Chapter 44
"They weren't kidding." She muttered with a tired tone. "I should have prepared myself."
Spoke none other than Nami, laying in bed next to Naruto covered in blankets, both sweating with Hoshigaki's right arm wrapped around her so she could be pulled in closer with her body pressing against his.
"You're telling me," Muttered the man. "you had a lot more stamina than they did."
With a smirk, she rolls over on his chest while their eyes made contact.
"Shyarly told me about your vision..."
The moment she uttered those words, his eyes widened and immediately looks away while she smiles sadly and presses her head against his chest, looking the other way in the opposite direction.
"You had seven kids... all gathered at your grave." Nami could only smile sadly at hearing his heartbeat increase.
"Yeah...listen Nami—"
"It's ok..."
When he heard that, he quickly looks back at her in shock just as she looks up at him with a sad smile.
"It's ok to be with other women, I mean." Ever slowly, his eyes begin to widen. "If something happens to me...I don't want you to go through what you did with Juvia ever again, I want there to be others that can put you back together...so if something does happen to me I won't have to worry about you on the other side."
The shock was an understatement, it was more so disbelief as he suddenly sat up much to her surprise from being hugged tightly into his chest.
"You're not going to die, I won't allow it." His eyes showed a strong conviction. "I won't fail again...I won't lose you."
Nami just stares at him with surprise before smiling and leans into him.
"That side of you is the main reason why you keep having woman fall head over heels for you...why I did. Tho we're gonna be laying some ground rules." At that moment, Naruto's eyes went bug-eyed with Nami's tone taking a different direction. "If she so happens to be rich, I get to access her wealth—"
"Wait, when did this turn into me being used for you to get a quickly Beli—you're trying to get me with Hanabi?!"
"What?! From what you told me, she has a thing for you and she's a Princess of Wano so it's a win/win." Her tone began taking a lighter turn unlike Naruto who was beginning to feel like Nami was using him as a male prostitute, but that ends when they both noticed something out the window and that got Nami to exit the bed in confusion.
"What is the—" Like Naruto did before, Nami went bug-eyed.
"WHAT?!" Nami's shout got his attention. "Oh, no! It must be Whitestrom!"
In an instant, Nami found Naruto next to her, staring out the window at the massive water channel with a speeding current the size of a sea king nearing them.
"DAMMIT LUFFY!" As they both shout their captain's name, the two made a break for the door while grabbing pieces of their clothing as they ran full speed down the halls of the ship.
"GUYS!" The sudden shout gained almost all of their attention to see Naruto and Nami striving on the deck's upper floor. "We have to get away from that Whirlpool now!"
"There! Usopp shouted with waving arms. "Our navigators back! Let's go, fools!"
"AUGH! WHAT IS THAT FISH DOING THERE?!" Nami's shout caused the Fishman to turn and sweatdrop at the large haul they had behind their ship, a massive fish for lunch and dinner.
"Oh," Luffy smiled brightly. "we caught it!"
"What do you think your—" She was cut off by Naruto grabbing her by her shoulders and forcibly turning her to look back at the fish...that was currently being dragged into the massive current of death that they were now being pulled towards.
"Dammit Luffy, cut the line now!
"NO! It's our food!"
"NO! Naruto's right, we're gonna get pulled in!"
In response to this, Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and evening Usopp showed absolute horror.
"WHAT?!" Their full attention focused on the two. "WE WANTED TO EAT THE DEEP-SEA FISH!"
In response to this, even Naruto was taken aback by the pure rage on Nami's face, not wanting to deal with this bullshit on what was supposed to be one of the happiest moments of her life.
"ARE YOU ALL COMPLETE DUMBASSES?! WHAT'S MORE IMPORTANT, FISH OR YOUR LIFE? I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU PULL THIS NOW WHILE ME AND NARUTO WERE—" In an instant, Nami's covers her mouth while her cheeks turn bright red just like Naruto's this confused some as Luffy and Zoro didn't get it unlike Usopp, Brook, Chopper, Franky, and Sanji who went wide-eyed.
"WHAT?!" Sanji's outburst took the two by surprise as they jolted while staring at his tearful face. "YOU TWO WERE HAVING SEX THE WHOLE TIME DOWN THERE?!"
His shout increased their blush as Nami wraps her arms more around her body at not having enough time to put on an actual top put instead of her panties and a jacket zipped up. Naruto just scratches the back of his head while avoiding eye contact, much to Sanji's suffering and during this whole thing, Robin was smiling at seeing they finally did it but that ends when a question was brought up by their captain.
"What's sex?"
"..."
Everyone went deadly quiet as they all just look at Luffy as if he were the dumbest person on the planet...common sense wise he could actually be which Naruto's pinches the bridge of his nose.
"Once we get back to land, we need to buy a children's book on the birds and the bees for Luffy, there is no way in hell I'm giving my captain the 'talk' that's Garp's job, DAMMIT!"
