Chapter 1: An Unforeseen Encounter
As I tried to put out my tail, I wonder how I could get past the large fire. Every time I near it the flames would somehow attack me. I just got back on nimbus when I heard my newfound friends screaming. When I reached them, I was surprised to see a large person with an ax. They seemed to threaten my friends.
I at first tried to attack them head-on but nothing I did worked. This person surely was strong and that excited me. If head-on wasn't working maybe my power pole would work. But before I could attack it spoke. "Where did you get that?" They tried to take hold of my power pole but I quickly moved back.
"What are you talking about?" They pointed to my power pole. "My grandpa gave this to me."
"You mean to tell me that Gohan gave a mire child a gift from the gods. Who are you?"
"How do you know my grandpa?" Before long, this person smile and put the ax away.
"How is the great Gohan? He was my friend as we study under the great Master Roshi. I'm the infamous Ox-King."
"You know Master Roshi?" This big person soon started to chuckle and speak about how they knew my grandpa. Within a short time, they asked what brought us to his home. "We came for the dragon ball in this area."
"Dragon ball?" They then clapped their hands. "If you help me out, I will gladly allow you to search for what you seek."
"Really!"
"Yes. I'm in dire need of Master Roshi's assistance. I haven't been able to get into my castle." They turned and pointed to the raging fire mountain behind them. "As you can clearly see why." They turned back to us. "If you could also find my dear daughter, that would be wonderful. Since she had left in search for Master Roshi not that long ago and I do worry about her." They then pulled out something from their pocket and showed me a picture of a child. "This is my dear Chichi. If you find her, I'm sure she will be a great help."
"If you say so."
They then clapped and grabbed my hands. "Maybe as a reward you could marry each other."
I felt utterly confused as I watched them dance around. Whatever they said must be something good. Could they be talking about a certain type of food? Whatever it was they sure were excited about it. Before long I was off to find this Chichi person.
As I flew, I kept close to the ground. The picture that person showed me had the kid wearing funny clothes. What was their name again? Ox-King and they wanted me to find a person named Chichi. What a strange name. It's almost as funny as Bulma's name. I couldn't help giggle as I continue searching.
I soon spotted that dot of green and pink. Maybe that's Chichi. As I flew closer, I could have sworn that I saw that Yamcha person. When I reached the person, they looked just like that picture. "Hey, are you Chichi?"
"You know my name?" They then had this weird smile as they jumped up and down. "Is it that you love me, too? Oh gosh. I don't think my papa would allow me to have a boyfriend yet." I don't know what they were talking about, but I quickly told them how I was sent to help them find Master Roshi. They then had this frown and I don't understand why I now felt bad. "I see. OK."
They went about trying to claim my nimbus. "Do you need a hand?"
"Na, I got it." At that moment I felt the sharpest pain of my tail being pulled. I shortly found myself on the ground. "Are you ok?"
"Don't pull my tail." They quickly apologize and we were off. As we rode it was quiet between us. I would occasionally look at them and wonder if they were a girl or boy. I still didn't know how to tell the difference, but my curiosity got the better of me. I quickly patted them and was proud to find out that my guess was right. "So, you are a girl. I wasn't sure." But before I could react, I was then pushed off nimbus.
We soon got back to our trip to Roshi. As we rode, she would occasionally giggle and her face would be slightly pink. I don't understand why I'm even noticing. In my travels with Bulma, I never put much thought into how Bulma looked or reacted. I wonder why now. All I did know was it was fun having someone else ride nimbus with me.
…
I couldn't believe my luck. Why is a Trex chasing me? Why did I agree to find Master Roshi on my own? All I did know was I needed to get this guy to stop following me. So, I quickly stopped and turned to it. Throwing my head blade, I was able to cut it in two. But it was gross and using my helmet laser to dispose of it. "That was pretty cool, kid."
When I looked behind me, I was shocked to see a guy there. "My daddy taught me to never speak to strangers." Before I could shoot him, I felt a sharp pain to my neck. With that everything went black. I soon felt like I was being shaken and when I opened my eyes it was that guy again.
"Oh, thank goodness. You woke up, Chichi."
"How do you know my name?" Then this weird guy smiled and said how he was a secret admire. "Are you telling the truth?" He then had this ugly face as he tried to stay smiling.
"I would never lie to you, my love." I didn't believe him.
"What happened to your teeth?" He quickly looked annoyed before seeming to panic and drove off. What was that about? Shortly after he left, I heard someone behind. When I turned around, I was very surprised. How strange to see a boy on a yellow cloud.
