Goku tightened his obi, his training finally having come to an end. These months have been grueling, they pushed him to heights far beyond anything he thought was possible, all thanks to his new friends, Remiel and King Kai.
Without Remiel's knowledge of the future, he'd be far less prepared than he is now. His friend helped him in his techniques, offering ideas even Goku wouldn't have come up with. The two were confident that the Saiyans weren't gonna be much trouble.
King Kai was right; with Remiel's brains and Goku's brawn, they made a formidable duo, and today will be their test. The day of the Saiyans' arrival and Goku's revival.
If he was being honest, Goku felt a little excited. They had a plan in mind, and with his times Eight Kaioken, he's fairly certain that they'd win this. Excluding the fact that his friends are probably far more powerful than they were as well. They have the quantity and quality advantage as Remiel said.
However, he knew what his first course of action would be. The Saiyans might be two, murderous maniacs, but Remiel told him that Vegeta changed. He became Goku's greatest rival and one of the most powerful defenders of Earth.
If he could convince him to join forces against Freeza, then maybe he can change in this timeline too? They all share one common goal, and that is the tyrant's defeat. The prospect of two more Saiyans joining their cause was a good one for two different reasons.
Of course, Remiel knew about the true potential of the Saiyans and knew that he needed to preserve as many as he could. Vegeta is a key figure in history, and killing him may lead up to Earth being destroyed in the end.
True, he realized that his mere existence likely changed history regardless, and he could be paranoid with how he's thinking, but nobody can pass off the Prince's importance as nothing noteworthy as he becomes the driving factor behind Goku's motivation. Who knows, maybe Nappa will join them as well.
As for Goku, well he is a simple individual. The thought of training with another powerful Saiyan isn't something he can ignore. Just thinking about it excited him.
Goku turned around, giving King Kai a respectful bow. "Thank you for everything, sir. I wouldn't be where I am without you."
"Don't mention it," The blue-skinned god waved it off. "Just remember, if you want to take on Freeza, you must be very careful. He's not a galactic emperor for nothing."
"I will," He smiled confidently. "I have my friends with me, and with the extra training in the spaceship, I'll be strong enough to beat him."
"I'm sure your friend already warned you more than once, yet you still act like this," King Kai sighed in exasperation. "I suppose that's part of your charm, though."
"Heh, thanks."
Just then, the Halo hovering above Goku's head vanished, signaling that they wish to revive him has been made. Goku blinked, clenching his fists as he gave his teacher a nod. It's time, the Saiyans will be arriving soon.
"I'll be watching your battle," King Kai said. "Go now. Catch up with your friends and protect Earth together."
"Right on it!"
Goku turned to Snakeway, flaring his ki as his aura gained a crimson tint to it. The ground beneath him turned into a small crater as he shot forward, soaring through the skies of Otherworld far faster than the first time.
It didn't even take a second to pass the whole million kilometers, landing gently near the check-in station. He jogged over to King Yemma's desk, spotting Kami there smiling at him warmly. Goku smiled back and waved.
"Hey, Kami!" The Saiyan greeted.
"Goku," The Guardian of Earth nodded. "It's good to see you again. I see King Kai's training made you far more formidable."
"Yep, it was pretty tough, though," Goku replied. "I guess you're taking me back to Earth?"
Kami nodded again and glanced at King Yemma, who scoffed lightly at them. "He's alive now, so he's not supposed to be here. He's making my job easier by getting rid of those psychopaths anyway."
"I'll take that as a yes," Kami mumbled with a sigh, extending an arm towards Goku. "Take my hand."
Goku did as he was told before suddenly, he was back on the lookout. He blinked a few times, looking around to only see Mr. Popo there, happy to see him again. He expected the others to meet him here, but his Ki sense told him that all of them were at Capsule Corp.
"That's Piccolo?!" Goku's eyes widened. "He's almost as strong as I am!"
"Your idea of the gravity machine was far more effective than any of us anticipated," Mr. Popo explained.
"Though, I'm afraid it has its negatives as well," Kami frowned. "I feel nothing but concern and worry seeing my other half becoming this powerful."
"I won't let him do anything evil, Kami," Goku promised with a confident smirk. "Don't worry, I have my own tricks up my sleeves."
"That I'm sure," His old mentor smiled back.
With that exchange and promise, Goku focused on his senses once more. Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, Chiaotzu. All of their powers were incredible, far stronger than even Raditz was. He expected them to grow very powerful, but this far exceeded his expectations.
There was someone else, too. Ki that Goku almost couldn't recognize. It was lower than Piccolo, but a tiny bit stronger than the others. His heart swelled in pride when he sensed how powerful Gohan had become. He noticed his potential in the battle against Raditz, but this is astonishing.
"Amazing…" Goku muttered.
Admittedly, it worried him too. If his son was this powerful, then what happened to the deal? He never contacted the others after he spoke with Piccolo the last time as he was too busy with training. Did something happen?
"I can still sense all of your friends, Goku," Remiel added. "Them breaking out in a fight is unlikely. Even then, Piccolo wouldn't be able to defeat all of them at once."
"Yeah, I know, but still…"
"All you can do now is visit them," Remiel reminded him. "I'm sure Piccolo did not break his promise. Evil as he may be, he's still an honorable warrior."
"...You're right," Goku's gaze hardened a bit. "I'm sure there's a reason for this."
He turned around and gave his old teacher a nod of respect. "Thanks, Kami. I owe you one."
"You're welcome," Kami nodded in return. "Go now, your friends are waiting for you."
Goku smiled and waved before flying off the lookout, speeding towards their energy signatures to Capsule Corp. It didn't take him long to arrive, and as soon as he landed, all of them whipped their heads toward him.
They were in shock; Goku's power was through the roof, it froze everyone as they almost didn't recognize their friend at all. Even Piccolo had a surprised look on his face, seeing his arch-nemesis rivaling his own power. It was even slightly greater than his.
He scoffed, a tiny part of him regretting using his precious time to train the brat, but in the end, it wouldn't be fun to destroy Goku without a worthy battle. As much as he hated the Saiyan, he respected him a lot as a warrior.
As everyone finally processed seeing Goku in person again, they all rushed towards him, Chi-Chi and Gohan hugging him as the former cried tears of joy. Goku laughed, glad to see his wife and son again after many months.
He didn't even get a chance to say anything as Chi-Chi pressed her lips against his, cutting him off with a kiss. She broke it off as she tightened her embrace.
"I missed you," She whispered.
