"Master, this is unneeded, my caster class dedicated skills allows me to create far better quality gems than those. It's a waste to-"

Anastasia found herself on the ground. Her cheek hurt. Did her Master just…

"Shut up! You mistake of an existence! You have no idea how much these homunculi cost me to create! And now you're telling me that it's a waste?! Don't screw with me!"

"But Master-!"

Anastasia found herself on the ground again, this time it was her back that hurt, she was kicked by her…

"Master, if you don't reconsider. I can already say that our relationship will not be to your liking."

"What was that? Did you just threaten me? A MERE SERVANT DARES TO THREATEN HIS MASTER?!"

"Yes, in fact, I can kill you right here right now. And you cannot prevent that except with the use of a command seal."

"You bitch…!"

The tanned man with long blond hair's sentence was interrupted by a frosty breath. His legs were already in ice when he tried to scream a command.

"By my command spell I order you…!"

The next thing he saw was a black existence in front of him, a being that he could not hope comprehend.

"Show him your true face... Viy!"

The next day...

"My head hurts!" was the first thing he thought when he woke up. That was a routine for him, waking up and wearing those glasses as fast as possible to escape the terrible sight that could be displayed to him.

Shiki looked around the room he spent the night in.

Oh right... The Tohsaka mansion.

Shiki stood up and wore his clothes.

Remembering yesterday's events made him feel insecure of Tohsaka's condition.

Moment later he was descending to the first floor to see a very interesting sight.

Tohsaka Rin is alright, not only that but she's arguing with Archer.

"I told you! Emiya Shirou will have to be stopped. He will not leave us alone after yesterday." Tohsaka explained to Archer.

"Yes I know he needs to be stopped but there is a more pressing matter at hand. Yesterday when your condition worsened, we were attacked by a horde of strange familiars. My scouting revealed that there were more of them than those we destroyed yesterday but we couldn't do anything against them due to your condition."

Archer proclaimed. Those familiars from yesterday gave me the shivers…

"Good morning, Tohsaka-san. You seem to be doing alright today."

Shiki greeted Rin with a smile.

"Good morning, yes I am feeling a lot better today. Thank you and I'm sorry I couldn't be of help yesterday, you were forced to fight Shirou alone."

Tohsaka said.

"Don't mention it, you should thank your servant for giving me a knife without history, if I used my knife I would have been figured out almost immediately."

Shiki sat on the opposite couch while speaking.

"So, Tohsaka, about what you were just talking about… The familiars are really strange, too strange that they only resemble the ability of someone I know."

Shiki went dead serious. He was about to explain one of the most important subjects in his life.

"Nrvqsr Chaos, one of the twenty-seven Dead Apostle Ancestors."

Rin frowned almost immediately when she heard that name.

"How are you so sure?"

Shiki leaned on the table, crossing his hands over his mouth and started speaking.

"Last time I told you that me and Arcueid went to a hotel for her to rest and regain her strength. The day passed and later that night the hotel was attacked by a horde of hungry animals. That was Chaos. We briefly fought in that hotel and I almost lost half my body before Arcueid saved me. He then left us temporarily when he saw that the site of battle wasn't really in his favor.

Some days passed, me and Arcueid had a plan, she would be used as bait when I kill him from behind when he's not paying attention, of course the plan didn't go as smoothly but because of him underestimating me, I managed to kill him."

Rin's eyes widened throughout Shiki's explanation. She was clearly shocked.

"So you're telling me that you, with the help of a True ancestor, managed to kill Chaos? That's absurd!"

Shiki scratched his cheek and smiled sheepishly, she still didn't know about Roa…

"Well if you don't believe me, you can ask Archer. He can see stuff like this stuff with his… Magecraft? I don't really know how he does it but he does."

Rin turned towards Archer who nodded.

"You're insane Shiki, and now you're here looking for a way to find this Arcueid?"

"U-huh…"

"Wow, I'm honestly impressed. You would go that far to find someone dear to you? That's amazing."

Tohsaka's compliment made him feel weird, he knew she wasn't someone easily impressed.

"But if you killed Chaos with your eyes, shouldn't he be unable to resurrect?"

Tohsaka added.

"I have an idea about how that happened."

Archer intervened, even Shiki didn't know what he was thinking.

"The holy grail, Chaos as an existence, was really famous among magi and executors alike. If no name like me can ascend the throne, then Chaos will probably be able to do so as well."

Archer explained while a horrified expression made its way towards Tohsaka's face.

"So you're telling me he's…"

"A servant, yes. Most likely berserker due to his reckless actions."

Archer proclaimed.

"Saber, are you satisfied with the food?"

Asked a Shirou who was washing the dishes in the kitchen.

"It's not bad. But the quantity is low for my liking."

Answered saber, who is no longer in her dark armor, but in a majestic black dress that revealed the top of her chest area.

On the other side of the table sat a pouting Illya.

"You get hungry even though you're a servant, saber?"

Asked Illya.

"No, but a king has desires. Although you supply mana, eating food made by Shirou serves as a source of entertainment to me."

Answered Saber, who is seemingly delighted by teasing Illya.

Saber was sort of enjoying her stay at the Emiya household, her Master was worthy of fighting alongside her, the kid who lived with them made for a perfect mana source so she could fight at full power. And the enemies were not half bad.

Yet, something was nagging at her, she couldn't sleep without having dreams of her… other self… How she finally, after so many struggles, managed to reach the Holy Grail, only to be betrayed by her Master.

