Godzilla is on the hunt, searching the dark ocean for prey. Normally he feeds on whales, and at times will travel deeper to hunt giant squid, but tonight he's looking for something larger, a creature that can fully satisfy his appetite.

In the distance is a large school of reptiles. These are Manda, and they're common in this ocean. They have thin bodies, green skin, shark-like heads with horns, spikes running from the head to tail, a fin at the end of their tails, tendrils on their snouts, insect-like forelimbs, and hind limbs resembling the flippers of whales.

They are perfect food for Godzilla. But that doesn't mean they're easy to kill, so he'll need to ambush them. He dives deeper, until he's directly below the school. Facing towards the Mandas, he waits for the right moment to strike.

Godzilla shoots up at an incredible speed, clamping his jaws on the tail of a Manda. He needed to attack from below so he could get to the Manda's soft underbelly, the greener part of their body is covered in an armored carapace. Godzilla starts shaking the tail in his mouth, causing the Manda to cry in pain, as the rest of the school scatters. He grabs his struggling victim with his hand to prevent it from escaping, as he attempts to tear off its tail. Godzilla feels something bite his own tail, he releases the Manda, and turns to see another Manda attacking him. This one is larger than the others, it must be the alpha. Godzilla swings his tail, causing the serpent to release him, and he goes in for the kill. But the Manda swims around him and begins to constrict him with its body. Godzilla quickly swims up to the surface, hoping to catch the Manda by surprise. Once he bursts out of the water, he and the Manda roar at each other, allowing him to see its exposed underbelly. He bites down onto the Manda, forcing it back underwater. As the helpless creature unwraps Godzilla, he spins around with his prey still in his jaws. Godzilla stops, letting go of the Manda, now devoid of movement. With the serpent dead, he can finally eat.

He pulls off a chunk of flesh with his jaws, as he holds the rest of the corpse. He eats one of the hindlimbs, but the taste of nothing but bone doesn't please him. Godzilla won't need to hunt again for a while, this amount of meat should be enough to fill his stomach. However, he might want more than just a single Manda. If he follows the rest of that school, then he could get even more food.
