Stuck on this roof, Natalie can only watch as Godzilla battles the two Mandas in the distance. All these monsters ever do is fight, but that should be expected from creatures so gigantic. The only thing running through their minds is survival, and they are never hesitant to kill their enemies.

Natalie doesn't want to watch the fight anymore, turning her attention to the other people trapped on this roof. She notices a man sitting on the ground, recognizing him as the same man that was selling apples right before the city was flooded. Maybe she can make some small talk to lighten the mood.

"Are you doing, okay?" she asks.

"I'm still alive, I ain't hurt. So, I am okay." the man replies.

"My name is Natalie. What's yours?"

"Danny. I grew up in this city, and I chose to stay after my parents moved to California."

"And you must have found success."

"You can say that again. Got a family, Natalie?"

"I'm happily married, hoping to have a child soon. I just hope my husband is alright."

"Never lose hope on your loved ones."

Natalie becomes distracted by the sound of water moving, possibly caused by a Manda. She walks over to the edge of the roof, and finds a kaiju swimming, but it's not a Manda like she expected. It appears to be a giant lobster, which passes by the building, more interested in the fight still going on in the heart of the city. With nothing else to worry about, Natalie returns to the other survivors. Of course, she still prays for Rick's safety.

Godzilla only has two more Mandas to kill, but they've both been a pain in his ass, and aren't easy to kill. Ever since he chased the school into this city, his prey has been using the buildings as coverage against him. It's surprising they haven't fled by this point, even though it would be the smart thing to do. As long as the serpents continue to fight back, the more likely Godzilla will have a large meal.

One of the Mandas swims past his waist, but despite how quick it's moving, Godzilla is able to grab the serpent's tail, lifting the whole creature out of the water. Godzilla swings the Manda, smashing it against a building. The serpent falls into the water, and before he could attack it, he notices the other Manda approaching. Godzilla charges up his atomic ray, which he normally doesn't use when hunting. The Manda bursts out of the water, right as Godzilla fires a blast. However, he released the atomic ray too early, resulting in a short spew. But it's still enough to burn the face of the serpent, killing it instantly. And now, only one Manda remains.

Godzilla approaches his final victim, as it hisses at him, but he isn't intimidated. The Manda is suddenly pulled underwater. Confused, Godzilla peers into the murky water, trying to figure out what could have happened to the Manda. A larger creature emerges, with the Manda in its giant claw. The newcomer is a huge crustacean, which Godzilla has encountered before, Ebirah. It must also be hunting the Manda, but Godzilla won't allow his food to be stolen, as he roars at the arthropod. Ebirah screeches back at him, dropping the Manda into the water, allowing it to escape. In their first battle, Godzilla emerged victorious, so he's confident that he can win again.

Ebirah swings its large claw, but Godzilla grabs it, before turning the crustacean onto its back. He proceeds to claw at its underbelly, until Ebirah jabs the tip of its claw in his eye. As Godzilla rubs his eye, he's grabbed by the neck, as Ebirah climbs up his body, overwhelming him with its weight. Godzilla can feel his knees trembling, but he's strong enough to push Ebirah through a building, and they both splash into the water. Free from Ebirah's grasp, Godzilla bites its large claw. He holds it with both his hands, puts his foot against the crustacean's body, pulling as hard as he can, before finally tearing off the claw. Ebirah screeches in pain, flailing its smaller claw as well as its missing claw. With his rival powerless, Godzilla charges up another atomic ray, focusing on Ebirah. He fires a full blast, successfully hitting his target. Surprisingly, Ebirah is able to survive the blast, but is still left with a burnt face. The crustacean slowly limps away, unable to fight anymore.

Godzilla roars into the air, only it isn't a roar of victory, but a roar of anger. He's had enough of this constant fighting, he's wasted his time hunting down a whole school of Mandas just to consume tons of food. There is still one more Manda, and once he kills it, he's leaving this city to eat his prize in peace.
