Chapter 6: Snoop for Information

Watching Snake walking down the red carpet although Wario's tire tracks had stained the fabric. Trying to use her analyzer so Samus could get an estimation on who he really is since she can grab resources when looking at a person without having to depend on computers. For some reason, her device kept saying, "no information."

Feeling confused because her analyzer would grab documents from hidden files, resources, and backgrounds. She thought maybe her system malfunctioned.

Continuing through the assembly with Master Hand announcing for the further future we can expect more 3rd party franchises joining the tournament. She tried using her analyzer to see if she'll have better luck now since he's closer but as she was about to, she noticed he was glancing towards her so to make it look like an incident. She quickly turned towards the hand. Feeling her heart beating hard inside of her chest because if reports are true. With experience, he'll have the sixth sense telling him someone was just watching him and since she was not trying to get caught on the first day, she would have to wait for another opportunity.

When she was released from the assembly finding out she was a captain for law enforcement, she would have to watch each smasher to see who would be her lieutenant although she would rather be alone, get more information of Snake whenever the opportunity gives itself away, continue to search for the strong entity she was able to find in outer space and fix the mechanics so her suit won't break when she would release her zero beam. There was going to be a lot of things which were going to keep her occupied and now Master Hand wants to throw a welcoming dance? She didn't know what he was thinking but, in her mind, that was going to be a bad idea because first of all, she doesn't dance, it would be a waste of time, and she could come up with better pressing matters she would need to do.

"Actually, that would be a good idea." Then thoughts started swirling through her mind like a hamster running on a running wheel. "I can use that distraction to sneak around to get more intel off of my potential targets but that would mean I would have to use my zero suit but I can just disguise myself as someone else since no one would know who I am." Suddenly her thoughts were shut away after spying towards Snake who was looking at the poster of the original Smashers. Taking that advantage to analyze his info. Finally, she was able to get something like the suit he was wearing underneath his trench coat, the weapons he was carrying, and his occupation. Although it will not give her his back story. This was good enough. So, taking his info down before she started getting a pair of eyes glancing towards her which were Zelda and Link's. She acted casually by walking towards the opposite direction where she seen an elevator. When she pressed the "up" button. She clicked for the third floor and when she was waiting for Jigglypuff helping Lucario with his bags, the doors had finally closed.

Without saying a word wishing this damn elevator could move faster, with a loud "DING!" The door had finally opened and as she stepped out, she was able to see him looking both ways down the hallway and with him stepping in cautiously. Waiting for him to go in, she instantly realized he was down the hallway from her room.

"Son of a…" She cut herself short trying to bite her tongue.

Stepping down the hall with her metal clinking on the floor wishing she placed something to suppress the sound of her armor, she placed that down as another to do checkmark on her on going list of never-ending monotony. Passing his room trying to stay casual. Turning left down an intersecting hallway near by the last doors that would lead to the balcony for those who like to enjoy the scenery of the wilderness far West, the outdoors swimming pool which was a little more South by the E building. Looking towards the South, you can practically see the battlefield portal and the training center. If you would glance towards the North West, you would see the continuation of the forest but closer to the mansion, you can see a walkway which would bring you to a beautiful pond that she just found out not too long ago. Actually, not many people know about it because in the woods. There are some indescribable creatures like dog demons, evil entities, and stocking shadows which she wasn't really scared of. Actually, by the pond. It feels quite peaceful by the sound of the water when it would overlap one another, the fireflies, and just the sound of nature. Yes, there was some issues she had endure but it wasn't something she couldn't handle. Then when you would look towards the North. All you would see was the entrance of the main mansion.

Looking around her surroundings, finding that the cost was clear, she took her helmet off then placing her face on the face scanner pad, the light turned green allowing her access and as soon she stepped inside with her closing her door. She took off the power suit leaving her just in her light blue zero suit. Walking towards her bed where she had left her lab top at. Grabbing and placing it onto her desk which was next to her repair table. Turning it on while watching the loading symbol. Taking the information, she had received off of Snake then injecting it into the computer. All of the results had come in giving her all of the information she had analyzed.

"Hmm… right side pocket holster, Beretta 92. Beretta 92: Semi-automatic handgun. Classified as the Beretta 92FS is an Italian handgun which takes M9 cartridges that can hold 15 shots. Interesting. Right pocket, pack of Lucky Strikes. Lucky Strikes. Brand of cigarettes. Cigarettes? Who the hell? Never mind. What else does he have?" Continuing to gain details of his equipment, her watch started to go off. "Samus here."

