Haaaaaaaaaah. Welp. Managed to recover this chapter after nearly throwing my PS4 in rage since I did all this once last night but it didn't save and it didn't copy the text. ;^;
So! I have spent FIVE. WHOLE. HOURS. In the public library doing formatting, proof-reading, betaing and writing over five thousand words the best that I can and hoping that this chapter doesn't suck for you guys (and gals!)
Never the less, with twenty three minutes of my extended log-in time... IT. IS. DONE! Chapter Sixteen: Operation: Yubel Black!
It was rare for days like these to come around in Duel Academy after the massive turn of events that ensued since the beginning of the term back in the beginning of September. There had been so many incredible events that has happened and it all seemed to revolve around Duel Academy's Pro-Circuit duelist. But since yesterday, there seemed to be an atmosphere that had settled over the entirety of the island that seemed... pensive, almost; like the students and teachers alike could sense this lulled feeling being the calm before the storm. It seemed to almost fight the nature of celebration they should be feeling since it is only two days before New Years' and there was... nothing. No buzz, no excitement... just nothing.
It had been a full week since Mai's inauguration into her new role as Professor of Dueling Techniques and it had been a massive shock to the rest of the students for a professional duelist to have been name as Jaden's personally-picked replacement.
Jaden had received the video of Mokuba and Jenny has it saved on her phone for whenever she had a down mood. Jaden still needed to think of something to repay him for that.
As of right now; Mai was busy writing something down on the stack of papers while her students chatted among themselves as they continued to study. She had always been a kinesthetic learner; so she had always studied better by simply doing instead of theory work. While she preferred that style of teaching, she also knew there would be instances (much like today), there was still a need for theoretical studying and this was one of those lessons. They were currently writing an essay based on two different deck arch-types they had been given and with a set list of cards: determine any possible combos and any counters to halt each deck.
Unfortunately with the unsettling atmosphere and the stormy weather outside; it seemed to make everything drag on for much longer than they thought it was and it was driving her nuts. Seeing as her hand was starting to cramp slightly, she stopped and allowed to massage her hand to ease some of the stiffness in it. Letting loose a deep sigh, she leaned back in her chair to stretch; raising her arms above her head and arching her back, and unintentionally giving the male and female students a glimpse of her impressive bust before snapping back to her normal position:-
Before snapping to attention as everyone turned to the doors that had just been opened. Refreshments will be provided upon arrival but please do hurry!" Jack started off strongly, everyone snapping to attention at the seriousness in his voice. Without any further prompting, the students quickly shoved their work away and quickly made their way toward the dueling arena as they had been asked to. Mai quickly followed suit but left out the opposite doors as she needed to make a quick stop beforehand...

(Small Time Skip: Exhibition Arena)
It had roughly taken everyone an impressive ten minutes to make their way towards the arena itself as all three years of students sat together and mingled with that of the other ranks. Jack idly noted that the Obelisk Blue students were still mainly keeping to themselves but were pleased to see a few blue uniforms dotted amongst the sea od red and yellows. Upon clearing his throat, he turned on his microphone and coughed again for the attention of the students.
"First off, I thank you all for arriving so promptly and settling down just as quickly." Jack smiled before he closed his eyes and snapped them open; all frivolities and playfulness gone. "What I am about to disclose to you is something that has not been done since the opening of Duel Academy around seven years ago and I have only just finished coming off from a call with Seto Kaiba himself to finalize and confirm this." he began explaining, earning murmured whispers as he raised a hand to settle them down quickly.
"While originally this would have been remained confidential; Seto Kaiba had deemed it important and paramount that the students are to know just what is going on and why I have called you all here today. So with that in mind; I'd like to fill the second and third-year students as to what exactly is going on with one key note of importance." Jack continued, earning everyone's full attention. "As you are all undoubtedly aware; we have had an impressive number of first-year students that have excelled amazingly in their academic studies and also in their dueling proficiency. As such; I will hand over the stage to our own campus celebrity, Jaden Yuki, to explain the rest of this news." Jack nodded in finality as he turned to face one of the entrances as everyone watched with baited breath as seven figures all made their way to the stage...
