I don't own Avatar Viacom does but Mako deserves more credit for surviving his and Bolin's background

After all he could barley remember their parents. When he tried to remember what his father looked liked he only saw Mako, when he tried to hear his father's voice he only heard Mako's
After all it wasn't his parents who kept him warm in the cruel Republic City winter.
It wasn't his parents that always made sure he had something to eat at their own expense.
IT wasn't his parents that took that rap whenever the police arrested the boys for running numbers in order to live even if it was gangster money.
IT wasn't his parents but Mako who protected him from numerous other street kids who wanted their food or the shelter he had made. Taking the beating while fighting off numerous opponents while he remained unharmed
It wasn't their Parents who allowed Bolin to keep a pet in spite of their situation just so he could have something most normal kids had.
It WAS Mako who cried almost every night when they were young when he thought Bolin was asleep and saying though his tears Mom Dad please help me I don't think I can do this by myself.
It was Mako who in spite of the street life that had taken the souls of so many street kids installed in him the morals heir mother and father must have taught him
Yet though his strength and Will his brother had successfully guided them through the streets with their souls intact although Bolin would like to think he had helped.
So you see while it was strange for Bolin to make that remark about his brother's scarf it wasn't an insult at all it was the ultimate credit to their father and mother who in just eight years had given Mako the morals, strength and will to ensure the ablilty to survive and thrive and what better compliment can you give a parent than that?
