MIND

Hello again, everyone. This story is about to reach a rather thrilling halfway point. When we last saw each other, Sunset had discovered that it was Wallflower Blush who had possession of the Memory Stone. Unfortunately, she was quick to erase her memory along with those confronting her.

And now, with time running out before the sun sets, it seems as if there may not be any hope for Sunset to restore her friends' memories. What will she do, I wonder? Or rather… what did she do?

With the school day winding down at Canterlot High, barely anyone was in the hallways. They failed to hear the banging and shaking of the door to the yearbook room. Inside, Sunset was slamming her fists against it relentlessly.

"Is anybody out there?!" she cried out desperately, "Somebody open the door!" she yelled as she continued pounding away at the door. In the meantime, Trixie grunted as she leaned the unconscious figures of Ben and Sting up against one of the tables in the room. She looked at them worriedly before turning to Sunset.

"How come we're not asleep like them?" she questioned, pointing to the two teenage boys.

"Probably because they're from different universes or something… I don't know…" the Equestrian Magic user responded with a shake of her head, leaning back against the door, "If we don't get outta here and figure out who has the stone," she continued frantically, "in a few hours, it'll be too late to restore everyone's memories…" she noted, sliding down the door onto the floor, "I'll lose my friends forever…" she sadly mentioned.

"How are we supposed to catch someone who can erase our memory every time we get close to catching them?" Trixie inquired while pointing at her own head as an example. Sunset didn't have a response, stuffing her hands into her pockets. But then she felt something. She pulled out a piece of crumpled paper, widening her eyes.

"By being clever!" she realized.

"Wha…?" Trixie uttered in confusion, seeing her friend stand up and unfurl the scrap of paper.

"I wrote myself a note," she pointed out, "Check the video," she read, quickly going over to pick up Twilight's drone while carefully making sure not to step on Ben or Sting, "Yes!" she exclaimed upon noticing the blinking red light, "It's been recording this whole time!" she noted excitedly, picking up the remote control for the drone, looking at its screen before pressing the red button upon it.

"Twilight's camera?" Trixie said, raising an eyebrow, "What are you talking about?" she questioned, completely confused.

"I don't remember doing it," Sunset admitted in reply, "but I must've realized our memories would get erased," she pointed out, "so I pressed record!" she mentioned. Still befuddled, the amateur magician trotted over to see what her colleague was talking about. But as she approached, her right foot accidentally stepped on Ben's crotch.

"Ooh!" she yelped with a wince, causing the red-and-yellow-haired girl to glance over and shoot her a look, "Sorry…" she apologized sheepishly, carefully making her way over to stand beside her partner. She rewound the video with the press of a button, starting it from a point where she, Trixie, Ben and Sting were talking with Wallflower, who was seated at the computer.

"That's my garden," she had told the group, gesturing toward her background image on the monitor.

"Who's that?" Trixie asked, pointing at her.

"Wallflower Blush…" Sunset answered while narrowing her eyes, having recollected the perpetrator's name.

"Name's not ringing a bell…" Trixie admitted, putting her left hand onto her chin. The Equestrian Magic user beside her rolled her eyes.

"You don't see me fitting in~…" Wallflower suddenly sang on the video, enticing both girls to look back at it.

"Ugh," Trixie groaned in annoyance, pressing a button on the remote to fast-forward the scene of the freckled girl singing. Both she and Sunset noticed that it was taking a considerable amount of time to get through the ordeal. "Long song, huh?" the amateur magician noted, sharing a glance with the red-and-yellow-haired girl.

"What did I do to you?!" Sunset shouted in question on the video, confronting Wallflower as she was clutching her backpack tightly in her arms, "Honestly, I don't even know you!" she had yelled.

"Exactly!" Wallflower had angrily retorted as she glared at the Equestrian Magic user, "You had everyone fooled…" she had pointed out, causing Trixie to tense up as she put her right hand onto the back of her neck ashamedly, "but now they know you're still the Biggest Meanie!" she had proclaimed, causing both girls watching to blink in surprise.

"You're about to see how mean I can get!" Sunset had declared fiercely in response. That alone enticed the Equestrian Magic user to stop the video from playing any further. She already looked bad enough. And she knew that from there, Wallflower had likely erased their memories.

"She's… kinda right about you…" Trixie admitted as she nervously rubbed her right arm.

"Yeah, thanks…" Sunset replied sarcastically in annoyance, turning away after setting the remote control down onto the table, which she leaned back against.

"Actually, the Wise and Moralizing Trixie was making a point," the amateur magician told her, much to her surprise as she blinked, "You said you didn't do anything…" she recalled with an arched eyebrow.

"I didn't!" the Equestrian Magic user affirmed with a shrug, "I wasn't mean to her at all!" she mentioned.

"But maybe it's not good enough to not be mean to someone…" Trixie suggested in response, "Maybe you have to be nice…" she inferred with a small smile. Hearing that, Sunset's expression softened into a solemn one. She held her left arm for a moment before picking up the remote control, seeing Wallflower's frustrated face upon it.

"You're right…" she realized, looking back up at Trixie, "Not that it matters. We're still trapped in here…" she pointed out, exhaling a sad sigh, while the amateur magician frowned with her arms crossed, "Unless you can magic us out of here…" her partner assumed. Unfortunately, she shook her head.

"Ooh, what's the point in trying?" she grumbled in question, "You've seen enough of my tricks to know what'll happen…" she muttered as she turned away. Sunset looked back at the remote control in her hands, pressing the d-pad to go to the picture of her friends as she was in the background, watching sadly from the window.

"Huh…" she sighed out again, lowering the device to look over at Trixie, "At least when the sun goes down and everyone hates me forever…" she started to say, "I'll still have one friend at school in the morning," she noted, giving off a small smile.

"Huh?" the amateur magician uttered, glancing back at her partner with a raised eyebrow again.

"And I mean," she continued, "she is the Greatest and Powerfullest Canterlot High School has to offer," she noted, causing Trixie to let off a little smile herself, "so I guess I can't complain," she admitted, bumping her friend's shoulder with her left fist. Hearing all of that, the amateur magician was stirred. She never really did have someone to call a friend before. But if Sunset, someone she vowed vengeance against for not putting her in the yearbook, was willing to accept her as such, then she'd have to honor that. A confident smirk came across her face.

"You poor fool!" she exclaimed dramatically with her arms outstretched, "You actually believed me when I was pretending to give up?" she inquired rhetorically, while Sunset folded her arms underneath her chest and gave off a little grin, "Mere stage banter!" her friend proclaimed, "The Great and Powerful Trixie never gives up on herself… or her friends!" she declared to the Equestrian Magic user's shock. Realizing what she had just admitted, the amateur magician blinked. "I mean, her Pretty Decent Assistant-Detective-Helper People," she sheepishly corrected, "Behold!" she exclaimed, raising her right fist up, "The Magician's Exit!" she exclaimed, throwing down a smoke bomb to engulf the room in a dusty veil. When it cleared, she found herself in the hallway. "Yes!" she yelled excitedly with a jump, "It worked!" she realized as she had her hands on her head, "I finally did it!" she exclaimed. But as if to rain on her parade, there was a knocking on the door behind her.

"Still in here!" Sunset said from inside the yearbook room as her head was at the window.

"Ummm…" Trixie uttered, nervously laughing as she rubbed the side of her head, "Um, all part of the trick!" she claimed assuredly, "Have you out in a jiffy!" she promised with a swing of her arm. She then threw down another smoke bomb, engulfing her immediate surroundings in a dusty veil. When it cleared, Sunset was outside of the room. The amateur magician pulled up the door blind from inside to see that her trick hadn't worked properly again. With another smoke bomb, she found herself triumphantly outside… only to see that the Equestrian Magic user was back in the room.

Now getting annoyed with how repetitive things were, Trixie threw down one last smoke bomb nonchalantly. And as a result, she was back in the room, and Sunset was out. With a frustrated roll of her eyes, she decided to ultimately resign herself.

"You know what?" she said, "Just leave me in here…" she insisted, "Hurry, go!" she advised of her new friend.

"I owe you one, Trixie!" Sunset gratefully noted, "I will never forget this!" she promised before turning around and running off.

"Never say never!" Trixie called out as she pressed herself against the window.

"Ugh…" Ben groaned out, getting her attention as she looked over to see him stirring awake. She quickly and carefully went over, crouching beside him. She could only hope that Sunset was able to stop Wallflower before it was too late…

MOST LIKELY TO BE FORGOTTEN PART V

Sunset raced through the halls before turning the corner and bursting through the side doors. Immediately, she saw Wallflower walking toward the forest, passing by Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow, Pinkie, and Applejack, who were gathered around the latter's truck.

"Wallflower?!" the red-and-yellow-haired girl called out, running out onto the parking lot just as Flash drove up in his sports car, looking rather surprised. As Sunset passed by the girls, she tensed up and slowed down. She glanced over at them, seeing their confused and skeptical stares. Steeling herself, Sunset jogged on, knowing that everything would be back to normal soon if her plan worked out. "Wallflower, stop!" she yelled again, causing the freckled girl to halt herself in surprise.

"You remember my name?" she inquired as she turned around, raising an eyebrow.

"I remember everything," Sunset replied, "The Memory Stone, how I acted, all of it!" she listed off.

