Dumbledore let himself sink back into his seat. "I am getting too old for this. Minerva, will you please become the headmistress, so that I can retire and possibly accept the position as the minister of magic after the next election?"

Minerva shook her head. "I am sorry, Albus, but I'd rather ask Salazar as the owner of Hogwarts to become the headmaster."

Salazar smirked. "Only under two conditions."

"And what might these be?"

"That Severus takes back the head of house position and that you, my dear, agree to marry me." With that, Salazar stepped over to Minerva and pulled her into a gentle hug.

"I agree." Minerva's mouth bent to a small smile.

"Congratulations, Granny Minerva and Salazar." Connie was the first to comment, and Harry followed swiftly, while Salazar took a moment to kiss Minerva.

"Severus?" Salazar then quirked an eyebrow in a manner that strangely reminded Harry of Severus. 'I wonder if the two of them are somehow related,' he thought in amusement.

"I only agree if Harry and Connie will be willing to remain my student assistants and teach the first through third year classes in Potions."

"But Severus," Dumbledore spoke up in obvious disapproval, "Harry is only going to be a fifth-year, and his friend is not even a student at Hogwarts."

"Mr. Potter is already a potions master and has been for three years now, and Mrs. Potter has taken her NEWT in Potions at least four years ago and will be a fifth-year student at Hogwarts from September onwards. Both have already been my student assistants for three years."

"Severus?" Connie grinned broadly. "If you deem us able to teach these classes, we will."

Harry nodded his agreement. "Of course."

Dumbledore shook his head in apparent confusion, as he took off his half-moon spectacles and began to clean them the muggle way. "Salazar, seeing that everyone agreed to your conditions, will you be ready to take over as headmaster from tomorrow onwards?"

"Yes sir." The ancient wizard let out a deep sigh. "My first two actions as owner and headmaster will be to dissolve the Board of Governors and to establish a rule that does not allow any interference from the Ministry of Magic into Hogwarts."

"Thank Merlin." Minerva nodded in obvious relief.

"I agree." Severus smirked. "Albus, will you be available as Minister of Magic relatively soon? After hearing what Minister Fudge said about you and Hogwarts, I intend to ask for a vote-of-no confidence at the next Wizengamot meeting."

"Are you sure that it's wise, my boy, considering your past?"

Harry rolled his eyes, when Dumbledore used his grandfatherly voice again. "Don't worry, Severus. I shall ask Unspeakable Paws to instigate the vote of no confidence."

"Are you sure that Unspeakable Paws will do exactly as you ask him, my boy?"

Harry smirked. "Yes, sir. He is my regent. If he won't obey, I'm simply going to take up the lordship and occupy the Potter seat myself."

Dumbledore shook his head. "You can only take your seat, when you're of age, which in the magical world is the age of seventeen."

"No, sir, the magical world considers me an adult ever since I married Connie at the age of five."

Dumbledore returned a look of utmost confusion.

"If that's all, Albus, we'll leave you to your discussion with Salazar. I'm sure that you'll have much to talk about." With that, Minerva ushered the rest of them out of the headmaster's office.

HP

"Harry, did you really have to provoke him that much?" she asked, lightly reprimanding, when they passed the gargoyle. "He was close to getting a heart failure."

"Sorry, Minerva, but yes. Oh, by the way, what do we have to do to enrol Connie for the next school year?"

Minerva's expression softened considerably. "Congratulations, Connie. I am very happy that you managed to gain magic. Very well done."

"Thanks, Granny Minerva." Connie grinned in obvious happiness. "I am very happy."

"Do you still have school next week, or will you be able to attend the fourth-year end of year tests?"

Connie shrugged. "Considering that I'm a witch now, I don't mind skipping the muggle school. Somehow, I still can't believe it though."

Harry shook his head. "No dear, properly finish the muggle school year for your parents' sake. I will take you back in time every day. Just a few hours won't be a problem. Now, I am going to invite Mr. Lovegood to join us in my suitcase for an interview. Would you all mind accompanying us?"

Everyone agreed, and they spent the following hours discussing Voldemort's demise with the editor of the Quibbler.

"Oh Merlin, first of all, congratulations Mrs. Potter, and secondly, I believed that the third task of the tournament was going to be the big headline tomorrow morning. Apparently, I was mistaken. Thank you so very much for your confidence. Mr. Potter, may I send you the article for approval in about an hour?"