She, being cursed by the grail itself, broke her contract with the world, and moved on. Perhaps she ascended the throne, perhaps she reached Avalon. Or maybe she's still under that tree, waiting for her loyal knight to return the holy sword back to the lady of the lake.

Suddenly the phone rang. Shirou left all of what he had in hand and went to answer the call.

"Hello, this is the Emiya household."

"You are talking to Kotomine Kirei, overseer of the Holy Grail War."

"Ah yes, the heartless priest. What is it?"

"..."

"Hello?"

"Emiya Shirou, as the master of Saber, you are hereby summoned to Kotomine Church. A meeting between all masters is required due to an… Emergency. There is going to be a reward so you should come."

"Okay then, and priest, have mercy on them orphans."

"Kirei! By what face do you call me?"

A very angry Bazett answered the phone.

"Calm down Bazett, today I call you as an overseer of the war. Not as Kotomine Kirei.

As Master of Lancer, you are hereby summoned to Kotomine Church. A meeting between Masters is required due to an unexpected… Occurrence. A reward will be issued so by all means, come."

"You expect me to believe- **beep**... "

Bazett put the phone away with a frown on her face.

"Master, we should attend this meeting, it is the prefect apportunity to learn more about the other Masters. Although it could be a trap but the rewards are too good to pass."

Scathach said upon materializing near Bazett.

"Yeah, I know."

"Well then, I'll be on my way to Kotomine Church, Shiki take care of the mansion and do not wander too far."

Tohsaka Rin talked, addressing Shiki.

"Yeah… I won't leave the residential district. Don't worry, just… Take care of yourself."

Shiki answered.

Tohsaka Rin gave him a smile and left. Now, it's up to him to do whatever needs to be done.

A few hours later he was down strolling in the residential district before he saw a very alarming sight.

In an alleyway was a woman surrounded by three men, she clearly was not from these parts because of her snow white skin, long pale hair and expensive looking dress, moreover she was acting strangely.

She seemed to try to escape but her body was failing her, like she was drugged or something.

The men approached her and began to touch her, it was at that moment, Shiki made his presence known.

"Who are you?!"

One of the harassers shouted at him.

"Just a passing hero of justice… Just kidding, you'd better start running though because I'm not letting you off the hook easily."

Shiki removed his glasses and took out his knife.

"Tch, fucking kid."

All of the harassers suddenly armed themselves with weapons, one of them even had a handgun.

The first one came at him with a machete in hand.

Well, it used to be a machete until it was just a bunch of useless iron scraps.

The man was surprised but didn't stop, he tried punching Shiki. The result was him losing an arm, cut so cleanly that blood did not flow out.

The man screamed in pain before he collapsed to the ground.

The one wielding a gun aimed at Shiki.

Several gunshots were heard impacting metal, but not one of them made contact with Shiki, he sliced them all into shreds.

The man with the gun panicked and attempted to escape but was caught and punched by a hand strengthened Shiki.

The last one kept shaking until he dropped to the ground upon Shiki approaching him.

"Forgive me! I'll never do something bad again! Please let me go!"

Pleaded the man.

"What if I say… No?"

Was Shiki's response, before he picked up the man and sliced him across the face. The man screamed in pain but his face was perfectly fine.

"I cut off the nerves connecting to your arms. You will never be able to use them again."

Then he punched him in the face and dropped him.

Shiki put his glasses back on and went to check on the woman.

"Hey! You okay? Hey!"

Shiki earned a cold stare before she closed her eyes and completely went unconscious.

Shiki hurriedly leaned to check her, he took her hand to measure her heartbeat only to be surprised by how cold she was.

Looking at her other hand he gasped after he noticed that her hand was almost invisible, after further examination he also noticed a very strange doll…

Could she possibly be…

Anyways, Shiki decided to pick her up, surprised at how light she was, he broke into a dash back to the mansion.

Shiki opened the door and hurriedly entered towards the sitting room, Tohsaka was startled as Archer just warned her of the weak presence of a servant. Shiki entering with an unconscious woman in hands just confirmed her suspicions.

"Tohsaka, can you do something about her? I think she's a servant who's disappearing due to the lack of mana." Shiki spoke weirdly, as if he was actually worried about the woman he saved. Agh, who was he kidding? He was worried and excited, this maybe his ticket to Arcueid!

"And why exactly should I do that?"

Was Tohsaka's answer.

Shiki shivered at that, but of course! Having a servant would make him an enemy to Rin, after all, only one person could have the grail.

"Tohsaka…"

"What? You thought I'm serious? Of course I'm going to help you. But only if you promise not to attack me as soon as you get your servant up and running."

Tohsaka chuckled for a bit.

"Oh shoot, you really love teasing people! I would never attack someone who took me in their house! I'll even be your ally until the end!" Shiki quickly spoke. "Just do something about her, I feel like she'll disappear at any moment."

"Bring her over here, place her on the couch and place your right hand on her hands."

Shiki did just that.

"Repeat after me: Heed my words and obey…

My will creates your body and your sword will change my destiny. Let it be known, you shall be my servant and I will be your Master and thus our bond shall be forged!"

Tohsaka said with Shiki repeating after her. Once the chant was over, a red glow paired with the unbearable pain of hot iron touching your hand, was upon Shiki, he almost screamed.

It lasted for a couple of moments before it revealed three strips of red tattoos, each one overlapping the other in the shape of a black hole.

The unconscious Servant woke up shortly after.

Staring at the weird situation she found herself in, she smiled softly and said:

"I see, it seems I have passed out due to a lack of mana… Let me introduce myself properly my new Master, Servant, Caster… Anastasia Romanov. Please take care of me."
