Author's Note:…..Now I know what you guys are thinking…what is his excuse this time? Well, my laptop that I had for about 11 years had finally gone bye bye (RIP) coupled that with a lot of things to do at my job and a few real situations but thankfully we are back!

And to make it all up to you guys, at last the Goddess of Monsters will make her appearance!

Also, I forgot to mention in the last chapter that the song Moll and Lora sung to Kong was from Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster called Happiness. Should be on Youtube.

Chapter 13: Mothra.

Captain Gordon thought of himself as a patient man; he trusts those under his command to do their job and report in…

…and now that patience has worn thin.

"Anything yet?"

"No sir," replied one of the crew looking over the sensors. "No replies from either Hernandez, Yeager or any of the others."

Gordon sighed while rubbing his temple.

"I should have let Kazama and the rest of the M squad onboard instead."

"Don't worry, Captain," Miyuki said, standing by his side. "If they haven't contacted us yet, they must have a good reason for it."

"Well, I'll give them another hour and if we don't hear anything else I'll send in another party," Gordon stated.

"Sir!" cried one of the crew mates on the monitors, causing Gordon and Miyuki to look to him. "Our sensors just detected a discharge of energy far off from the island!"

"What kind of energy?" Gordon asked.

The crewmen looked at the monitors trying to get a proper reading. "Some form of radiation, but not on any wavelength we've seen. I can seem to identify as of yet."

"Radiation?" Miyuki pondered. "Captain, do you think it's...?

Gordon rubbed his chin.

"Could be. Maybe not."

Captain Gordon walked to the crew man and looked at his monitor.

"Is there anything heading toward our position? Say, something bigger than a boat?"

The Crewmen typed away activating the Gotengo's scanning systems.

"Sir, there appears to be two large unidentified objects, one following the other. Seems to be on course for our position."

"Airborne?"

"No sir, Looks like they're swimming. According to the ship's readings the first one should make landfall by sunrise."

Gordon frowned as he walked back to his command chair.

"Forget sending a land party, the moment we find out what's coming we're making contact."

Miyuki looked upon the main monitor with the image of the island, hoping that their friends were safe.

"Looks like the moon is getting ready to set," Gabara snarked while walking in front of Zeke alongside Gaira. "And so far, the only Yeager I see is you."

"Keep your eyes open and your mouth shut," Zeke ordered. "You'll either alert our presence to them, or the creatures of the jungle."

Soon one of the pure Titans in front of them tripped over a down tree, landing face first on the ground.

Gabara rolled his eyes.

"Right, and those things are as quiet as a mouse."

The Titan rose back up and followed the others in front just as the other half followed close behind the three Shifters.

"Well, at least I see the appeal of using them, at least they don't talk back," Gabara remarked with his trademark cruel smile. "Now if they could talk, I bet they'd be saying, 'OH MY GOD WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME? WHY AM I EATING MY OWN MOTHER!'

Gabara was then tackled by Zeke with his hands grasped tightly around Gabara's throat, all the while Zeke showing an enraged expression. This caused the Titans to stop in their tracks along with Gaira.

"Let me repeat to you on what Nelson said," Zeke spoke in a calm but strict tone.

"You are expendable now that Eren is here. I can make due with Gaira alone and the only reason I haven't killed you yet is that unlike Gaira, you don't think with your stomach."

Gabara quickly rejected his fear and glared back at Zeke.

"Then you still need me, especially since we still don't have Eren. Yet."

A low growl was heard through Zeke's mouth. Then with angered scoff he released his grip from Gabara. He stood up.

"Make no mistake, Gabara," Zeke started while Gabara rubbed his throat. "You're nearing the end of my tolerance. Continue this anymore and-"

Then suddenly one of the smaller Titans was swiftly pulled into the forest by a long red appendage.

Gabara jumped straight up after that.

"What the hell was that?!"

"That would be one of the kaiju that was gaining on us," Gaira responded.

Zeke and Gabara turned to Gaira already licking his lips.

Zeke narrowed his eyes "How did you know that?"

"I smelled them coming."

"You knew one them was nearby and didn't tell us?!" Gabara shouted at the cannibal.

"I was too busy watching you kill each other." Gaira chuckled. "Also, we should dodge from our right."

