Hey y'all! Sorry that it's been a while and that the chapter is short.

Disclaimer: I don't own the series!

Millicent Bulstrode looked up at the sound of hooting owls. The mail had arrived. She hoped that her parents had responded. She wrote them a couple of days ago to ask about going to London along with Daphne and Tracey. Both girls had already received a positive answer from their parents and Millie was just waiting on her parents to say yes.

An owl landed in front of her and stuck out its leg towards her. She grabbed the parchment from the owl and gave it a bit of bacon before it flew away. She unrolled the letter and read quickly. As she read a smile grew on her face. Her parents said yes! She needed to figure out a way to let Granger know that she could go with her and the others. She turned to Daphne and Tracey who were sitting next to and across from her respectively to tell them the good news.

Across the great hall a certain red head was admiring the view of a happy Slytherin. He didn't know why she was happy, only that the letter she got made her happy. He wished that he knew what had made her happy so he could replicate it. She was gorgeous when she was smiling.

He felt a nudge on his arm and turned to find Hermione smirking at him. She handed him a napkin and gestured to his face, "You're drooling." He could feel his ears turn red and gave her a gentle shove, "Stop." He looked up at Harry to see the bespectacled boy grinning at him. He gave the boy a look before going back to his breakfast.

Ginny came by and sat down next to Hermione, "Hey Mione, I just wanted to let you know that the other Gryffindor girls are good to go. So that's everyone except three correct?" Hermione nodded, "Yeah. I'm sure that they'll let me know soon." Ginny nodded before heading back to where she was sitting. The boys faced their friend in confusion, "What are you doing with the Gryffindor girls?" Hermione grabbed another piece of toast and butter. Spreading the butter on her toast she responded, "Some girls and I are going to go to London to look for dresses for the Yule Ball. Dress robes can be unflattering and there are not many designs."

Ron tried to act casual as he asked his question, "Who all is going?" Hermione knew what he was really asking and was not going to give it to him. Smirking she took a drink from her goblet before answering, "Just some of the girls, including the two that I got to be your dates." Harry gave the girl an exasperated look, "Are you ever going to tell us who are dates are?" The brunette shook her head, "Nope. I'm not going to tell you until right before the ball. I don't want you two to open your big mouths and ruin it." Ron tried to say that he wouldn't ruin it but Hermione simply quieted him with a look.

The trio continued to speak for the rest of the meal before heading to class. After her last morning class Hermione was heading towards Gryffindor tower to grab a forgotten book when she heard her name being called. Turning she caught sight of Millicent, Daphne, and Tracey approaching her. She waited for the trio to catch up before greeting them, "Hello." Millicent was quick to get to the point, "Our parents agreed to let us go." Hermione gave the trio a big smile, "Perfect. You three were the last ones I was waiting to hear from. I'll go speak with Dumbledore after classes and before supper. Right now, I need to go get a book from my dorm and meet Ron and Harry in the Great Hall before they get worried. Those two can get a bit overprotective."

The four girls said their goodbyes and headed their different ways, not realizing that they had been observed by someone.

Who was observing them? Will Dumbledore say yes? Will Ron open his mouth and ruin it? Don't forget to review and tell me what you think please!
