Footsteps echoed inside the church, the footsteps of a priest walking across the hall and into a passageway. He wanted to know more, more about this annoying feeling that suddenly overtook him.
He knew it all, about his existence being empty, his feelings being hollow, that he was a person who felt things differently.
The last thing he discovered about himself was that he could feel joy by inflicting sorrow on others. That was the essence of Kotomine Kirei, but... What was this disturbance he felt?
He felt... Called out? No, a more accurate way to put it would be to say that he felt as if someone knew everything about him, yet still condemned him for what he did and does.
Kirei reached his destination, a dungeon-like cellar under the church. The place calmed him down, although for any other person, just standing in a place like this would drive them insane.
The smell was that of rotting corpses, and on the walls were small tombs connected by tubes and filled with what can only be described as living corpses; Overgrown and overworked humanoid bodies, breathing faintly. Connected to their mouths was a series of tubes, that would allow them a droplet of water every now and then, just enough to keep them alive, but not enough to quench their thirst.
Kirei looked at the scenery and felt the bliss he longed for... But it... Was not enough?! He frowned, how can something this... sorrowful... Not make him reach ecstasy?!
[It was him, he knew it, the boy, him, hψ ȋ̶͚̿̇̓m̸̳͈͈̪͑͜,̷̥̩͌͒͌̇̚ ̸̣̖̼͍̟͗h̷̲̝̥̔͂͜ǐ̸̼̳̒m̸̺̻̻͎̐́̒ͅ!̵̮͈̓̑̔̿ ̸̲̩̗̎̉̀̚h̷͈̱͗̅̃é̵̢̡͈͈ ̶̡̙̱̦̝̄̔̎̂ķ̴̭͚̈́̓̌͑͝ṇ̸͎̈̐̕͝ẽ̵̻̄̀͠w̶̠͌͑!̸̦̺̰͔͑ ̴̱͈̝̊̈́̈̈́T̵̯͋̈́͝͝h̷͚̋͑è̷̛̻̟̼̳͓̀͐ ̷̯͇̝̙̓̓̄͘͝b̴̥̙̍̂͠͝o̵̬̓y̶̙̺̥̦͆̾̏ ̶̮̼̙̼̺̀̈w̸̦͕͊̌͠͠ã̴͚̀̓̕s̸͎̲̞̅͜ͅ ̵̗̙͇̃ȇ̴̖͌̄m̴̛̟͉̾̾͐̓p̴̱̩̪̈́́̆t̸͔̎̌̈́̃i̵̤̹̦̜̿̈͜͠e̵̞͔̙̍r̵̟̣̰̥͈̉̆͠ ̵̤̾t̷̡̧͈̖͈̉͌͆̕h̸̯͔̅͆̑̅͝a̸̛̾̈́͛̃ͅn̶͉̆̍͆͠͝ ̷̫͍̰̞͈̄̂̊́h̵̤̱̘̓͜͠i̵͍̠̚m̷̢͍̤͇̓ ̴̡̟̬̩̘͗͑͌̇̅a̴̜̞͌̑̓ͅn̷͈̗͆͂͝d̷̙̾ ̸͉̍̂̽ỷ̷̤̩̏͘̕e̶͓̣͉̮͒̊̐̈́͘t̷̞̤̾͗͠ ̶̖͗͒́l̵̨͈̝̋̌i̷̘̽ṽ̸͕̓e̷̥̘̤͈̱͊̀d̵̼̜̔̀̒̈ ̵̢̨̛̹̯͆̒͑̎ͅa̸̧͔̺̒͐ ̸̲͖͌h̶̼̰̻̆̅͛͠a̸͕̝͓̟͐̿̕ͅp̶̨͍̃̓̑̉ṗ̶̭̹̩̫͊ÿ̷̭̦̽͠͝ ̶̘͚͉̏͂͊̄͝ļ̵͎̈́͋̐̈́í̵̧̝͍̰͓̿͝f̶̖̤̥͍̽͒͒̕e̵̝̅!̶̯̙̟̀ ̷͚͉̠̣̇̋͗

Kirei, in a fit of rage, drove his fist through a body of those that were laying in the tombs... The thing let out a cry that could only be heard by someone who listened.
Moments after that a shadow came to existence from behind Kirei.
"Just what do you think you are doing Kirei!?" An angry voice came from behind him, as a blond man appeared from nothingness.
"Ah, King Gilgamesh. He was dying anyways so I just put him out of his misery." He said, cleaning his hand with a handkerchief he had in his pocket.
The man looked at him and noticed how beads of sweat were forming on his forehead. He turned around. "Hah! How very kind of you."
"But of course, he outlived his purpose and now he can rest in peace." Kirei said, hoping he had not invoked the King's wrath.
"You changed Kirei, you're starting to bore me. This is the last warning to you." Gilgamesh said before fading back to nothingness, leaving Kirei alone.

