Hey y'all! I had this idea stuck in my head and I want to expand on it.
Summary: What if Destiny decided that too many people were taken from the light? Sucky summary. Set a few years past the final battle.
Disclaimer: I don't own HP. I only own my OCs.
Destiny stood at a table as she looked over a book. It was the Book of Balances and it seemed as if the world was out of balance. Destiny was able to narrow down where the off balance was and found that it was in the magical UK. It seemed as if Death had taken more lives than she should of. Shaking her head, Destiny called out to her sister, "Death! Get over here!" Death bounced over to her sister, "Yeah Destiny?" Destiny gave her sister a look, "What did you do to Magical Britain? There are way too many deaths on one side of the war than the other." Death looked over her sister's shoulder at the book.
Death shot her sister a guilty look, "My bad Destiny. I guess I was distracted during those years and didn't pay enough attention to the area." Shaking her head Destiny sighed, "We will have to balance out the world again. Either we keep some people alive that should die soon or we bring some people who have died back to life. The Book of Balances is way too far in favour of Tom and his followers, though I do see that some of his followers moved to the light."
Death twisted her blonde pigtail around her finger in thought, "Well if we keep some people alive that are meant to die that will change some destinies, which might through the book back out of balance. Though if we bring back some people who have already died that could change things as well and throw the book off balance. We may have to consult Fate."
Destiny nodded and went to find her twin brother Fate. The sisters found their brother sitting and looking at a TV monitor which shows a woman on Earth. Leaning against the back of the couch they addressed their brother, "What are you watching dear brother?" Fate answered the question, "I'm watching this woman decide if she should drive to work or walk. If she walks, she will end up meeting her husband. If she drives, she will miss him and it will take her another month to meet him." The trio watched as the woman put her car keys away and began the walk to her work.
Fate gave a small cheer, "Yes!" Turning he faced his sisters, "What can I do for you two?" Destiny replied, "Death messed up. She let too many people on one side of a war die than the other. The Book of Balances is unbalanced. We need your help to decide what to do. Either we bring people back from the dead or we keep people, who are meant to die, alive." Fate looked at Death with a look that screamed 'Really?'. Death shot him a guilty look. Fate took a second to think before facing his sisters, "We should bring back some people. Things will change with the fate, but at the same time it could be what was meant to happen. We will have to check the Book of Life to be sure. We will have to go about it a certain way. They are going to be wary about people who come back from the dead."
Harry Potter sipped his tea as he looked at the Marauder's Map. It had become his habit since he started teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts to check the map after curfew to see who was out of their common rooms. He would see who was out of bed and then watch until they returned to their common rooms. He would write down their names and then speak to them the next day. Usually knowing that their professor could see when they were out of bed and where they went kept them from doing it again. There were a few that continued to leave their common rooms but he was dealing with them.
After the war he decided that he didn't want to become an Auror. He was done with the fighting and dealing with Death Eaters. He returned to his last year at school with Hermione and Ron and after he graduated, he took up the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. He thought that Professor McGonagall was going to require him to have a masters in Defense, but she figured that everything he had been through over the years counted as a Mastery. It was odd at first teaching students that were only a few years younger than he was but everyone took it in stride and listened to him.
The last student had just entered their common room and he was doing a last check to see if any new names popped up when he spotted a name on the seventh floor near the Room of Requirement. He quickly took off his glasses and cleaned the lenses before putting them back on. There was no way he was seeing that name. It was impossible. He raced out of his office and headed towards the seventh floor.
He left the map on his desk in his rush to head upstairs. There on the map was a dot with the name Remus Lupin. A dead man.
I hope y'all liked it! Don't forget to review and tell me what you think please!