Everyone had gotten used to Jaden in his black outfit from the month he had spent teaching in place of Crowler so that hadn't come as much of a surprise. What did surprise them was the outfits that the remaining six figures had taken up. Before they could dwell further on the nature of their outfits, they were brought out of their musings by Jaden coughing into the microphone for all attention to focus on him.
"Thank you, Chancellor." Jaden bowed as he turned to face the students, his brown eyes set in a grim determination and firmness. "Now, I bet you're all wondering as to what could be so important and so serious that we've had to call you all here; and as to why Kaiba had to be involved with this?" he asked, earning a few nervous glances to each other and a few nods.
"The truth of the matter is that the safety of this island is now at risk. We have discovered that there are people on this island who are looking to take advantage of and steal some very powerful cards which are being safeguarded here. As of last night, said people have finally started to make their first move." Jaden began, his eyes softening slightly in empathy as the students grew nervous and started to panic. "I understand this is heavy news to take in and it is unsettling but as much as I would like to lighten the mood; I cannot emphasize the seriousness of this situation. So I ask you all to please remain calm as we explain to you exactly what is going on." he pleaded earnestly; his voice reaching out to everyone as they all visibly calmed down enough for everyone to listen again.
"In light of this development; Myself, Chancellor Sheppard, Seto Kaiba, Mai Valentine, Pegasus Crawford and even Yugi Moto have been notified and briefed on this situation beforehand and each of us have been working on a portfolio of information, networks and discussing a game plan from each of our different sides; to form a cohesive group of exceptional duelists that will be chosen to counter whatever these people will try and throw at us." he sternly explained. He sighed audibly as his shoulders sagged slightly, easing some of the tensions as they could see it was affecting him as well.
"I won't lie about this and I won't begin to make excuses about this; but you guys and gals should already know which chosen students will be helping me with this issue. Alexis Rhodes from Obelisk Blue. Bastion Misawa from Ra Yellow. Chazz Princeton from Obelisk Blue. Eleanor Crowler from Obelisk Blue. Jennifer Andrews from Ra Yellow. Syrus Truesdale from Slifer Red, and Zane Trusedale from Obelisk Blue. As you can see; these six students ranged from all three ranks and all of them, along with myself and one other duelist who has personally volunteered to aid us in this endeavour; us eight have now been given clearance into the project I have proposed to each person that is involved with this project." he continued to explain, noting that one of the students from Ra Yellow had put her hand up from the first year students. "Yes, Sabrina?"
"U-Uh, Professor... why does this sound so serious? I understand that this sounds like a threat but what could possibly be so big that five of the world's top duelists have to get involved in this? And who is this other duelist who would be helping you?" she asked, earning a few nods in agreement to her question. Jaden was about to speak up but to everyone's collective surprise; it wasn't him who responded.
"While it would be a surprise to many; I have offered to aid Jaden and the others in this endeavor. Solely for the one initial purpose as to why we needed clearance for this to go ahead since we will be delving into the forbidden studies of the Millennium Items and the Shadow Realm." a deep baritone voice spoke up as an unmissable set of black, yellow and red spiked hair walked through the entrance and everyone's attention immediately snapped towards him as he strode up to the stage in his usual outfit but had also changed his base colour from a navy blue to all black.
"As you can now all see... our eight member in this will be none other than Yugi Moto, himself." Jenny spoke up, letting loose a smile as her shoulders sagged in relief from the cheers and massive applause given as the King of Games made his way to the stage. "But to continue from where Jaden and Yugi left off: the heart of the problem that we face here is a threefold issue: one that could severely backlash on Jaden, all those involved, Duel Academy, Kaiba himself, and could possibly threaten the very nature of the world we live in." Jennifer spoke up as she stood there in a slightly modified replica of Seto's trench-coat; having dominantly been black but fading into silver towards the ends of her arms and the bottom of her coat, finished with a short skirt that followed the theme of black and silver. "The first issue is the nature of the cards themselves: to all the first-year students, remember when Crowler was here first and asked Jaden about the effects of the three Sacred Beast cards after asking Alexis about the different categories of Duel Monsters cards?" she asked, earning a few more nods.