With that done and over with, Nami turns to Franky below them.
"Franky, coup de burst now!"
"No, it's super too late for that!"
Without a lie being said, the fish was entirely pulled in with their ship the following suit as it too was being dragged in after it.
"It's too late!"
"I don't wanna die!"
"DAMMIT LUFFY!"
"HOLD ONTO THE SHIP!"
As those shouts were made, Naruto immediately ran higher to get to the ships steering wheel with Nami following with the blonde grabbing the wheel just as they were fully pulled in and with that they were being hit by a massive amount of gravitational pull as the sheer speed was making it difficult to hold on, unlike Luffy who just sighs.
"Even the Sunny can't endure a whirlpool this wild!" Despite shouting that, there was one that disagreed and was the one holding the steering wheel, Naruto who had Naruto wrapped around him as she held on tightly.
"Can't we get out of the whirlpool somehow?!" Brook questioned as he tries his best to hold himself together just as Robin spoke up from the stairs.
"There is only one record of someone able to escape a Whitestrom..." Upon uttering those words, Naruto looks at Robin who looks directly at him and all he did was look ahead.
"Hoshigaki D. Kisame...my father..."
"WITHOUT NARUTO'S DEVIL FRUIT WE'RE SCREWED!" Usopp shouted tearfully. "INSTEAD OF THE NEW WORLD, WE'RE ALL GOING HE—" In an instant the ship begins to rock back and forth, shocking a few until they look at the one steering the ship, Naruto who was moving the wheel repeatedly until finally the entire ship made a full circle and turned around towards the direction they were headed.
"FRANKY, CAN YOU REACH THE SHIPS COUP DE BURST!"
"WHAT, WE CAN'T USE IT—"
"ON MY SIGNAL, DO IT!"
With a grumble the cyborg immediately makes his way to the door below Naruto, using the strength of his robot arms to pull his body. While this was happening, Naruto had grabbed a couple of pieces of rope tied to the sails and was pulling them in all sorts of directions to keep the ship steady all the while Franky was tinkering below until they heard it.
"READY!"
With that single shout, Naruto grew serious as he could clearly see up a heard was a narrow turn which he pulls tighter on the sails to keep them straight as much as he could.

"NOW!" In an instant, the ships speed increased several folds as Nami held onto Naruto for dear life as the ship shout right out of the current on one of its narrow turns, using the currents own speed as a massive boost that allowed them to shoot out of it like a bullet train, gliding through the water full speed while heading upwards where it began to decelerate and with that, the others began to relax.
"That was...(huff)...amazing...(huff)." One captain began, taking breathes while laying on the grass with the others during the ships rise towards the top, being much closer thanks to it.
"If it weren't for you," Nami began while removing herself from Naruto, falling on her butt. "we would have all ended up drifting in the sea."
"Of course." The Fishman just smiles at hearing her words. "The ship is great, not to mention we have an amazing Navigator."
In response to his words, her cheeks began to get red before Naruto turned his attention to looking down to see about everyone gathered below to rest on the grass while they spoke.
"In any case, we're alive!
"Where are we?"
As the questions were asked, almost everyone was looking up above to see they were indeed approaching the top with some time left.
"It's the New World," Nami began with a smile next to Naruto. "the final sea of the Grand Line, up above us!"
"I can't wait!" Spoke the smiling captain who wanted to see what adventures came before them before he realized something and looks at Naruto who made eye contact with his captain.
"That was some great steering Naruto!" With a thumbs-up, Naruto returned it with his own as well as a smile.
"What did you expect, I did literally put my soul inside a ship." At that point, he gained some questionable looks before Usopp recalled.
"Your devil fruit allowed you to abandon your body and move your soul at will...that's how you bonded with our ship."
"Couldn't you have bonded with Luffy's hat?" This time, it was Zoro who asked and instantly Naruto facepalms, having not once thought of that which gained laughter from Luffy.
"Either way, I've decided our ship's new helmsman!" When those words left his mouth, everyone showed surprise at that with Naruto being the first to just smile.
"I'll do my best," He proceeds to salute. "Captain."
Luffy just shows a big smile before they noticed Brook take out a violin.
"I take it this is the official commencement of Naruto joining our crew, so I would like to celebrate with a song!" As those words left his skeletal mouth, Naruto simply scratches the back of his head in embarrassment while Nami wraps her arms around his left arm much to Sanji's envy just as Brook began.

As those words were said, the top was very close now, so much they could feel it.
"LET'S DO IT, GUYS!" With the Captain's words hitting all of them, they all spoke loudly.
"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!"
Their ships erupt from the sea where they found themselves in a large storm taking place, their ship rocking back and forth with Luffy shouting.
"WE'RE OUT!"
"IN THE NEW WORLD!" His crew finished with even the heavens heading it.