"What?!" Wallflower exclaimed with a blink of her eyes, "How?!" she questioned angrily, "I erased the whole afternoon!" she pointed out with outstretched arms. The girls from afar all overheard, perking up in shock as they looked over. The freckled girl grimaced as her cheeks went red.

"Agh…" Ben groaned from back in the yearbook room as his eyes fluttered open, "What… happened?" he asked, focusing his vision to see Trixie beside him.

"We had our memories erased earlier…" she told him, putting a hand onto his shoulder, "It turns out that, uh…" she tried to say, rubbing her chin with her left hand, "Oh, Wallflower!" she remembered with a snap of her fingers, "Yeah, Wallflower Blush is the one with the Memory Stone!" she pointed out.

"That… girl with the sweater?" Ben recalled in question, slowly standing up, "Where is she now?" he asked, looking around the room, "And where's Sunset?" he inquired on.

"Sunset went ahead to go find Wallflower," Trixie answered as she got onto her feet, "It was thanks to the Great and Powerful Trixie's magical arts that she was able to escape our confinement…" she boasted, causing the Omni Force leader to roll his eyes, "Oh, and she mentioned that if she doesn't get the stone by the time the sun sets tonight," she continued as he looked at her in confusion, "her friends' memories will be gone forever," she said.

"…WHAT?!" Ben exclaimed with widened eyes. Almost immediately, he enveloped himself in a green flash of light as Trixie shielded her eyes with her arms. She opened them, blinking in surprise to see that he had transformed himself into a magma-based lifeform whose body was composed of a bright yellow inner magma body covered by a dark red or brown rocks. As a fire-based entity, his body radiated high amounts of heat with his head enflamed. His feet had a slight oval-like design with only two toes and one back toe. To top it off, the Biomnitrix symbol was at his chest.

"…Huh," Trixie uttered out, "I… totally forgot you could do that…" she admitted as she backed up a step. The door was blasted off of its hinges from a fiery punch by Heatblast, who ran out into the hallway. He enveloped himself in another flash of light to turn into an animalistic creature with orange fur that appeared to have no eyes, ears, nose, or tail present upon him. However, gill-like nostrils were upon each side of his neck, as his teeth had become more defined. The device's symbol had moved down to the new green and white collar around his neck. He sniffed the floor to pick up his friend's scent, quickly heading off to find her. In the meantime, Trixie peeked out from the doorway worriedly. Something about how Ben was acting was very concerning.

"Agh…" Sting groaned out, getting her attention as she turned to see him sit up, "What's going on?" he asked, rubbing the back of his head.

"I'll explain on the way!" Trixie promised, grabbing him by his left arm and hoisting him onto his feet, "We need to hurry!" she insisted to his surprise, dragging him out of the room as he yelped. Back outside, Sunset stood off with Wallflower, who was still flustered from accidentally revealing what she had done. But the red-and-yellow-haired girl wasn't going to take advantage of that. Instead, she wanted to do something right.

"Listen…" she said, "I used to be just like you…" she pointed out solemnly, "Sure, I was popular, but… I was lonely…" she admitted, putting her right hand over her heart.

"You're nothing like me…" Wallflower argued in response, "and I'm not lonely, because I have… plants!" she yelled, only to realize what she had just said, "That sounded less lonely in my head…" she confessed, glancing off to the side as she put her right hand onto her forehead.

"I'm sorry, Wallflower," Sunset apologized as she tried to get closer to the freckled girl.

"No, you're not…" she responded with bitterness in her tone, "You're just trying to look good in front of your friends!" she pointed out, taking notice of how the six girls near the truck all seemed shocked by the revelations from the conversation, "And it's working!" she realized in frustration, grabbing her head with both of her hands, "GAH!" she screamed, "How am I supposed to get back at you if nothing I do matters?!" she questioned loudly, "I HATE YOU!" she shouted venomously at Sunset, followed by widening her eyes as she covered her mouth from what she just said.

The red-and-yellow-haired girl winced from hearing the confession, while the girls off to the side were all shocked. Just knowing how much Wallflower resented her, Sunset figured that anyone else could've said the same thing when she had been bad. And that made her want to make things right even more. But the freckled girl didn't seem willing to give her that chance.

"I wanted to teach you a lesson by erasing your friends' good memories of you," she told the red-and-yellow-haired girl, taking off her backpack and reaching into it, "But obviously… that didn't work…" she pointed out as she grabbed the Memory Stone. The other girls from afar took notice, wondering what she was going to do. "But what if I erased all their memories of high school?" she inferred, taking on a rather sinister grin.

"You can't!" Sunset yelled pleadingly as she looked back at the girls, "You'd be stealing their memories of each other!" she pointed out in a desperate tone.

"They'll think of each other the way you think of me…" Wallflower snarled back, dropping her bag and walking past the red-and-yellow-haired girl as the Memory Stone glowed in her hands, "Which is not at all!" she exclaimed, unleashing a turquoise beam of light towards the group of girls, going through a trio of magic circles.

"NOOO!" Sunset screamed, lunging out to let the beam strike her instead. A greenish electricity sparked around her, with a turquoise glow coming off of her body. Everyone gasped, widening their eyes at how the red-and-yellow-haired had seemingly sacrificed herself for them. "I've ruined their friendship once before…" she noted aloud, trying to push herself up from the pavement, "I'd rather give up my own memories than let it happen again!" she yelled as the six girls all watched on in awe. The greenish light surrounding Sunset then swirled around to her forehead, where a spinning mark appeared, shaped like a sun. She grunted in pain, feeling her mind start to lose everything she had gained up to now. "Fluttershy!" she exclaimed as a yellow light like a film strip left her head. She desperately reached for it, but to no avail as it was sucked into the Memory Stone. "No!" she gasped out, "Applejack!" she exclaimed as an orange strip of memories left her head. She rose onto her knees, grunting in agony again, "Rarity…!" she exclaimed, grimacing as a white memory strip left her head, "Aah!" she shrieked in agony, grabbing at her head while her memories were being pulled into the magic artifact.

At that moment, Wildmutt burst through the side doors, transforming back into Ben in a green flash of light. He looked out, widening his eyes in horror to see the scene unfolding before him. He made a desperate run toward his best friend.

"Rainbow Dash!" Sunset screamed as the girls were horrified by the scene unfolding in front of them, "Pinkie Pie!" she yelled, losing a pink strip of memories. With the last bit of her strength, she turned to the only girl whose memories hadn't left her just yet. "Twilight…!" she gasped out, "Don't forget me!" she pleaded as the strip of memories began to leave her. The spectacled girl could only gasp in fright.

"NOOOOOOOOOO!" Ben screamed as he lunged out in an attempt to grab the strip, only to fail as it was sucked into the Memory Stone. Wallflower seemed just as shocked by Sunset's self-sacrifice as anyone else was. Everyone watched as she fell over onto the pavement. "Sunset!" the Omni Force leader exclaimed in fright, going over and putting a hand onto her shoulder, "Are you still there?" he inquired, panicking and looking as if he was on the verge of a breakdown. To his relief, the red-and-yellow-haired girl opened her eyes and pushed herself up onto her hands and knees. However, her expression shifted into bewilderment.

"This isn't Canterlot…" she pointed out, causing Ben to momentarily raise an eyebrow, "Where am I?" she inquired aloud as everyone looked on worriedly with shock, "Princess Celestia?" she called out, starting to panic.

"Oh no…" the Biomnitrix bearer uttered in realization, while Wallflower grimaced as she thought she had taken too much of Sunset's memory away.

"What's happened to me?" she asked as she opened her right hand up, "Somepony… help me!" she pleaded.

"Sunset, calm down…" Ben insisted, holding onto her shoulder with his right hand, getting her attention, "You're gonna be fine, I promise…" he vowed to her. Her shaking eyes weren't reassured.

"Wh…Who are you?" she asked in a stutter. And with that, the Omni Force leader emotionally broke. Tears flowed down his face as he whimpered, realizing that he had been too late.

"No, no, no…" he mumbled through his tears as the girls all watched on sadly. But then they saw him clench his fists, slowly turning his head toward Wallflower. She stepped back upon seeing the fierce glare he was shooting her.

"Why…?" he growled in question, starting to stand up. At that moment, Trixie and Sting burst through the doors onto the parking lot. They lightly gasped to see the scene laid out before them.

"I-It wasn't supposed to be her!" Wallflower stammered in claim to the Biomnitrix bearer, backing up a few more steps.

"You're trying to destroy the life she built up after everything she did…" Ben noted angrily as he started to step forward.

"B-Ben?" Rainbow stuttered out in concern. The freckled girl's legs were shaking in fright. The glare the Omni Force leader was giving her was practically burning into her entire being.

"Sh…She needed to be taught a lesson!" she shouted out. Ben stopped.

"A lesson…?" he repeated in confusion, clenching his fists tightly as both gauntlets of the Biomnitrix glowed brightly, "You take away her life… just to teach her a lesson…?!" he inquired on, gnashing his teeth together. Wallflower's eyes shook as she could tell that he was about to snap.

"I—!"

"YOU KILLED HER!" Ben bellowed, screaming in frustration before smacking the Biomnitrix gauntlets together, resulting in a bright green flash of light that everyone had to shield their eyes from. They watched as his body morphed, growing larger as an extra pair of arms and a tail shot out from him. His skin became a violent red, while he gained another pair of green eyes.

