I don't remember much else. It has always been me protecting my own.

I don't remember how it started, exactly what happened, but one minute I'm rescuing workers in a secret underground lab and the next minute I am here.

My family looks at me…differently now. I know that, I can feel that, but I cannot remember what the looks used to be. Colours have faded and disappeared altogether.

They don't touch me anymore. There are vague swirls of memories, of warm hands on shoulders, of bear hugs and squid hugs. Of creaking ribs and barely breathing hugs. But I don't really remember and they don't touch me anymore.

It doesn't matter.

I stand guard. I guard my own.

I am the line and I will guard my own to the death.

Beyond death.

They need to leave this sanctuary to get supplies. An island like this doesn't have enough for ten people, even though Brains is busy cutting back some of the jungle to turn the ground to food growing. They are going to need it. Fuel will not last forever, even if I am no longer flying One.

So when they need to leave I go with them.

I am the line that protects them from the ravages of the outside world as mankind tears itself apart.

That lab? Apparently it was experimenting on some kind of bioweapon. They got more than they bargained for. The explosion released a bacterium that killed. But bodies weren't dead. A real-life zombie outbreak.

Virgil, John, EOS, Grandma and Brains are trying to find a cure. Thankfully the bacterium has to enter the blood stream for it to take effect. Unfortunately, zombies like to bite and tear at their victims.

Gordon, Alan, Kayo along with Casey, Penny and Parker are working on…actually, I have no idea what they are working on.