"I missed you too, Chi-Chi," He patted her head, smiling proudly at his son. "You too Gohan. You've grown a lot since then."
Gohan grinned, wiping the tears from his eyes as he saw his father again. It felt surreal; he knew the powers of the Dragon Balls already, but seeing Shenron for the first time left him frozen in awe.
Goku, now getting a better look at the others, smiled. "Man, you guys are way stronger than I remember. The Saiyans will be a piece of cake."
"You say that, but you're already far ahead of us," Tien said with mirth. "Always modest, Goku."
"Well, I kinda had a head start, so it's not really fair," He rubbed his neck. "I'm sure you'd have gotten as strong as me in my place."
"Take a compliment for once, man," Krillin said, patting his back. "You're a genius when it comes to fighting."
"Don't think we're not gonna catch up, though," Yamcha grinned with confidence. "Once we kick the Saiyans' butts, it's on."
"Heh, that's what I like to hear," The Saiyan grinned back as Chi-Chi pulled back. "Though, I'm curious."
Goku's gaze hardened as he stared at Piccolo, who leaned against the building. While they were close in power, Goku knew he had a severe advantage with the Kaioken. If a fight broke out between them, he knew he'd win.
"Piccolo," Goku called out. "You promised you'd leave Gohan out of this."
The Namekian merely smirked in response. "You don't give your brat enough credit. He shares your fighting spirit."
He blinked in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"He asked for training," Chiaotzu answered. "Piccolo never backed down on his promise, but Gohan himself came over here."
Goku stopped for a moment, looking at his son with a surprised look.
"What?" Remiel was even more confused. "But I thought…"
"What's wrong?"
"...It's nothing," His friend brushed it off as he collected his thoughts. "I suppose a boy that age would be eager to help, regardless of the dangers."
"I guess…"
"Is that true, Gohan?" Goku asked, kneeling down to his son's height.
"I-it is," Gohan fidgeted nervously. "Did I do bad?"
Goku paused and looked at his wife for a moment, who blinked. It took a moment, but she realized what this stare meant and blushed in embarrassment, clearing her throat as Bulma chuckled in amusement.
"I-I couldn't say no when he was serious about it," She said, crossing his arms before looking away. "But only this once. No more training after the Saiyans are gone, alright?"
Goku laughed at his wife's adorable antics, then flinched as he sensed two high powers approaching the planet. Everyone else did, their smiles replaced by nervous frowns. One of them wasn't that powerful, but the other…
"Holy shit…" Yamcha whispered in awe.
"That's Vegeta," Remiel said. "Be careful, Goku. I know how much stronger you are, but this is no excuse to be laid-back."
"I know," Goku's frown deepened.
The other one, who Remiel told him was Nappa, isn't that strong. Krillin or Tien could handle him, but Vegeta's power even surpassed his own. Not counting the Kaioken of course, but it's still very concerning.
"If we're done with this ridiculous show, then prepare yourselves!" Piccolo commanded. "They're here."
Chi-Chi looked a little worried, giving her husband a hug and whispering in his ears. "Please come back to me…"
"I promise I will," Goku whispered back. "Hide here with Bulma, okay?"
His wife nodded and let go of him, wincing as she saw the worry on her son's face.
Goku noticed it as well and felt hesitant. He really didn't want his son to be involved in this. He was still a child, and the Saiyan felt certain that they wouldn't need to involve him. If Goku wanted, then he could instantly blast them to bits on his own.
But Remiel told him enough to not do that. If those two really can change, then he must give them a chance.
"Alright, let's show who exactly these Saiyans are messing with!" Piccolo commanded with a deep voice before shooting towards the landing pods.
This ignited their fighting spirits and all of them flared their ki, following closely behind the Namekian. Goku looked at Gohan, who while nervous, had fire in his eyes. Goku immediately realized that he wouldn't be able to convince him to stay, and smiled confidently.
"Let's go, Gohan."
The father and son duo flexed their aura and flew high in the sky, arriving at the pod landing site in a few seconds. Goku grimaced deeply, anger flaring at the unnecessary destruction and death caused already.
The Saiyans left their pods, their scouters beeping as they looked up towards the fighters.
"Looks like we're expected," The shorter one said. "Good, we can be done with this circus already then."
"Heh, why not enjoy this a little more, though?" His companion responded. "We can take our time ripping them apart."
"Do as you please," Vegeta rolled his eyes before spotting the spiky-haired man in orange gi at the forefront of this band of fighters, looking at them seriously. "So that's Kakarot?"
"Guess so," Nappa crossed his arms. "Looks exactly like Bardock. I'd recognize that hair anywhere."
Vegeta heard of him before, one of the most powerful low-class warriors. Aside from Raditz who used to constantly praise his father for his dozens of successful missions, he vaguely recalls him being a candidate for the Royal Saiyan Squad, which was unheard of. A low-class Saiyan fighting alongside elites?
But here he was, stuck with a middle-class and a low-class who perished recently. Well, to be completely fair, Raditz the Weakling was fun to push around.
"Hey, you!" Goku called out. "Let's take this somewhere else. I don't want to drag innocent people into this."
Vegeta and Nappa glanced at each other before the former shrugged. Oh well, he'll play along, not like he cares. He's blowing up this dumb rock of a planet once he gets his immortality, so not like it's a big deal.
Might as well let him and his friends choose where their graves would be. He can at least do that for a Saiyan, even a low-class.
"Very well," Vegeta said, floating high alongside Nappa. "Lead the way."
Goku glared at them, but did just that, leading everyone to a wasteland in the middle of nowhere. They all landed softly, one side being Earth's defenders and the others being the Saiyan invaders. Goku led his group, Piccolo and Tien beside him as the smug smirks never left Vegeta and Nappa.
"Let's see... " Nappa tapped his scouter, calculating Tien's power level. "Three hundred? Hah! Come on, even a Saibaman would be enough to deal with the likes of you!"
Tien only smirked, which annoyed the Saiyan brute slightly. Unbeknownst to the invaders, all of them were hiding their powers, making the scouters practically useless. Tien wasn't even showing ten percent of his power right now.
Nappa glared, annoyed at the three-eyed one's smug look, but thought nothing of it. He took out a bottle, grinning as he spilled a few drops on the ground.
"Let's see what you weaklings can do." He said menacingly. "Don't disappoint, yeah?"
Suddenly, short green creatures rose from the ground. With sharp claws and pure red eyes, the monsters let out maniacal cackling and screeching, looking over at the fighters with bloodlust.
