It has been a few days since Sammy left for college, a few days since his baby brother offered for Dean to come with him to California and to leave the hunting life behind, a few days since Dean said no.

Castiel loved Dean. He trulky did. But Castiel has been alone with Sam for the last two weeks and therefore noticed more and more how beautiful the younger hunter really was. So one day while they were in the library Castiel made a split second decision which led to a very nice time with the young hunter.

Dean desperately prayed to Castiel, to God even but noone answered his call. After a while the hunter stopped and just stared at the lifeless body in front of hime for what felt like an eternity. His own body was numb from the cold but that was not important to him. The only thing that was truly important to him was lying in front of him right now, unmoving and not breathing.

Sam was not entirely sure why he was sitting there right now and why he felt the need to do it like this but the hunter felt drawn to the lake since he first saw it. It calmed him in a way he did not understand but he knew that if he was going to die then he had to be cold while it happened.
