Chapter 10 Goyo Onslaught
The crown Samurai had returned on their summoned monsters. However, this time they engaged in dueling. That came as quite a relief to those in Tokyo. The number of crown Samurai was much smaller this time as well. They hadn't quite reached Shinjuku yet. They were all the way near Ueno.
Flynn turned to Daisuke's niece, taking Dragonecro and Polymerization out of his deck. He returned the cards to Daisuke's deck which he'd tastefully taken Jack-o-Bolan out of. He wasn't sure what he was going to do with Jack-o-Bolan. He didn't trust the spirit after what it did to Daisuke. He handed the deck to her.
"Is this uncle Daisuke's deck? Why do you have it?", Daisuke's niece, Nia asked.
Flynn looked down feeling guilty.
"I…he isn't with us anymore. I recovered his deck and intended to give it to you.", Flynn revealed.
Nia teared up hearing this and Flynn felt worse.
"I'm sorry…I couldn't save him. You and the other children need to hide now. Nozomi can you take them to Cafe Florida?", Flynn said and Nozomi nodded.
"That shouldn't be too hard. I can easily catch up to you guys with my duel runner.", Nozomi replied.
"I don't get it, mister. Why didn't you just keep the cards? Most people wouldn't waste their time for a kid like me.", Nia questioned.
Flynn was silent as he looked melancholic.
"What kind of scoundrel would I be if I shamelessly ascounded the cards of a dead man?", Flynn replied.
Nia remembered that she overheard something about Flynn's parents. She realized in that way they were alike. They both lost their family to spirits.
"In Mikado, it's custom for children to inherit the cards of their family members. It's only natural.", Flynn added.
"Ohh…", Nozomi said as she finally understood why Flynn's grandfather had a similar deck.
"Mikado? What part of Tokyo is that?", Nia questioned in confusion.
"Hehe. It's not in Tokyo it's up above.", Jonathan explained as he pointed at the ceiling and the kids eyes were wide.
"You guys are from the surface?! The place where the sun is?!", a little boy questioned.
"This is all nice. However, not everyone on the surface is nice like these guys so we have to get you kids to safety. Follow me now.", Nozomi said as she beckoned the children.
With the Hunters…
They were currently outside the Shinjuku underground. Nikkari and Manabu had their duel disks out. Nanashi and Asahi stayed behind them as crown Samurai approached with their duel disks activated.
"Unclean Ones you shall surrender your mystic relics when you lose.", the crown Samurai said.
"At least they aren't just attacking us with real solid vision this time.", Manabu said.
"Duel!", the crown Samurai said as their duel disks synced.

"I wish we had duel disks! Then we could duel with them!", Asahi said.
Nanashi and Asahi looked wary as the other crown Samurai scanned them with their gauntlets.
"No mystic relics detected.", the familiar voice of Burroughs said.
"Then, these two are useless. We will have to find other Unclean Ones to duel.", the other crown Samurai not engaged with the duel said.
They walked off and the two teens looked highly offended.
"Who are you calling useless, asshole?", Nanashi questioned, but the crown Samurai completely ignored them.
"At least they won't be after us I guess.", Asahi said, trying to see the bright side.
"I would like to inform you of the special tag duel rules. You cannot attack an opponent who hasn't had their turn yet. Those on the same team will be sharing the same life points, field and graveyard. Since these are teams of two the life point count is doubled.", Burroughs explained.
"Burroughs, why are you helping them?", Asahi questioned.
"Uhh…she's an AI, Asahi. It's not like she's an actual person. She's just a part of the military grade duel disks. Anyone with a military grade duel disk has Burroughs.", Manabu explained.
"Ohh…", Asahi replied.
Burroughs activated the coin toss function.
"Looks like I'm first. I draw.", Nikkari said.

"I'm not that old…I activate the effect of Machina Fortress. I can discard machine monsters whose total level equals 8 or more to special summon it.", Nikkari said.

"I was really hoping that was just a Flynn thing.", Manabu replied.
"Jokes on you when you destroy Machina Fortress I can target one monster you control and destroy it. I choose Goyo Guardian. Not to mention since my monster was destroyed I draw a card.", Nikkari countered.