Gohan sensed their powers; they were utterly weak, but he couldn't help but feel a little unnerved. It wasn't everyday that he sees creatures like… whatever those things are. Though, the others didn't even flinch, which speaks volumes of their confidence and experience.
They were his father's old friends, of course they're gonna be brave.
"I'll deal with it." Yamcha stepped forward, brimming with confidence.
"You?" Nappa raised a brow, tapping on the scouter. "With a power level of two hundred? Heh, this is gonna be good."
However, Vegeta wasn't as oblivious as his companion. He narrowed his eyes slightly, what are those clowns up to? They're confident, too confident, and last he remembered, Kakarot was killed by the Namekian over there, so how's he back?
Did they use those mystical Dragon Balls to bring him back to life? Is such a thing even possible? What else did they wish for? Immortality? Power? Back then, even Raditz inflicted deep concern in Kakarot, supposedly the strongest one of them, yet against the Prince, who is leagues above that weakling, there was no hint of worry at all.
They're hiding something, but this is why they brought the Saibamen with them. To test what they can do.
"Gigigi~!" One of the Saibamen cackled madly, giving the former bandit a bloodthirsty grin.
"Come at me, you ugly son of a bitch." He grinned, gesturing for it to come forward.
It did just that; launching itself at the former bandit with a piercing screech, wildly throwing its arms around, only for the human fighter to land a brutal kick to its face, then quickly landing a flurry of blow that sent it flying back to its kin, dead.
"What the-!?" Nappa took a step backward.
"Nice job, Yamcha." Goku praised, prompting a thumbs up from his friend.
Vegeta's eyes narrowed further.
"Just now, his power level shot up to three thousand!" The Saiyan brute uttered. "But now it's back to two hundred. What the hell did he do?"
"...They can hide their power levels." Vegeta deduced, taking off his scouter and dropping it on the ground. "These things are useless against them. We're not dealing with average warriors here, Nappa."
"You got that right," Tien said. "We're a lot stronger than you think we are."
"Tsk, what a pain," Nappa growled in annoyance and did the same, glaring at Yamcha's cocky smirk. "Arrogant prick. Don't think you've won this. Get him!"
The five remaining Saibamen all charged at once, attacking Yamcha from all directions only for him to dodge and weave, parrying and counterattacking perfectly. In mere seconds, three of the Saibamen were down as the last two backed away in fear.
They were not intelligent creatures by any means, so they relied purely on instinct, and it's currently screaming at them to run away. They knew they could not defeat this one, not in a million years. He was out of their league.
When one tried to run away, it was instantly incinerated by a ki blast. Vegeta glared at the remains, his arm stretched forward with his palm opened. The final Saibaman flinched and shook in terror as the Prince's mere presence was enough to overwhelm it.
"What was that for?!" Nappa looked at the Prince in shock. "It was on our side!"
"It tried to escape." Vegeta countered with a blank look. "I will show no mercy to cowards."
Goku blinked, noticing the older Saiyan's odd compassion. He knew what they were before coming over to Earth due to Remiel telling him everything, but he didn't quite expect that from Nappa. Showing care, even if little, for his ally?
Nappa gritted his teeth but held his tongue. He knew arguing with the Prince would lead up to disastrous consequences. Unlike Vegeta, Nappa fought with many Saiyans on missions, he recognized camaraderie and teamwork.
It's something you develop after going on many life-or-death battles alongside allies. Hell, he even felt saddened by the fact that Raditz lost his life, but he knew showing even the slightest of weaknesses around Vegeta would be his own death sentence.
Vegeta never had to struggle, he never fought enemies that truly pushed him to the brink of death.
His view was… very black and white, sometimes.
The Saibaman looked between Yamcha and Vegeta, weighing its options with its tiny mind before shrieking. It rushed the human, who looked at it with a smirk. He expected an attack of some kind, but the little green monster hugged him instead.
Yamcha blinked in confusion, then his eyes widened as it started to glow. It convulsed and grew as its energy spiked, and before he could get it off, the Saibaman self-destructed. The explosion shook the ground, smoke blinding the watchers.
For a moment, the human fighters were worried. That was an especially powerful explosion for a creature that weak, but with their keen Ki sense, their worries washed away.
Vegeta smirked but said smirk quickly dropped as the smoke cleared. Yamcha was still standing, his gi ripped apart a little, but is relatively unharmed. His confident grin told the onlookers enough: This was nothing but a scratch.
Goku smiled, as did the others. They knew he could handle it, something like that will never keep him down.
"What the hell…" Nappa stepped back, a little shocked to see the human alive.
"Hmph, you're not half-bad," Vegeta praised. "For a human at least. Now's your turn, Nappa."
"Wha-..." Nappa quickly stopped himself from arguing, reluctantly complying with the Prince's demand. "Fine."
"So we're done with the appetizers?" Yamcha clenched his fists. "Because I'm dying for the main course."
"Heh, I'll say, I like your confidence," The Saiyan brute complimented with a smirk. "The past few planets barely had anyone worthy, and I love a good battle."
"Wait," Goku stopped them, garnering the attention of everyone in the battlefield. "There's something I want to say first."
Vegeta raised a brow when the Saiyan looked at him specifically. Will he ask for a fight? As far as he's concerned, Kakarot is the strongest one out of them all, and this human there that fought the Saibamen had the power level of three thousand at least.
This should be a relatively entertaining battle if it was the case. It's been a while since the Prince had to stretch his legs a bit.
Suddenly, Goku shot ki blasts towards the scouters laying on the ground, surprising the group and especially the two Saiyan Invaders. He then regarded Vegeta with a serious look.
"I can't afford him listening in on us." He said. "I hope you understand this."
Vegeta paused for a moment, eyes narrowing in thought. Him… Is Kakarot referring to Freeza? But how? None of them ever mentioned him. Raditz did, but he shouldn't have context for the Freeza Empire, right?
Is he missing something here? Where did Kakarot learn of Freeza, and what is he trying to do now?
"D-dad…?" Gohan muttered, looking at his father in worry.
"Go on," Vegeta said.
"We don't have to be enemies, Vegeta," Goku replied, shocking all of his friends. "I know what your goal is. You want to take on Freeza, don't you?"
"Oh, I see…"
"What the- Goku?!" Krillin looked at his best friend with wide eyes. "Are you listening to yourself?!"
"What's the meaning of this?" Tien glared. "What do you mean by that?"
"Goku, they plan on taking the Dragon Balls!" Chaiotzu reminded him. "We can't let them do that!"