On another side...
"Lord Jubstacheit... All preparations are finished, we can commence the summoning whenever you like." A homunculus was standing in a huge hall inside a Victorian style castle that was on the outskirts of Fuyuki. She spoke to a hologram of an old man, sitting on a throne like chair.
"Humph, commence now, make sure the servant is restrained by the combat models upon being summoned." The old man's voice echoed in the room.
The homunculus bowed and confirmed with a simple "Understood."
"Commencing summoning... Activation of magic circuits... Chanting, One, Two, Three: Silver and iron to the origin. Gem and the archduke of contracts to the cornerstone.
The ancestor is my great master Jubstacheit.
The alighted wind becomes a wall. The gates in the four directions close, coming from the crown, the three-forked road that leads to the kingdom circulate.
Shut.
Shut.
Shut.
Shut.
Shut.
Simply, shatter once filled.
I announce.
Your self is under me, my fate(doom) is in your sword.
In accordance with the approach of the Holy Grail, if you abide by this feeling, this reason, then answer.
Here is my oath. I am the one who becomes all the good of the world of the dead, I am the one who lays out all the evil of the world of the dead.
Yet, you serve with your eyes clouded in chaos
You, bound in the cage of madness. I am he who commands those chains!
Chanting complete. Summoning succes― "
The homunculus's head rolled on the ground before it could finish its sentence. Its entire body got mangled in a single instance, absorbed into a black hunk of mud which appeared from the summoning circle.
The gates around the hall opened one by one, allowing the army of homunculi to swarm the servant and force them to obey, only to start melting upon setting foot in the mud.
The army of homuncli, having only been programed to fight a humanoid, had no chance, and they all met their end.
The squirming pile of chaos then started solidifying in a shape more understandable.
A gray man in a blue coat, although calling him a man is stretching it. Only his head seemed human, the rest of his body was pitch black abyss.
"I. AM .BACK! PRINCESS!I AM BACK! HUMANS! NERO CHAOS SHALL BE YOUR UNDOING! AN OATH I SHALL FULLFIL! NO MATTER WHAT!" It screamed in a distorted voice, before breaking into an uncontrollable laughter.

