Chapter 1: The Dark powers from the Gannon

Swords clashing against each other. The loud "cling" noise would echo through the lobby of the Hyrule Castle. When Ganondorf would capitalize on the rookie warrior Link, Link would reflect his attack and use an attack of his own. Although this was the beginning journey for him, this would be proven for his downfall of being an unexperienced fighter. When he first took upon this epic mission to rescue Zelda's castle from darkness. He didn't expect the power which would serge through Ganon's body. So many people have supported his choice to protect the princess and keep darkness away from the castle but he wouldn't have known how strong his enemy really was just until now.

What's wrong Link? Having issues? You dear to fight with no experience and pretend you have enough strength to defeat me? He laughed towards the warrior with Zelda watching from a far. Although she knew she had powers but it wouldn't be enough to stop him. His aura was too much for even her to handle. Even though he had picked the Master sword up but without knowing how to use it, all he was doing was defending and offend when he sees an opening which is rare to see while going against him.

I need to find a way to stop him but how? He thought to himself.

I really do like getting to know a brand-new face to face me but unfortunately for you, I must shorten our little sparring match.

What? Link questioned while feeling worried.

He performed a demonic strike which caused Link to fly onto his back with his sword falling out from his grip feeling the pain overtaking him forcing him to be defeated. Unfortunately for you, I like to mark my victims to remind them who I am, who is better, and will always be and since I see potential through you Link. I'm going to give you a gift.

Not understanding what he was saying, he seen that his sword became black and with him able to feel that rapid power which was running off of his blade. He instantly knew what he was going to do.

I'm sorry Link but honestly, I am not. He evilly chuckled while placing his black sword through Link's chest but before it happened, he woke up.

[i1] Waking up in cold sweats remembering that horrible event which had happened those many years ago, listening to someone knocking on his door, he heard a voice calling for him on the other side.

Link? It's Zelda. By the sound of her voice, it had slowed the beats of his heart down. Master Hand wanted me to wake you up for the ceremony to introduce the new Smashers.

Remembering the opening of a new tournament which he participated for the past two tournaments which along with Mario. He was one of the first bunch who were invited to introduce a gathering of different people from the Nintendo land but hearing some roomers about Master Hand talking about opening some doors to allow third generation Smashers to join the Brawl. He can't help but to be skeptical of the process because it would break the tradition of only having the first and second generation joining but if he wants to make a change, then fine by him. In his own mind since he doesn't have the power to keep the old tradition, he will just continue with training. Talking about training, ever since he had joined" Super Smash Brothers" he has been getting better with his fighting techniques. Although he still does not know how to release the power of the Master Sword. At least his offense and defense has gotten a lot better. Now the biggest question is, what did Gannon do to him? Ever since his battle with him, he hasn't sensed any permanent scars, deception, or manipulation. Then, what did he do? Pushing that to the side, he told Zelda that he will be right out.

Stepping out from his bed, grabbing his green tunic, bow n arrows, sling shot, shield, then his sword which the Tri-force on his wrist would slightly glow wanting to be released even though he doesn't know how to, and then his boots. He stepped out from his room and in front of him, Zelda was waiting for him with her beautiful white dress, blond hair which was scattered across her back and with her bright blue eyes inviting him over to walk with her, both of them started walking down the corridor.

How did you sleep? She asked with a soft-spoken voice that sounded like silk with honey.

It was fine. He lied trying to not have her worry but she was able to see through.

Come on Link. Somethings on your mind. They made it to a flight of stairs in section C of the Smash Mansion. All in total, when he thought about it. There were seven sections starting with A going down the list of G. A was the main entrance, section B and C are living quarters, section D is dinner, section E is entertainment which is where the Smashers hang out to play some table and arcade games, section F is where Smashers will go when hurt or injured, and section G is where all of the supplies are stored when selecting different weapons and items. Outside in the back is where all of the events take place including training, which is its own separate building, fighting center, which is where we will go live in front of the audience when going against our opponents, further on into the city in Smash Villa is where they have their beautiful concerts. There are more places to go but those are the basic places where Smashers like to hang out.

