Opposing Force
In the United Kingdom Yuzu and Pele were on patrol with Arthur Weasley and the Magical Law Enforcement Squad as they were prepared to raid the home of another pureblood supremacist. Due to the records given to them by Duncan Rosenblatt after he and Electra captured Borgin and Burke they were making some progress but they had a long way to go.
Yuzu and Pele were flying to the target of a muggle bating incident and as they did the two decided to chat about what was going on.
"So, Arthur Weasley was it?" Pele asked, "How does it feel to know that you've finally moved up in the ministry with an increased salary after all these raids so far?"
"Well to be honest I'm quite happy that I've been promoted and surprised but overall, a bit worried about my old position as head of the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts," Arthur said, "On the one hand my family's fortunes have been restored with interest so my wife and I can finally get our kids proper supplies, and we finally got a new post owl. Maggie said that Errol is hoping for retirement at his age but he'd keep working for us until we got a new owl and now that we have one Errol can finally rest. About time that we got some justice against the Crabbe, Goyle, Carrow, and Umbridge Families for the scams they pulled on my father."
"Duncan told me all about that as of late," Yuzu said, "He's also been telling me about this Non-Magical Folk Protection Act that his mother and her sisters here in the United Kingdom drafted and passed with some input from you of course."
"It is true and we got the definitions of Muggle-bating to be much more lenient," the Head of the Magical Law Enforcement Patrol said, "And frankly it's about time too Muggle-baiting has become a big problem as of late and it's actually part of much more serious anti-Muggle sentiments."
"Like this Pure Blood Supremacy Yuzu and I have been hearing about," said Pele.
"Exactly right," said Arthur Weasley, "Fortunately the Chief of Staff Alaric Bones has been following Charity Burbage's advice about merit-based promotions and that in turn is solving plenty of problems."
"True but what is this Pure Blood Supremacy and how bad is it?" asked Yuzu.
"It's a long story," said Arthur as he told Yuzu and Pele all he knew of the subject.
At Potter Manor Harry, Daisy, and Abigail were getting a crash course on the subject of Pureblood Supremacy from their cousins as the rest of the Dragon Racing and Quidditch Teams returned home for the summer to rest up in preparation for a big event on July 31st. Hermione and Ron were present as well since the subject of Pureblood Supremacy concerned them as well as were Carol and Payson's friends.
"Time for a quick lesson you lot. Pureblood Supremacy is the belief that wizards and witches whose family had not married any muggles or muggleborns are biologically superior to wizards and witches who had done so," said Carol, "They also believe that Muggleborn wizards and witches are impure and unworthy of possessing magical abilities and despise them."
"Seriously they actually do that?" Hermione asked.
"Yep I'm afraid so. Take the Malfoy, Black and Lestrange Families for example," said Russell, "Blood Purists like them despise Muggleborns and those who accept them because they're afraid that by promoting and accepting the mixture of magical and non-magical blood would dilute or even negate the wizard identity."
"And it gets worse pure-blood supremacists even view Muggles, Muggleborns, half-bloods like most of us here, with contempt," Payson spat with fury. "The truth is most wizards or witches today are half-bloods. If we didn't marry muggles we'd die out."
"They also view any non-humans or those who have non-human blood like myself as inferior and tried to control or dictate their lives." Verity added, "Fortunately the Global Federation of Magical Creatures with the help of the Kaiju Kingdom managed to put a stop to that. Unfortunately, pureblood supremacists like Delores Umbridge refuse to accept it and refer to people like Hermione as Mudbloods or people like myself as Half-breeds. Fortunately, the chief of staff Alaric Bones managed to put a stop to that in the ministry and hire people based upon their merits not blood status and Yzma's been cracking down hard on such language."
"Dad told me about that," said Ron, "Alaric's the reason why a lot of Muggleborns have been rising up the ranks as of late while a lot of pureblood supremacists have been demoted or even sacked. Unfortunately, it's gotten much worse as of late since his recent promotion and all that's happened."