Wallflower was especially terrified as she fell onto her bottom, sweating madly. When the light finally subsided, it revealed that Ben had become a bipedal, dinosaur-like alien with four arms. His skin was two-toned, being a dark red on the outer part, while it was light on the inner part. His four arms had several spikes upon them with black, fingerless gloves that had green cuffs. He also had spikes along his head, which had four green eyes. For clothes, he wore a white belt with a green stripe, along with black pants that went above the belt. His feet were two-toed with grey toenails. He had black, beard-like stripes upon his face, which had a dinosaur-like nose. The Biomnitrix symbol was located on his green sash, draping over his right shoulder.

"RRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!" he roared out.

"That… isn't normal, is it?" Trixie assumed, evidently mortified.

"No, it's not…" Sting replied with a grimace, "Get everyone outta here!" he insisted, enveloping his fists in a bright white light to her surprise, "Ben, stop!" he called out as he ran toward the Tetramand/Vaxasaurian hybrid. He growled as he stomped toward Wallflower, who was frozen in fear.

"I-I didn't mean for all this to happen…!" she whimpered in claim as she held up the Memory Stone, "Please, don't!" she pleaded.

"You should've thought of that before you took my friend away!" Fourmungousaur roared out, rearing his right fists back.

"White Dragon Iron Fist!" Sting yelled, striking the Tetramand/Vaxasaurian hybrid upside the head, knocking him aside. Everyone widened their eyes in shock. "Ben, stop it!" the Sabertooth guildmaster yelled, "I don't think she wants to hurt anyone!" he pointed out, gesturing toward Wallflower.

"Get out of my way!" the fusion alien demanded, swinging his four arms down at the White Dragon Slayer. He jumped back to dodge them as they struck the pavement, resulting in a powerful tremor that shook the parking lot. Everyone around stumbled from the force, with some falling over onto their hands and knees. Twilight looked out and gasped to see some debris from the impact heading toward Sunset, who gasped as she shielded herself with her arms. Reacting quickly, the spectacled girl ignited her hands in a sparkling fuchsia light, sticking them out. The same aura shrouded the debris, being stopped completely.

"Huh?" the red-and-yellow-haired girl uttered in surprise, looking back at Twilight. She seemed just as shocked about saving the girl who she knew as somewhat of a bully. The other girls were as well. But they could tell that there were people that really cared about Sunset. There were people who were her friends. And from what they had learned earlier, they were, too.

Meanwhile, Sting continued to dodge Fourmungousaur's attacks, cloaking his fists in white light to parry each of his heavy blows. The Tetramand/Vaxasaurian hybrid brought his upper hands up, locking them together before bringing them down onto the White Dragon Slayer, who gasped in surprise. He crossed his arms over his head to block the attack, but found himself getting pressed against the pavement as it cracked beneath his feet.

"Ben… you gotta calm down…!" he grunted out pleadingly to his colleague, who brought all four of his arms up. All of a sudden, he found himself pulled back by his tail, causing him to yelp. He looked back in surprise to Applejack holding him back, gritting her teeth together.

"Listen to yer friend, Ben!" she insisted, "You really wanna throw away bein' a hero?!" she yelled in question. At that moment, several diamond-shaped, sky blue barricades were projected out, surrounding the Tetramand/Vaxasaurian hybrid. They pressed against him, locking his arms down as he grimaced. From afar, Rarity was sweating as she held her hands out.

"I… don't think I can hold him forever!" she noted aloud, grunting in agony.

"It'll be long enough!" Rainbow assured, speeding over as a multicolored light was in her wake. The barriers around Fourmungousaur started cracking. Wallflower was still in complete fright. She didn't mean for any of this to happen. All she wanted to do was to get back at Sunset for being ignorant of her mistakes. But now, she didn't know what she really wanted.

"RRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" the Tetramand/Vaxasaurian hybrid roared as he shattered the diamond-like barriers around him, causing Rarity to fall over. Thankfully, Fluttershy was there to catch her from behind. In the meantime, Applejack found herself shaken off of Fourmungousaur's tail, being sent flying. Pinkie hopped up to catch her friend, landing down safely with her.

The fusion alien turned his attention toward Wallflower, glaring at her with all four of his green eyes. He started his charge as she crawled back in fright, with tears flowing down her cheeks. But all of a sudden, a figure sped in front of her, being none other than Rainbow as she outstretched her arms.

"STOPPPPP!" she screamed, enticing the Tetramand/Vaxasaurian hybrid to halt himself, breathing heavily and angrily.

"Move, Rainbow…" he growled in demand. The rainbow-haired girl was evidently nervous. But she steeled herself.

"I don't remember being your girlfriend… or being Sunset's friend…" she pointed out in admittance, "But I can tell that you really care about her," she noted on, "So don't do this!" she insisted with a shake of her head, "It's not gonna make things better!" she mentioned seriously. Fourmungousaur's breathing calmed, but his glare remained firm.

"Ben…" Sting uttered, getting his attention, "You remember what you told me that night? About how I shouldn't always be so close to Sunset?" he questioned, "I could've ended up doing exactly what you're trying to do!" he told him, causing the Tetramand/Vaxasaurian hybrid to blink in surprise, "You talked me down and showed me that I didn't always need to be Sunset's right hand guy all the time," he explained on, "And I'm willing to talk you down, too," he promised additionally.

"Would Sunset really want you to do this?" Rainbow asked on, getting his attention, "Is this what a hero would do?" she questioned, sounding solemn.

"I…" Fourmungousaur uttered out, looking over to his best friend, who was evidently scared. And that wasn't just because she had lost her memories before coming to this world. It was also because of the rampage she had just witnessed. But at that moment, a hand came onto her shoulder, being Twilight's.

"Who... are you?" she asked her.

"We're your friends," she answered with a soft smile, followed by giving off a determined glare toward Wallflower.

"We may not remember you…" Applejack admitted as she came over alongside Pinkie, taking on a serious expression herself.

"But after seeing what you did…" the puffy-haired girl continued.

"…The sacrifice you made for us…" Rarity kept going, crossing her arms confidently over her chest.

"…We'd be proud to call you…" Fluttershy started to say, approaching alongside Rainbow.

"…our friend!" the six girls around Sunset exclaimed together. They each put a hand onto the red-and-yellow-haired girl, whose pendant began sparking with energy as she took notice, widening her eyes in surprise. Wallflower gasped as she stood up, wondering what was about to happen.

The pendants upon all seven of the Equestrian Magic users shined brightly, with marks upon their cheeks. In a flash of light, each of them transformed. Twilight gained a pair of wings and pony ears, having a long, braided ponytail as well. Her outfit consisted of a sparkling sky blue battle dress with a deep violet skirt, purplish-pink leggings under boots with star markings upon them, magenta armbands, and a tiara with several magenta stars upon it.

Sunset wound up with pony ears and a long ponytail, while a pair of golden-glowing wings of light appeared behind her. Her new outfit was a glittery red dress with a translucent skirt and sun-shaped markings, red leggings underneath thigh-high black-and-yellow boots, glittery black armbands, and a hairband with spikes upon it. Needless to say, she was befuddled by the sudden transformation.

Rainbow gained a pair wings and pony ears, with her hair becoming a long ponytail as it grew a little messier. For attire, she now had a blue-and-red shirt with a rainbow bolt on the chest, having dark, glittery leggings under blue-and-red sneakers that had wings upon them. She also and a pair of arm bracers that were red, blue, and gold.

Fluttershy's transformation granted her pairs of wings and pony ears, while her hair was now a long, flowing ponytail decorated with barrettes of butterflies and flowers. Her outfit was now a sparkling purple dress that included a light green, translucent skirt with floral markings at the them. She also had pink slippers with butterflies upon them.

Pinkie wound up with a puffy ponytail and a pair of pony ears. Her new attire included a puffy, blue-and-pink dress with what looked like lavender streamers coming from the band around her waist. There was a heart-shaped mark at the chest with a trio of balloons inside, and she also wore yellow gloves and bright high heels with yellow soles.

Applejack gained a pair of pony ears with her long ponytail that had some braiding. Her outfit was now a collared blue shirt with a brown belt that had an apple-shaped buckle. She also had a sparkling red, wavy skirt and a pair of brown boots with apples upon them. Her cowgirl hat also gained some sparkled and an apple-shaped marking in red.

Lastly, Rarity's transformation gave her pony ears and a long, curly ponytail. Her outfit was now a blue-and-lavender dress with diamond-shaped markings and glittery portions. She had a yellow tiara with diamonds as well, long blue gloves, and white high-heeled boots that shined with diamonds. All seven of the girls floated up in the air as everyone present in the parking lot watched in awe.

"Wallflower!" Twilight called out, pointing toward the freckled girl, "You have magic you do not understand!" she proclaimed, "But it is nothing compared to the Magic of—!"

"Yeah, yeah, we get it," Pinkie interjected as she shrugged, much to her spectacled friend's surprise, "Light her up, ladies!" she bellowed in command. All seven of the girls joined hands, with their pendants unleashing rays of energy, coming together to form one bright, sparkling beam. It shot down toward Wallflower, hitting the Memory Stone in her grasp.

Moments after the beam subsided, the magic item imploded, causing her to fall over onto the pavement. From the greenish-gold light that remained of the stone, strips of memory flew out in every direction. Some were small, while others seemed longer. Each of them went back into the heads of those in the area as the freckled girl below grimaced.