All of his friends were outraged - even Gohan was admittedly shocked. What was his father doing? Does he have a plan? What does he mean? Who is Freeza?
Unlike the rest of them, Piccolo realized what Goku was doing. If what he said was no exaggeration and Freeza was that powerful, then they truly need all the allies they can get. This Nappa Saiyan might not be all that powerful, but Vegeta was even stronger than Goku. Their powers would be needed to take down the galactic tyrant.
"Guys, I know what I'm doing, trust me." He assured the group. "We don't have to fight if we don't need to, do we?"
Nappa's smirk dropped as he regarded the Saiyan seriously. "What's your plan here?"
"We share one enemy, and the enemy of my enemy is my friend," Goku explained. "Freeza is way beyond our league, but if we combine our powers together, then we can defeat him."
Vegeta chuckled arrogantly. "You low-class fool. You think a handful of warriors are enough to defeat him?"
"No, I know we can do it," Goku responded. "We just need to train a little more and make a good plan."
"You're an idiot, Kakarot," Nappa added. "If you really think that's enough, then you have no idea how powerful Lord Freeza is. No matter how long you train, it'll never be enough."
"That's quitter talk." Piccolo challenged with a glare, making the older Saiyan flinch. "Anything is possible if you try hard enough. Do you think I got to this point without training? That I was born with this power?"
Nappa couldn't argue, only glaring back.
"Well, this is good and all, but you know what's a better plan?" Vegeta quipped. "Immortality. A power far superior to any form of teamwork and training, and it's right there on this planet."
"We'll never let you take them," Krillin said. "People like you who kill countless innocent people for fun don't deserve it."
"I still don't understand what's going on or who this Freeza person is, but If you won't take Goku's offer, then we have no more words." Yamcha flexed his ki.
"You better prepare yourselves." Tien clenches his fists, looking at the older Saiyan with determination. "We'll show you how powerful Earth really is."
"It didn't work…" Goku thought.
"I thought as much," Remiel noted. "Vegeta is too stubborn to convince. I suppose we'll have to do it the hard way."
"You mean the fun way?"
"Those two are not mutually exclusive."
"I guess that's a no, then." Goku sighed. "Gohan, stay back. Only fight if you have to."
"But dad-"
"It's okay, son." He assured his boy. "The others will take care of it."
"...O-okay…" Gohan nodded obediently. He truly wanted to show his father the fruits of his training, but it didn't seem right to gang up on one guy, and Vegeta was far above him for him to help.
Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu took their stances as they glared at the older Saiyan. Nappa wasn't particularly confident here - if one guy had the power level of three thousand, then what about the others? He's not exactly in a good position to fight all of them at once.
Using his full power will give him an edge, but it'll deplete his stamina and energy quickly. It was his only choice, though. As he is right now, he's not gonna win.
"Heh, four on one, eh?" He smirked, nervous sweat trailing down his cheek. "And Vegeta's too busy to help…"
As for the Prince, he stared down the two most powerful of Earth's warriors. Goku and Piccolo stood side by side, glaring at the smirking Vegeta. With them together, they knew they could win this, and even if not, Goku still has his Kaioken up his sleeve.
"Ah what the hell." Nappa chuckled. "Might as well go all out. I'll show you the true power of a Saiyan!"
The Saiyan brute let out a mighty roar that shook the ground, his ki crackling around his body as his power exploded. His muscles bulged as his energy spiked, almost to double what it was before. This made the humans step back a little, knowing that while they have the upper hand, this is gonna be a tough battle.
"Get ready!" Tien commanded.
With that, Nappa charged at the closest one: Yamcha. Even with his build, he was quicker than what the former Bandit thought, and a punch to the gut hurled him to a nearby mountain. Krillin rushed in and kicked the bald Saiyan in the face, pushing him back as Tien swept him off his feet.
Chiaotzu got close and released a charged ki blast point-blank, sending the Saiyan skidding across the ground. Nappa growled and charged once more, delivering a flurry of blows that were either blocked or parried by Tien, however, a few managed to slip by his defenses.
Tien grunted as Nappa struck his side, prompting him to flip backward before shooting a Dodon Ray. The Saiyan slapped the ki beam away, only for him to suddenly freeze. He glanced sideways and spotted the Chiaotzu holding him in place with his telekinesis.
And this was when Yamcha returned to the fray, landing a flying kick in Nappa's face, who planted his feet in the ground to prevent himself from going too far. Blood seeped from the Saiyan's nose, but unexpectedly, he smirked widely.
"This is what I'm talkin' about!" He yelled in excitement. "You guys ain't half bad! I wouldn't mind getting warriors like you in my own squad!"
"You're doing well yourself." Tien returned the praise. "Considering the disadvantage you're in."
"Heh, this is nothing," Nappa replied. "C'mon now, this battle is far from over!"
With that quick exchange out of the way, the fight resumed. It was clear who was going to win, but even then, Nappa never lost his grin.
Vegeta turned his glance back to the two that stood before him. Well, for a middle-class, he's doing fairly decently. The big bastard is hard to put down admittedly, unlike the other Saiyans that were with him many years ago. Those weaklings sickened him.
"So, you two want to fight me, then," Vegeta noted.
They responded by getting into their stances, eliciting a chuckle from the Prince.
"Very well." He smirked, clenching his fists. "Show me what you can do."
A few tense seconds pass, Gohan nervously glancing between the current battle and the one that's about to take place. He knew Piccolo and his father would win against him, but a sinking feeling in his stomach told him that it's not that simple.
He knew he wasn't needed in the fight against Nappa, and Vegeta was so much stronger than him that he'd be more of a nuisance than anything, but he wanted to do something. Is there anything he could do to help?
He felt useless.
And he hated it.
In an instant, Goku's aura suddenly flared crimson for a split second as he sped past Piccolo, punching Vegeta right in the gut. The Prince's eyes bulged out of his skull as he was sent soaring through the wasteland and into a mountain.
Piccolo's eyes widened when he felt the sudden ki spike from his archnemesis, but didn't get the chance to ask as Goku flew towards his opponent. The Namekian clicked his tongue and followed after him closely as their battle finally began.
Vegeta quickly recovered and clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Cheap shot…"
He leaped forward as his clash with Goku began, punches and kicks causing shockwaves across the whole planet. The Prince evaded a jab and kneed his opponent in the stomach before delivering a powerful axe kick to the head.
