Chapter 16 True Dragon Reincarnation! Stardust Rebirth!
Issachar was stunned by the tuner's hit as the orb nailed him…dead on in the gut. He coughed up blood as he was sent flying back crashing into the wall behind them creating a crater.

Issachar's gasps for air could be audibly heard before his head dipped. Flynn froze completely.
Flynn couldn't breathe or think. It was all so fast memories didn't even have time to flash through his mind. He reached out futilely as tears stung his cheeks. He couldn't find his voice or coherent words; he just kept reaching out desperately.
"I believe he's broken.", the king said as the dark shadow instantly appeared by his side.
Its eyes were focused squarely at the emotionally distressed Flynn. The shadow lunged towards Flynn as his signer mark glowed harshly.
"Now, your mine…", the shadow said.
Outside the castle…
Skins heard an audible crack sound accompanied by a furious dragonic roar. He paled looking in his bag only to find the blade had completely shattered.
"F-fuck! What happened to the medium?!", Skins questioned, with a horrified expression.
In Tokyo…
There was a rumbling in Ginza as the statue of Stardust Dragon roared. It's eyes glowing an intense crimson. Cracks appeared all over the statue before what seemed to be an outer layer of stone shattered. The roar echoed throughout Tokyo causing many to jump. Many looked slack jawed as something bright soared through the sky. But, none witnessing it could trying describe what it looked like due to lacking the knowledge and because…it was far too fast. A loud sonic boom could be heard from it. What it looked like was an ascending shooting star.
Clear Wing twitched as it could feel it. That dragon had returned. It was so quick that it was gone before the synchro alarm were able to blare.
"Hehe. Things are about to change. For the Asura Kai likely for the worse. I can't wait. ", Clear Wing said.
The upwards shooting star pierced through the firmament like it was tissue paper.
In the king's chambers…
"Powerful spirit detected! Master bound! Activating emergency action! Auto monster materialization!", Burroughs said, urgently.
The shadow growled in fury as Flynn's gauntlet lit up and Doomkaiser Dragon was materialized. It roared with fury, whipping away the shadow. The shadow wasn't pushed back far, snarling at the zombie dragon.
"A weakling like you won't stop me at this stage!", the twin heads of the shadow roared in unison.
Both mouths opened up blasting Doomkaiser with dark energy blasts. The zombie dragon cried out in pain before wrapping its tail around the shadow's neck and strangeling it. He fired a blast of fire at the shadow who fired back with its other head. It was so overwhelming and powerful it sent Doomkaiser flying back with a pained roar.
Flynn snapped back to reality as he heard his ace monster's scream. The shadow grabbed Doomkaiser's neck with its hand as it started pulling on his wing with its other hand.
"D-Doomkaiser!", Flynn cried out as the shadow laughed mockingly.
"It looks like you'll lose this pathetic dead dragon as well! Just give up!", the shadow taunted.
"Calculating counter move…Must save master Flynn!", Burroughs said.
The shadow pushed Doomkaiser's head against the wall making a crater. However the dragon still struggled roaring. Even if he couldn't win…it wanted. It wanted to protect Flynn.
"Let's finish this.", Chaos King Archfiend said, walking over intending to help the shadow finish off Doomkaiser.
However suddenly Chaos King Archfiend was nothing, but a smear on the ground. The shadow felt claws digging into it from behind as something was prying it off Doomkaiser.
"Impossible w-what i-", the king questioned.
A roar could be heard as the shadow was completely pried off Doomkaiser and thrown at the wall next to the king, completely shattering it. Flynn was completely speechless wondering if he was hallucinating. However, the stinging pain of his signer mark going absolutely crazy and the pain on his open wounds was a reminder this was real. Before Flynn was none other than Stardust Dragon. It fired a beam of light at one of Flynn's chains, breaking it. Doomkaiser got up prying off the other one. The Samurai was finally able to move his arms again. Stardust Dragon glowed with blinding light healing Flynn, Issachar, and Doomkaiser. Though, Issachar was still unconscious.
The king looked absolutely livid as Flynn faced him with a piercing glare. Behind him the two dragons growled menacingly. Stardust Dragon shrunk into a tiny light like a glimmering star. That star changed into the shape of the card Stardust Dragon.
"Fine…! It looks like I will have to duel you after all!", the king said as he got up brandishing a golden duel disk littered with gems.
The shadow growled lowly turning to the king.
"You think I'll trust you? You haven't actually had to duel a day in your life. I will take the reins! Then, I will finally take him!", the shadow said.
The shadow already being so close to the king quickly slipped into the king's mouth before they could stop him. Veins appeared all over his body and his muscles grew.
"Ahh! This feels amazing!", the king said as his eyes turned golden and dark energy cracked around him.
It was so intense thunder rang out outside and the winds tore the castle asunder. Everyone scrambled as an earthquake racked Mikado causing debris to fall down to Tokyo.
"Haha! This is it! What I've been seeking! Ultimate power!", the king yelled.
The lightning raining down from the sky was an ominous purple and the sky was a murky blend of blue and black. The king's legs grew massively bending and twisting. Flynn gaped at just how high up the king was getting. He was becoming absolutely massive! A colossal shadow cast over Flynn and even Doomkaiser was sweating. The king grew a large serpentine tail taller than the castle. A new torso formed under the king with big gold insect eyes bulging out of it. Out from the torso were two muscular arms with razor sharp claws. From the shoulders sprouted two long thick necks with serpentine heads with razor sharp teeth and golden eyes. Along the neck were golden gems and the whole body was purple-ish red.
"Master, I detect a catastrophically strong spirit nearby! Scanning…Threat level 10 star.", Burroughs said.
"I know, Burroughs. Also thank you for before you saved me from becoming…that.", Flynn replied, completely pale.
"It was my pleasure, master Flynn.", Burroughs replied.
The massive figure looked down at Flynn who looked like an ant before him. Flynn looked down as he heard his gauntlet sync hastily raising it up and dematerializing Doomkaiser.
"Duel!", the two said with the king's voice being absolutely thunderous.

