Note: This was also inspired by an artist I won't name due to personal reasons. His characters had ended up in work in my past. If you have read them, you know who he is. Well, let's just say there was a bit of a drifting apart. I don't exactly enjoy his artwork as much as I did due to a new direction, he went that I am very uncomfortable with. Trust me, I backed off from his group for good reason.
Cinder Fall was a monster, a murderer, a Maiden, and now a dead woman. She had admitted that she may have been foolish. Using fire in a lab might not have the smartest choice, but she can take pleasure that the explosion took Penny, Winter, and the Winter Maiden with her to oblivion. At least, she hoped she did. Cinder expected the afterlife or an endless void.
No, but fate had other plans for Cinder.
Cinder left strange as she felt her eyes flutter. She groaned as she awoke realizing she was on a bed in a room that was not familiar.
"Ugh, there's so pink. I…" Cinder said before going pale at what was on the desk.
A stuffed brown with purple button eyes and a red tie.
"No. Nonono…" Cinder said panicked.
She sprang and looked around coming to a horrid realization. This was her childhood bedroom, abiet if she had lived in it longer. She was terrified of her childhood, her past, as it was a time where she…was powerless. She looked in the mirror and nearly screamed. She found her slim figure was no longer there. For one, she had bigger breasts, a fatter behind, and a bit of pudge at her stomach. Her perfect figure? Gone for this farce.
"I….I…look…"
"So, the fat cow has woken up?" A voice familiar to Cinder said as Cinder turned around.
Cinder's heart sank, there was her mother, Naru Fall. Though unlike Cinder, Naru looked a lot better if not looking a tad tired. Naru brushed aside her brown hair looking at Cinder with disgust. Naru already had a glass of wine in her hand.
"I'm not fat." Cinder said trying to muster some defiance. "At least I'm not old and dry."
SLAP! Cinder was the ground with a sore jaw as the realization that she had no aura, no feeling of her semblance, and no Maiden powers. Oh no, Cinder literally had no power.
"I might be old, but I'm no tub of lard. I can get any man I please." Naru said striking the pose.
Cinder hated to admit it, but Naru very well could with a touch of make up. Naru had told her to go get ready for school, and Cinder trudged on autopilot as her mind was filled with hazy memories. She realized she was not on Remnant anymore. Dressed in a turtleneck sweater, skirt, shoes, and Mary Janes, she got her backpack to go off to high school. Cinder hoped it wouldn't be that bad.
But no, the universe was going to make Cinder miserable. By the time she got to school, she was still wiping mud of her face from the car who splashed her.
"So, the piggy has come out of her mud pit."
Cinder easily recognized Emerald, but she was shocked to see Emerald look different. For once, she wore designer clothes while sitting on a luxury sports car in the parking lot. A memory hit, this was Emerald Sustrai, the head cheerleader and queen bee of Oasis High. Cinder thought she could manipulate Emerald and tried to yell about the unflattering insult.
"Emerald, I…" Cinder said only for Emerald to sneer.
"Do I look like I give a shit, piggy?" Emerald said nastily spitting in Cinder's face. "Piss off, I'm trying to enjoy the sun before we go to class."
Cinder wordlessly walked away before a jock tripped her causing to fall on her face with her behind in the air. Cinder enduring slaps and gropes behind scrambling away while hearing laughter about her underwear choice. Classes were deary and Cinder was just going through wishing she was anywhere but here. Then came Gym Class as the final class of the day, changing in the locker room was a nightmare.
"Hey cow tits, if I milk your udders enough, can I fill a pitcher?" One girl crudely asked. "You could carry it on your fat ass."
Cinder was growing madder and then she bumped into Emerald.
"Watch it, barnyard. You'll damage perfection." Emerald said arrogantly. "Unlike you, I care about my appearance."
"Well, if I had the skin the color of shit, I'd be trying to make myself presentable all the time." Cinder said before leaving everyone stunned.
Emerald, however, was seeing red. To her, Cinder signed her death warrant. For gym class, everything seemed normal and Cinder noticed there was no insults or anything from Emerald.
"At least the bitch is leaving me alone." Cinder thought as she struggled with sit ups.
Cinder found it agonizing and hard to exercise and cursed her tubby body making a note to try to lose the weight. By the end, Cinder was sweaty, tired, and wanted to sit down. However, she stumbled into the showers wanting not to smell rancid. She had waited until the others left to shower in peace. Once she was finally done, she came out wrapped in a towel to get into her clothes only to find them missing. Only her socks and shoes remained, and Cinder looked over to see Emerald.
"Looking for those rags of yours?" Emerald asked getting in Cinder's face.
WHAM! Cinder was on the ground as Emerald had socked her in the jaw before dragging her out of the locker room by her hair. Cinder barely had time to get her backpack before she was hauled out to the front of the school. Emerald slapped Cinder upside her head and glared at Cinder as if she was an ant.
"You ever talk shit about me again, and I'll make change you spend plenty time naked in the boys' locker room on your back. Understand?" Emerald said as Cinder nodded. "Good. Now go home…lest you want everyone seeing your body."
Emerald yanked the towel off of Cinder's body and walked away as a wide-eyed Cinder realized she was left naked in the open. Cinder could only do one thing…scream in absolute terror. This is her life now, she was powerless in a world full of assholes living in a small town of secrets. Part of her wondered, what happened to the other Cinder?
-A-
In another universe, Cinder was excitedly laying back on a beach chair on the beaches of Patch wearing a crimson red bikini oozing confidence. This Cinder was originally from the more mundane world. She was given an offer to trade lives and she said yes immediately.
She had managed to not get recruited by Salem leaving the Grimm Queen with a bit of a setback, but she did not care about that. She felt free. No mother, she had powers, and she could feel confident with her body. She had settled into the comfortable of using her semblance to make glass items to sell.
"Life is good." Cinder said sipping her martini.
(A/N: No, this is staying a one-shot. I rather not make a series not of this one. The idea of Cinder ending up in "Ironic Hell" had interested me. I realized that this scenario would do just perfect for this. I really do want to explore more of Emerald giving Cinder her karmic due.)