"We never had to deal with this in Ilvermorny or Castelobruxo!" snaped Charlus speaking for himself and Abraham, "Honestly has Magical Britain gotten worse while Abraham and I were abroad for our magical education with our cousins?"
"Pretty much," said Wendell, "Thank god you two and and some of our other allies are coming back here. Hopefully you'll be able to reverse all of this and with any luck aunt Christina might be able to dispose of the toadish hag and defeat Kai Malfoy once and for all."
"At this point Charlus and I may have to step in and do the leading," Abraham said, "Fortunately with the GFMC recognized and ratified by the ICW we can finally go to Hogwarts like we should've done from the start."
"Abraham's right if we had been there we could've done more," Charlus added, "But we weren't there at the time so we can't let that rattle us. We need to focus on the here and the now which is to stand up on our feet to the Malfoy Clan, and all that they and their relatives have done."
"Charlus and Abraham are right on that note," said Russell, "We should focus and we all need to be here."
"Speaking of which where is Duncan?" Abigail Potter asked, "I haven't seen him in a while."
"Neither have I and Abby and I have been looking for him all day," said Daisy, "Did something happen?"
"Well things have gotten a bit worse and he's with the Dragon Priests and my god aunt Elizabeth Moon right now but there is another issue," said Carol, "Umbitch is trying to have the ministry interfere with Hogwarts despite an ancient Arkeyan Empire Edict passed before the ministry was even founded."
"Hang on I think I remember something," said Harry, "When Daisy, Abigail and myself were still at Privet Drive Carl Arkwright and his friends mentioned something about the Arkeyan Empire having edicts passed."
"What did they say?" asked Azalea McGowan of Hufflepuff.
"The Edict stated that anyone with magical energy that had Arkeyan DNA was to be taken to Gringotts to have blood inheritance tests and be educated at the magical school of their home country and the ministries across the world were not to interfere or the Arkeyan Weapon Masters would take that as an insult and not only place sanctions upon the ministry that violated the edict but also curse the nation of said ministry," said Abigail.
Ron, Hermione, Adeline, Odessa, and the McGowans were shocked upon hearing that for they could well remember that the Arkeyan Weapon Masters did not take lightly to anybody who dared to piss them off such as the case with the Arkeyan Empire making the entire school watch Argus Filch's execution by impalement to make all of Hogwarts and by extension all of Planet Earth understand the full extent of the Arkeyan Empire's wrath.
In Saint Mungo's, Poppy, Rolanda, Minerva, Pomona, Aurora, Filius and Severus had gotten Howler after Howler after Howler in relation to the press statement in the Daily Prophet article that the Dragon Priests released and to make matters worse it was written by Edward Eddie Torial the star reporter and needless to say Lucius Malfoy and Silas McCullen Governors of Hogwarts added their own two cents to the article by giving an interview which basically badmouthed the staff currently in the hospital and slandered the staff members already dead while outright stating that anyone who dared to cross them would share the same fate as Margaret Rosenblatt and the Delacours.
Elizabeth Moon who was still returning to get the staff back on their feet and was making progress day by day and had two armed MEGTAF agents as her personal security detail was checking on the staff.
"Alright you guys are almost halfway to recovery but the Sensu Bean Potion needs more time to make," Elizabeth said, "But first do you lot have anything you wish to say for yourself or to the people who wrote that article?"
At this point the staff pretty much remained silent knowing that anything they said was pretty much null and void knowing that the Arkeyan Empire hated their guts as did the rest of Magical Britain based upon the Howlers everyone saw fit to send them.
"I'll take your silence as saying you're pretty much done," said Elizabeth, "Well at this point you lot are about to be in for the roughest year yet. By the way there's one more thing the Hogwarts Board of Governors wanted me to tell you. Abigail Bones has stated that you sacks of crap pretty much have lost all power to give and take point or assign detentions until she sees fit."