Afterwards, they came down onto the ground. Sunset felt her head for a moment, trying to recompose herself. She stood up and turned around to see Twilight and the others there.

"Twilight… Sparkle?" she uttered, smiling as she realized that she remembered her friend.

"Sunset Shimmer!" she exclaimed, going over with the other girls to embrace their friend as they sighed with relief "We're so sorry…" Twilight apologized for the group.

"I'm just… glad to have you all back…" Sunset admitted in response, almost on the verge of tears.

"Sunset!" Sting called out, getting her attention as she saw him run over, "Are you… you again?" he inquired.

"I remember how we got voted 'Best Couple'…" she remarked in response, giggling a little. The White Dragon Slayer chuckled in response.

"Good to have you back, milady," he said, making her smile. At that moment, the group heard beeping from nearby, looking over to see Fourmungousaur becoming engulfed in a bright flash of green light, transforming back into Ben. He looked over to the girls, seeing Rainbow in particular widen her eyes.

"Babe!" she cried out, speeding over to happily hug him, "Oh, I'm so sorry!" she apologized, peppering him with kisses, "I promise I'll never forget you again!" she vowed, continuing to peck his cheeks and lips with her own. However, he suddenly grabbed her by her shoulders, enticing her to stop. She blinked in surprise to see the ashamed look on his face.

"It… wasn't your fault, sweetheart…" he assured with a shake of his head, "I know that…" he added as he gave her a small smile, kissing her sweetly. He then let go and approached the others. "I…" he tried to say, sighing with shame, "I'm so—" Sunset suddenly hugging him stopped his apology as he yelped in surprise.

"Looks like finally got both watches to work," she noted with a grin, holding him warmly. Ben blinked in shock, followed by letting out a chuckle.

"Yeah…" he replied, hugging her back, "I guess I did…" he concluded. Everyone around watched on with smiles.

"Hey!" a voice called out, causing them to perk up as they saw Trixie running over alongside Flash, "I remember everything that happened!" she announced excitedly, "Well, I obviously remembered the whole Pretty Decent Assistant-Detective-Helper Person thing we did," she mentioned in a boastful manner, "but I remember the other good stuff you did, too!" she added, "Saving the Friendship Games, what you did at Camp Everfree…" she listed off.

"Wait, you and she teamed up?" Rainbow asked of Sunset as she came over, raising an eyebrow.

"It's a long story…" her red-and-yellow-haired girl replied with a roll of her eyes.

"I don't know how, but my memories of you were just… gone at some point," Flash told her, getting her attention, "Then when you blasted that stone to bits… they came back," he pointed out with a snap of his fingers.

"Yeah…" Sunset confirmed as she nodded. She then looked over to Wallflower, who was turned away and seated on the ground, rubbing her head in pain. The red-and-yellow-haired girl approached, getting her attention as she grimaced.

"I'm so ashamed…" she mumbled out, "When I first found the Memory Stone, I only erased little things…" she noted, holding a piece of the destroyed relic in between her fingers, "awkward hellos, saying the wrong thing, literally any public speaking…" she listed off, evidently regretful for all that she had done as she buried her head in her arms.

"I've had plenty of awkward moments I wish I could erase, too," Twilight pointed out as she trotted over alongside Ben and Sting.

"But it's no excuse," Wallflower retorted as she glanced back at them, "I was so used to erasing memories that I got completely carried away…" she confessed, turning to the group, "I'm sorry for everything…" she apologized.

"It's okay," Sunset assured with a smile, "I'm sorry, too," she mentioned apologetically, "I may have stopped being mean…" she noted, "but a Great and Powerful friend helped me realize I still wasn't very nice to you," she told the freckled girl, "Everyone matters, Wallflower," she said, approaching her and crouching down slightly, "No matter how insignificant or invisible they feel," she added firmly.

"And you know," Ben chimed in, "those awkward moments, those little blips of embarrassment…" he listed off as he came over, "They can lead to some of the best memories you'll have with friends," he noted, putting his hands onto his hips, "I can speak from experience," he mentioned, shooting a wink over to Sunset, who giggled. She then offered her hand to Wallflower. She was somewhat hesitant at first. But after hearing how sincere the red-and-yellow-haired girl was, she gratefully accepted her hand as a blush formed on her cheeks. Sunset pulled her up, bringing her into an embrace.

"Huh…" Sting sighed in relief, "All's well that ends well…" he remarked, folding his arms behind his head.

"Undoubtedly…" Rarity agreed.

"By the way…" Ben said, letting out an awkward cough as Sunset and Wallflower let go of each other, "sorry for threatening to rampage on you…" he apologized sheepishly to the freckled girl.

"Oh, uh, it's okay…" she assured in response with a stutter.

"So that Four Arms and Humungousaur alien was part of your new Omnitrix upgrade?!" Rainbow inquired excitedly as she zipped up to her boyfriend's side.

"Yeah…" he replied, "All I gotta do is figure out better combos for the future…" he pointed out as he checked his gauntlets. The others went over to take a closer look out of curiosity, offering suggestions. Sunset sighed, happy that things had worked out in the end.

And so, the memories of Sunset and her friends have been restored. All seems well… But this story isn't over just yet…

"It's… not over?" Pinkie questioned, arching an eyebrow in confusion.

"What's not over, Pinkie Pie?" Rainbow asked upon overhearing her.

"Uh…" her perky friend uttered, unsure of how to phrase things. Just then, the girls noticed a yellow glow coming from nearby. It was emitting from the piece of the Memory Stone Wallflower still had in her possession.

"Ah!" she yelped, feeling a burning heat come from it. Once it hit the pavement, an explosion of light burst out, enticing everyone around to shield their eyes. When it subsided, Sunset was the first to look out and blink in surprise. Lying upon the ground was a glowing yellow stone. Everyone was in awe. And what they didn't yet realize was that there were eyes already upon it.

X

Everyone stared at the glowing yellow stone for what seemed like a solid minute. They had assumed everything was over and done with, yet this sudden development raised more than just a few eyebrows.

"Uh… what just happened?" Rainbow asked, completely befuddled.

"I thought we just destroyed the stone…" Fluttershy pointed out as she turned to the others.

"Our memories are back, so…" Rarity started to note, confused by the development as well.

"Sunset…" Twilight uttered, getting the attention of the red-and-yellow-haired girl, "doesn't that look like one of the gems we saw back at Camp Everfree?" she inquired.

"Yeah, but…" she began replying, "I don't think this is Equestrian Magic…" she admitted, crouching down to get a better look at the stone.

"It's not magic from my world either…" Sting mentioned as he narrowed his eyes.

"So… what is it?" Ben asked, arching an eyebrow.

"Whatever it is, it was part of the Memory Stone," Sunset pointed out in response, "And I think the best thing for us to do is to make sure we destroy whatever piece of it there is left," she added seriously, "That way, it doesn't get into the wrong hands," she said, reaching out to grab the stone. But suddenly, a pair of sharp metal claws shot out in front of her. "AH!" she yelped with widened eyes, stumbling back a step, "Huh?" she uttered, seeing that they originated from none other than the costumed Laura, who growled.

"It's you…" Sting noted, causing everyone to glance over at him in surprise.

"Wait, that's the claw girl you ran into the other day?" Ben inquired, pointing toward the mutant.

"Yeah…" the White Dragon Slayer confirmed in reply as he nodded. He and the others watched as Laura took out a ball-shaped object, pressing a button upon it to make six sections of one half open. She put it down over the stone to contain it, having the sections close. Everyone was confused. But Sunset took on a determined expression as she stepped forward.

"Hey, wait," she said as the mutant girl stood up, glancing back at her, "That thing's dangerous," she noted, pointing toward the containment device, "It could've done some real harm if we didn't stop it in time, but we need to make sure we completely destroy it," she explained seriously, "So please…" she pleaded, holding out her right hand. Laura narrowed her eyes onto her. "Huh…" she sighed in realization, "I'm not going to ask again," she stated firmly, taking a ready stance as her fists glowed with a reddish, sparkling light.

"Sunset…" Twilight uttered worriedly. Both she and Laura were in quite the standoff, with their eyes fixed on each other. But then, the latter perked up in surprise. She whipped her head around… and saw a blue laser bolt streak by. It struck the ground between the whole group, enveloping them in a burst of dust as they yelped.

Sunset coughed into her left fist, wondering what that was. She opened her eyes… blinking in bewilderment to see the silhouette of Laura with her claws drawn, appearing to be battling against a pair of figures in the dust. The red-and-yellow haired girl was about to rush in and help, but then something crashed down in front of her, blowing her back along with the dust cloud. She landed on her back, grimacing in pain before sitting up. A sharp gasp left her lips as she widened her eyes to see Obsidian looming just ahead of her. Behind him, Proxima and Corvus were dueling the mutant girl.

The former of the two swung her spear to strike their foe's right arm, forcing her to let go of the spherical container. It fell onto the ground and rolled to the feet of Maw. Telekinetically, he floated it up into his right hand.

"At last… we've found it," he declared. In the meantime, Laura was granted a slash across her chest by Corvus, who kicked her away as she tumbled over the pavement, coming to a stop upon her stomach beside Sunset. She gasped as she saw the blood spilling from the mutant girl.