"Your bucket of bolts is still useless. Is this really the best you can muster against me, Jonathan?", Asuma questioned, however Jonathan's smirk didn't waver.
"I activate the effect of Power Tool Dragon. I will reveal three equip spells from my deck then you must randomly choose one of them to add to my hand. Mystic Armorment Roulette!", Jonathan said.
"How odd. Usually he would summon Ancient Sacred Wyvern in the situation. What possessed him to summon Power Tool Dragon?", Isabeau questioned.
He revealed three equip cards: United We Stand, Mage Power, and Broken Bamboo swords.
Jonathan randomly shuffled the three equip cards.
"I see…you're relying on luck as always…", Asuma said.
"It's more than luck. I have faith I will get the card I need. All of my fellows are counting on me to win and I won't let them down.", Jonathan replied.
"So you say. I will select the middle card.", Asuma said, as Jonathan looked at the card.
Jonathan revealed Broken Bamboo Sword.
"I win. That useless card doesn't give you any attack.", Asuma said as Jonathan returned the other two equip cards to his deck and Burroughs shuffled it.
"Are you so sure? Do you really think I would put a useless card in my deck Asuma? I equip Power Tool Dragon with Broken Bamboo Sword.", Jonathan said.

The drill on Power Tool Dragon's arm became Broken Bamboo Sword. Asuma's eyes widened when Jonathan's eyes flashed red as his signer mark returned. Isabeau winced when her mark started glowing brightly. Kaga was confused seeing this.
"I activate Golden Bamboo Sword! When I control a Bamboo Sword equip spell I can draw two cards! Now, I gain life points from Solemn Wishes!", Jonathan said.

As Jonathan touched the top card of his deck an immense wind built up. A mechanical dragon roar could be heard as Jonathan drew his next two cards.

Asuma gawked completely stunned having watched Burroughs shuffle the deck.
"What the hell?! What are the chances?", Asuma questioned.
"Damn. A gamble like that takes balls.", Kaga commented.
"Considering how much cards I mill, it wasn't as unlikely as you think. Now, I equip Power Tool Dragon with United We Stand and Mage Power!", Jonathan said.

Power Tool Dragon's eyes glowed a fierce crimson as it let out a mechanized roar. It was surrounded by golden energy as its power soared.

