Roman Torchwick was a career criminal and he had no shame in it. What he was ashamed of was being involved in Cinder's plan. He knew he was playing with fire that burn and ruin Vale, and he hated himself for it. As he sat in his lonely cell, he debated his options only for the door to open.

"Roman Torchwick." An Atlas goon said glaring at him under his visor. "You have a letter."

The goon simply tossed Torchwick the envelope and left. He opened it to find a paper with writing from an old friend. It was something that got him to smile. The door opened again and there he stood waiting for him.

"Yuki, you know what you're doing well…risk your freedom, Yuki." Roman said worriedly.

"I know, but I don't care. I'll explain everything later." Yuki said cutting open a portal with Frostbite.

Roman nodded and was given his hat back as they left through the portal. What Atlas soldiers and Ironwood would find on camera was a letter being delivered and Torchwick just vanishing. Roman found himself in the woods of Patch near ruins of sorts. There Yuki explained everything.

"These ruins here used to be the beacon point for the Goddess of Time. My team and I were investigating, and we discovered within a temple and a gateway…to another world." Yuki said with a sigh. "In the process, my team and I literally met her."

"What's she like? And you think she get the winning lotto numbers?" Roman semi-joked.

"She's a spitfire of a woman, and she could. She's also been under the Gods' thumbs for millennia. She allowed me to see timelines, and let's just say I have plenty of semblances copied now. Of course, I saw the past, the present, and the future. And well…something bad is going to happen." Yuki said as Roman groaned a pained one. "But it's worse than you think…"

"What's worse than Cinder dooming Vale?" Roman asked.

"That's the least bad scenario aside from her failing, Roman. No, Cinder is going to lead the deconstruction of not just Vale, but all of Remnant." Yuki said as Roman looked horrified.

"How? Why?!" Roman asked.

"She will betray her dark mistress and attempt to get power for herself. She's been manipulating the Church of Salem in an attempt to get her hands on something she thinks will get her true power…but it won't. Stopping her is futile, Remnant's doomed, and I can't even bother to give a shit." Yuki said bitterly. "You and I both know why."

"What about this new world?" Roman asked.

"It's an oddity…it feels like a video game simulation brought to life." Yuki said thoughtfully. "Using my semblance to study it. Me and the team have not explored much of it yet. We were busy with Chronoa. I wanted to get you to get you away from Cinder and to help gather supplies, money, and people. That's if you're willing to start anew."

Roman considered his options and came to a decision.

"Only if you get Neo out of there." Roman said. "No ifs, ands, or buts."

Yuki nodded as the rest of his team walked out of the ruins.

"Status report?" Yuki asked.

"Chronoa has discovered that there is life on the new world, various monsters and animals….but no people discovered yet." Kelly mused. "So, we're gathering our friends and loved ones."

"Yup." Yuki said icily. "Seeing we're in Vale. Lapis and I will get our people first."

Getting Neo was easy as she did not sleep in the dorm with the rest of the 'team'. As for Peach, Yuki decided to do something a bit different.

-o-

Ozpin swore something was wrong. Qrow, Glynda, Ironwood, and Peach all got texts to come to his office all saying they were from Ozpin.

"But I didn't send you all a text." Ozpin remarked. "I barely text."

Bzzt! Peach's scroll received a text message that she looked down on.

"He's right. Apparently, whoever is texting wanted us all here for me…ask Glynda about a letter from my teammates?" Peach said confusedly before looking to Glynda who went pale. "Glynda…"

"I…don't know what you're talk…" Glynda said before her scroll rang.

She took it up and it seemingly proceeded to pick up the call automatically.

"It's funny, if they could see you now, Glynda. Because they would hate your guts for you did. You've lied to Peach long enough, and I know Ozpin made your keep the secret even longer. Frankly, both of you could eat shit."

"Who…who are you?" Peach asked. "What secret? What lie?"

"Glynda's probably going to smash this scroll…so I'll just have to come in person."

A portal formed as Yuki walked out confronting Ozpin and his circle at last.

"I don't think I need to say anything…" Yuki said glaring at Glynda.

"Glynda." Peach said turning to Glynda. "Who is he?"

"I didn't think you were alive!" Glynda said horrified.

"Because you let Oz and Qrow rush the investigation for the sake of my father's book, you continued to lie to Peach. What pissed me off was you willingly choose to ignore my mother's wishes…out of your petty jealously?!" Yuki said fuming. "And Ozpin let that jealously fester to cover his own ass!"

Ironwood and Peach looked at the trio who could not really defend themselves. Yuki calmed down and cleared his throat.

"As angry as I am, I don't have time to waste on it. I came here to get what family I have left and simply tell Ozpin that I am done." Yuki said crossing his arms.

"Done with what?" Ozpin asked.

"Your war with your sociopath of ex-wife, Ozma." Yuki said flatly. "As much as I despise some your actions, I understand why you did most of them. Blaming you for my suffering is a waste of time. No, I'm done with you and Remnant in general. I'm staying out of your war like Raven, except not being a bandit-raiding deadbeat dipshit. And Glynda…I forgive you for your jealously. Anger at you is a waste given nothing…because the hardship, I survived with friends and new people to look after."

Yuki opened a portal.

"I've texted you the address of the meeting point, Peach. Consider whether you'll join me or not. I'll respect whatever choice you make." Yuki said about to leave through the portal.

"Wait, you never mentioned your name?" Ironwood said.

"Yuki. Yuki Azure." Yuki said before leaving through it.

He vanished leaving the scene quiet, and Peach simply left slamming the door behind her. Glynda and Qrow went after her.

"Peach, I…" Glynda stammered.

"I, what? Glynda, do you have any idea what you've done? How can you call me your best friend after you've been lying to be for years? You stood me and mourned with me all with lying under my nose!" Peach said angrily.

"Peach, look. She was just doing what was be-" Qrow said only for Peach to punch the wall screaming, "Stay the fuck out of this, Qrow!"

Glynda tried to explain, but it fell on deaf ears. Peach proceeded to clear out her office and taking her leave all while Glynda pleaded for her not to leave.

"As far as I'm concerned, our old team is dead because you're now dead to me to. Goodbye, Glynda. I hope I never see you again." Peach said as she left on the Bullhead.

A team was broken completely, and Ozpin was left with a haunting feeling that they lost what would have been an ally. Come the next day, Cinder felt the same issue.

"What do you mean you quit?" Cinder roared into her scroll.

"You heard me you vapid bitch, I quit. Take your threats and shove them your girlfriend's ass. Let's just say, where I am now…I no longer need to worry about seeing your ugly face." Roman said before hanging up on her.

"This is a disaster! Have you two idiots found him or his imp of a sidekick?!" Cinder asked Mercury and Emerald.

"No, they cleared out their living spaces. Most of their goons are also gone…like they just all vanished." Emerald said trying to calm her down. "Most of Roman's allies are just gone. Those there are left don't know what happened to them!"

Cinder wanted to hunt Roman down, but she knew she could not waste time. Not when she was so close to her goal of ultimate power right there in her fingertips. She would just have to use the Church of Salem's goons for more help along with the White Fang.

(A/N: A bit of a simple prologue to this AU I had floating in my head for a while. For one, I have a thing for the new world, Neo Terra. A fitting and simple name for something so new. Next entry for this AU, we will enter Neo Terra.)