Harry shook his head. "I believe that's not necessary, sir. Just print it please. You've never disappointed me so far."

HP

While the front page of the Daily Prophet marvelled about the Triwizard tournament, which had ended with a tie, the headline of the Quibbler's front page screamed, 'Lord Voldemort vanquished by fifteen-year-old Connie Potter!'

'Barty Crouch Junior (see more about him on page 5) impersonating Alastor Moody at Hogwarts, turned the Triwizard cup into a Portkey, which took all four champions of the tournament to a graveyard. Voldemort AKA Tom Riddle ordered Peter Pettigrew (see more about him on page 6) to kill the spares, as he voiced it; he only needed Harry Potter for a ritual; however, Pettigrew failed to kill them. Harry Potter swiftly turned the three of them invisible and instructed them to take the Portkey back. At the same time, he informed a team of Unspeakables through telepathy, and soon afterwards, Aurors and Unspeakables invisibly joined him.
In an old ritual, Pettigrew revived Tom Riddle using his hand as flesh of the servant freely given, Mr. Potter's blood as blood of the enemy forcibly taken as well as the bones of Riddle's muggle father. Once Riddle had a human form again, he summoned his Death Eaters, right before Connie Potter, wife of Harry Potter and soon-to-be fifth-year at Hogwarts, cast an Unspeakable spell at him that made his inner organs freeze, causing his instant death.
Another member of the Unspeakables' team cast a stunning spell at the whole group of Death Eaters at once, so that the Aurors were able to take each of them into custody. They are now in ministry holding cells awaiting their trials, which the head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, Amelia Bones, promised to hold within two weeks from now.
Alastor Moody, who was kept prisoner in his own suitcase, has been found and is recovering nicely from his ordeal.
Congratulations, Mrs. Potter, to your victory, and thank you for ridding us all from evil, preventing the so-called Dark Lord from pulling us into a second war. The magical world owes you.'

HP

Needless to say that Connie finished the end of fourth-year exams as best of the year. Only in Charms, Hermione managed to beat her by one point. When Minerva suggested to have the girl sorted before the end of the school year, stating that she might then be chosen for a prefect position, Connie happily agreed, and right before the leaving feast, the Sorting Hat sorted her into Ravenclaw – much to Professor Flitwick's apparent delight.

HP

During the Wizengamot meeting in July, Unspeakable Paws instigated a vote of no confidence against Minister Fudge, which passed with a majority of ninety percent. As the date for the election of a new minister, the members decided on August 30.

Amelia Bones, who was still head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement became the interim minister for the six weeks and organised the election of the new minister.

It was on Harry's birthday, when the extended family was gathered at the Lestranges like every Sunday, that Amelia informed them who had applied for the position.

"We only have two candidates. Albus Dumbledore and Dolores Umbridge."

Sirius rose from his chair. "Please excuse me for a moment. I'll go to the ministry and check her desk. Perhaps, I can find anything that we can hold before her to prevent her from accepting any further position at the ministry."

So far, the woman had been Minister Fudge's undersecretary; however, all members of the family who had ever attended a meeting of the Wizengamot hated her with a passion.

'I wonder what Sirius is up to,' Harry thought to his wife, who returned a grim nod.

'Everything will be fine to do to that bitch,' Connie replied. She had never forgotten what the bitch had once told her, when the Wizengamot had discussed Tom Riddle's diary that Malfoy had given to her.

However, when Sirius returned, he seemed strangely contented, but did not reveal anything. He only promised to give the bitch a one-way ticket to Azkaban right after the election. "We still need her for the election to have more than just one candidate."

HP

As everyone had expected, Albus Dumbledore was elected as the new Minister of Magic.

When he made himself comfortable in his new office, his first action was to place Fawkes' perch next to his desk.

"This is where we're going to work from now," he told his familiar.

#I just hope the treats will be as good as they were at Hogwarts.#

"They will be, considering that Twinkle is still our house-elf," Albus reassured the phoenix, pleasantly. "Thank Merlin, Sirius found enough evidence against Dolores Umbridge to have an instant trial for her and send her to Azkaban. I wouldn't have wanted to work together with the bitch."