But then a hand grabbed him by the arm and pulled him close. Piccolo headbutted the Saiyan Elite and swung him around before throwing him back to the valley, following up with a charged ki blast.
Vegeta scoffed and kicked the blast away, and was fast enough to block Goku's incoming attack, catching his fist with his own. However, another ki blast hit his back and scorched some of his armor, making him growl at the Namekian angrily.
"Pest…!"
Piccolo rushed forward, the two allies cornering Vegeta as they each threw flurries of blows. The Prince struggled to block and dodge, but he was no slouch either; striking harder than either of them could. The two realized that the Prince of Saiyans was a formidable warrior in skill as well.
Goku's ki changed to crimson for a split second as he kicked Vegeta away, charging a Kamehameha wave in his hands. He didn't waste time charging it and quickly launched the Ki attack, a powerful wave of blue energy flying towards the Saiyan Elite.
Vegeta flipped and landed on his feet, growling in anger as he held the incoming attack with his hands. With his ki flaring, he redirected the blast someplace else, only for the Namekian to kick him in the back.
Goku flew closer, floating next to Piccolo as they glared at the Prince.
"What the hell was that?" Piccolo quickly asked.
"I believe he's referring to the Kaioken." Remiel clarified. "Speaking of, I believe you should end the battle soon."
"I'll tell you about it later." Goku waved his question off. "Now's not the time."
"Don't worry, Remiel." He smirked. "We have the upper hand here, I doubt Vegeta will be able to do much against the two of us."
"Goku, no." His friend remained firm. "Overconfidence is the last thing we need at the moment. End the fight."
"We got this, don't worry," Goku assured him. "You told me all about his techniques. I know what I'm doing."
Remiel did not reply, opting to stay silent, but Goku did sense his disapproval, prompting him to frown a little.
"Hmph, you better," Piccolo said. "Well, whatever it is, it's working. As long as we keep this going, we'll win."
The valley suddenly exploded in blue energy as Vegeta flew up, looking at his opponents in rage. "You worthless, pathetic excuse for a Saiyan!" He roared, his power increasing slightly. "I am Vegeta, The Prince of All Saiyans, and I will not be defeated by a low-class and a damned slug!"
"Heh, come on then, Prince of All Saiyans." Piccolo taunted with a menacing smirk. "Do a better job, or else you'll die by this slug."
Vegeta charged with a yell, faster than he was before, and landed a kick at Piccolo's jaw before spinning and dodging Goku's fist, releasing a point-blank ki blast at the low-class Saiyan's face.
This fight was far from over.
Over at the other side, Nappa struggled against the group of humans, tanking painful strikes and counter-attacking whenever possible, but he can't keep this up at this rate. These four have great chemistry and teamwork and seeing how powerful they all are, it's a very tough match for the Saiyan Brute.
His armor was falling apart, and he gritted his teeth as he blocked Yamcha's Wolf Fang Fist, unable to defend himself from Krillin's Kamehameha that scorched his back. He slapped Tien's fist away and struck back with a mouth beam that sent him flying before grabbing Chiaotzu by the head and slamming him on the ground.
A kick by the former Bandit sent him upward as Krillin followed by slamming him back down. Tien continued the combo by showering the Saiyan with ki blasts from above, right before he was smashed into several boulders by Chiaotzu's telekinesis.
Every time he'd knock someone away, another would take his place. The humans are damned durable, and he's not gonna last long if this keeps up. They were slowly whittling him down, and he doesn't have a lot of energy left.
"Damn it all…" He cursed under his breath, getting back on his feet. "How did you get that strong…?"
"We trained," Yamcha answered, bruised and bloodied but nowhere near as hurt as him. "All of us together. We went through hell so you Saiyans don't hurt our planet."
Nappa clenched his fists. "Morons. You think training will help you beat Lord Freeza? Wishful thinking. He's a monster, nothing can touch him."
"We don't know who Freeza is," Krillin responded. "But what we know is that there's nothing we can't do if we put our minds to it. Piccolo is right; you guys are quitters."
"You…" Viens threatened to pop in Nappa's forehead as he snarled at the humans in front of him. "You pathetic fools have no idea what we went through."
"And we don't care," Tien replied bluntly. "You don't believe in your own power, so you aim for immortality. You're no warriors, but two cowards trying to take the easy way out."
Nappa flinched, but this response only served to make him angrier. "The hell did you say, three-eyes?"
"You heard me." Tien glared back.
Nappa screamed, rushing forward as he was blinded by rage. Tien ducked under a wide swing before kicking the Saiyan in the chest, with Yamcha following up with a knee to his face. The Brute was sent sprawling over the ground, blood trailing down his nose and mouth.
Nappa struggled to get up, spitting out a broken tooth as he began to charge his ki.
"FINE! YOU'VE DONE IT NOW!" He roared, electricity dancing around his body as his power increased more and more. "DIE, SCUM!"
While his power did increase, the group noticed that he's exerting too much energy. If he keeps this up, he'll end up killing himself in the process. However, even one direct hit could be devastating. They were confident in their newfound powers, but the Saiyan is not to be underestimated.
Nappa released a powerful ki wave from his mouth, one that soared towards Tien who made a triangle with his hands, ready to unleash his own ki blast. Energy swirled around his body as the incoming wave got close, but he was fortunately fast enough to block it.
"KIKOHO!"
A triangular-shaped ki blast made contact with Nappa's mouth beam, making a gigantic explosion between the two. The Saiyan anticipated this, though, and quickly rushed forward to attack the three-eyed human.
Only for Chiaotzu to freeze him midair, giving Yamcha the chance to land tens of blows on him. Krillin joined in too, fists and feet flying at speed untraceable by humans as Nappa was beaten down. He fell to the ground, his energy finally giving out. He was on the verge of unconsciousness, glowering at the humans who defeated him.
"Damn you…"
"Stop struggling, man." Yamcha sighed. "We don't really wanna kill you, y'know."
Suddenly, Gohan appeared, floating down as he witnessed the end of the battle. He had a happy look on his face, causing the others to smile back at him. "You did it, guys!"
"Heh, that we did." Krillin gave the Saiyan Hybrid a thumbs up. "Told you it'll be fine, little guy."
"Hehe…" Gohan giggled as Krillin patted his head.
"What about Goku and Piccolo?" Yamcha asked, stretching his ki senses. "Are they doing oka-"
Right before he finished the sentence, someone plummeted to the ground nearby, and as the dust cleared, Vegeta stood back up from the crater he made with an enraged snarl as Goku and Piccolo charged at him once again.