As Gaira jumped out of the way, Zeke followed after pushing Gabara just as another tongue shot out and nearly got them. Very soon the source of the appendage suddenly revealed itself, almost out of thin air.

"A Chameleon? Are you kidding me?!" Shouted Gabara.

Very soon another one appeared, coming from behind them. A third and fourth one appeared, coming into view while the fourth was busy chewing on the Titan that it captured.

"How sweet, green meat," Gaira drooling as the Giant Chameleons started surrounding them.

"No way I'm going to be lizard meat!" Gabara yelled.

He and Gaira were about to transform when Zeke grabbed their hands.

"Save your strength," Zeke said calmly. "They can deal with them."

He let out a loud yell, causing all the Pure Titans to snap out of their trance and immediately started attacking the four giant Chameleons.

Five Titans already started overwhelming one of the Chameleons while the second Giant Chameleon fired one of its horns at them, successfully impaling two of them, but just like its former it was devoured by the oncoming Titans.

The third and fourth Giant Chameleons made a b-line to their pack members while the fourth one spat out its food, which was a bad mistake as the nearly pulverized Titan was quickly healing and jumped on top of the kaiju that tried to eat it, beginning to bite its back.

The third Chameleon turned at the sound of distress from its comrade, thus allowing a Titan to jump at it and clamp its jaws around its neck. Very soon the horde of Titans killed the first two Chameleons and started joining their fellow Titans. They started attacking the last two and doing the same thing they did with the last ones. They ripped, clawed, and teared at the scales of their attackers now turned victims.

Zeke smiled proudly at this while Gaira was smacking his lips at the served limbs of the Chameleons being ripped up. Gabara was a little impressed, if not a little terrified.

"Well…they certainly changed from being Kaiju chow," Gabara remarked.

Zeke nodded. "Yes, well. They just need a little change."

The ground shook slightly as the mighty Kong continued to lead the way. As they group followed there was a shared sense that they were being watched by the other inhabitants of this island, but unlike before the many animals dared not make their move on them.

It would make sense if the reason being was Kong himself, but if they asked Dayo she would tell them it had something to do with the aura surrounding the twins.

She could feel it the more and more as they approached... whatever it was they were approaching.

The same could not be said for Eren, for many times as they ventured Dayo looked back at him. She noticed him sweating and constantly rubbing his arms as if walking in the cold. His eyes constantly shifting left and right.

Eren caught Dayo looking at him.

"What?" He asked. "What are you looking at me for?"

Dayo turned away from him.

"Nothing, just making sure nothing is following us."

"Hey, maybe ask Joe if we're there yet?" Randy said, stopping for a second. "My feet are killing me."

"Randy's right," Armin said. "We've been walking for three hours, how far off are we?"

It was at this moment Kong stopped with Sanda nearly bumping into him. Sanda walked to Kong's side thinking he saw an enemy, but after looking ahead in Kong's visual direction. What he saw chilled him to the bone.

In the distance lay a mountain, with what looked like a gigantic staircase made of stone at its base that crawled its way up the face.

But in front of all that was area littered with the bones of Kong's kind. Bleached by years of exposure to the sun, vines growing along their surface. Some skulls had pterosaur nests inside their eye sockets and between rib bones. Many various insects of great size scattered among the skeletons.

Remnants of what looked like massive, primitive spears and flint knives stuck out of some skeletons.

It was true that the group have seen their share of death before, but seeing this whole area to them was like feeling the weight of genocide.

"Is...is this a graveyard?" Jean asked feeling the cold dread of the whole area.

"No," Moll and Lora both said. "A battlefield."

Jean didn't even try to react to them talking in unison again the feel of area kept him quiet.

"So, this is what became of them," Dayo whispered sadly as tears fell from her eyes.

Sanda looked to Kong. He saw the ape keeping a calm face but they eyes showed great sorrow.

Kong has seen this site almost every day, but the memories never faded when he came here.

His mind reverted back to when he was little, when the elder gray furred ape found him in the egg chamber. This old Kong was the guardian of Mothra and patriarch of his clan, the Temple Clan. He took little Kong in, teaching him to defend himself against the many dangers of the island. Over many years, Kong made himself a natural member of these wise gorillas, adopted into a new family.