Elizabeth and her personal security detail left on that note leaving the staff injured knowing that things had officially gotten worse than ever.
In the Dragon Temple the Dragon Priests all reviewed the footage of Hadrian Haddock III chewing out the staff and flipping them off in the process they also saw footage of Elizabeth giving Abigail Bones' message to the staff. Duncan and Margaret Rosenblatt were present and needless to say they were shocked while Yzma and Abigail weren't really surprised at this point. Yuzu and Pele were present as they were to meet the Dragon Booster, the Crescent Booster, and the Grand White Witch.
"As you can see we Dragon Priests are beyond pissed off beyond comprehension," Hadrian Haddock said, "And I even flipped the Staff off!"
"Hadrian I understand your rage but you flipped off the wrong people," Duncan snapped, "You need to be yelling at those punks!"
"Need we remind you that Kai Malfoy's curse upon the earth is still active," said Tannis as he was struggling to keep a level head, "If we yell at Lestrange or the Malfoy Clan then the Entire Dragon Priesthood is at risk!"
"I don't know about you but I for one will not roll over and accept this!" snapped Margaret Rosenblatt.
"You won't have to," Mortis said, "Do you remember what Kai Malfoy said at the dinner?"
"Yeah he said that Yzma Milano was the only saving grace among the staff last year. I backed Lucius and Kai up when they said Dumbledore needed to answer for his blunders. Wait a minute. That's it!" Abigail said before a lightbulb lit up above her head as she pulled out a book and began flipping through the bylaws until she found what she was looking for. "I got it! I think I know how to stop Kai Malfoy and send the Red Cells after him once again."
"So, what's the plan?" asked Hadrian.
"The plan in question all rests upon Yzma Milano," Abigail said.
"Yzma?" Everyone asked.
"Me?" Yzma asked confused, "How am I important to all of this?"
"The Hogwarts Bylaws written by the founders with some put in by the Arkeyans state that if a member of the Hogwarts Board of Governors confirms that a member of staff performed exceptionally well during the previous school year and if that member of staff is promoted then they have one year to prove themselves worthy of the promotion," Abigail said, "If they do then they have the right to challenge anybody under the protection of Arkeyan Bylaws or send somebody else to do so in their place regardless of circumstances and if they defeat whoever is protected under the bylaws then the protection goes back to Level 1 while the victor gets level 2 protection."
"I get it so if Yzma Milano proves herself at the end of the upcoming school year and she defeats Kai Malfoy then she gets level 2 bylaw protections while Kai Malfoy, his relatives and in laws revert back to level 1 protection bylaws in which we can send the red cells after Kai Malfoy and his organization," said Margaret, "And we can freely chew out Draco and Nathan for their crimes."
"Yes but the Arkeyan Weapon Masters at the time had a risk to balance that out," Tannis said, "If Yzma loses the challenge then Kai gets level 3 protection status allowing him and his relatives his spouse and the organizations they have ties too full and complete immunity in all forms and the time length is extended by four years."
"Wait you mean to say that if Yzma loses the Templar Order, the Death Eaters, Kai Malfoy's crew and anybody aligned with them are free to do as they please for an additional year?" Duncan asked shocked as Yuzu, Pele, and Kenny who arrived earlier and heard the whole thing showed up.
"That's just fucked up!" snapped Kenny, "This shit has got to stop here and now!"
"Finally, somebody who agrees with us," Yuzu added, "The Arkeyan Weapon Masters seriously need a wakeup call and they seriously need to remove those bylaws at once."
"Or at the very least amend the bylaws and allow use of the Red Cell Teams to deploy under any and all circumstances," Pele added, "I don't care if Yuzu and I have to take on the empire ourselves to make that happen the Arkeyans themselves need to change and get with the times!"