Vegeta blocked, parried, dodged, and counterattacked, but he was getting overwhelmed. He did not expect Kakarot to be that powerful, much less the damned Namekian. For every kick he threw, two strikes would land on him. For every ki blast he shot, a barrage would rain down on him.
He was never pushed this much in his life before - most of the planets he conquered never had such warriors. What is happening? He's a Saiyan Elite! He's supposed to be the one winning here, not them!
He backed away, creating a cloud of dust by shooting the ground with his ki before launching the two back with a close-ranged energy wave. Vegeta panted in exhaustion, looking around for his companion to see if he dealt with that squad of humans.
Where the hell is that idiot- He froze as he spotted Nappa he laid there on his back, barely breathing. You useless bastard…
Great, now it's a six-on-one. As if this day could get any worse.
Goku and Piccolo returned and landed, looking at him with frowns. He's at a severe disadvantage right now - as much as he hates to admit it, he can't deal with those two on his own much less everyone else at the same time.
Well, there's only one thing he can do right now.
"Very well, I'll admit that you're no weakling, Kakarot. You too, Namekian." Vegeta complimented. "No one has ever pushed me this much before, so I might as well show you my true power."
"He's up to something," Piccolo noted. "Be on guard."
"I know." Goku nodded.
Vegeta extended his arm, palm open as weird energy swirled around it. A white ki ball formed, floating up to his hand as the Prince grinned widely. "I don't like using this disgusting form, but I suppose there's no escaping my heritage."
"Hold," Remiel said. "Do it at the last second. We want to catch him off guard."
"Got it."
Goku knew what this was; Remiel told him about it already and was ready to end this grueling battle before it even began. He waited for the perfect opportunity, though. Vegeta must not know what he was planning to do.
"Behold the power of a Great Ape!" Vegeta roared as he threw the ball up. "Burst, open and mix!"
"What the hell…" Piccolo muttered, looking at the ball in confusion. "What is that?"
"Hehe, you fools will soon realize just how fucked you really are." Vegeta chuckled, his grin widening as he looked at the artificial moon. "I'll turn this planet into space dust!"
"Now!"
At his signal, Goku flared up his Ki, activating Kaioken x7, and rushed, speeding past Vegeta. Everyone stopped as they stared at him with their jaws dropped, feeling the insane increase in power just now. Of course, the Saiyan Invaders didn't quite feel it - only the sudden, intense heat that followed the technique.
Speaking of heat, Vegeta suddenly felt a sharp pain in his backside as his transformation stopped. He slowly turned around, his heart dropping to his stomach as he saw his tail in Goku's hand, ripped clean off.
"No…" Vegeta whispered. "What… have you done…?"
"Think I was gonna watch and do nothing?" Goku smirked, dropping the tail. "Heh, now you can't transform."
Vegeta was unresponsive, still in shock as he saw his glorious Saiyan heritage tarnished - his tail ripped off completely. Rage began to bubble inside of him, anger unlike ever before as his energy spiked up.
"Y-you dare…?" The Prince gritted his teeth, pupils dilating as his wrath took over him. "You low-class scum dare to cut my tail?"
Goku flinched, admittedly concerned as his opponent's power began to rise rapidly. Not even a minute, and it almost doubled, making him clench his fists. He felt worried but equally excited. Even if Vegeta was getting this powerful, he still has his Kaioken to deal with it, so it's not all that bad-
"DODGE!"
Remiel's warning was unfortunately too late as Vegeta's fist connected with Goku's face, sending him miles and miles away.
"HRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
The Prince's angry roar shook the Earth as his power exploded, prompting Goku to roar back, his aura turning red once more.
"LIMIT FORCE!"
Mountains would shake and shatter as the force of their punches released shockwaves all over the planet. Two auras in the sky clashed, fists would be blocked, kicks would be thrown, Ki waves would vaporize hills and valleys.
The power of these two Titans forced the remaining warriors to look in awe. It wasn't clear who was winning; Each time Vegeta would land an attack, Goku would throw him through mountains. For every Ki Blast, Goku would shoot, Vegeta would slam him back to the ground.
They were equal - the rage Vegeta was feeling increased his powers to levels beyond what he thought was possible in his regular form, but he wasn't thinking clearly. He wanted nothing but to rip this upstart Saiyan a new one.
As for Goku, this was the battle he wanted! He knew he could beat Vegeta, but to end a battle so quickly left a bad taste in his mouth. Remiel warned him about the Great Ape's destructive capabilities, so he followed through with the plan. This is a lot less dangerous, so he could at least have a little fun. It wasn't everyday he gets a chance like this.
"Incredible…" Piccolo mumbled in awe, though, there was a hint of anger in his tone. "So you were hiding your true power all along, Goku?"
"Man, and here I thought we could catch up." Yamcha rubbed his neck. "Yet here he goes, leaving us in the dust again."
"Heh, that just means we need to train harder," Tien added with a smile. "Isn't that right, Gohan?"
Tien glanced at the boy, who was breathing heavily. Gohan quivered and shook, gazing high at the sky. At this point, everyone else noticed the boy looking quite strange. Krillin shook him by the shoulders as if to snap him out of it.
"Gohan, are you okay buddy?"
"Haha…" Nappa laughed, breathing as hard as the Saiyan Hybrid, his eyes wide open as well. "You idiots… are done for now."
Gohan then growled, pushing Tien away from him as he began to grow, and so did Nappa. Krillin realized what was happening - they were turning into that giant monkey form like Goku did a long time ago!
But how? The moon isn't even out yet- how is this happening?
He looked back up at the ki blast that the Prince made - the white one floating in the sky acting as a… moon.
Oh no.
"Quick, cut their tails!" Krillin screamed at his friends.
The others didn't question him, but they were too late as Nappa released a Ki shockwave that pushed them all away, even Piccolo. The Saiyan's power was increasing dramatically, and unlike Gohan, he seemed aware and conscious.
Hair began to grow on his body - his face deforming and changing as his eyes turned bright red. He grew big, dozens of feet tall as he stared down the remaining warriors. His power was tremendous, far surpassing that of both Vegeta and Goku.
Same with Gohan, who let out an enraged roar so powerful it shattered the ground beneath him. Unlike the Saiyan Brute, he was going haywire - slamming his chest with his fists as he released ki blast after ki blast in random directions.
"I wonder how you'll fare against a Great Ape." Nappa chuckled, grinning to show his fangs. "Heh, not so confident now, are ya?"