By the time he was considered a teenager by his kind's standards, his clan appointed him as a warrior and defender of the temple. Not too long after that, the attacks began to increase.

The savage clan of Kongs came again and again over the course of months, trying to get inside the mountain temple. They didn't get far, but their tactics got more and more brutal, with no signs of their numbers going down.

One dark day however, the savages outnumbered Kong and his fellows. Fists, spears, rocks and lightning bolts flew in all directions as the Temple Clan fought back. Ape against ape, the battlefield thundered with the sounds of warfare.

Against all odds, Kong noticed that one of the enemies had managed to break through the flank and was making his way up the stone steps. In adrenaline induced fury, Kong fought through the sea of fur and flesh to reach the stairway. Pushing and leaping he struggled.

Finally, he managed to get free and burst his way up the mountain. Before making it halfway up, the intruder made its way inside the entrance. Pulling all his strength, Kong pushed forward.

Running past the gateway his feet trampled over dead bodies that were once temple guards, darting directly for Mothra's chamber. His fears were realized once he got there.

On the chamber floor was the gray furred corpse of his mentor, decapitated. The look of terror still stuck on his face.

Behind the body, in front of the massive egg, was the culprit. His face covered in blood red war paint. As the brute raised a large stone over his head, a sense of deja vu came over Kong.

It was the same ape from the beach, the one who murdered his father. Same scent, same face. And now he was attempting to shatter the shell of the divine egg.

Roared as he charged, tackling the evil one to the ground. By the time his adversary knew what happened he was being beaten by angry fists. It began to devolve into a flurry of punches and bites. The older one fought like a demon, but Kong had deep anger and youth on his side.

The temple shook as the fight stretched on. The tide turned when the Savage grabbed hold of Kong's throat with his bloodied hands. Kong struggled against his foe, but was equally matched.

Out of the corner of his eye Kong noticed a loose stone next to the large one his opponent held previously. Thinking quickly, he reached for it. Right before the last bit of air in his lungs was worn out, he caught hold of the rock and slammed it into his attacker's right leg, breaking his femur.

The savage lost balance as he screamed in pain. Then Kong used the same stone to bash his enemy's jaw hard enough to knock him onto the ground.

Wasting no time Kong went over to the larger stone, grabbing it with both hands. As the brute struggled to pick himself up, Kong lifted the rock high and slammed it into the other's skull. Finally, the fight was over.

The exhausted victor gasped for air, fur drenched in blood. It was over; His goddess was safe, both families avenged. After catching his breath, he stumbled over to his mentor's head. Kong picked it up and placed his hand over it, closing its eyes.

His grief would have to wait. Now he had to check in on his brothers fighting below.

Kong left the chamber to make his way outside, realizing something was off the closer he got to the open air.

It was way too quiet.

He made his way down the steps as the sun made its way up. There was still no sound. He wasn't even halfway down before he noticed that the mass of bodies below weren't moving.

What he saw at the bottom of the stairway was a massive stockpile of carcasses, friend and foe alike.

Nothing but death for over a mile.

Kong called out into the distance over and over, but none answered.

That was the last time he ever saw anyone like him.

Now Sanda understood why Kong was so upset. The massive primate was the last of his kind. Sanda's Titan form was so coincidentally similar to Kong's species that it jogged up a primal desire for family.

"Are there any left?" Mikasa asked trying to hide her own feeling of dread.

"No," Moll shook her head.

"The only member of Kong's race was the previous guardian," Lora added. "Now Kong is alone."

"How do you two know that?" Eren asked trying to look away from the area.

The twins held each other's hand as they both answered:

"We saw in his mind."

Sanda looked down in gloom at the bodies. He could barely remember what happened to his own family, and felt sorry that Kong had to lose his like this.

He gently put his hand on Kong's foot in comfort. The ape looked down, seeing the look of understanding from Sanda.

Kong nodded and turned away to continue onward.

"Good," Randy sighed in relief. "We're now entering the scary and depressing graveyard. Hopefully we don't run into any Zombie Kaiju or something."

"What's a Zombie?" Armin asked.

"Oh boy, do I have some stories to tell you."