With Zelda's bright blue shining eyes which never left his blue eyes except for looking down the stairs so she wouldn't fall, she was still waiting for an answer.

… looks like you never want to leave it alone. So, I had that dream last night. Then with him and her stopping on the mid landing between floors. She spoke to him and said, "Link, I know that moment will never escape your mind but whatever he did to you. We must not allow it to absorb your conscious."

I understand that Zelda but you must understand, I haven't learned how to use the Master Sword. Yes, my fighting capability has certainly gotten better but this glow from the tri-force on the back of my hand keeps shining and I do not know what it wants me to do. As long I can't figure how to use this power, GanonDorf will always beat me.

Stop it Link! She shouted which made him freeze. You're scared. I know that. Where going to work this out together. I'll try to figure out and maybe I'll talk to Master Hand… Then she got cut off from Link.

No, we can't tell Master Hand about my incident that had happened a hundred years ago. Then she placed her finger on his lips and said, "no Link. If you listen to me first before jumping into conclusions and hear me out. I was going to say that I am going to speak to Master Hand about your tri-force and see what he can do about it but for right now. They continued walking down the stairs to the assembly hall. Let's focus on the announcements and see who will be joining us on the battlefield. Then with him giving her a nod. They were able to make it to the bottom floor. Talking about announcements, do you have any thoughts who can possibly be joining us today?

Not a single clue. He simply responded.

Well for me. Bowser started following behind them like if he was stoking them. I'm hoping that girl Krystal from Star Fox makes it in since we desperately need more females on the roster. Yes, I'm happy to have Peach and Nana but it gets boring after a while you know what I mean? Then with him giving her a slight nod, he was able to tell a big present was stocking behind them and when he did turn around. He was instantly able to see Bowser slowly creeping up upon them like a shark.

I know you are there Bowser. What do you want? Link asked.

Going the same direction, you are going. He smirked. Talking about that. I hope for the best for you two because if you didn't hear, besides newcomers. He is also going to bring up something about leaders and if that is right, I really hope it will be you… Link. He cackled.

Leaders? Zelda asked.

You didn't hear? Bowser asked as all three of them stopped in the middle of the walkway heading towards the main lobby in section A. During this assembly what I have overheard. Master Hand is rumored to announce leaders to contain the Smash verse. Since there's going to be a lot of us. He's gonna need some assistances to contain the newcomers and train them but wait. He gave an exaggerated pause. You will never be a leader Link because you're still training on how to perform your final smash and in able to be a leader, you must be strong, a leader, and able to perform your finisher. Hahahahaha! Then he just walked passed them with Link standing there in thought. As he left, Zelda placed her hand on his shoulders and told him, "don't allow him to get to you. He's just trying to put you down."

I know… but I can't help but feel that he might be right. Yes, I have gotten a lot stronger with fighting but now since Master Hand has worked us even harder for us to be able to perform our signature final smash. I feel like I haven't got nowhere.

Sometimes, we can't always expect something to happen instantly just because. Sometimes it's all into the patience. I'm for sure once you perform it, you'll be an indestructible force and also, don't worry about the leader slot. It's always better to start low so you can work yourself to the top because being a leader isn't all that fun. Knowing she was right because she does rule Hyrule Castle, she would know.

That's my Link. Let's go or else we're gonna be late. She dragged him by the arm stepping through the doorway accessing the main section into the auditorium with a smile.

I don't seem to understand why she seems to be careless on what happened those many years ago. Yes, I was left without my head decapitated but because of my failure, Hyrule is always going to be covered with darkness and it's all my fault. I wasn't strong enough. I couldn't beat him and the worst of it all is that she seen it all. My failure, my defeat, my wounded pride with my tail beneath my feet. I played hero and now look where I got myself. Actually, if I didn't find myself stumbling into the mansion then meeting up with Master Hand even though he was working with construction on this soon to come the biggest mansions there is, but if it wasn't for him. I wouldn't have gotten this strong. I owe my life to him.