As if he somehow didn't notice the other giant monkey rampaging next to him, Nappa failed to evade the huge fist that collided with his face, growling at Gohan who flailed his fists around. While transformed, he was still a little tired, and the Saiyan Hybrid clearly had a lot of strength.
Fortunately, he's totally out of control. Nappa had dealt with many rampaging Great Apes that were stronger than him before - Vegeta's first few times using that form weren't his best memories - so this shouldn't be much trouble. As long as he catches the tail, the kid is done for.
"Everyone, aim for the tail!" The Namekian commanded. "As strong as he may be, Gohan is distracting him!"
Unfortunately, his enemies aren't dead yet. He needs to be careful and protect his tail before they get to him. Once this stupid kid is out of the picture, he can handle these humans with ease.
"Out of my way, brat!" Nappa punched the other Great Ape in the face, making him stumble and fall back, causing a mini earthquake.
He turned to the other warriors and saw a yellow disk-shaped ki blast soaring towards his tail, however, he managed to move it out of the way just in time. He growled at the short bald human, who gritted his teeth in frustration.
Nappa whacked the human with his tail, sending him through half a dozen mountains and miles away from the battlefield. He felt the psychic power of the white one freeze him in his place, but due to his Great Ape form, he almost instantly overpowered it.
The Saiyan Brute grinned maniacally at him right as he narrowly dodged a fist from Gohan, delivering a headbutt that sent the Hybrid reeling, though it barely damaged him. Gohan immediately struck back with his own headbutt, making Nappa stumble back.
This is gonna be a pain in the ass for the Saiyan, isn't it?
At the other side of the battlefield, Goku and Vegeta traded blows, both battered and bruised. The Prince, with broken armor and blood dripping from his forehead, looked as if his rage subsided from his sheer exhaustion, while his opponent, gi torn apart and tired as he was, looked delighted.
"You'll pay for what you did, Kakarot," Vegeta glowered. "Once I'm finished ripping you apart, I'll slaughter every single one of your beloved humans on this stupid rock."
"Too bad, you're gonna have to go through me first," Goku grinned. "And you're not doing a great job right now~"
Vegeta flared his ki and charged, a bit weaker than before due to how much energy he used in such a short amount of time, but still very formidable. Goku ducked and parried his strike, landing a hook to the Prince's side before sweeping him off his feet.
Vegeta blocked an incoming punch and spun around, throwing a kick to which Goku narrowly avoided, but he couldn't dodge the ki wave at such a close distance. The Saiyan of Earth brought his arms in front of him, barely blocking the Prince's attack.
His arms stung, prompting him to grimace in pain as Vegeta went on the offensive. A whirlwind of punches and kicks put Goku on his toes as he struggled to block or dodge them, though he waited for the perfect opportunity.
However, Vegeta was incredibly skilled - there were next to no openings in his stance, and Goku realized he needed to do something before he's overwhelmed. So if there was no opening, he'd have to make one.
Goku deliberately took a hit, brought his hands in front of his face, and yelled out one of his friend's techniques.
"Solar Flare!"
A bright light blinded the Prince, making him grunt in pain as he stepped back. Goku took the chance and began his counterattack, and unlike him who had great sensing skills, Vegeta was unable to defend himself from the flurry of heavy blows. He was utterly powerless at the moment.
Goku's aura burned crimson as he sent the Prince flying high, before catching up to him and slamming him back down. Right before Vegeta hit the ground, the Saiyan of Earth kicked him through a valley of rocks.
"Good thinking, Goku," Remiel praised, making the Saiyan smile. "However, you must leave Vegeta for now. The others are in danger."
His grin dropped when he sensed something in the distance. He whipped his head and saw two Great Apes battling it out, making his blood run cold. He recognized their energies clearly. His son needs help, and fast.
However, it seems that the Prince took the chance as Goku was distracted and landed a direct hit to the jaw, making Goku cry out in pain as he slammed into a plateau, pain flaring in every part of his body.
"You need to end this, Goku," Remiel said calmly. "Gohan might hurt himself if this keeps up."
"Yeah, I think I've had enough fun for now," Goku grimaced. "Full power it is."
"Times Six!" His aura came to life, hotter and redder than ever before. "I'm coming son. Please be safe."
Goku glared at the Prince and vanished out of sight, making Vegeta gasp as a blow to the gut knocked the wind out of him. He didn't know what was happening, only feeling the sheer agony all over his body as he was completely unable to catch up with his opponent's speed. He was sent back down before getting swallowed by a giant ki sphere that exploded, destroying everything nearby.
With that, Goku left his battle with Vegeta, floating as he processed the situation. The Earthlings alongside Piccolo seem to be trying to cut Nappa's tail, however, Gohan was making it especially difficult due to his unpredictable nature.
Nappa's power far outweighs theirs combined, but even then, they were doing a great job. The Saiyan seems to have lost a lot of mobility thanks to the transformation, and trying to hit small and nimble fighters with a giant monkey rampaging next to you must be pretty difficult.
This isn't good, he needs to do something before they get hurt.
So the first thing he did was simple, and that was to charge at Gohan with speed even he couldn't keep up with and destroy his tail with a ki blast. The Great Ape let out a pained roar as he slowly shrunk down, all the great power he had vanishing rapidly.
Nappa noticed and laughed. "Kakarot! Nice of you to teach your kid how to respect their elders-"
Goku had no patience for him and landed a heavy punch on Nappa's nose, one that actually managed to push him back and trip him over the natural pillars of stone. He quickly turned to his son, out cold and back in his original form.
Goku landed softly as he deactivated the Kaioken, holding his son in his arms with a smile. He took off his blue shirt and wrapped it around him, covering his naked body.
"You're safe now, Gohan. I won't let them hurt you."
Krillin and Yamcha floated down next to him, both very glad to see him again. If Goku's here, then Vegeta must be defeated, right? So with their powers combined, the Great Ape should pose no problem at all.
"Krillin, Yamcha, can I count on you for something?" He asked his friends, who both blinked.
"Sure, what is it?" Krillin nodded.
"Take care of Gohan," He responded. "Please keep him safe. I'll deal with them now."
"Uh sure," Yamcha blinked. "Wait, them? You mean you haven't beaten the other guy yet?!"
"I haven't, but I will now," Goku said simply before flexing his ki. "I'll leave you to it."
"Good luck." His best friend patted him on the back.
Goku nodded and flew towards Nappa, who just got up back on his feet. Chiaotzu, Piccolo, and Tien were weaving and dodging as they released their energy at him, showering him with blasts from all directions.