"Wait a sec!" Duncan said, the metaphoric lightbulb practically visible above his head. "You said the bylaw says that Yzma can challenge Kai to a duel, or have a champion duel in her place, right?"
"Yes, that's right," Abigail confirmed.
"Are you thinking what I think you're thinking, Duncan?" Margaret smirked to her son, who grinned back.
"Aw yeah, Kai Malfoy is in for one hellacious surprise!" Kenny chuckled.
"As much as I would like to I would let you crush Kai Malfoy and I have no doubt that you'd make mincemeat out of him I'm afraid I will have to decline on that offer," Yzma said, "I must be the one to defeat Kai Malfoy or the pureblood bigots in the Ministry will just say that I'm hiding behind guys like you Duncan. No offense."
"None taken but I'd really like to crush Kai Malfoy and bring him to justice," said Duncan.
"And you will have you chance soon enough Duncan but right now we need to protect Yzma and make sure she does not share Hagrid's fate," said Abigail, "Otherwise our plans are going to be up in smoke before they even start."
"What do you mean by that?" Margaret asked concerned, "Are you saying Yzma's not up to the challenge?"
"Actually, it's more around the lines of my survival. I need to be present for the school year. If anything were to happen to me since I already accepted the challenge or if I cause by whatever means negative publicity as the newly minted Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts for my first school year in the job," Yzma said trailing off.
At Malfoy Manor the Malfoys were holding court again with the other Pureblood Supremacists and this time Delores Umbridge was paying a visit as she too had a bone to pick with Yzma's old friend Abigail Bones.
"Then not only is Yzma to be brought before the Arkeyans but any and all changes made by Yzma and the School Governor who hired her are to be scrapped period," Lucius Malfoy said as he and Silas McCullen finished reading up on the bylaws.
"Then that means we can finally stop those filthy creatures from sullying Hogwarts and we can restore our society to the way it should be," Umbridge said gleefully eager to finally put her plans into action.
"Abigail Bones could simply bring in somebody else to take Yzma's place," said Fumi, "And then there's still the matter of her relatives taking her place."
"Funny you mention that taking care of the Bones Family has been on my list of things to do," Umbridge said with a wicked smile.
"What do you mean by that Delores?" Narcissa asked as she had a feeling where this was going.
"What I mean Narcissa is that Blood Traitor Bones and her relatives have been a threat to my perfect little world for far too long. We need to make sure that Cornelius Fudge stays in power and keep our society the way it was before those blasted Kaiju barged in," the Senior Undersecretary spoke. "Unfortunately, Yzma taught the entire Bones Family the Patronus Charm and they now have a Dragon guarding them and as long as the Bones family are in positions of power and the so-called great alliance has reformed finding somebody like Cornelius Fudge to fill his shoes as Minister of Magic is practically impossible."
"How much of a threat are the Bones Family again?" asked Silas McCullen as he was already dialing up some of his contacts in the Templar Order.
"They are a very big threat to our very way of life and even more so now that they've joined the so-called Great alliance. If they get their way, then our society is doomed. It's bad enough that Mudbloods are tolerated in our society and now we've got filthy monster whores in the ministry too. At this rate, Werewolves will soon be treated as human beings and purity of blood will become irrelevant."
"Then we need to eliminate Yzma and the Bones Family now while we still have the chance," said Avery.
"Indeed, but how do we do it?" asked McNair who was visiting.
"I've already called for help and it should be here right about now," Kai said.
"What kind of help did you send for this time?" Lucius asked.
"Another monster and get this it's the most feared and dangerous ogre yet," Kai said as another demonic oni barged in and this one looked even stronger than Moloch ever was.
"Kai who and what is that?" Lord Nott spoke.
"Everyone this is Gorrath," Kai said, "The most feared and dangerous ogre across the North American continent."
"He's also been sending an army of on our behalf as of late and he's even freed a dangerous dragon friend of ours," said Fumi. "So, what do you think?"
