A lone female figure sprinted through the night. As she ran, the sound of howls and the scraping of claws echoing behind her. She should have known better than to think those idiots would have heeded her threats and left her alone. No of course not, instead they sized her up, hoping that they could intimidate her into doing what they wanted. They'd been harassing her for years, crude remarks and futile attempts at flirting that she pretended not to hear. But tonight was different, they weren't lazing about out in the open, instead, they were waiting for her in the shadows of the alley behind her building. Maybe the light of the nearly full moon had made them bold, but they knew that she couldn't defeat them all, and she knew it too, so when they cornered her, she struck the nearest one and then did what her instincts were screaming at her to do, run. She knew taking the streets this late was risky, she'd be too visible in her red jacket and jeans and there was no one on the road to call over. She couldn't go home either, they may know her route home but they didn't know her address and she wasn't going to risk being followed. No, she tore into the treeline and towards the one place that she felt was a second home, for it's within its concrete walls that she felt powerful, safe, and at home. When she left the cover of the trees, she pulled her red hood up and strolled down the deserted roads and up to the familiar glass doors, grabbing the smooth cold handle with a tug.

Robby groaned and stretched his aching muscles, it had been a long day of patching up the bruises from his fight with his father. Kreese had helped clean up before heading out, leaving Robby to lock up. He'd checked his messages, social media, and even his emails before finally clicking youtube and watching a few videos before he closed his phone and went back to tossing and turning, trying to relax. He opened the door to the main part of the dojo, itching to train but he knew that with how sore he was now, it wasn't a good idea. He watched the nearly full moon reflect its pale light on a pile of broken glass as he shut the door, before curling up on his cot.

The sound of a gym bag being knocked onto the floor alerted Robby to the intruder. He himself had snuck into a few buildings before, mostly empty warehouses but he knew one thing for sure, whoever had broken in wasn't here on accident. Based on how things with his former dojo were going it was probably Hawk and his pals, a few of his Miagi Do, and whatever his father's new Dojo was called, Eagle Claw? Fang Strike? Eagle Fang? Didn't matter what they called themselves, they were still traitors, especially his father, who turned their back on Cobra Kai, on Kreese, on him.

Deciding to surprise them, he crouched in the corner waiting for the intruder to enter the back room. His muscles tensed, itching for a fight. As he predicted, they did, rustling around for a light switch when Robby struck. He quickly pinned the intruder to the ground but they put up quite a fight.

"Get off me you creep!" shrieked the distinctly female voice causing Robby to leap back.

"Tory?" asked the teen as he flicked the light switch revealing a dusty Tory Nichols.

"Who else would it be dork?" she snapped before pausing "sorry I forgot you were staying here, I came for an early morning workout," she sighed, causing the hostility to drain from Robby's gaze. Tory looked pretty roughed up, more than a brawl it looked like she'd been rolling around in a leaf pile. Her hair was a mess, littered with leaves and sticking out at all angles, her clothing snagged, her red jacket scuffed, and her skin littered with small scratches and patches of dirt.

"Um, do you mind if I asked what happened?" Robby asked, wondering what Tory had been up to.

"Oh you know a late-night stroll," she said casually.

"Last time I checked a stroll doesn't usually end in you wearing half a leaf pile," he snarked before he caught sight of the scratches, "and are those scratches?" Robby asked his eyebrows raising.

"Alright enough with the interrogation! I was going for a walk when a few guys from my complex decided that they wanted to intimidate me and it turned into a little tussle," she winced irritating her shoulder. Robby sniffed the air and growled under his breath.

"Filthy wannabe alphas," he growled under his breath smelling Beta all over her

"What was that?" Tory asked turning around

'Uh nothing, I just said filthy jerks" he shrugged, avoiding eye contact and looking down at his feet, rubbing the back of his hair nervously. Tory eyed him suspiciously and considered calling him on it but quickly realized it wasn't worth it. Robby had two sides, the side that shared and the side that hid behind a tough facade. Every since Junior Prom he'd been pretty comfortable around her but there were times when she knew not to push or he'd put up his walls.

"Just leave me alone, I'll walk"

"Then at least let me escort you" he teased, doing a mock bow while trying to lighten the mood. Tory, however just wanted to be left alone, her frustration growing, normally she'd take any fight head-on but there were certain "aspects" of herself she knew were weaker than her peers.

"I can escort myself" she snaps storming out of the dojo. She didn't stop, ignoring Robby's protests, she continued until she reached the edge of the wooded park leading to her neighborhood.

"Well, well, well look what we have here" snapped the betas she'd ran from earlier.

"Back off you bunch of betas!" she snarled

"Naw, but oh look someone finally realized what we are. Couldn't smell you upwind but now I smell it loud and clear," he purred, "Come on boys let's make this interesting," he cackled before lunging towards Tory.

This time they didn't mess around, shifting before their feet even hit the ground. Now several wolves circled her snarling, leaving Tory trapped by a wall of fangs and fur. She attempts to shift but is met with only aching muscles and slightly sharper teeth. It'd been ages since she'd even tried to shift but she'd never been able to quite get it.

The circle of wolves began closing in, Tory preparing for the worst.

"AWWWOOOOOOOO!" a mighty howl cut through the night, startling both Tory and the wolves.

As she gazed up the hill where the sound came from, she thought she'd spotted a silhouette in the moonlight but if it had been there it was gone in an instant.

The leader snapped out of his shock first and began to stock towards Tory, his lackeys making sure to block any point of escape. Tory could only wince as the wolf opened his mouth revealing his fangs as he prepared to lunge. She closed her eyes waiting for him to strike only to hear a deep growl from behind him.

She opened her eyes just in time to see a massive wolf collide with the leader mid-pounce, tossing him into a few of his lackeys. Some of her attackers were knocked over with a yelp in a mass of fur and limbs. The large wolf stood in front of her snarling at the wolves still standing. They tried to tackle it at the same time only to have the wolf dodge, causing two to collide while the larger wolf batted the third away. As all the wolves got back on their feet, they eyed their leader nervously. The leader snarled at the larger wolf trying to display dominance only to be met with a louder growl from the larger wolf, its teeth pulled back in a snarl. The leader's nose twitched, its eyes going wide. He bowed his head in submission before backing away, tail between his legs. The rest of the wolves followed before turning tail and running as soon as they'd reached the end of the alleyway.

As soon as they were out of sight, their claws scrabbling on the pavement no longer audible to her ears, Tory turned to look at the wolf that had come to her aid. It was the largest wolf she'd seen, its muscular frame coated in thick tan fur. She'd heard that alphas were typically larger than most betas and almost all omegas, but this wolf was larger than the alphas she'd encountered.

She winced as she tried to back away, aggravating a cut on her arm. Clearly, the wolf had heard her, sniffing the air, and catching the scent of blood as it turned from its vigil of the road to stare at her. She tried to back away, her back colliding with the alleyway, resulting in a whimper she tried to stamp down. Much to her surprise, the alpha that was snarling and aggressive moments before now had its head down in submission, letting out a small keen, in an attempt to seem non-threatening. Noticing her confusion the wolf lifted its head and much to her shock a pair of familiar blue eyes gazed back at her.

"Robby…..?" she gasped.
