. "Which I will admit wasn't much."

"Don't worry too much about it Weiss, you found more than Yang and me would have found on our own." speaks up Ruby, looking up from her Blake petting.

"It's Yang and I," retorts Weiss without missing a beat, but looking away at the subtle prise. Grabbing a piece of parchment paper with what looks like a dragon on it, Weiss finally looks up at Yang with the most serious expression that Yang has ever seen. And Weiss is serious about everything. "Are you ready to hear what I found?"

Yang takes a breath to steady herself, stealing her nerves, "Yeah, Ice Queen. Share with the group I guess."

Weiss just nodes and flips open the book in front of her.

I'm not sorry for the cliffhanger.

Yes, Weiss has a Batcave.

Ps: my face is very sunburnt and I'm in pain.