Asuma's eyes were wide in absolute disbelief at the ungodly amount of attack points.
"Oh my lord…", Isabeau gasped.
With Walter…
"I summon Brron and I attack your facedown with Silva! Silver Wind Slash!", Walter declared.
The facedown was easily crushed.
"I attack you directly with Brron!", Walter declared.
Giant Soldier of Stone LP 4000 - 1800 = 2200
"Now, I attack you directly with Red Dragon Archfiend! Absolute Power Force!", Walter declared as his dragon roared, thrusting his fist forward.

In room 5…
"I shall attack Goyo Guardian with Power Tool Dragon! Divine Charged Slash!", Jonathan declared as Asuma sweated.
"I don't understand how?!", Asuma questioned.
Jonathan just got god tier luck with those two draws on Golden Bamboo Sword.
"I've lost.", Asuma thought, accepting it as he closed his eyes.
Power Tool Dragon slashed Goyo Guardian with the bamboo sword which briefly turned golden. The dragon cut clean through Goyo Guardian creating a shockwave that forced Asuma to raise up his arms to guard.

"You've got to be shitting me…if it wasn't for Burden of the Mighty he would have one shot me.", Asuma thought as he sweated intensely.
"I attack you directly with Light End Dragon! Meggido Rain!", Jonathan declared.
Asuma was blasted with a beam of light from Light End Dragon's mouth sending him flying back.

"Asuma!", Jonathan called out, running up to him.
Before he got to him he got himself up glaring intensely at Jonathan.
"Asuma…just stop this nonsense. You can join our side.", Jonathan said.
Asuma looked away from Jonathan as he started walking away.
"You just don't understand, Jonathan.", Asuma replied as Jonathan tried to chase after him.
"Wait! What do you mean?!", Jonathan questioned.
"Don't follow me you idiot!", Asuma snapped harshly, turning to Jonathan.
Jonathan looked like a kicked puppy as trying to wrack his mind around it.
"You can't just talk to him like that, Asuma! Weren't you friends?!", Isabeau said angrily as Asuma gave them a cold stare.
"Not anymore.", Asuma said, before leaving them.
Jonathan frowned deeply. He didn't understand. He didn't understand anything. Why Asuma was resorting to such lows. Isabeau put a reassuring hand on his shoulder as he rested his head in his hands.
"I don't get it at all. Why do people resort to such ends?!", Jonathan questioned.
"If you're asking that question you must have had an easy life.", Kaga said, before strolling up the stairs casually.
"W-What?!", Jonathan questioned, before Isabeau grabbed his shoulders to calm him down.
"If you really want to know what Asuma is going through right now you should ask someone who would understand. How about Issachar?", Isabeau suggested.
"Issachar…? I guess…I can try. I must try.", Jonathan said as his cheeks were wet with tears.
"H-Hoy!", Walter said, breathing heavily as he ran up completely exhausted.
"Where were you?", Isabeau asked.
"T-They kept sending more guys to keep me there!", Walter replied as he was still catching his breath.
Isabeau patted his back sympathetically and Jonathan tried to smile.
"I'm glad you're alright, Walter. We should go find Flynn and Issachar now.", Jonathan said.
"Hoy, if you're gonna smile, do it right. Are you that unhappy to see me?", Walter replied.
"N-No that's not it's something else on my mind!", Jonathan replied as he waved his hands.
"Great. Because I have good news! A signer dragon! Hah!", Walter said as he flaunted Red Dragon Archfiend.
The two looked completely stunned.
"W-what?!", Jonathan questioned.
"I just showed him how awesome I am and he joined me! It was easy!", Walter gloated as he puffed up his chest.
"You've got to be kidding me…we almost died getting Power Tool Dragon and your dragon just let you have it?!", Isabeau questioned.
"I'm just that awesome I guess.", Walter replied as Jonathan and Isabeau had funny looks.
Isabeau's eyebrow twitched at the absolute absurdity of it. She face palmed and sighed. Jonathan was completely stunned having put his freedom on the line to get Power Tool Draw.
"I just hope it's that easy for me.", Isabeau said, sounding mentally exhausted.
They suddenly heard a massive rumbling which caught their attention. They all hastily rushed to the surface to avoid getting crushed by rubble.
On the surface…
Some fled from seeing the massive creature while some came to investigate and some…recorded it.
In Tokyo…
The bartender jumped as he saw the strange live video he was sent which he put on the screen at the Hunter's Association. To the people of Tokyo the video was massively sped up which greatly confused them. The video showed a lone man dueling a gigantic spirit.
In Shinjuku…
"H-Hey, Nikkari you have to see this!", a anxious Hunter said.
Nikkari and Manabu rushed out. Nanashi and Asahi looked at each other before quietly deciding they were going to obviously follow after them. They wore particularly devious smiles as they followed the adults against their wishes. What they saw left them completely speechless.
"Is that guy insane?!", Manabu questioned as he saw the screen.
"He really is Ryou…", Nikkari murmured with a funny.
"What is that?!", Asahi questioned.
"What are you two-!", Manabu said as Nikkari rubbed his head in annoyance.
"Damn. Flynn is really either extremely stupid or the ballest guy I've ever met.", Nanashi commented.
In Shibuya…
"Mr.Tayama you need to see this! I'm getting this footage from one of our guys right now!", an Asura Kai member said as he played the video for Tayama.
The Asura Kai member was far younger than any of the others seen so far. He looked to be in his teens. His skin was oddly tan for living without the sun. He had wavy white hair and blue eyes. He wore a yellow and black jacket over a more typical grey mafioso suit. He had long grey pants and dark colored shoes. Tayama's eyes were completely wide in disbelief.
"What the fuck is this?! Is this Super Sentai shit?", Tayama questioned.
"No, Mr.Tayama…this feed is coming live from Mikado.", the young Asura Kai member explained as his boss' eye twitched.
"I beg your pardon?", Tayama questioned.
"That's the Samurai you were talking about see!", the young Asura Kai member said as he pointed at Flynn who looked absolutely tiny on the footage.
Tayama rubbed his head as he felt the onset of a migraine.
"I need a drink. Go get me a cold one, Hallelujah.", Tayama ordered.
Hallelujah hastily bowed in respect to his boss.
"Yes, Mr.Tayama sir!", Hallelujah replied.
In Mikado…
"Prepare to face the wrath oof the sacred deck you foolishly recovered for me! I draw!", King Ahazuya said, his upper half was the same color as the rest of his body with his features now more reptilian.

