Note: This was also inspired by an artist I won't name due to personal reasons. His characters had ended up in work in my past. If you have read them, you know who he is. Well, let's just say there was a bit of a drifting apart. I don't exactly enjoy his artwork as much as I did due to a new direction, he went that I am very uncomfortable with. Trust me, I backed off from his group for good reason.
Cinder Fall was a monster. Keyword being was. It had a few months since she was dumped in her new body and in a new world. She hated it. She realized that she would not wish this fate on her worst emeny. Ruby doesn't even deserve the torment. Cinder had attempted to try a bit of weight to limited success. She just found herself turning into a doormat and she hated she had to be one just to survive. However, tonight, she did have to worry about it. She had managed to get a date for a dance happening and things seemed to do her way.
She got a red shimmering strapless dress that fit her perfectly and got lucky enough to make enough to get her hair done up. Even managed to score a date….she was just happy to asked. Jaune Arc had been one of few to keep a similar personality of being kind and a bit of a goof. For Cinder, it was a relief to have someone stick up for her.
As she came in her dress, Jaune stood in his suit ready to take her. Cinder hoped nothing could go wrong, but she would be reminded of why that was pointless.
"So, who's this handsome young stud?" Naru said with her hands on Cinder's shoulder.
Cinder squirmed just wishing for nothing to go wrong. Jaune tried not to gawk given that Naru's robe was loosely tied.
"Mom, what do you want?" Cinder asked.
"I just want to see the man my slut of a daughter brought home. I suppose he's decent and you're at least putting effort in your appearance. I almost forgot your fat." Naru said as Cinder just wanted her to leave.
Jaune got in between them much to her relief as Jaune remarked that they were going to be late. Cinder was dragged out and in Jaune's car.
"Thanks." Cinder said weakly.
"It's fine. Just thanks for defusing that situation." Cinder said tiredly.
"It's the least I can do." Jaune said starting the car and driving away.
For the moment, Cinder was just glad to have a moment of peace. However, those moments of peace had returned her of how much of a piece of garbage she was in her past. Her mother was a blatant ugly reminder and it made her realize the hard truth. She wasted her first life and now here she was. All she knew now was no semblance was going to save her now.
"All I do is pray that my mom doesn't find my stash of cash. The moment I made enough, I'm moving to an apartment." Cinder thought.
(A/N: I wanted to do something quiet with this one to show Cinder's thoughts. I'm thinking of showing two with this theme. This won't be continued though.)