"Are you Chichi?" Oh my. Two boys knew my name. This can't be a coincidence. He's probably another person who came to declare their love for me. How exciting! But I was quickly disappointed when finding out he came to help me find Master Roshi. I then went about trying to get on his funny cloud. It was surprising how soft it was, and difficult to get on.
I was still in shocked that someone touched me in my private area. At that, it was a boy nonetheless. Could this be what the other girls in my village spoke about how a boy shows their love? I couldn't stop giggling at that thought. This boy is very cute and has an even cute name; Goku. If he does like me then maybe when we get older we could get married. That would be so amazing. And maybe then we can do things like in those magazines. Like holding hands, cuddling, and even play lots of games together. Even some romantic stuff, like in the movies. The more I think about it the more perfect it would seem.
As we continue our trip to find Roshi, I was just so amazed at how much fun we were having. Passing through the green mountains before the sight of a beach came into view. There's just so much of this huge world I would love to see. I wonder if papa would let me travel on my own, or even let me travel with Goku. It would be so incredible, but knowing papa he would say no.
We soon came upon a group of weird fish and Goku asked one for directions. I didn't know fish could talk. And seeing how Goku can easily ask for help was impressive. He would most certainly make the perfect husband one day.
As we flew in the direction, the fish gave us, we were having so much fun playing with the hopping fish. And the view was absolutely amazing. Yet when we came to a small island, with a pink house, I knew it was time to get serious.
"Master Roshi!" I watched as Goku jumped off nimbus and called out. Before long a weird old man, with a turtle shell, came out the house. Even though Goku said it was Master Roshi, I was still in disbelief. Maybe if I tested him I would probably believe it.
I quickly got yelled at for throwing my blade at him, and finding out it was the real Master Roshi. Then he took Goku aside to talk. While they did so, I couldn't help look out into the sea in wonder. Wouldn't it be nice to go swimming and enjoy the sun? After all, I never been to a beach before, let alone an island. I stood at Fire Mountain my whole life. I wish papa could let me go on adventures and have fun. But of course, papa knows best and it would be safer for me to stay home.
…
Once me and Master Roshi finished talking about Bulma, I called out to Chichi that we're leaving. But I was confused on why she was making so many faces. At first, she looked very happy but then she would frown. I wonder why, yet I pushed the thought away. Yet as we flew back to her home, I couldn't help notice how quiet she was. And for some reason it felt strange.
"I don't think I've asked, but why are you helping me and my papa?"
"Me and my friends are trying to collect the dragon balls. Ox King said he saw one among his treasure. So, we agreed to help each other." I don't think she likes my answer, with how she still looked sad. "Um. Would you wanna play while my friends look for the dragon ball?" At that her face lite up with a super big smile and she agreed. I wasn't sure why, but I liked how it looked on her.
"Like a date?" I was confused on what she meant. But I figure it was a type of game and I quickly agreed. That's when her face began to glow as her smile grew. It was like she was shining with how happy she was. I've never seen someone do that before. And yet, for some reason, I find it nice and that I liked it.
Come to think of it, I like her. She's very nice and can even ride nimbus. None of my other friends could do that. So, it has to mean she also is a very good person. How cool is that? And the way she's smiling right now was super nice and makes me feel all fuzzy inside.
After Master Roshi used a Kamehameha wave to put out the fire, I tried to see if I could do one. I was pleased that I could, but it was nothing like the great master's. With that out the way I quickly followed Chichi to a huge field so we can play.
As Chichi stood under a lone apple tree, she had a big smile. I also saw that somehow a shade of pink had shown across her face. I wonder why. "So, what are we suppose for this date?"
Chichi covered her face and began to giggle for a moment. "Well, on dates the boy is supposed to get the girl so something enjoyable."
Something enjoyable, uh. Could she mean something like sparring? Since it's something I enjoy. So, I went into a punch. I was very impressed that she dodge in time, leaving my hand hitting the tree. And before I knew it, we were sparring and it was so much fun. Yet it was upsetting when Oolong came to let me know it was time to go.
As I waited in the new car for my friends, me and Chichi spoke. She went about asking if I would ever return and if I would make her my bride one day. "Of course, I would return one day. But what's a bride?" She just started to giggle as she held her face in her hands. Whatever she was talking about sure made her happy, and it gave me that weird fuzzy feeling again.
Watching her fidget with her fingers and seeing that pink on her face was interesting. If what she's asking made her this happy, I wouldn't mind. Maybe she was talking sharing some type of food. That would be nice. And as me and my friends left, I couldn't help silently promise that I will certainly come back. If not for whatever a bride was, it would be to at least see Chichi again.