"I activate the field spell Dragon Ravine!", King Ahazuya said as rocks suddenly stretched from the ground.

A flat rock formation appeared under Flynn like a platform bringing him high in the air. The unconscious Issachar was on a similar one near him. He was much more visible now to those recording. Holographic dragon's flew through the sky as decorations for the field spell. Nozomi and Skins widened as they finally found Flynn. The former couldn't help, but take a snapshot.
Flynn's fellows made it to the surface utterly confused about what was going on. Their mouths were wide open and Kaga seemed to be trying to find a good view of what was going on.
"I activate the first effect of my field spell allowing me to add one level 4 or lower Dragunity monster to my hand in exchange for discarding a card. I will add Dragunity Dux.", King Ahazuya said.
The card Ahazuya discarded was Dragunity Phalanx.
"Now, I summon Dux using his effect to target one level 3 or lower Dragunity monster in my graveyard to equip to itself. Also he gains 200 attack for each Dragunity card, but that won't matter.", King Ahazuya said.

"Now, I activate the effect of Gae Dearg. Once per turn I can add one level 4 or lower dragon or winged beast monster then I discard one monster of those types. I will add Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite to my hand.", King Ahazuya said.
He discarded the very same card he added.
"Now, I activate Zephyros' effect. When he's in the graveyard I can return one card I control to my hand and special summon him. When I do I take 400 points of damage as a price.", King Ahazuya said.

