We followed our Taicho to the training underground, we walked the corridor taking to stairs leading to the underground, then at the end of the stairs, we walked with him, we saw the first door about 1 minute later, and a walk later we saw the second with the number 2 on it.
We entered the terrain, my eyes widened, while my junior partner had his jaw dropped, it was a sigh honestly, i thing it is a good 150m² not only that, but the roof was huge, at least 10m between us and the ceiling.
We arrived at the center of the chamber, we saw Inu waiting for us with a rigid posture and hands behind his back.
I saw the 2 senior going beside Inu with the same position, so i followed him, as well the other junior, a moment later, Taicho looked up from his tablet, he said "This is training underground 2, you will be training here, testing jutsu here, sometimes even sleeping here, so later on the spar, if one of you got the Tier 1 or 2, then have the liberty to know the place," he looked at Inu and nodded, a moment later he appeared beside him, he then looked at my junior "you go first, give everything you have." he stepped aside with us.
The junior Neko got into position, albeit with shaky legs, then made the most basic Taijutsu style he can, and i pay my respect to him in that point, at least he is trying.
Neko attacked with an obvious left punch, low speed, seriously even a genin can do better, so Inu dodged to the left then to the right when he saw the second punch, he backed back a bit to dodge the kick, then he kicked Neko in his guts, making him fly 5 meter away, i guess he lost patience.
Neko, being thrown like that, groaned then stood up with a hand on his guts and shaky legs, two steps later he collapsed.
Taicho walked to him, crouched then checked his situation, he stood up and said "Did you have shinobi training before Neko?"
"No i didn't"
He was smacked hard in the head "You respond by yes Taicho or no Taicho, nothing else, understand?"
"Yes Taicho!"
He sighed "Anyway, i repeat, did you get any shinobi training?"
"No taicho!"
"Any medical problem that i need to be aware of?"
"No Taicho!"
"Having relatives as spy or a member of the family as spy?"
"Yes Taicho!"
"Good, take this," he gave a badge displaying a number 0 "you are Tier 0, prepare for a hell year, and go talk for the last time to your relatives, you are being held 6 months before seeing them for another time."
"Yes Taicho!" he shoot up then ran to the door.
He looked at me, inwardly i straightened my back and looked ahead, he said "You are next." he got next to the seniors, while me i walked in front of Inu with the basic Utsukame Taijutsu style.
I remarked that his head twitched to the taicho direction, but he didn't turn his head, i guess he was surprised by my stance.
Anyway, we faced each other like that for a moment, then the Taicho said "You can start."
Deciding to show off, i decided to go at him at full speed, with a flying kick to his head, and surprisingly enough he bent backward just in time for me to not hit him, then got to his left side.
he kicked me at my gut while in the air but i blocked it with my arms, i got sent flying, but i reception myself with my hands, then a backflip and got into my style.
He ran at me, and i saw his flying punch to my left side with his left hand, i blocked it with my right hand.
I sent a right punch to his head but he bend forward to dodge it, i send another one but this time he backed a bit making it inches before his noose.
He straightened himself then punched my left ribs, i sensed it hard, flinching, then another kick to the guts, but before doing so, i dodged it with flicking to the right side, then sent a kick with my left legs straight to his head, hitting it.
Inu backed a bit, stunned, but dodged the another kick from the same leg nonetheless, he was about to punch me straight in the head, but blocked it hard.
His hands was sent back a bit by the force, i took that opportunity to try to pin him down by grabbing his right hand then making him bent forward, but i got blocked then sent a double punch.
He backed for at least 2 meters, getting back to his stance, i did it as well.
Then looked at Taicho he said "Taicho, permission to use Kenjutsu."
Taicho looked at Inu a bit, before looked at me "Do you agree, Yurei?"
I nodded, then i saw him exchange a few words with the other Tier 2, Kuma if i remember correctly, then disappeared, 5 minutes later, he got back with two Tanto's.
Taicho took them, and tossed it to each one of us.
He said "Don't damage him to much Inu, you are specialized in Kenjutsu, while him is just trained in Kenjutsu, be carful with him."
2 Minutes later of staring conquest, he disappeared, well for an normal eye, yes, but with my trained eyes, i saw him perfectly.
He ran at me with his Tanto, i readied mine and blocked his first blow, he skid past me, i turned to him and saw him ready with a second blow that i blocked luckily, i backed a bit, then saw another blow coming straight at my head, i bent down, but saw a kick coming straight to my head, i crossed my arms and got myself fly with back flips before stabilizing my self.
We stared a bit, i decided to activate my Sharingan, because i saw him increasing his speed that sometimes my own body reacted to it with instinct only.
I surprised him a bit i guess, because i saw him lowering his hand a bit, before taking it back at position, i remarked that he activated his Sharingan as well.
And this time it was me who got with the Initiative, i lunched my self, feeling powerful with the clearness of my eyes, i made the first blow that he blocked, then the second he dodged, i dodged as well the upcoming kick, and blocked his tanto with mine.
We looked at each other for about 2 second, before separating and returning into combat, he rushed as well as me, he was about to kick but dodged then sent my tanto straight ahead to his torso, but this time he not only blocked it, but sent my Tanto else where.
My hand was shaking when i backed, it hurt as hell when you clash your stick with another with full strength, anyway, we eyed ourselves before hearing clapping.
It was Taicho, "Alright, alright, it was a good show, Inu go back in position," Inu disappeared to his respective place beside the seniors "Good job Yurei, but before i give you any rank, i need to ask you questions, first, did you have shinobi training?"
"Yes Taicho!"
"What kind of training."
"Kenjutsu, Shurikenjutsu, 1 C-rank Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Chakra control Taicho!."
He hummed a bit then said "Any medical problem that i need to be aware of ?"
"No Taicho!"
"Relatives as spy?"
"Yes Taicho!"
"Good, take that mask," when he said that, i got surprised reaction from the Tier 1 recruit and a snapping head from the two Tier 2, he continued "While i gave you the mask, you are Tier 1, and to get the Tier 2 you need to train your stealth more, and Shunshin No Jutsu, as well as a more in depth sign calling, anyway, you will be training 1 week or 2 depending by how you apprehend the ability and the lessons, any question?"
"No Taicho!" i took my blank mask, then i straightened my back, then i saw Taicho approaching me, he took a ribbon, a black one, and placed it to my left eye, i guess it was a scotch.
"Now welcome to Overwatch team 2, Inu, Kuma, please go show the basement to your new teammate."
"Yes Taich!" "Yes Taicho!"