"So this is Fuyuki! it's HUGE! Misaki cannot be compared to this!" Shiki said, stepping out of the sports car with his teacher.
"Isn't that right!? And look here, this entire place is only Shinto, over half of the city is still beyond the river!" Aoko pointed towards the other side of the river.
Shiki observed the tall buildings in Shinto, it was still not daytime but... as he looked at the Skyscrapers... He stared blankly for a while, blinking multiple times, but that only confirmed what he saw; A girl in red was staring down at them.
"Shiki! This way!" Aoko waved to him while walking quickly towards a nearby hotel.
"S-Sensei! Wait! Don't go that fast―" Another girl passed by him, a girl with purple hair, a girl that reeked of... Death.
His hand automatically started rising towards his glasses. "What the hell am I doing?!" He stopped, turned around, and registered her face in his memory before quickly turning away and running after his teacher.
Inside the Hotel room...
"S-Sensei, what are you doing?" He asked, staring at Aoko placing down some weird glowing light orbs around the room.
"What? These sigils? They are necessary to conduct the spell I'm going to cast." She answered quickly, knowing full well he had no clue about what she just said.
"Casting a spell? What are you a magician?" He said, clearly joking.
"Exactly! You're clever Shiki!" Aoko smiled.
She stood in the middle of the room, her red hair flashed and her eyes glowed. "Time. Slow." She muttered. Then all of a sudden, a book fell from a nearby bookshelf. But it never touched the ground.
[It's suspended in the air?] Shiki thought.
*Bonk* The sound of something impacting flesh.
"Ouch!" Shiki staggered, feeling a little pain as he turned around to see Aozaki Aoko carrying a baseball bat.
"You're so naïve Shiki, of course I'm a sorceress, didn't you figure that out before?" She said, smiling as if it was completely normal for her to attack a teenager with a baseball bat. Granted, she did not really hit him that hard but still...
"Ahaha..." Shiki laughed faintly, expecting it to be some sort of joke. But when he realized it wasn't... He stood up and placed a hand on his forehead. "no, I didn't think about that all that much."
*Bonk* Another strike served to fully awaken him to start his training.
"It hurts! Stop it please!" Shiki demanded, this time he slightly dodged, but the the hit still connected.
Aoko placed the bat on her shoulder, as if it was some sort of Greatsword. "Well, do you see that book?" She pointed at the floating book.
"Huh?" Shiki looked away for a second. "Yeah, it's floating." He commented.
*BONK* He fully expected this one, blocking it with his arms.
"Ouch! Cut it out already!" Shiki demanded again.
Aoko continued pressuring as he struggled to block. "It's not floating! Its time is slowed!" She then released him, returning the bat to its original position on her shoulder. "Look outside of that window!" She said, pointing at the window.
Shiki walked to said window, and was immediately stunned at what he saw. Birds were suspended in the air and people were standing in place, everything was motionless, stuck in place.
He quickly recovered from his shock, dodging away at the last second as another attack that was aimed at his head missed, but just as he thought he was safe, the bat changed directions and made contact with his arm which rose automatically to defend against the strike.
*Bonk*
"Sensei!" Shiki let out a pained, but muffled scream.
"Okay. Now pay attention, you're going to learn Magecraft today... Oh I am going to enjoy this!" Aoko said, dropping the bat on the ground.

The bell rang. Homeroom started, Shirou was sitting next to a window at the corner of the classroom when the teacher came in, a man in a green suit and glasses, his face was always too serious that the funniest of jokes wouldn't make you laugh in his presence.
[That is Kuzuki Souichirou, Shirou thought, he surely is up to something, a man cannot possibly breath that perfectly. No wasted movement, nothing, just pure attitude.]
One word came to Shirou's mind: MACHINE.
Shirou ignored the rambling of the classroom and stared out of the window when he noticed a crow on a nearby ledge, with bloodshot eyes staring into a classroom nearby.
But of course, Tohsaka Rin's classroom.
[The holy grail hasn't even started yet and familiars are already being sent out...] Shirou thought.
And then he had an idea.
"Trace On." He muttered under his breath, making sure no one heard him. "Trigger Off."
And with a terrible scream, the bird fell to the ground after being stabbed with a kitchen knife.
Perfection, that should alert the other mages in the school that there was someone else here, but without revealing his identity, there are literally thirty people in this room, there was no way they could pinpoint who did it.
[For all they know, it must have been Shinji.]
[Still, Rin Tohsaka huh... Any half-assed mage would feel her amazing aura as a mage.]
True, she had high quality circuits that cannot possibly be compared to his puny ones, and she probably inherited that thing Illya told him about... The Magic Crest.
Not only that, but she was guaranteed a seat in the Holy grail war due to her bloodline... being of the founding families and all.
Well, he decided that he will summon his servant that night, and let what happened happen.
.
.
[Fuyuki huh, well it's not half bad...] Thought a woman with short pink hair and a mole near her mouth. Her name was Bazett Fraga McRemitz, and she came here with only one objective, retrieve the Holy Grail. And for that she brought the perfect catalyst.
A fragment from her homeland. A part of the weapon of the greatest hero (Well, at least she thought so).
[I will summon my servant tonight, and with his help, we will dominate this holy grail war.]
.
.
A blond man with long hair sat on a very expansive looking chair atop a skyscraper in the middle of the city, surrounded with women. In front of him was a red magic circle,
"Ah well, let us give it a shot this evening! After all, I am the best mage in this city, my servant would be someone worthy of serving me."
That's right, he would come out of this war victorious, because he got the wealth needed. To him, money meant everything.
"Isn't that right ladies!?"

Chapter two finished! Thank you guys for the honest reviews! They mean a lot to me... Sayonara for now!
Edit; this chapter was modified and fleshed out and I feel like it's a lot better now.