"Newsflash; the cards are real." Chazz continued for her as he stood in front of everyone in a similar outfit to Jaden's; the only exception being his t-shirt being a dark purple and a raised collar that also had silver trims and buttons across the entire outfit. (A/N: Think of his canon outfit but the black trims and buttons are now a prominent silver~) "This is Kaiba-Level, Top-Secret Confidentiality info right now so don't go spreading this about like gossip or we will clamp down on you and prevent it." he warned seriously, earning a solemn nod from Jaden to back his claim up. "Unluckily for us; the shitstorm doesn't just end there..." he trailed off, allowing someone else to continue.
"A lot of students, even from where I came from in the Eastern Academy Branch; have heard rumours and speculation about the tale of the 'Abandoned Dorm' and how a special selection of students had been chosen to study the uses of the Millenium Items and delving into the territory of the Shadow Realm; something that should have never happened or had been given clearance for in the first place." Eleanor picked up where Chazz left off, crossing her arms under her bust and sternly speaking to the remaining students. Eleanor had something similar to her old blazer style but she had asked for three leather straps reaching over and under her bust and across her stomach; locking with a buckle to keep the jacket closed and straining against her chest as she completed her uniform with a black variant of her usual uniform.
"While normally, we would be facing off against a potential mercenary group of duelists looking for the Sacred Beast cards, I'm afraid it gets much more complicated from a piece of evidence we have found and now confirmed to be true."Bastion followed up smoothly as he crossed his arms and closed his eyes for a moment; having simply settled for a black and silver variant of his usual uniformed look and changing his polo underneath from a moss green to a silver. "It has just recently been confirmed by a contact of Jaden's that the missing students who had disappeared a few years ago in regards to the Abandoned Dorm..." he trailed off, looking towards Alexis as she had her eyes closed at this point. Sensing someone looking at her, she turned to find the remaining seven of them looking at her in concern and allowed a brief smile to pass her face before looking up to the genuinely worried students.
"The students who disappeared a few years ago... are the same people who are now after the Sacred Beast cards for their own purposes. What makes it worse is that one of those students is my older brother; Atticus Rhodes." she confessed, dropping the bombshell as the students started to raise their voice in protest before a shushing noise slowly brought them back down; courtesy of Zane. Syrus had asked for a hybrid between a blazer and a hoodie that zipped up at the front, rather than buttoned up; as Alexis went for a zip-up hoodie similar to Syrus but opted to have the jacket only reach down to just over her belly button and her sleeves reaching down to her biceps and leaving the majority of her arms uncovered. Zane decided to go different to the rest of them and had personally asked for a sleeveless blazer with several leather straps and buckles across his, showing off his athletic and intimidating frame. "And for those who are familiar with his friend, Kamina Tsukiyomi?"
"... for all intents and purposes? He is my brother in all bar blood, seeing as both of us grew up together in the same orphanage." Jaden finished off, earning gasps of shock in response. "As mentioned earlier; I've been given a go-ahead on a project that will be severely dangerous, high-risk and could also potentially be fatal in order to stop this from happening or from letting them achieve this. In order to do so; Kaiba has granted me permission to separate ourselves from the original three tiers of rank and form a special, cohesive rank that answers directly to Jack and Kaiba both." he explained as his eyes flashed amber and his form was outlined in a black aura before a figured appeared from behind him and flew up into the air before corkscrewing back down and snap open her wings powerfully as she snapped opened her eyes; hovering protectively over the group of eight duelists.