HP

For the new school year, Salazar as the new headmaster hired Cedric Diggory as the new Defence professor, changing the name of the class from Defence Against the Dark Arts to just Defence. He even transferred the classroom as well as the professor's office to a different location, considering that no one could be certain that the curse on the Defence Against the Dark Arts position was broken by Voldemort's death.

At the same time, he installed Latin as elective subject from fourth year onwards and hired Regina for the position.

To Connie's immense excitement, she became the Ravenclaw prefect together with Mandy, while Harry and Daphne were the fifth-year prefects for Slytherin. When Hermione seemed disappointed, Harry pointed out that she and Draco were the Quidditch captains and that the professors would not allow them to hold two positions at the same time.

"Ah, that's true." Hermione nodded, seemingly consoled. "I love being the captain, although Ravenclaw doesn't stand a chance, as long as you're on the Slytherin team as well."

"Sorry, Mione," Harry quipped. "Just watch the younger students practise and hope that you'll find good players."

From that time onwards, Hermione gave much attention to the younger students and had training sessions with promising flyers; however, she could not prevent Slytherin from winning the Quidditch cup every single year until their graduation.

HP

During their seventh year, Harry and Connie were made head boy and head girl, and they both thoroughly enjoyed helping younger students in all possible matters.

A few months before they had to take their NEWTs, Salazar called them into the headmaster's office.

"As you know, I am working with the Unspeakables, just like yourselves."

Harry and Connie nodded.

"This is, however, difficult, in combination with the headmaster's position, which is indeed a full-time job. Would the two of you perhaps be willing to share the position as headmaster and headmistress? I will, of course, still support the two of you and share the position of the deputy with Minerva."

Harry and Connie exchanged a look. "I am sorry, sir," Harry was the first to reply. "From the time I finish Hogwarts, I am supposed to take over as Head Unspeakable, because Croaker intends to retire. I believe that the position is a full-time job as well, and I have already promised Severus to assist him with the brewing of potions to make up for the fact that he's going to have to teach the three lower classes by himself again."

"What if you shared both positions, the one of the headmaster of Hogwarts and the one as Head Unspeakable?"

"Connie, what do you think?"

"I'd like that, but we'd have to ask Croaker. You have been his apprentice for years now. I've only been a witch for two and a half years now."

"Salazar, please give us a week to consider the matter and discuss it with Croaker."

"Of course. Thank you very much for even considering it. If you release me from the headmaster's position, I'll be willing to support Severus by taking back the head of house position and even assist with the brewing of potions for the hospital wing."

'Then, everyone would be happy. That sounds good,' Harry thought and agreed with Connie to pop to the Unspeakables' office right after dinner.

HP

Croaker looked at them in obvious amusement, when Harry presented Salazar's idea.

"You are very welcome to share the position, considering that Connie has been a member of the Unspeakables for many years as well. However, Harry, please be careful to not overexert yourself with too many positions. You're still playing on the Irish national team, aren't you?"

"Yes, but I'm only attending practice once a month and otherwise only have to play in the occasional match." He let out a deep sigh. "I'm glad I have the position. Otherwise, I'd miss playing Quidditch too much."

Croaker nodded in understanding. "Well, in that case, I wish to see both of you together from the first day of your holidays onwards every morning at eight o'clock for private training with me. In the afternoons, you're free to acquaint yourself with your new positions at Hogwarts. Do you agree?"

"Yes sir." The response was simultaneous, causing Croaker to grin.

"From the first of August onwards, you will be Head Unspeakables Paws and Turtle, so that you'll have a month to get used to it, before you'll have to be more involved with Hogwarts. From September onwards, I recommend that you take turns, at least during the day." He held up a hand to prevent Connie from interrupting him, before he added, "I know that there will be meetings, which you'll have to attend together, here as well as at Hogwarts, but I believe that the two of you will manage both positions together. If not, you can always separate the positions making Connie the sole headmistress and Harry the sole Head Unspeakable. You are fully free to decide how you share the positions. I know that you're going to do a good job in either case."

"Well, I can always time slide if necessary." Harry smirked, resolving to use the summer to teach Connie how to become an Animagus, so that he could take her with him more easily.