With Kong by them, the group was safe from the many smaller creatures that lived among the giant bones. Eren lagged farther behind as they reached closer to the steps.

Something inside him said that this was a bad idea, as if he was crossing into a forbidden space.

No, he said to himself. I need answers.

Not letting gut feelings control him he marched on, forcing himself forward. For every ten feet he climbed it felt like he was walking against a current.

Higher and higher, it was like he was fighting against his own body. His brow sweat, his heart racing, his breath growing thin. Right when he was about to explode in agony the twins spoke.

"We are here," Moll and Lora said at once.

"Ok, now even I am getting a little tired and freaked out about that!" Randy remarked.

The group looked at the cave entrance, then at Kong who just stood there.

"So," Armin started. "Do we go-?"

"Someone's coming," Mikasa said in alarm.

She pulled out her blades. Eren, Armin, and Jean followed suite just as they saw figures coming towards them.

They were about to attack but Dayo stood in their way.

"Wait, don't!" Dayo said, "They're friends!"

Very soon ten people started walking out of the gateway. As the group looked at them, they noticed these people were Elias, just like Dayo.

On their skin were patterns of blue and yellow paint, in each arm was a woven satchel. All nine of them where as young as Dayo, while the one in front wearing a white feathered crown was the oldest, around fifty or so in age.

Sanda was unsure what to do. He looked at Kong but he didn't react to them as threats.

"Uh, Dayo," Randy asked. "Who are those guys?"

"I knew it!" Eren shouted, glaring at Dayo.

"Eren!" Armin cried out.

He tried to calm Eren down, but he was ignored. Eren stomped toward Dayo, slowly lifting his blades.

"You've been leading us to a trap! All this time you were lying, weren't you?!"

Moll and Lora immediately stood in-between Eren and Dayo.

"Stop."

Eren was going to argue, but noticed their eyes glowing a slightly blue. Immediately, his arm went back down and withdrew his blades.

"Eren!" Jean shouted. "What was this about?"

It was then he and the others took notice of the twin's glowing eyes.

"Uh, do you two know that your eyes are glowing a little?" Randy asked.

Instead of answering him they simply turned and looked back at Dayo and the other Elias.

"Dayo," Moll started.

"Please explain," Lora finished.

Dayo smiled.

"These are my friends. For years we've been trying to find a way to free our island and end the suffering that has started so long ago. They were meant to hide here at the temple, waiting until the rest of the resistance joined up."

"And they are...where exactly?" Mikasa asked.

"Dead," Dayo said with a frown. "The Marelyans caught them."

Everyone was silent. She continued.

"As soon as I found Lora, I alerted them of this and we've planed, to venture in the jungle together, but I grew impatient. Luck was on our side Moll followed."

"Indeed," said the Elder. "Sadly, we could not get everyone to join us. Many were devoured by the jungle beasts along the way, but it was worth the risk."

The Old man walked up to Moll and Lora.

"This is the moment my family has long since waited for."

He went to his satchel and pulled out two necklaces, each one possessing the same circled cross. One colored silver and the other gold. He held the silver one to Moll and the gold to Lora.

"This belonged to your ancestors, passed down from priestess to priestess. My family has been holding on to them for this very day."

Ever since they sang to Kong and looked into his mind, they felt a strange kinship and it grew stronger. Not only from being near this cave but by looking at the necklaces. They looked at one another not even surprised about the blue glow in their eyes. With a nod they gently took the necklaces and made their way into the cave.

Sanda was about to reach for Moll, feeling worried about how strange she and her sister were acting, but then she looked back at him and smiled. He didn't have to read her mind to tell him everything was going to be ok.

As Dayo and other Elias enter, Randy started to follow but not before looking at the rest.

"Well, might as well see what's inside, right?"

Jean looked at Mikasa. He nodded to her, and she nodded back. They looked at Eren, shaking slightly. Armin walked up to him.

"Eren? Can you-?"

"I...I think we...I..." He said struggling.

Eren tried to say something. He wanted to see what all this was about but something told him not to go. And the drum was getting louder.

"Eren," Mikasa said.

She grabbed his hand. Eren flinched, surprised. He smiled a little, then noticed her slightly trembling. She was still afraid, but she was fighting it.