"As this will have a connection to the legend and the lore of the Supreme King of Gentle Darkness; we have all decided and settled on the name being named after myself: Yubel Black. I reassure you all now; despite them being a specialized group of duelists, it doesn't mean that they will be exempt from dueling or lectures unless it is of paramount importance." Yubel explained to them all, easing their thoughts slightly as she gave a soothing and playful grin. "Everyone involved; both living and duel spirit, thought it would only be fair to let you all know about the dangers that will soon be taking place." she explained, earning smiles and another round of applause as they clapped for them all, herself included. She looked down to Jaden who looked up at that moment and simply winked at her with a smile, easing her fears immediately.
"I'd like to thank everyone for being able to sit through such a heavy topic but it is as Yubel said; we thought it would only be fair to let you all know the dangers that will be hitting us soon. So I am also announcing that all classes and lectures are now over for the remainder of this year and the first lecture will now start back on the 26th of January as well will be starting back with the January Promotional Duels. If I do not see you in the meantime, then behalf of all the members of staff and myself; I would like to wish you a prosperous and safe New Year!" he smiled, sighing mentally as the students cheered after such a heavy topic of discussion as he turned to face the eight duelists and duel spirit.
"I can't believe that this is really happening..." Jack sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose, looking up when he noted Jenny's hand placed on his shoulder and said redhead smiling at him reassuringly. He also noted the resolute and accepted looks from each of them and was awed at the bravery and trust each of them had in one another.
"I know, Jack. But trust me, we're prepared for this and we all know what this entails and what the risks are. We know what we've signed up for and we'll see it through." she grinned, giving a boost of morale from everyone else as they shared in her sentiments and smiled/smirked in response. Jack laughed, letting the stress escape as his shoulders felt lighter and patted her hand for the gesture.
"The only thing I could suggest is using Crowler's old apartment as a means of a get together for you all in the meantime. I know Jaden still has the keys and I can easily get spares made for the rest of you all. I just hope this goes well for us all." he trailed off, earning serious nods from them all. "Right, I'll let you all go do what you need to do. I want everyone to report to me at nine am, sharp." he answered, earning a nod from everyone as Jack bowed to them all before making his way out of the arena and back to his office.
"Things are really stepping into high gear now. Heh, makes me think how I thought I was cut out for everything since I was in Dule Prep School and honestly? I'm thinking the old me was nothing but a joke." Chazz commented seriously, earning the attention of the others. "Never think I'd end up in a situation like this but I'm glad I can help somehow." he nodded calmly and revealed a rare smile to them all, surprising them. "For now, I suggest we all grab some of the food and try and talk a bit more with the students and just reassure them it'll be alright." he suggested to them all, earning some approving nods of the head as they all went out and did exactly that. Mai looked at the seven of them and let her eyes linger on Jaden a little longer than the rest before shaking her head and moving to mingle with the students herself; having come back just at the end having done her side mission on behalf of that troublesome brunette she's so fond of.

Jaden sighed as he dragged his feet through the door and shut it behind him a bit too forcefully if the cringe was any indication. "You have NO IDEA how bad it is for Jaden since he's hurting just as much as you are! He loves you just the same as any of us;' and I can honestly go ahead and say that he loves you MORE!" she whisper-yelled, stunning Yubel into shock. "I shouldn't even be telling you this since it's not my business but I will not sit here and watch you two grow further apart because YOU can't decide how you feel about him!" she sternly rebuked as Yubel hung her head in silence and continued to cry.
"I-I'm scared..." Yubel confessed, stunning Trix into disbelief. "I don't want this as an excuse but... back when he fought the Light to a draw and died doing so... I had begun to discover feelings for Haou. I look at Jaden and I can't help but know that Haou is inside of him and I know it makes me terrible but I'm scared my attraction for Jaden isn't because of Haou inside of him but rather because it's Jaden..." she explained as she looked up to Trix again and showed her tear-stricken face. "I want to know that my feelings for Jaden are real!" she cried softly as she trembled again.