HP

Their seventh year passed uneventfully, and by the end of it, Slytherin won the Quidditch cup for the sixth time in a row, while Ravenclaw won the house cup the third time in succession. Ever since certain girls had graduated and Connie had entered Ravenclaw, the ravens were able to beat the others in terms of house points.

When Neville remained at Hogwarts as Professor Sprout's apprentice and Hermione as the professor for Muggle Studies and together with Regina shared the new position as professors for Muggle Research, Harry and Connie were happy that they were able to remain at Hogwarts as headmaster and headmistress. Draco Malfoy was going to join the Aurors together with Ronald Weasley.

HP

On August 1, Harry and Connie officially became the Head Unspeakables. Croaker summoned all Unspeakables to Devil's large training room, where he introduced Paws and Turtle as his successors from that very day onwards.

"Many of you already know Paws and Turtle, considering that they've been studying and working with us ever since the age of five. Please show them the same curtesy you've always shown me in all these years."

Huge applause greeted the new Heads, who were standing next to Croaker with Lucy perched on their feet.

"Thank you all for the kind welcome." As usual, Connie was the first to speak. "However, today, we are not supposed to be the centre of attention, but Croaker." She clapped her hands twice, and a large table popped up in the centre of the room loaded with all kinds of delicacies as well as a smaller table loaded with presents of various sizes wrapped in colourful paper. Several house-elves walked around the room handing everyone a small glass with what Harry knew to be elven wine.

When everyone had received a glass, he raised his glass. "On Croaker."

"On Croaker," everyone echoed, before they sipped some wine letting the party begin.

HP

When the party ended, it was already late in the afternoon.

"Harry," Connie spoke up, when they retreated into their office, which Croaker had completely cleaned out and even enlarged to fit a second desk and even more shelves, "should we go and introduce ourselves to the Minister of Magic?"

Harry inwardly groaned, however, could not help admitting that she was right. 'If Amelia didn't belong to our family and knew about us anyway, we'd also have to go and introduce us to her and the Aurors,' he thought.

They quickly took Lucy to team room 13, knowing that she felt comfortable enough with their former team members to remain there for a moment.

"We'll be back shortly. We'll just go to see the Minister of Magic for a moment to introduce ourselves."

Lucy let out a small growl, apparently not happy to be left behind.

'Perhaps, we should have rather taken her to Archie and allow her to play with Marlin,' Harry considered, when they walked through the ministry, which was almost deserted at this time of the day. "The next time, we'll leave her with Archie and Marlin," he whispered to his wife.

"Yes, that might be better." Connie smiled, pleasant as ever, when she greeted Percy Weasley, the undersecretary. "Hello Mr. Weasley, we'd like to introduce ourselves to the minister as the new Head Unspeakables."

Percy nodded, surprising them, when he said, "I am sure that he will be pleased that you came to introduce yourselves. May I ask for your names?"

"Unspeakables Paws and Turtle," Harry replied in a firm voice.

A moment later, they knocked at the minister's door.

HP

"Enter," Dumbledore called out quickly.

"Good afternoon, Minister Dumbledore."

"Good afternoon, Unspeakables…?" He cast them a questioning look.

"We just wished to introduce us as the new Head Unspeakables Paws and Turtle."

"Paws and Turtle." Dumbledore seemed pensive for a moment, before he asked, "What happened to Croaker?"

"He retired as of today…"

"… to spend some time with his grandchildren and enjoy life…"

"… although, he will still work together with the Unspeakables."

Dumbledore nodded in apparent understanding, just when something scratched his door from outside. He crossed the room with a few fast steps that did not give out his age and opened the door, only to step back in obvious surprise, when a dog dashed into the room and began to nudge Harry and Connie and lick their hands.

"Didn't we tell you to wait in the Unspeakables' office?" Harry asked, slightly reproachful.

=Yes, but I wanted to be with you.=

Dumbledore stared at Lucy in apparent surprise, maybe even recognition. "Excuse me, Head Unspeakable Paws, is that Harry Potter's dog?"

"No sir, she is mine. I believe that they must be siblings though along with the dog of Unspeakable Archie."

"Head Unspeakable Paws and Turtle, do you not believe that it is time to tell me who you are?"

Harry shook his head. "No, Minister. Our identities will remain forever unspoken."
