Smash: The Alternative Brawl
Chapter 3: The assembly
On the blank stage where the hands will be making their announcements for the upcoming Smashers and further news/ updates if there are any changes. There were some fancy decorations hanging above and the around the auditorium such as the curtain had the symbol of the Smash ball which represented the multi- crossovers with the two lines representing four people are able to join the battle which the Smash symbol was covered in gold. Around the stadium had the founding members of Smash as figurines Such as Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Fox, Pikachu, Kirby, and Yoshi. As time goes on, from an old announcement, more will be hung up.
With the Shy- guys, the Troopa army, in the far back where nobody will get hurt, chain Chompper were all ecstatic. Well… most of them. They don't think Chompper really cares that much. When the door opens from the other side where the Smash Brothers came in, the crowd erupted shouting their names.
With Mario, Donkey Kong, Link with Zelda, Bowser, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Marth, Mr. Game and Watch, Luigi with princess Peach right behind him, Falco, Yoshi, then far down the line hidden in the shadows ganondorf, The Ice Climbers, Ness, captain Falcon Jigglypuff, and then finally at the end of the line came Samus. As they all took their seats waiting for the hands to show up, one of the toads came up to Mario, Zelda, Samus, Fox, Marth, and Captain Falcon to have them step onto the stage. Feeling confused for most of them, they did as follow and step onto the stage where Master and Crazy Hand had finally made their appearance which made the whole auditorium nearly explode with cheers and as they were going to speak, they allowed themselves to get sucked into the crowd.
"Welcome to Super Smash Brothers Brawl!" Master Hand screamed. "Are you ready for the next installment? He continued to ask. Then hearing the screams of approval, he continued to speak. "Then wait no more because I will be announcing new characters, new stages, new content, and new leaders to help Smash Brothers." Then with shock appearing on the six Smashers, they were able to put two and two together. "Yes, you have heard correct. These six captains are going to be the ones who will help contain this new tournament. Before you ask why, just wait because when I announce the newcomers, you will understand. So, there will be captains and the reason I have chose these six is because of their development of creating their final smash which is a new concept of finishing of their opponents. Not just them but they will also have lieutenants but for further importance for what these captains should know is if they loose to a challenger in the running for their seats and same for the lieutenants, they will lose their position but each job for each commander differs such as Zelda. She will be performing medical onto the battlefield if someone does get hurt but she will still be fighting. For fox, he will be working with technology development so the Smashers will have better weapons, and for Samus, they will be our informant to protect evil from causing chaos within these walls. For our remaining captains, they are our support for fighting. Now for the lieutenants, in order to receive their seats. The captains must choose a person from the roster who already knows how to release their final smash but for the captains to get a good look, at them, everyone will go against each other in a random draw. Whoever are the remaining Smashers and who ever the captains select will be their second seat but must remember, they must have developed their finisher. If not, they will not receive the seat unless too powerful with their strength that they do not need a final smash."
Listening to the rules, although Link really wants to work under Zelda but not able to release his final smash even how hard he has been trying, there has been no success. He doesn't know if it is because of him not able to perform it or it's something else, but whatever it is, he must figure it out quick.
"Now for the moment we all been waiting for. Let me introduce you to you to the newcomers." Although Bowser and Ganondorf were not happy for the surprise of captains because both of them aren't and since they both have visions of taking over control and most likely they will never have the chance to become a runner up unless they defect the system. Their chances of being a leader had diminished in front of their eyes.
"Hey master Hand, let me read off the newcomers. I always wanted to do this but you never give me the chance. I'm tired of floating here doing nothing." Then with a sigh, Master Hand gave Crazy Hand the mic. "Yay! So first up to put your hands together, the first participant who will be joining us is Diddy Kong." Then with a humongous smile, Donkey Kong ran up to Diddy Kong which he was still running through the front door onto the stage with the other captains. When he made it, Diddy was on Donkey Kong's back. "Second who will be joining us is Wario!" Then suddenly from the hallway, Wario with his motorcycle came driving down the ramp which had a red carpet but now it has black burn marks from his tires.
"Oh no." Wario started to complain. "Maybe I shouldn't have had garlic when coming here." Then with his stomach starting to bloat up, for some odd reason, everyone knew to run just until a Wario waft exploded through the whole room like a nuclear explosion which unfortunately some did not make it in time. For those who did make it out, they seen those who were still inside gagging on the floor trying to find air.
"Well their goes that show." Crazy Hand said pretending to hold his made up nose.
"Ugh… somebody air out the room and put us on commercial break." Master Hand said with a sigh.

Master and Crazy Hand:
"Now since we are back." Crazy Hand announced back on the stage. "I would like to introduce you to the third participant which give him a round of applause. Toon Link! Then a kid who had a cartoony look from the real Link came from the main entrance then with a small smile forming from Zelda's lips, he stepped onto the stage while waving and smiling to the crowd with them giving him a positive response.