"Yube... I would have thought that would be such an easy to answer. Everyone can see the distance you both have but we see how much happier you are with JADEN. Not Haou. You were defended from being sent into space by JADEN. You kept JADEN from harm. He spent his nights with you so you could get to know the real JADEN. You danced with JADEN to a wonderful song and even SANG for him!" Trix nearly cried out as she stared her in the eyes and smiled softly as she drove each and single point home; stunning the silverette into silence. "I know Jaden has tried so hard to know you and to get to know you and he's simply giving you distance because he doesn't want to feel the pain if the one he loved more than anyone doesn't love him back." Trix finished as she ran her hand through Yubel's hair again as she darted to the fire-user's neck and cried harder. "It won't be easy and it will take time but even I can see that your feelings are for Jaden... not Haou~" she smiled as the two of them decided to spend the night together and simply distract Yubel from her insecurities as she bore her heart and soul out and began to make an effort to understand her own troubled heart.

Silence greeted her spoken question as the recipient of that question remained deep in thought. Kamina hated the fact that he had to play on the wrong side of the board but it would at least keep certain people safe from what should happen if he decided to come into the light and confess everything. While he would like to think he was strong enough to look after himself; there would be the doubt in his mind that would then question if the would be strong enough to protect those around him when it all hits the fan. He didn't want this... he wanted nothing to do with the Abandoned Dorm or anything to do with the Shadow Realms but it was because of that damn Atticus...
A soft hand stroked his cheek and pulled him out of his inner dialogue and darker thoughts, turning his gaze towards a pair of worried ruby orbs that did nothing to hide her worry or her affection for this man. Kamina sighed as he leaned into the hand further and closed his eyes, letting the held breath go and his body to slump in response to the events that are about to unfold.
"As much as I hate it... I know I have to. I have the feeling that our esteemed leader is keeping a careful eye on me now that he knows that I have a history with Jaden." Kamina explained, groaning at the complications that this had caused and the scrutiny he's been under of late. "As far as he's concerned, I'm nothing but a liability right now and I can't have Jaden or the others getting the backlash because I took the easy route. No..." he trailed off, resting her head on her shoulder and wrapping his arms around her for warmth and comfort.
"I will do this. No matter how much it hurts."
Camula moved her hand up to stroke the hair of the man she had fallen in love with, holding him as he took comfort from her. She still found herself baffled as to how she had become so attracted to this man, or even why said man would have found himself smitten with someone like her. She closed her eyes and held him close, wrapping her arms back around him as she recalled the moment the two had met...

Having just been dismissed from a meeting with their leader about their current and upcoming plans, Camula sighed as she allowed a slender hand to push open the door that lead into her personal room. Now, she knew she was much different than the rest of the "members" in this group; she was an honest-to-gods vampire. While many considered her kind as a myth, she knew that her kind was anything but.
She had grown up as a young woman during the Victorian Era back in London, England; she lived a relatively normal childhood in regards to her era despite being the only child to her mother and father, living in the middle/upper class members of society. From a young age, she had taken well to the lessons her dearest mother would teach her and she had loved that woman unlike any other person she had ever met. A role-model and an example of the woman she yearned to be and a woman she wished that she would, one day, make proud. Her father, however; was strict. Strict, a entrepreneur, a tycoon, a businessman and incredibly sexist. From her birth, he looked at her in disdain and washed his hands of her and refused to acknowledge her existence.
During the time she had just turned nineteen years of age; it was then that her father seemed to have remembered about her and that she had been taught about her father's business and also about how a woman of her social standing was meant to act. He used her as nothing more than a tool and a bargaining chip. Much to the unheard disapprovals of her mother, her father pawned her off to several wealthy heirs to some of the most revolutionary businesses of their time and get a foothold into the company via marriage.