"Hey, are you okay?!" she immediately asked, crawling over to turn her onto her back. Immediately, she blinked in surprise to see the cut miraculously close up in an instant, with Laura growling as she sat up. Maw looked over and grinned.

"Sunset Shimmer…" he uttered out, getting the red-and-yellow-haired girl's attention as she blinked in surprise, "It's been quite some time…" he noted, seeing her stand up.

"Do I… know you?" she inquired, raising an eyebrow in confusion.

"Hm… I suppose you don't just yet…" he responded vaguely, looking over towards the others, "I see that he is here as well…" he mentioned upon spotting Ben. Sunset focused on the container resting in the Black Order leader's hand.

"What do you want with the stone?" she asked.

"A fascinating question…" Maw responded, "Unfortunately, none of you will be alive to hear the answer," he mentioned to her surprise, "Kill them," he instructed of his colleagues.

"Hff," Obsidian huffed, readying his multi-tooled hammer. He shot the head of it out toward Sunset and Laura as it was attached to a chain.

"Ah!" the former yelped, grabbing the mutant girl and disappearing with her in a flash of amber light, evading the hammer as it streaked by and struck the brick wall of the school building. Sunset and Laura reappeared beside the others, who were all stunned by what just occurred. Proxima and Corvus charged towards them alongside their bulky adopted brother. Ben quickly shifted his expression into a serious one.

"Trixie, Flash, Wallflower," he called out, getting the trio's attention, "Evacuate the school and tell Celestia and Luna what's happening," he instructed.

"We'll handle this," Twilight assured, lighting her hands up in a sparkling, magenta aura.

"Okay, got it," Flash responded, running back to the side door.

"The Heroic and Selfless Trrrixxie shall definitely—!"

"Just go!" Ben shouted, interjecting her.

"Sorry…" she apologized, hurrying off. Wallflower had yet to follow though, watching as the group was about to battle the Black Order. Rainbow sped forward toward Proxima, ready to ram into her. However, she fired a laser bolt from her spear, striking the athlete's legs and tripping her up as she tumbled across the pavement to a stop.

Proxima was ready to pierce through her skull with her weapon, but it was suddenly caught by Applejack's lasso, as she yanked her aside. Meanwhile, Corvus closed in on Rarity, who quickly projected a diamond-shaped barrier from her gloved hands. He slashed through it, drawing nearer and nearer each time he shattered her defenses. He was about to land a powerful with his glaive, but then Sting rushed in and clocked him in the face with his glowing left fist, making him slide back along the pavement.

Obsidian's chain hammer retracted as he stomped towards Ben, Twilight, Pinkie, and Fluttershy. The former three all took on determined expressions, while the latter looked very nervous. Their foe growled.

"Okay watches…" the Omni Force leader began as he looked at both of his Biomnitrix gauntlets, "Now would be a really great time for a Way Big and Humungousaur combo!" he exclaimed, smacking them together… only for nothing to happen, "Wait… what?!" he yelped out. Both gauntlets displayed a caution symbol upon their dials rather than the transformations that he wanted to combine. "Oh no, don't tell me I broke it already!" he muttered aloud.

"WATCH OUT!" Pinkie screamed, tackling him aside to avoid getting crushed by Obsidian's hammer, while Twilight and Fluttershy jumped back. The spectacled girl then levitated several pieces of debris over, all of which struck their alien foe as he winced. But he hardly seemed affected afterwards, standing up and gritting his teeth as he glared at Twilight.

"Okay… that didn't work…" she realized with a grimace. Sunset looked around in a panic. After snapping her spear free from Applejack's lasso, Proxima swung it around to clothesline Rainbow, causing her to crash into the cowgirl as they tumbled away. Corvus slashed Sting's arm open with his glaive, making him wince in agony. Rarity projected a layered set of diamond-shaped shields to defend him, but their foe was breaking through each one. Twilight flew around, trying to hit Obsidian with more debris. But like before, he was unaffected. He morphed his hammer into a claw, which shot out and entrapped the spectacled girl as she yelped in surprise.

He swung her around, sending her flying toward the school. Fortunately, Fluttershy flew over to catch her in the nick of time. The bulky alien then turned his attention toward Ben and Pinkie, as the latter reached into her hair to pull out a plastic jar of sprinkles. She poured some out, flinging them toward Obsidian as they glowed. They exploded in his face as he yelped, followed by growling angrily.

"Your friends aren't as equipped to face us as you might have once imagined…" Maw noted, getting Sunset's attention along with Laura's, "It's a wonder that we even failed to stop you at all…" he mentioned as he grinned.

"Listen, I don't even know who you are!" the red-and-yellow-haired girl retorted emphatically, "But you better give that stone back right—!"

"RRRRAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Laura roared as she charged forward, drawing both sets of her adamantium claws from her knuckles.

"Hey, wait!" Sunset cried out, but to no avail as the mutant girl kept on her path toward the telekinetic.

"Childish… and arrogant…" he muttered out, extending his right hand forward. Laura then started floating up into the air, snarling angrily all the while as her foe smirked. "Proxima," he called out.

"Just a moment," his adopted sister responded, setting her spear onto her arm and firing a blue laser bolt as if it were a sniper rifle, striking Rainbow squarely in the chest as she fell over in a heap.

"DASH!" Ben and Sunset simultaneously screamed. Applejack quickly ran over to check on the downed athlete. But out of nowhere, Obsidian jumped over and slammed his multi-tooled hammer into her side, sending her flying until she crashed against her truck, causing it to topple over onto its side.

"Ugh…" she groaned out in agony.

"Applejack, no!" Sunset yelled in fright. Meanwhile, Corvus slashed through the last of Rarity's barriers, about to pierce her with his glaive. She gasped, but Sting stepped in and took the attack as the blade went through his left shoulder, causing blood to gush out.

"Hmph," Corvus scoffed, "Admirable… but foolish…" he remarked before yanking his weapon out of the White Dragon Slayer, who let out a shaky gasp before falling over onto the ground.

"Sting!" Rarity shrieked. Corvus went ahead and smacked her with the blunt end of his glaive, knocking her down right beside the Sabertooth guildmaster. Sunset was very frightened. Now her friends' lives were at stake over just their memories earlier. She then saw Twilight, Fluttershy, Pinkie and Ben charging over, knowing that they had to get the stone back from their alien enemies. However, Proxima leapt out and landed in front of them.

Raising her spear up, she pierced it against the pavement, causing a surge of electricity to discharge. It zapped both Pinkie and Ben, who screamed in pain before falling over in heaps as their airborne friends gasped in fright. Both of them wound up tackled to the ground by Corvus and Obsidian respectively, yelping out of agony.

"Girls!" Sunset screamed, gnashing her teeth together as she glared at Maw, "Let my friends go! NOW!" she demanded, lighting her hands up in a reddish-gold aura.

"Hmph," the telekinetic scoffed while letting off a smirk, "As expected, you fail to have any sense of composure…" he pointed out, nodding to Proxima. She turned around and fired her spear at Laura's back, piercing through it as blood sprayed out. Sunset gasped in shock, seeing her get pulled down to the ground, hitting it upon her stomach. She growled angrily as she tried to push herself up, only for Proxima to press her down with her left foot, making her yell in agony.

"This one has a healing factor…" she muttered out.

"It won't matter," Maw assured, holding up the spherical container in his left hand, "Now we're one step closer to reclaiming his grand design…" he noted, narrowing his eyes and grinning.

"Sunset…!" Twilight grunted out while still being pinned by Obsidian, getting the red-and-yellow-haired girl's attention, "The stone…!" she exclaimed, "Get the stone!" she screamed pleadingly before her head was slammed down by the bulky alien. Acting quickly, Sunset unleashed a pair of reddish-gold beams of light towards Proxima and Maw. The former of the two noticed too late as she was struck in the back, while her adopted brother had a mound of earth shoot up from the pavement to block the beam. However, he suddenly found himself struck in the face by his foe's glowing left fist, causing him to drop the spherical container as it rolled away.

Before he could go and retrieve it, he and Sunset interlocked hands, glaring at each other fiercely. The Equestrian Magic user growled, making her hands glow a bright gold as her enemy winced. Corvus and Obsidian noticed.

"Brother!" the former called out in a panic.

"Now let's see what you're hiding from me…" Sunset decided, tightening her grip. Her eyes flashed a bright white as she started to peer into Maw's head. She was seeing several confusing ordeals, noticing other creatures around including a particular figure with purple skin and multiple ridges on his chin. She could see the gauntlet over his left hand, having six indentations upon it.

And then, she found herself witnessing something astonishing. It looked she was battling the purple creature, whose left arm was gone. And as he lunged out at her with his double-edged blade in his lone hand, a figure got in between them. It was Star Butterfly. Sunset snapped back to reality as her eyes went back to normal, widening them in abject horror.

"Star…?" she uttered out. That moment of distraction allowed for Maw to let go of her hands and raise them, causing a mound of earth to come up from the ground and entrap her. She grunted angrily, ready to break free at any moment. But then, the blade of Corvus' glaive neared her throat.

"Do anything… and you will die," he threatened.

"Agh…" Proxima groaned as she stood up, stomping over with her fists clenched, "We should kill her now…" she insisted in a growl.

"Indeed," Maw agreed, "The rest will soon follow," he vowed, nodding to Corvus. He was ready to slash Sunset's throat open.

"STOP!" a voice yelled, getting their attentions as they looked over to see Wallflower standing there, holding the glowing yellow rock in her right hand, which was covered by a gardening glove.