"We go in together," She said firmly.

Armin grabbed his other hand and helped Mikasa guide Eren inside. Jean watched them go.

At first, he was feeling jealously, but seeing Mikasa actually getting near Eren means she was getting better, and that was good for him.

After Jean went in Sanda followed. Instead of following them Kong chose to stand guard. He looked back out into the jungle, keeping an eye out for any signs of danger.

After a while he spotted something in the distance; red smoke rising. He took a sniff. No fire… and he could hear the beat of a single drum.

Kong snarled at the sound and he started banging on his chest. He ran down the steps and out into the boneyard.

Sanda noticed that Kong wasn't following them. He looked around for him, but quickly rejoined the group.

What got Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, and Randy's attention was that as they ventured forward, on each side of the stone wall, were images carved into it. Each image portrayed humans in old tribal clothing, familiar and unfamiliar monsters.

A scene in the rock portrayed what looked like a body of water, teeming with what looked like centipedes that were biting one another. After that were various Kaiju brawling. Above each image was the same cross symbol.

"Wow, too bad Miyuki isn't here to see this," Randy remarked.

"What are these?" Armin awed at the stone cravings.

"The ancient history of our people," Dayo smiled. "And what was once before."

"Before what?" Eren asked not looking at the cravings.

"The great mistake," Moll and Lora both answered.

As they continued, the carvings grew more and more elaborate. A moth was finally shown, presumably Mothra, hurling what looked like some kind of thunderbolts at something. Whatever she was attacking wasn't clear as huge chunk of the wall was missing in that spot, possibly knocked loose from years of erosion.

The human figures in the story began to build villages and farms as the giant monsters remained underground.

What horrified the onlookers was an image of a large skeletal creature tearing Mothra to pieces, causing the people to flee. The last picture was a fleet of boats sailing into the distance.

Soon the group spotted light at the end of the tunnel. The opening was shrouded by a blanket of vines.

The Twins were the first to pass through and they saw a familiar sight; A great grove with a large variety of bright flowers, grasses and willows. A plethora of glowing and brightly colored insects fluttered freely.

Light poured in from a large crevice on the ceiling, bouncing off tiny crystals in the rock to shine a ray of sunlight into the chamber.

In the corner, a single Kong skull sat atop a pile of large rocks. Sanda figured this must be some kind of memorial to the last guardian.

In the middle of it all an ancient pedestal with a row of stairs leading up to the top.

But what caught their eyes was what was resting upon the structure, untouched by time...

A large blue egg.

When Dayo entered she gasped at the sight of it, tears fell from her eyes.

"Mosura," she whispered as she fell to her knees.

She bowed before the egg.

When the Elias came in, they too looked upon the egg in wonder and all joined Dayo in bowing before it.

Soon enough the others arrived. They looked at the area and took notice of the egg. While the others were in awe at it, Eren was filled with great fear at the mere sight of it. Every fiber of his being was telling him to leave at once. But with Mikasa and Armin, his friends, holding his hands he willed himself to stay put.

"Well, this is impressive," Jean started. "But….now what?"

Moll grabbed Lora's right hand as they looked back at their associates who are in shock that their eyes were glowing bright blue once more.

"Now," They said in tandem. "We end the suffering."

The two made their way to the ancient staircase, matching each other's step. At the same time the Elias stood up and dug into their satchels, pulling out a different musical instrument.

"What?!" Jean shouted.

Two were given small drums, The elder held a flute, and Dayo was given a small violin while the rest stood between the others. Their eyes gazing at the egg.

Sanda immediately tried to follow Moll, but Dayo stood in his way.

"Don't worry, they'll be fine."

"But wh-wh-what are th-th-they doing?!" Sanda asked.

Dayo looked as the twins continued walking towards the egg.

Soon enough each of the Elias started playing their instruments. Dayo followed just as the twins reached their destination. They looked up at the egg, their hands still clamped in each other's while their free hands touched the symbol on their necklace.

As they listened to the melody echo in the caverns, the twins stood a little confused.

"What...are we supposed to do exactly?" Moll asked.

"I don't know," Lora said. "Dayo?"

Dayo looked nervous.