Then the rumours would start. The piece of damning evidence. The scandalous plans forged by his contacts to pin on the higher echelons of the company board. Then... the evidence of Camula's fiancé in bed with a local prostitute after being heavily drugged... and her father gaining everything in compensation and adding to his expanding empire. And this was all she did until the age of twenty-six.
That one night... changed everything.
The witness of her father slashing the knife against the neck of her mother; seeing her mother murdered in cold blood and dropping to the floor like a piece of trash. His eyes set on her... to rid the last attachment that could rob him of his riches. She escaped from his clutches but not without the gash that had landed in her side as she fled the town and collapsed on the dirt-covered outskirts. Laying by the way as her hand clamped down on her bleeding wound, she let out an anguished filled cry of despair. Her tears refused to slow down as she faced her imminent death because of that wretched man that she was unlucky to have ties to. It would be a few moments after her scream that she was approached by a man who had heard her cry. He offered a chance of revenge against the man who took her world from her and a chance to live again away from social boundaries and experience true freedom.
She accepted it without a hesitation. Yet she didn't know that she would be turned into a vampire as part of the cost; but in comparison to the rage against her father and the murder of that swine... and the revenge for her loving mother... she did not care. She waited patiently for several years, finding out that she had gained a longevity to her own life after accepting the bite from the vampire that saved her life that night. It would be twenty years later when she had the shot to exact her revenge...
Yet her father had expected her.
Her world and her plans crashed down around her when she found that her father had willingly taken the bite of a vampire so that he would live longer and allow his empire to grow so that no other would compare to his wealth and fortune; that his name would echo throughout history as one that would be linked to riches, success and luxury! Yet despite a vampire granting him his wish...
… he revealed the existence of vampires. Their kind. And he condemned them all to death.
She had no choice to flee. She knew she would lose her new family; the people who accepted her fully and without judgement. The children who found love in these people when people would show them none. She vowed on that night... that that man would die by her own hands.
She was broken out of her darkening memories and thoughts when someone had knocked on the door of her apartment. Allowing a soft sigh to escape her lips, she quickly adjusted her lavished brunette-dyed hair, she opened the door and found herself pausing the moment her eyes rested on him. To this day, she doesn't know what caused her to pause like that but she could sense something about him that was much more different than the rest of the people that she had seen here; the blue hair he wore proudly was a bit of an anomaly but considering her hair transformed from her natural brunette to a sickly green during her transformation... she couldn't say much. The shirtless factor was a nice plus since she couldn't help but admire the well-built frame he seemed to show off so carelessly.
But it was his eyes. Those two chocolate orbs that held so much caring and so much warmth for almost everything around him... those orbs that froze her when they locked onto her own ruby ones and left her mesmerized. He sheepishly grinned, allowing a hand to rest on his neck in a show of nervousness and grinned.
"Uhh, hey there! I'm kinda new here and just wanted to introduce myself around here!" he explained, the nature of his visit making sense to her as she coughed slightly to compose herself once more. Allowing a charming smirk to appear on her face, she cocked her hip sexily and leaned on the door frame.
"If your introduction meant showing off your torso to everyone you meet, including a woman who can admire such a wonderful sculpture of art," she winked playfully, inwardly smiling at the stutter and the blush on his face, "then I think we will get along just beautifully, don't you~?" she teased, leaning forward slightly to allow his eyes to swap focus to the cleavage she had just shown in his eyesight. Much to her surprise, he kept his eyes on her the entire time as he smiled once more.
"I-I mean... I-I'm just used to not wearing a shirt and it restricts me if I usually wear one so it's rare I do. A-Anyway! My name is Kamina Tsukuyomi! May I have the pleasure of knowing your name, my lady?" he introduced himself with a flourished bow, earning a melodic giggle from the vampire as she walked forward and held her hand out gracefully and elegantly.