"I'd say that once again Kai you've outdone yourself," Lord Parkinson said. "Which means Yzma won't know what hit her."
"Indeed, but for now I suggest you have your kids get to know Yzma's Grandchildren incase Yzma does survive this attack," Fumi said.
The rest of the blood purists present agreed as they dispersed and Umbridge pulled Fumi and Kai aside to discuss after sending Gorrath to train and build up his strength.
"Okay so what is it that you wanted to talk to us about?" asked Fumi once the meeting left.
"Lucius told me earlier that you managed to get your strongholds warded so that not even filthy house elves could break in yes?" Umbridge asked.
"Yes but when did he tell you that?" asked Kai.
"It was at the ministry," said Umbridge, "Now I was wondering if you could do the same for my place?"
"I suppose I could call a few contacts but Fumi and I would need to look at the house in question before we discuss that and we'd need holy magics from the Order of the Chief God," said Fumi, "I can also contact some members of the Templar Order that know how to use said magics and they can get your place fortified soon enough so that not even a ninja will be able to break in without setting off alarms."
"Excellent we should get to my place at once," Umbridge said as they headed to the fireplace and used the floo network to get to the Umbridge residence.
At Saint Mungo's Yuzu was bringing the injured Hogwarts staff members up to speed on the bylaws as Elizabeth was giving them a final examination.
"Alright you lot you should be back on your feet within 24 hours at the latest," said Elizabeth, "But I suggest you don't do anything rash. I do not want to have to fly solo again in treating you."
"This isn't right there should've been a team of healers here," Yuzu spoke, "I don't care what mood they're in they have a job to do and they need to honor that oath."
"Yuzu you need to understand that everyone blames my mother for all that's happened and if Kenny Rodgers wasn't here they would've beaten me to a pulp and left me to die," Yzma Milano's youngest daughter replied, "I think my family and I better move in with my parents until all of this blows over."
"You can't run away now; you've got to stand and fight! This is exactly what Kai Malfoy and cowards like him want!" Yuzu snapped, "They want us to fear them so they can push us around. We've got to fight back! We got to get in their faces! We have to remind the staff and the students that they need to support each other instead of turning their backs on each other and I for one would like to chew out the entire student body especially those sacks of shit Draco Malfoy and Nathan Lestrange! Those spiteful jackasses have a lot to answer for! If I had my way I would've punished them further regardless of this mess. To Hell with Most Ancient House of Malfoy and to hell with the houses who believe in Pureblood Supremacy. More like Most Cowardly and Dishonorable House of Malfoy and Most Cowardly and Dishonorable Houses of those who believe in Pureblood Supremacy!"
"Well, it just so happens Yuzu that mum, Lady Abigail Bones, and Headmaster Dumbledore had a word and they heard you're visiting," Elizabeth spoke, "Dumbledore's cousin Aurea would also be very proud of you for that speech Yuzu. If you had been in Hogwarts you would've easily gone to Gryffindor for the courage you had to make such a speech. If you had gone to Ilvermorny you would've been sorted into Wampus for your unbreakable will power and your warrior spirit."
The Hogwarts staff members were stunned by Yuzu's speech and could sense that she wasn't the type to be intimidated by anyone or anything and from what they could tell neither was her dragon partner Pele.
"Listening to your speech now Yuzu makes it more important than ever that we do everything in our power to support Yzma Milano," said a witch with red hair and somewhat tanned skin, and wearing Healer robes, "Then again considering my people tortured the staff members and all of the dead ancestors of the staff that you see before you I wouldn't be surprised if we decided to simply to outright just repeat history instead."
"Wait you wouldn't happen to be from the Arkeyan Empire would you?" asked Yuzu.
"Yes I'm an Arkeyan Sorceress of the Air Element," said the Arkeyan Sorceress, "The name is Thora Hever. I serve as healer at Saint Mungo's and I'm gonna be frank Yuzu. I really don't think you have what it takes to make any dent in our enemies plans no offense. For now, we may have to wait it out and that means making it seem like we're yielding until the protection time limit is up."