With the Samurai…
They started heading back to Shinjuku underground, but suddenly Jonathan froze.
"Hoy, what's with-owww!", Walter said, before crying out in pain.
Thankfully the kids had already left since their arms were glowing brightly with their signer marks. Jonathan looked east of them.
"I just felt something all of the sudden. It seemed to be in distress. You guys can go to the underground, but I think this is a call I should answer.", Jonathan replied.
"Are you sure about that, Jonathan? It's dangerous to go alone.", Flynn replied.
"I can go with him to make sure he doesn't get in over his head.", Isabeau offered and Flynn internally sulked but let it go.
"That's…fine…", Flynn replied, hiding his disappointment.
"Translation 'that's not fine'.", Walter quipped.
Walter flinched as he was met with a harsh glare from Flynn. Flynn wrapped his arms around Walter and Issachar's and yanked them. Poor Issachar was wondering why he was yanked too.
"It IS fine. We're going to Shinjuku underground to make sure everyone is alright. Then, combat the crown Samurai.", Flynn replied.
Jonathan sweat dropped feeling like he unintentionally pissed off Flynn again and Isabeau looked perplexed. He remembered how hard Flynn crushed him in a duel last time. He was dreading another duel like that. At least Flynn seemed to be a good sport about it.
"Alright…?", Isabeau replied awkwardly.
"But!", Walter objected.
"No buts!", Flynn replied, before dragging Walter and Issachar away.
Once they were out of earshot Flynn started to explain.
"Isabeau is her own woman. She simply wants to help her friend and comrade. There's nothing wrong with that. That kindness is exactly what I like about her.", Flynn said.
"You act like there IS something wrong with that though-", Walter was saying before Flynn gave him another death glare.
"He's probably just feeling a little jealous it's not him.", Issachar whispered quietly enough that Flynn wouldn't overhear him.
"Enough chit chat! Off to our Hunter fellows!", Flynn barked, making them bolt to attention.

The Hunters gaped as the massive fusion monster glared down at them like they were ants.
With Jonathan and Isabeau…
They used the signer marks to lead them. As they got closer to their destination their marks glowed brighter. They stopped before an orange barrier.
"How are we supposed to be past this?", Jonathan questioned as he touched the barrier which repelled him.
Isabeau simply sighed at this. Jonathan looked around trying to find another route.
"Guess it really was fortunate I came with you.", Isabeau said as Jonathan turned to her.
Isabeau pulled a card out of her deck oddly, not placing it on her gauntlet blade. Her signer mark seemed to react as some energy appeared around the card. By her side appeared Chevalier De Fleur making Jonathan gape.
"Chevalier De Fleur dispel this barrier. Whirlwind Counter!", Isabeau said.
The spirit raised its blade which had wind swirling around it like a tornado. She thrusted her blade forward, canceling out the barrier. Isabeau then motioned the stunned Jonathan forward.
"Ahh…yes I forgot about that.", Jonathan said.
"That's why Navarre calls you a slacker, Jonathan. Surely you can do at least this right?", Isabeau said as Jonathan sweat dropped.
"Umm…I-I can heal, but it makes me very exhausted.", Jonathan replied as Isabeau looked at him with a funny expression.
"Anything else?", Isabeau questioned.
"It's really good healing. Why do you think we all recovered so fast when we get injured all the time in duels?", Jonathan replied.
"Oh…I guess you got me there. I never really noticed you were healing us, Jonathan. You have my thanks then.", Isabeau replied.
"It's quite alright.", Jonathan replied.
The two came upon a tower which they entered. They came upon a few members of the Asura Kai crowding around a spirit. The spirit was hunched over shaking. It seemed to be a mechanized dragon completely clad in gold and silver armor from head to toe. It had three silver horns on its head and three running down its neck. It had a long sliver tail with a shovel at the end. It's wings were plane-like and separated like an insect's. On its left arm it had a green power drill mounted on it. It's right hand was a massive blue construction-like claw. It had circular red glass which acted as it's eyes.
Isabeau noticed how Jonathan's mark reacted even more at this distance. They were both sweating at the intense pain from the marks.
"Is that a signer dragon?", Jonathan questioned, sounding a little unsure when looking at the cowering dragon.
The Asura Kai and the mechanical dragon looked over to them.
"Kiyoharu…?", the mechanical dragon whispered.
"What's it to you?", Asura Kai member 1 said as he walked up to them with his hands in his pockets.
"Wait…those two are signers.", Asura Kai member 2 pointed out, pointing at they're marks.
The two tensed prepared to activate their gauntlets.
"How much you want?", Asura Kai member 2 asked.
"I beg your pardon?", Jonathan questioned.
"He's giving you a job offer, idiot.", Asura Kai member 3 said as the Samurai looked stunned.