"Looks like a cartoon version of me." Link thought to himself.
"Fourth Smasher who will be joining us. Please give him a round of applause, Pit." Suddenly from the roof, a boy with wings flew to the stage while giving everyone a big grin. With everyone's astonishment, they couldn't tell if he was a real angel or just a boy in a costume. "Next up for number five which they have been around Nintendo for quite a while but give it up for R. O. B." Then coming from the door with one of the shy- guys, a robot with red arms came rolling itself to the stage just until it used its compelled rocket jets to fly up onto the stage to join the others. With no one able to figure out if they should cheer or boo towards the robot, Crazy Hand started announcing the next few participants which were Meta Knight, King Deedeedee, Captain Olimar, Wolf, Pokémon Trainer with Charizard, Ivysaur, and Squirtle. When he got to Lucario, with a long list of others, Master Hand gave Crazy Hand a break then took over.
"Eleven who will be joining us will be Ike!" Perking up to someone who Marth knows, he smirked towards the man with a large sword wearing a bandana and a cape. Walking down the aisle pass the others, he had a confident stride. "For our last Nintendo participant, I would like you to give it up to this wonderful boy, Lucas." Then with Ness breaking a smile, with Lucas glancing towards Ness, originally, he was looking scared but once he seen him, his fright became relief of knowing he wouldn't be alone when coming here. When Samus glanced towards the boy, she doesn't seem to understand but looking towards the kid, it reflected her to her own past but pushing that to the side, she knew there was one more person. Deep inside, she wanted to meet this person who they call the legendary soldier but at the same time, she doesn't because she still doesn't know if he is part of the terrorist attack but waiting for Master Hand, he finally broke the surprise for the others.
Wait a second, wait a second. Before all of you introduce yourselves to one another, I only said last Nintendo participant. I never said he was the last Smasher. Then with everyone giving out curious eyes while silent, I will like to introduce you to a special person who will be joining the Brawl. He is no ordinary person we have had from the past. He is actually our very first third-party participant and his name is… Solid Snake!" Then from the main entrance walking silently down the red and black stained carpet, everyone just stared at him like "third party? Who the Goddess is he? Why in the world is there a third-party Smasher here in Brawl?" As questions continued to spread not getting the reaction that he thought he would get, Master Hand said, "listen everyone. Due to him just being here opens the doors for third party Smashers to join us such as Sonic the Hedgehog, James Bond, and even Ryu. From where he is from and since it was hard enough to get this type of process on the table, take pleasure that he will be a part of us who will open the doors for other Smashers to join the roster for the near future." Then with the audience giving a consent of allowing him here, everyone started dispersing but not without Master Hand explaining the new stages, events, and to allow everyone to get introduced to the new Smashers, he will be hosting a dance for the upcoming tournament.
As we finish up here. Master Hand spoke towards the crowd. "Are there any questions?" Then suddenly Zelda raised her hand. "Yes Zelda?"
"I do not know if it was specified for the commanding seats but how about the remaining Smashers? Will they select us on which captain they will be joining? Also, when you say everyone for second in command, do you mean everyone everyone? Or only those who have mastered their final Smash?"
"Great questions. So, for your first question, no. Out of those remaining six Smashers. You will have to choose your lieutenant but After the semi- tournament, you and your second in command will be able discuss your team mates but you must remember you will have to teach them how to heal or find those who knows how to. For your second question. Only those who are in the process who practically almost mastered their finisher unless their power is too great which in that way, I will test their abilities to see if they are capable for the job."
"Is that including Bowser and Ganondorf?" She asked.
"Yes. Unless found guilty of crime which can cause total chaos to their team or they break the law of their vows of being a head or second in command." Then suddenly she seen a devilish smirk start to appear on Ganondorf's lips knowing what his plans were going to be which made her swallow hard. "Any further questions?" Then he seen Snake raise his hand. "Yes?"
"Does anyone have a smoke? I'm down with my last one." Then hearing some cackling from the front row seats. Crazy Hand and Master Hand did not know what to say.
"Uh… there's a nearby shop not too far from hear. After when we are done with this, we can help you with some directions or have somebody pick it up for you but is there any other questions?" Master Hand tried to change the topic. Then seeing a female from the front row seat. He called on her and asked., "yes?"
"Hello, my name is Amy and is my sweet Sonic coming to Brawl?" Then seeing the hands start hesitating, Crazy Hand said, "actually…" then Master Hand nudged him which made him say, "sorry, no. Maybe further down the line." He tried to give out a convincing smile with his fingers.
"Uh huh. Okay." She rolled her eyes.
"Now since that is over, my last message I will like to announce is for the dance, that will be in three days from now and for the semi- tournament to crown lieutenant that our captains will select will be in a week from now so if I were you, for those who are interested, I will want you to start signing your names in my office. If your name is not on that list within three days, you will not be competing. Now all of you will be dismissed."