Activating his Kaioken again, Goku sped past everything and cut Nappa's tail in one swift movement, making the older Saiyan look on in horror. He didn't notice him - he just saw a red blur go right behind him before his tail got cut.
What is this? How is Kakarot so powerful? And wait, if he's here, then Vegeta is-
As the thought crossed his mind while he was turning back, the Prince returned to the battle, looking worse for wear. Blood dripped from everywhere, he was seconds away from passing out right there and then, but through sheer willpower and rage, he stood tall.
Clearly, they weren't winning this one, Nappa thought, not with them outnumbered and weakened like this.
The Saiyan brute fell to his knees, just as tired as the Prince who glared hatefully at Kakarot.
"I'll… kill you…" Vegeta struggled to say, his vision slowly darkening. "You low-class… scum!"
"Stand down, Vegeta," Goku warned with a frown. "This fight is over. You've lost."
"Me? Lose?" The Prince clenched his fist as he summoned his last bit of energy. "No. Not… to the likes of you."
Vegeta's aura exploded as he flew high, purple glow surrounding his body as he prepared an attack. His energy was increasing again, not as rapidly as before, but there was a significant boost. Goku narrowed his eyes and followed after him, going right behind the prince before punting him back to the ground.
This was enough to finally, truly defeat the Prince. Vegeta struggled and tried to get back up, but his broken body failed him, and he promptly lost consciousness. Goku landed next to him, looking at him with an indescribable expression.
Nappa, who was on the verge of unconsciousness, fell on his stomach, accepting his defeat. Well, not much he can do right now - this is probably the end of the line for them. Even if Kakarot lets them go, the Namekian will probably disagree.
...But there must be something he can do, right? Something he can do to at least save Vegeta. The Prince was young, and one of the few last remaining Saiyans.
Piccolo glanced at Nappa, extending his arm as ki charged in his palm, ready to blast the Saiyan Brute to oblivion. However, unexpectedly, Goku grabbed the Namekian's arm, shaking his head.
"It's done," Goku said. "There's no need to kill him, Piccolo. We already won."
"And you think we should let him go?" The Namekian scowled. "He's the enemy. He came here planning to kill us all."
"He's in no position to fight back," Goku argued. "This is enough. No one needs to die today."
"Your good nature will get us all killed." Piccolo sneered.
Good. Nappa thought, hiding a dark smirk. Keep fighting. I just need one second of you morons not paying attention…
"I'm with Goku on this one," Krillin added. "I don't think we need to kill them. We've already won, it wouldn't feel right to just take their lives."
"What if they come back, though?" Tien frowned. "Today's battle was a close one. We don't need a repeat."
"Then we'll be ready," Yamcha countered. "As long as we have that gravity machine, we'll beat 'em back every time."
"We'd still be risking the planet in the process, idiot," Piccolo scoffed.
Nappa narrowed his eyes and forced ki to his fingers. This was his chance, and he's not about to waste it.
"MOVE!" Remiel screamed in Goku's head, making him flinch.
"Wha-?!"
He raised two fingers, and nobody expected the explosion that engulfed them. Nappa sprinted past them and grabbed the unconscious body of the Prince, before quickly flying back where the pods had landed. If only he had the remote control…
A few seconds of them disorientated gave the Saiyan the perfect opportunity of stuffing Vegeta inside the pod, directing it to one of the planets under Freeza's control, and activating it. The Prince's pod shot through the skies and out of the stratosphere in seconds, and just as Nappa tried to get in his, a beam pierced his shoulder and went through the pod, likely destroying it.
Heh. Despite it all, he only grinned. Too slow, eh?
He fell, looking at the enraged Namekian as his consciousness slowly left him. Make it count, Prince.
With that, Nappa closed his eyes, unable to stay awake any longer.
"See?" Piccolo whipped his head back at Goku with a scornful glare. "Now the stronger one of them escaped because of you!"
Goku didn't quite see what the problem was. That was his plan in the first place anyway.
"This proves it," Remiel noted suddenly.
"Proves what?" Goku questioned.
"That Nappa can change," He clarified. "He saved his partner before himself. If that is not selfless, I don't know what is."
"...Yeah, I guess you're right," Goku agreed. "I don't think he deserves death if he can really change."
"It's past us now, Piccolo," The Saiyan of Earth shook his head. "It's done. We shouldn't fight over this."
"Hmph," The Namekian scoffed. "if that's the case, then I might as well get rid of the remaining trash."
"Piccolo, no," Goku glared at him. "I said this is enough."
Piccolo glared back, the two frozen for a moment. Goku could stop him right now if he wanted to, but he didn't want to use force. He could tell that Piccolo was different, something was odd about him since the last time they fought together.
He was more amiable, more likely to listen to reason. He didn't know what caused this change, if he was being honest, but the Namekian seems nowhere near as evil as he was before.
If he could solve this peacefully, then he will. No more bloodshed.
After a tense minute, Piccolo lowered his arm and scoffed. "Don't blame me if this comes back to haunt you."
"Thanks, Piccolo," Goku smiled, then turned back to the others. "Let's take him back with us. There's a lot of stuff I need to tell you guys."
The humans looked at each other and nodded as Tien took the body of Nappa with him. They won handily with no casualties aside from the pod's landing, and Goku got his fun fight.
Now they can focus on the real issue at hand. If they want to beat Freeza…
Goku looked at Nappa and frowned slightly.
Then they need all the help they can get.
Took a while, but it's here. You'd think I was gonna take a couple of chapters to write the whole thing, but I'm generally a fast-paced writer, so who knows. I might actually reach the Super arcs by chapter 50 lmao.
In all seriousness, this was a fun chapter to write. I struggled at the start, and had other fics I needed to work on which is why this took long, but hey, it's a 10k chapter, so yay?
Also, I want to address something real quick: Four chapters - not counting this one - and this fic reached 1900+ followers, making it the seventh most followed fic in the DBZ section. What the fuck? How? I could've sworn it was like, 1k last week. What happened?
I guess DBZ fans are starved for SIs lmao. Thanks a lot guys, it really means a lot.
Anyway, I talked enough. I'll post the PLs now.

A little different from what you'd expect, but that's because I wanted to write an epic battle without it looking dumb. Creative liberty.
btw, someone asked about the movies, and yes, I will be using some of them, but I will also tweak them a bit to make it more interesting.
A hint: Not all big brothers are bad.