"Wallflower…" Sunset uttered, widening her eyes in horror.

"Child…" Maw began, turning to the freckled girl, "give us the stone," he demanded, holding his right hand out, "Or your friends will perish," he threatened. Wallflower's legs shook. She saw that not everyone was back on their feet just yet. She was essentially facing the Black Order alone. But she steeled herself.

"Hurt any of them, and I'll use this!" she declared, aiming the stone forward, "I know how!" she pointed out. Sunset gasped in surprise.

"You… can wield the stone?" Maw wondered aloud as his eyes slowly widened.

"She's bluffing…" Proxima huffed out, "Let's take the stone and be done with this," she insisted.

"Patience, Proxima," her telekinetic brother advised in response, "Let's see if there is any merit to her claims," he decided as he walked over to Wallflower, "Perhaps she can be of use to us," he mentioned.

"L-Let my friends go…" she stammered in demand, backing up a step. Maw chuckled.

"How have you used the stone, child?" he inquired curiously as he leaned his head toward her.

"I…" she uttered out, "I used it to… erase people's memories…" she confessed, "Specific ones, based on whatever I'm think of targeting…" she added in her explanation.

"How fascinating…" Maw remarked, "A mere animal like yourself has the power to wield an Infinity Stone like it's nothing…" he pointed out.

"Uh, a-an Infinity Stone?" Wallflower repeated in confusion.

"So you're unaware of what it truly is…" the telekinetic realized, letting out a chuckle, "I believe we can come to an agreement, child…" he concluded, "What say you?" he asked.

"You… want the stone, right?" the freckled girl guessed in response as she sweated.

"Quite right," Maw replied, "But I'm certain if you were to just grant us the Mind Stone, your friends would no doubt attempt to take it back," he noted to her, "I'd rather not shed more blood over such menial matters…" he admitted, causing her to grimace in fright, "So I will offer you a proposal…" he continued, swinging his right arm. Sunset found herself bursting out from the earth shell, tumbling back over onto her stomach. The others of the Black Order surrounded her with glares.

"Wallflower, don't listen to—!"

"Quiet!" Corvus yelled, pressing her head down with the blunt end of his glaive to silence her.

"Sunset!" Wallflower exclaimed.

"You will give us the Mind Stone, and we will spare your friends' lives…" Maw promised, getting her attention, causing his adopted siblings to look over at him in surprise, "If, however…" he kept going, narrowing his eyes onto her, "you erase their memories of us and any knowledge of the Mind Stone they have…" he requested firmly. The freckled girl's eyes were shaking.

"Maw, what are you doing?" Corvus questioned.

"You said we would kill them…" Proxima growled out.

"Oh, come now…" their telekinetic brother muttered, shaking his head, "As if any bloodshed will satisfy us," he mentioned, "All we need do is have our presence erased," he stated firmly, "And if you can do it, child…" he continued to Wallflower, who he waved over, "you will… for the sake of your friends…" he said, giving off an eerie grin.

"Hfff…" Obsidian huffed in frustration. The freckled girl stepped forward, holding the glowing yellow stone tightly.

"Wallflower… please…" Sunset begged, having tears in her eyes, "I don't wanna forget you again…" she whimpered out. Wallflower's eyes shimmered before she let off a little smile.

"It's okay, Sunset…" she assured, "At least I know you're not the Biggest Meanie anymore…" she mentioned, causing her new friend to grimace in frustration as tears flowed down her cheeks.

"Do it," Maw ordered.

"…Okay," the freckled girl replied, taking a deep breath and closing her eyes for a moment, "I'm sorry…" she apologized, opening her eyes. She then raised her arm up… and threw the stone down as hard as she could, with those watching widening their eyes. However, she didn't hear it shatter against the pavement.

In fact, it never reached the ground at all as it floated back up to Wallflower's eye level. She widened her eyes in fright, feeling Maw's glare burning through her from behind. Before she could even think to run, she was floated up from the ground, caught in his telekinetic hold as she flailed her legs frantically.

"No…!" Sunset gasped, seeing the freckled girl get turned around to face Maw, who had the Mind Stone hover over his right palm.

"I gave you a choice…" he pointed out, "and you chose poorly," he remarked with disdain, "Corvus," he said, enticing his hooded brother to approach with his glaive at the ready.

"Stop it…" Sunset begged.

"Perhaps we should have killed you first as an example of what would happen," Maw admitted, seeing the fright in Wallflower's teary eyes as Corvus aimed his weapon's blade at her chest. She managed to glance back at Sunset, who was just as scared.

"S-Sunset…" she stuttered out as tears rolled down her cheeks, "I'm really sorry…!" she apologized. Corvus readied his glaive.

"NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" the red-and-yellow-haired girl screamed, about to see her friend be killed. But all of a sudden, a figure leapt out from the woods beyond the parking lot. Both Wallflower and Sunset saw it fly towards them, rearing its right leg back.

"SMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHH!" the figure roared, slamming his iron-soled foot into the back of Corvus' head, knocking him over. His attack also caused Maw to recoil, forcing him to release his telekinetic hold as he dropped Wallflower. The mysterious figure caught her in his arms, holding her like a princess as he landed down and slid to a stop.

He was wearing a forest green costume, consisting of a red belt, arm bracers, knee pads, and gloves, along with a pair of red sneakers that had iron soles. He also had a metal respirator that was diamond-shaped with eight holes. His mask had bunny ear-like protrusions, with his fluffy, dark green hair sticking out the back. Everyone around widened their eyes in surprise. Sunset's were shaking. She watched as the mystery figure set Wallflower down onto her feet gently. He then went ahead and removed his mask, revealing himself as Izuku, who glared at the Black Order members.

"Deku…?" Sunset uttered in shock.

X

Wallflower's eyes shimmered in amazement at the sight of the teenage boy who saved her. He had a look of heroic determination on his face, and she couldn't help but stare at it in awe. She… was enamored.

"So a miraculous reinforcement arrives…" Maw noted disdainfully, holding the Mind Stone in his left hand, "I would advise you step aside, boy," he said to One For All inheritor, "Or else you'll join these unfortunate souls in a pool of blood…" he vowed, narrowing his eyes.

"That's not going to happen!" Izuku declared, clenching his fists tightly, "We won't let it!" he added firmly.

"Wait… 'we'?" Sunset repeated in surprise. All of a sudden, something shot out from the trees. It struck Proxima, knocking her down onto the pavement in a grunt. Her adopted brothers looked to see that it was a red-and-blue-striped energy shield with a large white star at the center. It bounced off the back of Applejack's truck, returning to a figure that jumped in, landing beside Izuku, being none other than James.

"Wha…?" Rainbow uttered out of shock from afar, widening her eyes with her friends. There was a crack of thunder as they looked up. Floating down to the ground beside her colleagues as her red cape flowed with the wind was Torunn, whose sword crackled with electricity.

"Impossible…!" Proxima growled out angrily. Another figure leapt out from the trees, landing down beside the pinned and bleeding Laura. It was Azari, who was wearing his panther habit as his helmet dematerialized to reveal his face as he crouched down.

"Don't worry, Laura," he said to the mutant girl, "Just bear with me for a sec," he requested, earning a frustrated growl in response from her. He grabbed the spear pierced into her body, yanking it out as she yelled. Sunset widened her eyes in surprise to see her wounds close up as she got onto her feet, shaking her head.

"Gracias…" she muttered in gratitude to Azari, who grinned.

"De nada," he responded with a shrug. The spear suddenly flew out of his hands, returning to Proxima. She aimed it at them, about to fire off another laser bolt. But at that moment, an arrow suddenly shot down, piercing into the pavement in front of her and her adopted brothers. Its head blinked a bright red before exploding instantaneously, blowing them back in yells.

"Exploding arrows?!" Pinkie exclaimed in shock, "Why don't we have that?!" she asked emphatically. As she and the others managed to finally get back onto their feet, they saw Francis come down with his bow in hand, jogging over with Laura and Azari to stand alongside his colleagues.

"Gotta admit, I didn't expect us to be just in time…" the archer of the group confessed as he shook his head.

"Laura, are you alright?" Torunn asked of the mutant girl, who rolled her head with a crick of her neck.

"Rrrr…" she growled, drawing her claws angrily.

"What's the plan, Izuku?" James asked of the One For All inheritor beside him, taking on a ready stance.

"We get the stone back and make sure everyone's safe!" he responded, clenching his fists tightly as a greenish energy crackled around him.

"Sounds fine to me!" Azari replied as his habit's helmet materialized over his head. The smoke cleared, revealing Corvus, Proxima and Obsidian charging towards them. Torunn was the first to fly out, swinging her sword back over her head before thrusting it out to fire off a massive bolt of lightning. The Black Order members narrowly evaded it, but found themselves separated.

Laura rushed in with a feral growl, clashing angrily with Proxima, who parried her foe's attacks with her spear, grimacing all the while. Her husband was unable to help, already dealing with Azari. He thought he landed a few crucial blows with a few slashes to his opponent, but then he noticed the blue light glowing off from his foe's habit.

"Bad move," he remarked, punching Corvus in the stomach. A blue shockwave of energy rang out from the impact, sending him flying back. In the meantime, Obsidian roared as he attempted to bring his hammer down onto the trio of Izuku, James, and Francis. They all avoided his weapon as it struck the pavement fiercely, causing pieces to go flying about.