Flynn became pale when the rock under him dissolved away. He screamed as he felt his heart racing. He reached out Issachar who was still unconscious.
"Bucawk!", Flynn called out.
"You can't die now. We need you. I activate Dragon's Ravine once more.", King Ahazuya said.
Flynn took a breath of relief when the platform he was on returned again. Issachar grumbled still unconscious at least Flynn knew he was alive now. However, he was sleeping like the rock he slept on. He was laying on his back now disoriented. Thankfully he had such a death grip on his cards or they would have been sent flying. King Ahazuya laughed in amusement at this.
"For up here even a Lord like you looks like an insignificant ant desperately clinging to life. I hold your life in my hands as I always have carried the lives of those of Mikado on my shoulders.", King Ahazuya said, condescendingly as Flynn glared at him.
"You say that as if you were nurturing them. But, you had no real power until you unleashed your crown Samurai. The Monastery are the ones who have really been nurturing Mikado not you.", Flynn replied as he got to his feet.
This made the king hiss angrily.
"The Monastery are nothing more than thieves who stole what should have been my birthright! A commoner like you would have no idea of the conspiracies they've hid behind those clean white robes!", King Ahazuya replied, angrily.
"This is all so noisy…Don't you know us older folk need rest?", a familiar face said as he walked outside having heard all the ruckus.
His eyes widened in shock to see what was going.
"What on Earth?!", the older man questioned as he ran towards the scene with his gauntlet equipped.
Nozomi noticed the confused older man trying to get a good look at what was going on.
"Do you know what's going on, girl?", the older man asked.
"Girl? I'm 25?! It…looks to be a duel between Flynn and some massive spirit.", Nozomi replied.
"Oh ho! My grandson is dueling that gigantic spirit! He's always so bold! Makes me proud!", the older man said as Nozomi's eyes widened.
"Wait, you're Flynn's gramps?!", Nozomi questioned.
"That is sir Damien Mallory to you, girl.", Flynn's grandfather replied, making a tick mark form on Nozomi's head.
"I'm 25! I'm a woman, not a little girl!", Nozomi replied angrily.
Though Damien ignored them simply watching the duel and not seeming to care.
"This old man is a piece of work…it seems politeness does not run in the family.", Nozomi thought.
"Then, I shall activate Monster Reborn to return Phalanx to my services.", King Ahazuya said.

"T-This deck! It's Akira's but how can that be? That can't be Akira can it?! It doesn't sound like his voice.", Skins said.
"Then, I will set two cards facedown and end my turn.", King Ahazuya said.

"It's my turn then. I draw!", Flynn said, with an determined gaze Skins blinked as he imagined Ryou superimposed onto Flynn.

The card sent to the graveyard was Mezuki.
"Synchron just like Ryou?!", Skins questioned, he had Fuijwara on call who was equally astonished.
"I activate the effect of Unknown Synchron allowing me to special summon it when my opponent controls monsters and I don't once per duel.", Flynn said.

"Now, I tune Zombie Master with Unknown Synchron! Reawaken mystic relic from a time long past! Justice still needs you! Synchro summon! Level 5! Ally of Justice Catastor!", Flynn chanted.
"Not so fast! I activate my trap Bottomless Trap Hole! Your monster is destroyed and banished! What will you do now?", King Ahazuya countered.
He growled with annoyance to see Flynn wasn't perturbed by this.
"I suppose I shall just improvise then. I activate the effect of Mezuki. I can banish it from my graveyard to special summon a zombie monster from my graveyard. I choose Zombie Master.", Flynn replied.
"He still has his other tuner…", King Ahazuya growled.
"It seems he's using zombies the Unknown Synchron must be some crazy coincidence or…God forbid fate.", Fujiwara said.
"I tune Plaguespreader Zombie with Zombie Master! Ruler of darkness slumbering within the depths! Rise up once more to reclaim your kingdom! Synchro summon! Level 6! Revived King Ha Des!", Flynn chanted.

"I activate the effect of Plaguespreader Zombie returning a card from my hand to the top of my deck to special summon him. When he leaves the field he's banished.", Flynn said.