"You mean let the Malfoys do what the hell they want and think they're untouchable? Hell no!" snapped Yuzu, "I'm sick and tired of guys like this doing whatever the hell they want and thinking they're untouchable! I don't care if Pele and I have to do this alone I'm not giving in to a pack of cowardly and dishonorable whiners!"
Yuzu left on that note as she went to find Pele and take the fight to Kai Malfoy as Elizabeth with Thora Heaver's help healed up the staff before they left on that note but not before they had some final words to say.
"I hope you all realize that my people have no qualms about torturing you lot and all of your dead ancestors and making all of your living relatives feel and hear the pain of your dead ancestors cries just like before," Thora spoke, "And in case you're wondering they're considering having you share Argus Filch's final punishment."
"Which brings me to my next question," Elizabeth said, "The Arkeyan Weapon Masters had Argus Filch impaled on a stake and made the entire staff and student body watch the scene to remind them that pissing the Arkeyan Empire off was an automatic death sentence. Is that true?"
"See for yourself," Thora spoke summoning a screen showing the Arkeyan Weapon Masters arriving the next day after the detention that McGonagall assigned showing that Yzma had returned, Abigail had stormed the castle and brought her security detail consisting of Tempest, Talia, Bertha, Adara and Aurea Dumbledore.
The scene went on to show Filch being fired and impaled in the same way that Vlad the Impaler impaled those who dared to cross him before Abigail then threatened the rest of the staff with the same final punishment and they had the entire student body watch the show.
"As you can see my people do not take child endangerment lightly!" snapped Thora to Elizabeth. "This as you can see is the result and frankly I'm taking time off after this."
Elizabeth was fighting the urge to puke as she had seen patients die before her during Voldemort's First Rise to power but to witness the Arkeyan Empire impaling somebody and making the students watch pretty much shook her to the core.
"So does anybody care to say what they think of this?" asked Thora to the staff.
The Professors were at a complete loss for words knowing that there was a chance Thora would go to her people about what just happened. Thora of course wasn't petty enough to do such a thing but the staff didn't know that yet as she and Elizabeth finished healing them up before they left.
The next day, Magical Britain was abuzz as the long-awaited Challenge for Position Duel for the position of Senior Undersecretary was about to be set into motion.
The challenge for position duel was to take place in a dueling arena outside of barrow in Furness as all of magical Britain turned out to see this. Christina Carlin was in the locker room with her relatives preparing for the final bit of training and warmup.
"Alright Christina just remember to keep your head in the game and you'll prevail," Mina said, "Umbridge is mostly talk but she's not very powerful. She'll try to fight down and dirty."
"And she also knows that Kai Malfoy is present so she's counting on the fact that she'll try to intimidate you with Kai's fearsome reputation," Margaret added, "Just keep your wits about you and you'll be able to prevail."
"I'll remember that and trust me if I can beat Kai Malfoy and get Umbridge removed from the ministry for good I might even be able to get Fudge out of office as well," Christina said, "Or at the very least help Amelia and Alaric do so. I should've taken the Senior Undersecretary Position myself years ago but I don't do well as a bureaucrat I'm more for field work or Dragon Racing."
"Don't blame yourself for what's happened," said Mina, "At least you were able to keep the ministry from falling backwards and give Alaric and Amelia some advice."
"Mina's right you can't undo what's happened the best you can do is to prevent history from repeating itself," said Margaret, "Hopefully you'll be able to defeat Kai Malfoy once and for all."
"Well, this is it," said Christina, "The time has come to defeat Delores Umbridge."
Mina and Christina said good luck to their sister as they headed to take their seats.