The archer then prepared a pair of arrows onto his bow, quickly diving to the side and firing them off simultaneously. They pierced into the ground at the behemoth's feet, bursting into mounds of purple slime that trapped him in place. That moment allowed for the One For All inheritor to leap out and land a powerful swing kick to his target's head, while James continued toward Maw.

"Hmph," he scoffed, raising his right hand. The redheaded boy suddenly found himself telekinetically lifted into the air as he yelped. "You lack strategy, insect…" Maw remarked disdainfully.

"Oh, I have a plan," James retorted, "And I'm not the bug, genius," he mentioned with a smirk. Before the telekinetic could say anything, he felt something sting in his left wrist, causing him to yell in pain as he dropped the Mind Stone onto the ground. He tried to pick it up, but was stung again by another yellow burst of light to the right side of his head.

"STOP THAT!" he yelled commandingly. All of a sudden, a tiny figure flew in front of his face. He noticed too late as it grew into the form of Henry, who kicked him back. That allowed for James to fall safely onto the ground, flinging his energy shield like a discus to knock Maw away.

"Nice job, Pym," he complimented to his short friend, whose helmet retracted.

"All in a day's work!" he remarked back with a thumbs up, followed by quickly jumping away in order to avoid the large chunks of pavement telekinetically flung their way from Maw. As the battle continued, Wallflower went over to help Sunset back onto her feet, lifting her up by her right arm.

"Are you okay?!" she immediately asked in concern.

"Yeah…" the red-and-yellow-haired girl answered to her relief, "But we need to get that stone…" she pointed out, looking to see that the Mind Stone was still lying on the pavement amidst the fighting, "Wallflower, you need to get somewhere safe," she insisted of her freckled friend. She seemed hesitant… and even reluctant to leave after everything. But she steeled herself, taking a deep breath.

"Don't let anyone else get hurt, please," she pleaded.

"I won't," Sunset promised in response. They shared a nod, and Wallflower hurried off back toward the school. Proxima fired a laser bolt from her spear to knock Laura back, but was caught off guard by Torunn's mighty slash, making her slide back. The mercenary growled, ready to retaliate. But without warning, Rainbow sped in and slammed into her, sending her tumbling away.

"Third time's the charm!" she remarked with a smirk. Meanwhile, Azari continued to clash his vibranium claws against Corvus' glaive, making sparks fly. The hooded alien was about to land a powerful slash, but found that his weapon was being held back by a diamond-shaped barrier projected by Rarity, who had gotten back up as she had the weakened Sting's right arm over her shoulders. With that, Azari landed a fierce punch to blow Corvus back.

"RRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Obsidian roared as he swung his hammer around, having it extend thanks to its chain. It struck Francis before he could fire off another arrow at him, followed by retracting for him to turn it into a pickaxe that he attempted to pierce Izuku with. He barely managed to catch the weapon in time as it was mere inches away from his eyes. His foe growled, pushing it down to try and kill his foe.

"Hey, ugly!" Ben's voice called out from afar, followed by a bright green flash of light. He had transformed into a humanoid alien with red skin and a pair of four-fingered arms. He had four green eyes: a main pair, and a smaller pair below them. Three short spikes topped his bald head while there were ones upon his arms and shoulders. A black stripe was upon his chin and one around his mouth like a moustache. He wore a black, tank top-like shirt with a large green stripe down the middle, black pants, fingerless black gloves with green cuffs at the wrists, and a belt where the Biomnitrix symbol was located at its center.

He carried Pinkie and Applejack in his upper arms, throwing them toward Obsidian. The puffy-haired girl poured sprinkles into her gloved hands, making them glow as she closed them into fists. Together with the cowgirl, they landed explosive punches to the behemoth's face as he roared out in agony, stumbling away to Izuku's relief.

What followed was Twilight having her hands light up in a magenta light as she levitated more debris over to strike the Black Order members, causing them to recoil. In the meantime, Fluttershy was helping Wallflower guide any students still outside back into the school. Maw saw that his adopted siblings were failing to hold their ground. He growled in frustration.

"ENOUGH!" he bellowed, extending his arms out to cause a burst of air to ring out, telekinetically forcing his foes back. He then held his right hand out to the Mind Stone, having it float toward him. But suddenly, a red sparkling aura surrounded it, causing it to stop. Maw gasped as he saw that it was Sunset who was holding it back, having her magic light shroud her hands.

"You're… not getting away…!" she grunted out in declaration.

"You have no idea what you're dealing with, Sunset Shimmer…" Maw retorted, gnashing his teeth together as they both telekinetically pulled on the stone.

"Come on!" Izuku beckoned to the others, "We gotta help her!" he insisted, rushing towards Maw. Unfortunately, he was blasted back by a shot from Proxima, sending him flying before Torunn caught him. Both groups charged out to get to the Mind Stone, while both Sunset and Maw concentrated intensely in their telekinetic tug-of-war. And then… the stone cracked in a burst of yellow light. Everyone found themselves blown back by the resulting shockwave, falling onto the ground.

"Agh…" Sunset groaned as she sat up. She rubbed her head and looked out, noticing the stone at her feet… though it was significantly smaller. That was because it was only half of the stone. The other half lied at Maw's feet.

"What have you done…?" he growled in question. Quickly, the red-and-yellow-haired girl grabbed the half of the stone. Her allies got out in front of her defensively, prepared to attack. Those of the Black Order growled in frustration. Maw took hold of his half of the Infinity Stone, glaring at Sunset.

"Brother, we need to fall back for now…" Proxima insisted.

"Yes…" her husband agreed, "They can't do anything with just half of the stone…" he mentioned, narrowing his eyes onto the group before them. Izuku, James and Four Arms charged forward.

"Huh…" Maw sighed out, "Very well…" he grumbled. With that, Obsidian stepped out and swung down his hammer onto the pavement, resulting in a massive burst of dust and dirt, veiling him and his adopted siblings as their foes flinched. Twilight extended her hands out, encasing them in a sparkling magenta light. The same aura surrounded the dirt cloud before she blew it apart, only to find that no one was there.

"They're gone!" she exclaimed in shock, widening her eyes.

"I'll find 'em!" Rainbow declared, about to shoot up into the sky.

"Nay," Torunn refused, grabbing her by her right wing and pulling her down in a yelp, "They likely would capture you and use you as bait," she pointed out to her surprise.

"Or worse, kill you," Francis mentioned bluntly.

"Uh…" Rainbow uttered, somewhat freaked out.

"That could've gone a lot worse, all things considered," James admitted as he looked around the damaged parking lot.

"Yeah…" Henry unsurely agreed, "I mean, those guys didn't take the entire stone…" he pointed out.

"Ugh…" Sunset groaned as she stood up from the ground.

"Miss Sunset, are you okay?" Izuku asked as he approached, getting her attention.

"A little worn out emotionally, but I'm good…" she assured in response, "It's good to see you again," she mentioned as a greeting.

"Good to see you, too," he replied after a moment, sheepishly rubbing the back of his head.

"I take it that the Memory Stone is the reason you're here…" Ben chimed in, having transformed back from Four Arms.

"It's actually called the Mind Stone," Azari corrected upon approaching, letting his helmet dematerialize, "And those guys who were after it are from another universe, just like us," he mentioned, folding his arms over his chest.

"Not just another universe, but from another time in the future," Izuku added.

"Huh…" Sunset sighed deeply, "Just when I think this can't get any weirder…" she grumbled. She looked at the piece of the Mind Stone in her hand, staring at its yellow glow curiously. "How we can help you get that other half back?" she asked of Izuku and Azari, who blinked in surprise before grinning.

"Is everyone okay?" Fluttershy asked as she flew over alongside a jogging Wallflower.

"Fer the most part…" Applejack muttered in reply, "Those guys weren't even Equestrian Magic, and they walloped us…" she pointed out.

"I know…" Twilight said, crossing her arms over her chest, "And since they're still out there, they could pose a real threat to anyone from the town to the city…" she added grimly.

"Well, at least you managed to drive them off…" Wallflower noted reassuringly, "And I'm sure you'll be able to find them again," she mentioned with confidence in her tone, causing the girls to smile.

"Wallflower!" Sunset cried out as she jogged over with Ben and Izuku, "Are you alright?!" she asked in concern.

"I-I'm fine!" the freckled girl stammered in reassurance, blushing as she took notice of the One For All inheritor, "Uh, I think your other friend's kinda bleeding…" she pointed out, taking notice of Rarity carrying Sting over.

"Sting!" Ben exclaimed as he and his best friend hurried over to help aid him.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Izuku asked of Wallflower, getting her attention as she realized he was still there.

"Oh, uh…" she stammered out as her cheeks went entirely red, "Mm-hmm, yeah!" she responded with a quick nod, "N-No problems here!" she assured with a stutter, giving off a nervous grin and a chuckle.

Ah, and that brings an end to a very compelling conflict… But of course, the story hasn't ended just yet. There's still a lot for us to get through…

"DAH!" Pinkie yelped, "There it is again!" she exclaimed, "There's someone narrating us!" she pointed out, waving her arms frantically.

"Uh… what?" James uttered in confusion.