"Samus, this is Adam. What's your status? The familiar sound of her commander whom she known for so many years speaking off of her watch had asked.

"Adam. Target somewhat identified."

"Oh?"

"Potential terrorist/ spy amongst us. His name is Solid Snake."

"Any evidence?" He asked.

"Reports say he sunk a military ship off the coast by New York on planet Earth. Other reports say he is a hero from destroying Outer Heaven which the base was full of nukes. They also say he is a hero from shutting down a nuclear warhead in Shadow Moses Island off the coast in Alaska. For some odd reason, I have a speculation that Master Hand is using him as a secret agent."

"Could he be CIA?"

"Undercover operative, high possibility. I am currently looking over his equipment and the only real thing that screams danger off of this guy is his Beretta 92 handgun." She said.

"Anything else?" He asked.

"Well he does have a pack of cigarettes."

"Cigarettes? If I recall, I do not think that is considered as a weapon."

"I just read in his suitcases which I was able to analyze. He does have a cardboard box. Now what kind of weirdo carries a cardboard box around? She said."

"Maybe he's a fanatic?"

Here we go. He's also carrying a remote missile launcher with grenades. Strange. The last couple things he is carrying with him is a stun knife and in his luggage, he's carrying a tranquilizer Hushpuppy MK 23 semi-automatic hand gun."

"Tranquilizer? Definitely secret operative but I do not know if he is working for Master Hand or for the enemy. Keep a good eye out for him Samus."

"Understood. Question for you Adam."

Yes." He asked.

Since I am still keeping my identity from all the others. Master Hand is hosting a party at the mansion but, do you think it is safe for me to be a random visitor as a whole different person but instead of participating in the dance, I can lure Snake into an ambush or maybe somehow sneak into his room to see what he really knows or what he is really up to?"

"I do not think luring him in is the best action because by the sound of it, he sounds very intelligent stealthy, and strong. I do not think sneaking into his room is the best thing to do because if he is doing some snooping of his own, I'm quite sure he will have his room highly secured. Yeah, you do have the adaptive camouflage but I do not think that will be smart especially if you will be wearing that to the party. Unfortunately for you, you cannot wear the zero suit because of the attention you'll get from the other men but you can disguise by placing the adaptive camo underneath a nice pair of clothing that is not too revealing and easier enough for you to put over. Then maybe you can sneak through the shadows to analyze to see what he is planning or if anything but if I can recommend, change your hair color."

"Huh? But why?"

"Whoever he works for, he's looking at every picture and most likely he sees your eyes and hair through the helmet."

"Do you honestly think he is that good"? She asked.

"Not sure but it won't hurt if you do. It's always best to be safe rather than to be sorry."

True. I will come up with something but at the meantime, I'm going to come up with some game plans."

"Sounds good Samus. Adam off."

As both of them disconnected, she thought to herself, "What am I going to do?"

Welcome everyone. This is the first six chapters. I am very excited to be writing for all of you. To let you all, know, I do not remember if I have described about myself but to let all of you know, I am visual impaired/ blind so I do apologize if things do look a little funny but I will figure a way to correct my mistakes. I do appreciate every single person's review. If I do not receive a notification, I will look every other day to see if anything has come in. Again, I do love the reviews and if you love this so far or even a little too slow, it always helps me to get better. So, one more thing, as you can tell. I have been only working with maybe four characters and maybe what I describe might be off from their universe but I do promise there will be more interactions with the other Smashers but unfortunately as I write, I have to dig deep into some of the Smashers background such as Pikmin, Ike, and some others because of two things. Maybe I haven't listened to anyone play the game, or I wasn't really interested but I now want to get a feel who they are as characters. Also, since I am writing an alternative timeline which events, people who are normally good are actually evil in my story, or I will just come up with things as I go on, I really hope you all do not get upset when I incorrectly explain the motive of a character who you love because I want to make it feel different which I do see other authors do but I am going to keep the person realistic as much as possible from their counterpart but I will just change some things up but please forgive me for this long ass authors note but I am going to keep up with the personality of Solid Snake and I might bring the rating up to mature because of further chapters. For Snake, I just do not like how authors portray him as this womanizer, box loving freak or how incomparable he is like if he is a weak fighter. Yes, I do love SnakexSamus but I want to make it feel like their relationship is a slow burner then as the chapters go on, the slow burn can turn into a slow but intimate flame because I love how things are pushed slowly then when it does happen, you can finally say, "finally!" lol but thank you for reading, I hope to see you all soon. :()