"I thought you would just...know?" she said embarrassed.

"You drag us through a monster infested forest and expect us to just MAGICALLY know what to do?!" Lora called out.

The outburst caused the natives to pause their orchestra for a moment. Moll turned her sister around and leaned into her ear.

"Look, you need to stay calm," she whispered. "We just need to figure something out."

"Alright," said Lora. "But what?"

"Let's see," Moll replied. "Mothra is a goddess, right? Maybe we should say a prayer."

Lora thought for a moment. Suddenly, she remembered the first moment she saw the Elias behind that fence.

"I think I Know one!" She said, "from back in the camp! Here, I'm thinking about it now..."

Quickly, Moll closed her eyes and focused on her sister's thoughts.

The twins turned to face the egg. Their minds linked as they sang:

(And now readers it is time for the moment you have been waiting for. As for which song I'm picking, well it was a hard one but I'm going for the Mothra song from Godzilla King of the Monsters: Vocalized by Youtuber Elsie Lovelock. Check it out)

Moll and Lora: Mosura ya Mosura. (Mothra oh Mothra)

Donfan kasakuyan indo muu. (If we were to call for help)

Rusuto uiraando, hanba hanbamuyan, randa banunradan (Over time, over sea, like a wave)

Tounjukanraa (You'd Come)

Kasaku yaanmu (Our guardian angel)

The blue Egg that sat there as long as anyone could remember, never moving, never having a speck of dust or sign of age upon it, suddenly started emitting a pulsing glow, like a heartbeat.

At the same time, all the ancient carvings on the cave symbols glowed the same color.

The Elias that stood guard started dancing a dance that has not been used for centuries 'till now. The others took notice that the Elias's paint started glowing blue, as well as their eyes.

Suddenly, a swam of butterflies with their wings aglow emerged from the flowers and circled everyone, half of them flew up through the opening above.

As Kong continued his vigilance, he took notice of the butterflies flying through the sky. And for the first time, in a long time, he felt at peace.

The Marley Base on Infant Island…

The Elias people continued moving the rubble and corpses from the ground at the command of their so-called saviors.

A young girl dropped a piece of rubble as she looked up in the sky. One of the elders was about to walk up to her when he two took notice of the flock of insects above. Soon all the others ceased their toil and looked up.

"HEY!" shouted Cook. "What the hell are you savages doing?!"

He walked up to one of them and pulled on her long hair but she made no cry of pain or reaction.

"Are you listening!? Listen... To...Me?"

When Cook looked at her face, he saw her eyes glowing blue.

Cook followed her gaze and looked up and saw to his shock a swarm of butterflies forming a symbol above their heads.

An encircled cross.

Cook looked around and saw all the Elias gathering around the female and the old man. All with their eyes glowing and arms raised to the sky.

Mosura ya Mosura. (Mothra oh Mothra)

"Commander Nelson!" Cook cried out. "COMMANDER!"

In the Jungles of Infant Island...

Donfan kasakuyan indo muu. (If we were to call for help)

Zeke fell on his knees, covered his ears as he grunted in pain, as if he could hear a loud sound.

"What's wrong with him?" Gaira asked.

"As long as he's not giving us orders right now, I don't care," Gabara remarked.

"Stop it," Zeke grinned his teeth. "Whatever that is, someone stop it!"

New Eldia….

Rusuto uiraando, hanba hanbamuyan, randa banunradan (Over time, over sea, like a wave)

"Ymir what's wrong?" Histoira cried out as her wife held onto her head.

Her face was sweating, and she was breathing rapidly.

"What is going on?" Ymir cried, "Who's singing? And why does it hurt!?"

Marley…

Tounjukanraa (You'd Come)

"Pieck!"

Porco ran to his comrade as she collapsed to the floor. Normally this would happen after long periods of time as the Cart Titan, but ever since the loss of the Colossal, Female, and Armored Titans she hadn't seen action for a long time.

And now seeing her like this was a mystery. Why is she holding her head in pain like that?

The Tyber estate…

Lara screamed in pain as she held her head falling to the floor.

"Sister!" Willie ran to her. "What's wrong?!"

"The song!" She cried. "STOP THAT SONG!"