"Hoy, what in blazes is he doing?! Did he just make a misplay?", Walter questioned.
"Flynn must have some sort of plan. Perhaps it's insurance in case his opponent uses something like Mirror Force.", Isabeau surmised.
"I tune Plaguespreader Zombie with Revived King Ha Des!", Flynn said.
Those who knew his deck gaped in disbelief. Flynn didn't possess a level 8 synchro monster, right?
Flynn took in a deep breath as he grabbed hold of a card from his extra deck. The wind changed around him from fierce to confronting. Right now, Flynn felt nostalgic for something he couldn't recall. He believes the feeling is like reuniting with an old friend.
"Majestic dragon, awaken from your long slumber your power is needed once again to protect the innocent! Spread your brilliant silver wings and strike down your enemies like a vibrant shooting star! Synchro summon! Level 8! Stardust Dragon!", Flynn chanted.
The king looked around in shock when the wind was no longer controlled by him. Instead the wind fell under Flynn's control circling around him like a tornado. Through the synchro rings what looked like a shooting star flew through them. Out from the light emerged Stardust Dragon who roared fiercely. The king stumbled as a powerful wind now blew against him.
"You…!", the serpentine heads growled.
"What is the meaning of this?! I have become the master of the wind!", King Ahazuya questioned.
"Not anymore.", Flynn said with a smirk.
Everyone was shocked to see Stardust Dragon. Most of those in Tokyo have only heard about it. Most people in Mikado didn't even know of the dragon. But, it gave off this comforting and protective presence.
"When did Flynn get Stardust Dragon?! How much did we miss?!", Walter questioned.
"You don't suppose he just came to him like Red Dragon Archfiend.", Isabeau replied, making Walter give her a funny look.
In Shinjuku…
Nanashi reeled back as his head throbbed. It felt odd seeing 'that deck' being used like this. When he saw Flynn with Stardust Dragon he felt like he was seeing a ghost. His mind superimposed Ryou's image onto Flynn. Judging by Nikkari's expression his did the same.
"Nanashi, are you alright?!", Asahi questioned.
"I'll be fine...", Nanashi replied.
Nikkari briefly looked over to Nanashi wondering why he was having such a reaction. Unless…Nanashi has been seeing Ryou in his dreams despite never seeing him before then. That meant it was very possible he was like Flynn. He certainly wasn't Kiyoharu or Kenji. Could he be…?
In Mikado…
"Now, I activate Book of Life allowing me to special summon one zombie monster from my graveyard and I can banish one monster in yours. I will revive Ha Des and banish Dragunity Phalanx.", Flynn said as the king scowled.

"Then, I will set a card facedown.", Flynn said.

"I will attack your Gae Dearg with Ha Des! Underworldly Tyranny!", Flynn declared.
"Haha, fool! I use Mirror Force destroying all your attack position monsters! I win!", King Ahazuya countered.
Ha Des' energy blast was reflected back and launched back at it and Stardust Dragon. For some strange reason the serpentine heads looked extremely alarmed.
"No…", Jonathan said as he and the other prentices became worried.
"Looks like this is curtains for him. He extended himself too far. ", Kaga said, dismissively closing her eyes.
"He doesn't have Battle Fader either…Ahhh! This can't be it!", Walter said angrily.
"Flynn…", Isabeau said, full of concern.
"He's right! Let's get out of here! He'll probably come after us next!", Hunter 2 yelled.
"Heh…", Skins laughed, confusing everyone around him.
"What's with you?", Hunter 1 questioned.
"I activate the effect of Stardust Dragon! When a card or effect is activated that would destroy cards I control I can tribute him to negate the activation and destroy that card! Victim Sanctuary!", Flynn said as he put his hands together in prayer.
Stardust Dragon flew in front of Ha Des shielding him with his wings that glittered with holy light. The dragon took the attack saving Ha Des who then fired another blast nailing Gae Dearg's rider causing him to fall off and both the rider and steed to fade away.
Ahazuya LP 3600 - 50 = 3550
"I see…so his dragon protects his other monsters. Sounds like a useful card.", Kaga commented.
"I end my turn.", Flynn said.
"Well, at least I got rid of that annoying dragon!", King Ahazuya boasted, however Flynn only smirked.
"During the end phase if Stardust Dragon's effect was activated this turn…like Lord Jesus himself he rises again! Now arise! Stardust Dragon!", Flynn said as he put his hand in the air.
The king growled in annoyance as a pillar of light shot out from behind Flynn. From the light came a spiraling tornado which dispersed when Stardust Dragon emerged from it outstretching his wings. It flew down in front of Flynn letting out a roar.
"Haha! Stardust Dragon and Ryou are exactly the same! Stubborn idiots who love trying to protect everyone!", Skins said.
"That kinda sounds like Flynn…", Nozomi said with a funny expression.
"That is just like Lord Flynn. What an amusing monster he's acquired.", Damien replied.
"I won't submit to you just like Stardust Dragon!", Flynn said.

In case you were wondering, yes Battle B2 is playing during Flynn vs King Ahazuya. I was listening to it while writing this. After 40 chapters Flynn finally has the Yugioh monster that perfectly represents him. Also in case you haven't noticed Stardust Dragon = Masakado.