And of course, making sure that I keep giving poor Pinkie Pie an existential crisis. Hm. Oh, I love narrating…

X

It was Thursday night as Sunset was back in her apartment, sitting down on the couch as she finished her homework for the evening. She exhaled a deep sigh, looking over at her journal on the coffee table. She hadn't messaged Twilight since the incident occurred.

It wasn't exactly the easiest thing to write about. Saying that the Memory Stone wasn't of this universe and was being targeted by a group of mercenary villains? It seemed improbable for one to believe, even for the Princess of Friendship. But Sunset new stranger things had occurred. She grabbed the journal and took out a pen.

"Dear Princess Twilight…" she started writing, "you can add a new ending to the archives," she confirmed in her message, "The Memory Stone is no more," she assured, "Thank you for your help," she said in gratitude, "Give my best Princess Luna and, of course," she continued, "thank my second-best teacher Princess Celestia," she remarked, followed by grimacing upon realizing how that could be misinterpreted, "Make sure she knows you're kidding when you say that though…" she advised.

"Hmph," a voice huffed, getting her attention as she turned her head to see Laura standing behind her, dressed in a denim jacket over a grey t-shirt and sweatpants. She was also wearing sneakers on her feet. She arched an eyebrow to Sunset, who gave off a confused expression for a moment before sighing in realization. She continued writing.

"Not everything is back to the way it used to be, honestly…" she confessed, "The Memory Stone might've gotten destroyed, but we discovered that another entity was inside it…" she continued.

"The Mind Stone…" Twilight read from the Canterlot Library restricted section, reading alongside Celestia, "I've never heard of that…" she admitted.

"Nor I…" the Princess of the Sun added with a shake of her head.

"If you've never heard of it, I'm not surprised," Sunset wrote, "That's because it's from another universe entirely," she told them. She exhaled another sigh as she put her pen down momentarily. A hand came onto her shoulder, being Laura's as she groaned, trying to reassure her. A grateful smile came across her face before she continued. "After seeing what the Mind Stone could do to people, I'm going to make sure that we get it back and destroy it for good," she vowed, "And don't worry," she added assuredly, "This time, I'll have plenty of friends to help," she noted, signing off the message before closing the journal.

"Hm," Laura scoffed, turning around and walking away.

"Feel free to snack on whatever you want…" Sunset called out to her, making her roll her eyes, "Heh," she chuckled, letting out a yawn. Since the events on Monday, she and the girls had each been housing one of the seven guests that had come in search of the Mind Stone. She was holding onto the piece she obtained, having it in a small pouch of her satchel.

The next day, she and the girls were out in the parking lot, which had surprisingly gotten repaired rather quickly. A van backed up into a spot as Sunset and the girls were outside waiting for it. However, Principal Luna also noticed its arrival.

"No student parking in the faculty lot," she advised firmly. The red-and-yellow-haired girl did her best to hold back any laughter building up in her. She and the others opened the back doors of the van, revealing several boxes insides. Peering into one, Sunset smiled to see the violet hardcovers of the yearbook she had finally gotten to publish.

Everything at school was mostly back to normal. And she was glad to see that everyone was enjoying looking back on their memories of the year through what they read from their yearbooks. She headed back inside the school, turning the corner to head to the cafeteria. But suddenly, Trixie came in after her.

"I demand to speak to the yearbook president!" she declared with her yearbook raised, getting her attention as she saw the amateur magician walk up to her, "How did this get in here?" she asked, opening the hardcover and showing her the page that displayed her mockup poster of her magic act. She pulled it down though, revealing her sly grin.

"A yearbook president never reveals her secrets…" Sunset remarked in reply, sharing a smile with Trixie before they walked down the hall together. However, the former of the two took notice of something, grimacing a little.

"Uh… why is she following us?" she asked, pointing back toward Laura, who was wearing a pair of sunglasses while her hands were stuffed into her pockets.

"She's… kinda my bodyguard…" Sunset answered with a shrug to her surprise.

"Well, I'd say you have the best one…" Trixie complimented, "She's… a little scary…" she pointed out in a whisper, which Laura heard as she growled.

"Eh, I'm used to the scares at this point…" Sunset retorted, bumping the amateur magician's shoulder with her right fist. They continued down the hallway together. A while passed before the red-and-yellow-haired girl ventured into the garden beyond the school parking lot, where Wallflower was going to plant bonsai trees with her new friends.

"I've got a yearbook delivery for Best Gardener!" she called out to the freckled girl while waving a hardcover in her right hand, getting her attention as she perked up. She walked over to take the yearbook from her, opening it up. She turned a page and blinked in surprise to find the signatures of Sunset, Twilight, Rarity Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie, and Rainbow alongside her photo. She blushed in flattery, closing the book and sharing a smile with the red-and-yellow-haired girl beside her.

A while passed as the girls were standing by the mirror statue, with Sunset looking through her yearbook one last time as her friends chattered around her. She flipped through the pages, coming across the one of her and her friends at the beach in their swimwear, smiling brightly and enjoying the day. Taking that picture was fun in of itself, but getting to share that new memory of being with her friends again took the cake for Sunset. Unfortunately for some…

"Wha-?! Oh, come on!" Rainbow groaned, seeing that none other than Bulk Biceps' picture for Best Muscles was next to theirs, "Seriously?!" she complained, opening and closing the book to emphasize the point she made to Sunset the last time.

"You totally did that on purpose to spite her, didn't you?" Ben guessed as he approached his best friend, getting her attention.

"Guilty as charged," she confirmed in reply, sharing a chuckle with him, "How's the Biomnitrix coming along?" she asked curiously.

"Eh… a little slower than I'd like…" he admitted, looking at the singular gauntlet on his left arm, "but I'm making progress," he assured with a grin. However, Sunset arched an eyebrow in concern.

"Are you okay?" she questioned, folding her arms over her chest.

"Huh…" Ben sighed, "I… was out of control…" he pointed out in remembrance, "And if the girls and Sting hadn't stopped me… I could've killed Wallflower…" he mentioned.

"Ben, stop," Sunset insisted, "I know why you reacted the way you did," she pointed out, "And honestly, it's not that big of a deal," she admitted additionally.

"I… I don't understand…" the Omni Force leader said with a confused shake of his head.

"You're my best friend," the red-and-yellow-haired girl told him as he blinked in surprise, "I would've gone crazy if Wallflower erased your memories in front of me, too," she mentioned, taking hold of his right hand with her left, "I really appreciate that you care about me so much," she noted, "You and Sting," she corrected.

"Heh," Ben chuckled in realization, "But we gotta trust that you can handle things yourself, right?" he assumed.

"I'd say that's about right," Sting chimed as he walked over, having bandages over his left shoulder.

"Feeling better?" Sunset inquired, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Like nothing ever happened," the White Dragon Slayer replied with a nod, "I think I'm gonna head back to Sabertooth and start doing some more… guildmaster stuff," he told her, "Things seem like they're gonna be handled here," he pointed out, "so if you need me… you know how to reach me," he noted. Sunset giggled a little.

"I know," she assured, "Thank you," she said gratefully, walking over and giving him a kiss to his right cheek. She turned to Ben and gave him his own kiss to his left cheek. "Oh, before I forget…" she grumbled out, reaching into her satchel, "These are for you," she said, handing them each a yearbook. They both smiled gratefully in response.

"Well…" Applejack uttered as she and Rarity were looking at where their picture for Best Friends was, "least it's a good one!" she pointed out.

"Ugh!" Rainbow groaned loudly, "I was so specific about that whole thing last week!" she pointed out, followed by looking over at Sunset. A sad frown formed upon her face as she sighed. "You know…" she began, "Sunset's really come a long way as our friend," she pointed out to the other girls.

"Mm-hmm," Fluttershy agreed with a nod, "And even though it wasn't our fault that we forgot about her… I still feel really bad…" she admitted additionally.

"Same here… Applejack chimed in.

"It's hard not to feel bad after everything that happened," Twilight noted, getting their attentions, "She almost had no one else to turn to…" she mentioned, "We should be thankful that Ben and Sting were there for her," she pointed out.

"Yeah!" Pinkie squeaked in agreement as she hopped up beside the spectacled girl. They shared a laugh before Sunset herself approached.

"Well… that's another yearbook in the books," she remarked, closing her hardcover, "So…" she continued, turning her head, "what's next?" she asked, taking on a serious expression as she looked toward the group at the mirror statue, consisting of Izuku, Laura, James, Torunn, Azari, Francis, and Henry, who were all dressed in casual clothes.

"Well… first we have to find the other half of the Mind Stone…" the former of the group answered.

"And we gotta get those Black Order guys outta here," Francis mentioned, folding his arms over his chest as he leaned back against the statue.

"Professor Paradox sent you guys, right?" Sunset inquired as she stepped forward, "Then the stone'll go with you when we get every piece back," she told them, "But promise that you'll make sure it's destroyed so that it doesn't hurt anyone else," she insisted.

"…We promise," Izuku replied as he nodded. Together, the two groups would become one in the fight ahead. Whether it would be enough had yet to be seen.

And so ends our first half of this tale to retrieve the Mind Stone. Will our heroes succeed in their mission? Or will they fall to the villains? Only time will tell… This is Xiaomei, signing off.

"Okay, seriously!" Pinkie yelled, "Does no one else hear that?!" she questioned angrily.

"Uh… yeah, it's just you, Pinkie Pie…" Rainbow confirmed in reply.

"Ugh…!" the puffy-haired girl groaned out.