"Lady Camula Camburn. A pleasure to make your acquaintance, my good sir~" she smirked once more, giving him a wink that added to her charm and allure as he tenderly took her hand into his and kissed the back of her knuckles a little longer than she expected. She allowed a soft blush to appear on her face as her eyes shined in mischief. "Oh my~ such overwhelming tenderness and affection is such a simple gesture! Surely you cannot be falling for one such as I so soon?" she teased, allowing a rich laugh to escape from her.
"If this lady would allow me to indulge in such a selfish act, then I shan't be moved to complain. After all, the beauty before me is one so otherworldly and so captivating that any lesser man would indulge in his lesser needs and ravish her, if said need would be left unchecked and unhindered." Kamina responded in kind, enjoying the game that the two of them soon found themselves in. They paused before both of them burst into laughter and the friendship that formed at that moment.

Allowing a warm and content smile to grace her face as she remembered that meeting, not knowing back then that it would lead to falling in love with such a man as Kamina. Wishing to distract him from his thoughts, she gently pushed his back onto the bed; stunning the blunet as he didn't expect this sudden movement. One look in her eyes, however, stopped any protest he had as she reached up and flicked the lights off for the night.

Jack allowed himself a chance to compose himself as his head went over the current situation and the threat that faced, not only him but, the entirety of the Central Academy and possibly even the world. Kaiba himself appointed him this position because of his calm intellect and his ability to make decisions without hesitation or fear. He would accept all the consequences and do his damnded best to make sure the best results were possible and that everyone was happy. This was a situation he wished he never would have to come to face but knew he no longer had no choice.
Jaden Yuki; the campus celebrity that enrolled a mere four months ago. Already having a reputation of his accolades with him, it increased with the feats he had performed here and even to taking up the role of a teacher during Crowler's absence.
Yugi Moto; the King of Games himself. Mentor to Jaden and an inspiration to all duelists around the world. Rich in knowledge with matters pertaining the Shadow Realm thanks to his former alter-ego, Atem; proving invaluable in terms of guidance and support.
Jennifer Andrews; girlfriend to Jaden Yuki and upcoming female duelist to take the mantle from Seto Kaiba, himself. Having shot up by leaps and bounds in duelling skill, she is confident that she can stand alongside the ranks of Jaden, Yugi and Kaiba and make her own legend.
Alexis Rhodes; other girlfriend to Jaden Yuki and the current "Obelisk Queen". Taking more confidence in herself and opening up more emotionally and expressively, she is increasing in popularity and is even found supporting her fellow students in academic studies and in duelling.
Chazz Princeton; heir to the Princeton family fortune and highest-marked student in Duel Academy Prep School. A massive change in attitude after the duel with Jaden during the first lesson, began becoming more upfront but also much more mellowed out. His new deck proving to be a powerhouse and utilizing it effectively in duels and steamrolling over his opponents but without the arrogance as of before.
Syrus and Zane Trusdale; brothers and heirs to the Cyber Legacy. Both complete opposites in terms of attitude and in mindsets, both compliment each other incredibly well. Zane has become more social with his junior students and Syrus has gained confidence with duelling and social standings.
Bastion Misawa; highest-graded Ra Student and both scientific and mathematical genius. Proving to be a challenge and rival to Jaden by deconstructing Jaden's deck and figuring new duelling plays and combos, his duel skill has also improved dramatically and another person to keep watch for.
Eleanor Crowler; niece to former Doctor in Dueling Techniques, Vellian Crowler, and original user of the Ancient Gears. Suspect for a scandal in which she was innocent for, she was transferred to Central Branch. Still somewhat anti-social, she has taken a shine to Alexis, Jenny, Bastion and Jaden for friends and support. Proving to be even more formidable and ruthless than her uncle, her deck is not once easily faced against.
Scanning all nine figures standing before him, he allowed himself a tired smile to form on his face as he stood to his feet. Without a word, he moved over towards the middle of the room and stood before them all with hands firmly behind his back; showing them the respect that is deserved for volunteering for this task.