Outside in the Main Arena the crowds were gathering and Harry, Daisy, and Abigail were surprised to be sitting in the VIP section of the arena seats right next to their cousins the Carlin Family and they were also joined by people they had yet to meet. The Potter siblings could also see some other familiar faces two of whom happened to be Draco Malfoy and Nathan Lestrange. Before they could ask a woman wearing red robes with a hood appeared on the field riding upon a broomstick.
"Good afternoon, ladies and Gentlemen. I'm your judge Lady Claudia Borsari of the International Confederation of Wizards and Witches," Claudia Borsari nee Milano said, "This is a challenge for position duel in which the winner becomes the Senior Undersecretary to the Minister for Magic."
The crowd cheered and Potter and Carlin families could tell that people in the ministry who didn't like Delores would be happy to see her get her ass kicked.
"In this corner she's the current Senior Undersecretary to the Minister for Magic and former head of the Improper Use of Magic Office, I give you Delores Umbridge," said Claudia Borsari as Umbridge emerged from the arena entrance as those in the ministry who hated her booed at her and some were tempted to throw garbage at her.
Umbridge sniffed and turned her nose up knowing that when Kai Malfoy was through she'd make those who booed at her pay big time.
"And in this corner she's the former undefeated Dragon Racing Champion at Hogwarts, heroine who led the English National Draconium Dragon Racing Team to victory I give you Christina Payson Carlin," Claudia spoke as Christina emerged from the other entrance to the chorus of cheers and applause.
"Combatants take your places," Claudia instructed as the combatants took their places, "Now remember the rules are simple for this challenge for position duel. There is no time limit. The challenge ends when one combatant is unable to battle any longer. And to be fair no lethal curses and no use of the unforgivable curses. Understood?"
"Agreed," Christina said before thinking, 'I never used the Unforgivable curses and I wasn't planning to do so for this match anyway. They're too dangerous but maybe a few well placed bone brakers should do the job.'
"Of course, I wouldn't want to break the rules anyway," Umbridge croaked like the pink toad that she resembled.
"And begin," Claudia said getting to the safety zone.
Umbridge and Christina glared at each other before Umbridge made the first move and tried to conjure ropes to bind Christina. Christina put up a shield charm and fired back with a tripping jinx before going for tongue tying curse which hit Umbridge right on the mark.
"That's gonna leave a mark," Claudia spoke.
"Aunt Christina's very skilled," Harry spoke having never seen an actual magical duel before.
"Well, you have to remember that she spent most of her life Dragon Racing and half of that she took with her into Voldemort's rise to power," said Russell. "So, to say mum is skilled is an understatement."
True enough Christina was deflecting spells from Umbridge with casual disdain before she ended the match by hitting the pink toad with a full body bind curse and disarming her of her wand.
"And with that the winner of this match is Christina Payson Carlin," Claudia said, "Say hello to your new Senior Undersecretary to the Minister for Magic."
The blood purists and death eater supporters booed at the result while the Potter alliance cheered at the result.
"Not so fast!" said Kai Malfoy's voice as he stepped into the Arena following Delores Umbridge.
"Oh no," Carol gulped, "The real battle starts now. Kai Malfoy has entered the scene."
"Sounds like Aunt Christina's gonna have her hands full," Abigail Potter spoke.
"And it looks like she'll be in for a rough match," Daisy Potter added.
The rest of their father's relatives all nodded knowing how dangerous this could be.
"According to the Ministry Bylaws there can be one more challenge!" Kai Malfoy spoke, "I challenge you Christina Carlin!"
The crowd chattered in shock at the news and those in the ministry who despised Umbridge were now worried knowing that Kai Malfoy was the most fearsome warlord of this time period.
"The crowd grows restless Christina," Claudia spoke, "What are you going to do?"
"I accept your challenge," Christina said stepping up to face Kai Malfoy.
"Combatants take your positions," Claudia declared as she floated Umbridge out of the arena and dropped her right on her ass next to the minister.