Rusuto uiraando, hanba hanbamuyan, randa banunradan (Over time, over sea, like a wave)

Eren's head was in agony! Why did they have to sing?! Can't they stop?! THEY NEED TO STOP!

Tounjukanraa (You'd Come)

While Eren was in inner turmoil, Jean, Randy, Sanda, Armin, and Mikasa watched in wonder at what was happening, so much so that Armin and Mikasa didn't realize that they let go. After feeling his hands free, Eren covered his ears and ran out of the cave without anyone noticing.

Kasaku yaanmu (Our guardian angel)

Moll and Lora raised their grasped hands up towards the egg, letting go of each other as they placed their hands upon the egg. As soon as they made contact with it, the glow on the egg, the wall, their eyes and upon the Elias ended.

The two removed their hands from the egg, leaving a glowing hand imprint on it. They too faded after a short time.

CRACK!

A single crack appeared where the handprint was and soon it spread across the egg until it reached the top and ceased. Everyone held their breaths at what could happen next.

Then, suddenly emerging from the top a long, brown, worm-like creature erupted from the egg. In front of its mouth are two short tusks. It had two small, blue eyes.

Cheernt!

Dayo and her fellow Elias were in tears of joy at the sight of their goddess now at last awakened, the others where a little confused.

"Ok," Randy scratched his head. "I didn't actually think it would really be a worm...thing."

"A worm?" Jean face palmed, "We risked the mission for a worm!"

Moll and Lora stared up in awe at the Larva and it-no, she-looked down upon them.

Cheernt!

Mothra lowered her head gently towards the twins. They raised their hands to it and touched her beak.

'Thank you.'

Moll and Lora smiled and bowed their heads as Mothra moved hers away from them. The insect looked down at the group, but her eyes focused on one individual.

Mikasa felt the creature was looking right at her. Her eyes spied one of the butterflies flying towards her. Feeling no danger from it she allowed it to gently rest on her forehead and then it vanished, but a wave of calmness overcame her. Her mind felt at peace.

And then when she thought of Ghidorah, Mikasa realized…the pain was gone. She looked back at Mothra and the worm nodded her head.

'You are free of the pain'

When she heard those words in her head, Mikasa cried with joy.

"Mikasa!" Jean ran to her as soon as he heard her. He placed his hands on her shoulder.

"Are you okay?"

Feeling overjoyed she grabbed Jean and kissed him on the mouth, completely shocking their friends.

"I never felt so happy!"

Jean could not utter a single word after that….in fact, you could say his brain had stopped working.

"Mikasa?!" Armin shouted, he never seen her act like this. "What's going on?"

"I'm healed!" She smiled. "Armin, Eren I'm-"

Then her joy turned to worry as she and finally the rest took noticed that Eren is not with them.

"Eren?"

Eren kept running, despite the song ending he kept running. He kept running until he couldn't run anymore.

As Eren took a couple of breaths, he finally looked at his surroundings. He was

back at the Kong Graveyard, beneath a massive ribcage.

"Hello, Eren."

Eren quickly turned around and saw a man sitting on top of one of the skulls. This man looked familiar to him, but why? It was then as he looked at the man's appearance, Eren knew who that was.

"It's about time we talked," Zeke said. "But first, you didn't happen to hear a song. A song playing in your head, did you?"

Meanwhile back at Marely at this very moment.

Just as it came in her dreams, the beautiful song went away. Just as it was making her feel better after today's event.

She looked outside her window and up at the moon, the young girl sighed in frustration over these feelings, she is supposed to be a warrior, not acting like a sad little girl.

"Come on Gabi snap out of it!" She said to herself as she went back to bed.

"Your Motherland still needs you," Gabi said to herself before shutting her eyes. 'No matter what those damn bugs say."

As Gabi drifted to sleep a small Butterfly the size of a fairy landed softly at her window's edge.

Author's Note: GASP! You might be saying. What does this mean? BEING ON THE FAN THEOIRES! Now Mothra has awaken, Zeke has found Eren and we this story might have 2 or 3 chapters left, we are nearing the end folks and I pray that it won't be another two months before we get another chapter up.

Till then have a happy Super Bowl today and a Happy Valentines day tomorrow!