"You know why you are all here so I will skip with the pleasantries and cut straight to the chase." Jack sternly spoke, noticing the stiffening of the backs of all nine figures standing before him. "There is an unknown force that is looking to take the Sacred Beasts that's buried beneath the Academy. We know now, thanks to Jaden's intelligence, that there are nine members in which you will be up against. You have all been given the folders to this information and any other information in which Jaden was able to secure; so you have the rest of the day to learn this information and then destroy it." he ordered, earning nods from all nine.
"Additionally, within each folder is a Spirit Key." Jack continued, walking to the end where Zane stood before walking down to the other where Yugi stood; explaining and maintaining eye-contact with them all as he explained. "My former colleague created this system as a means to power the security field that protects the Sacred Beast cards and only when all the pieces are combined, will the security seal surrounding the cards deactivate. At this moment, the keys are deactivated. The only way they can be activated is via a duel. If you lose, then you will lose the key you own and will dissolve and reappear in the hand of the victor. How to why it does this, I do not know." he continued, halting any questions that would be asked.
"I don't need to tell you that failure is not an option here... but I have faith in each one of you that you will put this issue to rest and save this Academy. As of right now, all students currently present are exempt from lectures and classes until this issue is resolved. Contact me if you need any assistance and I wish you all the best of luck. Dismissed!" Jack smiled confidently in the end.
"Yessir!" The students responded in response, while Yugi nodded with a determined smile on his face as all nine took their first steps into uncharted territory...

So there we go everyone! The first pairing of the Eight Stars Arc is between Alexis and Kamina! Gonna look forward to writing this one out since I've been itching to write out and play with the Sly Cooper Deck (I've been given permission to do) and see how they fare against the Cyber Bladers!
And DID I, or DID I NOT tell you that I would make it up to you with the handicap duel back when Jaden was facing expulsion!? HUUUUH!? Yup, I've decided to bring everyone's favorite character back into GX: Yugi Moto! I love seeing how well I can combine the two series together and see the awesomeness that I can make with this! I hope you guys are pumped by this as I am!

Hello everyone! First off, I'm not dead. Had a couple of people ask me if I've dropped any of the stories I've written so far and the answer is...
NO!
I've been inactive because so much has been going on. I'm in counselling (again), I've lost hours in work, I'm financially at the point of insolvency (which is a step up from bankruptcy) and don't have enough to pay off my debts... and still no laptop which means I've pulled myself off from everything and jumped back into the library.
I'm so sorry to all the followers and fans who read my stuff and I'm sorry things aren't getting updated right now... but I also thank each and every one of you for supporting me still through the absence~ It means a huge lot to me and I'm so happy to do this for you people and make you happy!
So... despite all that; I'm taking a more active role in streaming now and I've hit Affilate on Twitch! I want to get back into typing for you all a bit more seriously again and I'll be dedicating a day of my week to coming here and working on stuff for you now~
With that said; I'm gonna put up Ninth Origin for a challenge for you guys and I'm actually gonna start one last new story I've had a long while now and kinda wanna see how it pans out tbh~ So the updates will be as follows:
Enter The King! - Kamina vs Alexis: Start of the Nine Stars Arc
SAO: Advent Children - Ilfang; Escaping the First Floor (and updates to remove the SCP's since they don't really fit with where I want it to go right now in the story but will remain the same!)
Wandering Kitsune (on my old account, Lambhuna) - Want to make progress on there since it was the first story I ever wrote on fanfiction tbh~
TBC - A fanfic based off my character from Final Fantasy XIV. Had it for a while and since I play it frequently, I am able to come up with some ideas that works alongside the current canon and storyline.
So here's how the updates are gonna work out; each chapter will have two chapter updates EACH before I release them to you guys because I owe you all so much. Then I will work on a new story idea. Then it'll be a rotation of each story and see how it all plays out~
It's not perfect and I'm still struggling with my anxiety and depression everyone but I will try harder to do this...