The Duel began and Christina blocked Kai's opening shots and fired one of her own but Kai countered with some dark magic he learned at Durmstrang forcing her to avoid and evade.
"This could be a problem," said Carol, "Kai Malfoy is stronger than we thought."
"How strong is Kai Malfoy exactly?" Harry asked.
"Put it this way," said Verity, "Even the Dark Force Defense League members have been sent to the hospital or beaten into paste at Kai Malfoy's hands."
Harry, Daisy, and Abigail Potter all gulped as the match between Christina and Kai continued with each firing curse after curse with no sign of either one yielding.
Christina dodged as Kai let loose a fire spell which Christina countered with a water spell that caused the entire field to be covered in mist allowing Kai to drop kick and beat down Christina after blasting her with a seriously damaging curse before he began brutally beating her down into the ground causing her to fall to the ground.
"Christina Payson Carlin is unable to battle which means the victory goes to Kai Malfoy," Claudia Borsari said, "Which means that Kai Malfoy is now the new Senior Undersecretary to the Minister for Magic of the United Kingdom."
The Blood Purists in the crowd cheered at Kai's victory and none were happier at the outcome than the Malfoys and those who allied with them. Those who hated Umbridge groaned dreadfully knowing that with Kai in charge this was going to be much worse.
"Thank you very much but as you all know I'm no ministry bureaucrat so according to the laws I shall return the position of Senior Undersecretary to Madam Delores Jane Umbridge," the Foreign Lord Malfoy spoke, "Regardless I'm gonna be in Great Britain for a while and I have a message to anybody who dares to challenge Delores Umbridge for her position as Senior Undersecretary. This beatdown was just a taste of my power, should anybody dare to challenge her for her position again I will do worse to them what I just did to Christina."
"This is going to be a long school year," said Payson with her head in her hands as those who hated Umbridge were now terrified for their lives.
"What makes you say that?" asked Daisy.
"Now that Kai Malfoy's beaten down mum those in Hogwarts who despise me and my relatives are gonna keep bringing that up over and over," Payson spoke.
"And not to mention that Malfoy and his buddies are now gonna use Kai Malfoy as a threat," said Russell, "Which means that we better hope cousin Duncan Rosenblatt can put Malfoy and the other blood purists in their places."
"And hope that Yzma Milano is ready for this school year," Carol added, "To say that Professor Milano's hands are going to be full this year is going to be a big understatement."
"With the way things have gone hope is all that we have left," said Verity solemnly as the team left on that note but Harry could tell that Duncan was growling at the injuries that his aunt Christina took and how Kai outright threatened anybody who dared to stand up to the Malfoy clan and he was even more enraged that thanks to the level 2 bylaw protections there was little to nothing he could do about it for the moment.
"If what you say is true and Yzma is our only chance then what can we do about it?" Abigail asked.
"The same thing that we did before," said Payson.
"And what was that?" Daisy asked.
"We have to encourage Professor Yzma Milano and build her confidence," Harry said, "Just like Payson and I did in the previous school year."
"True but you also tried to help Quirrell and look how that went," said Verity.
"Don't remind me," said Harry, "You and I were in the hospital wing and if it wasn't for Maggie and Katie then Gryffindor would've lost the Quidditch Cup. At least the Gryffindor Dragon Racing Team had an easier time for the Dragon Racing Cup."
"I wouldn't call it easy Harry," said Carol, "Camille's one of the best Dragon Racers Slytherin House has and Bret's one of the best Captains the Slytherin House has had for it's Dragon Racing Team."
"It's true but then again at least Bret and I are much more civil to each other than Marcus Flint and Oliver Wood are," Russell spoke, "More often than not Verity usually has to make sure Wood doesn't do anything rash and keep him on task."
"If anything, I'd say Verity would make a great captain when the time comes," said Payson, "But for now let us focus on surviving summer and getting Daisy and Abigail to Hogwarts."
The group agreed as they went to do exactly that.
