Challenge Rules:
- Genre can be any chosen genre that the challenge taker wishes.
- Aside from Emercury, there are no required pairs.
- Crossovers or alternative universes accepted.
- Mercury and Emerald have to be wake up to the new world
Emerald was feeling a tinge of regret and maybe a bit of fear concerning what they were set to do tomorrow. Bring Vale to it's knees and kill a lot of innocent people. All for the sake of power. And at this point, Emerald was not feeling it. Mercury was feeling the same for different reasons. He did not exactly have a conscience about it, but his mind was another aspect. The consequences of their actions.
Mercury was no fool. He knew what Cinder wanted and she was willing to drag innocent lives into the shredder for it. However, he came to a realization that if she was successful, everyone was going to want her and by extension him and Em dead. He knew Cinder would not be above sacrificing them to escape punishment. It made the nights restless.
At the moment, he and Emerald were trying to put their thoughts out of their mind going to Vytal Festival stands and try to have some fun. All leading to them meeting an old woman who give them both a supposed wish card marked with a word in a language long forgotten. The woman had explained that those cards would grant good fortune. The two were laughing about it in their dorm as Cinder had opted not to sleep in the dorm like a plebian.
"Wish card? I wish I didn't have to wake up tomorrow to a shitstorm." Mercury said tossing the card aside.
"Same. Maybe I could wish for parents…or life away from this." Emerald said tossing hers aside as well.
Before long, the two were off to sleep blissfully unaware of the cards giving with a white light about to grant their wish. Remnant would be the last thing they ever saw….
(A/N: For all you out here wanting an Emercury-themed challenge. I keep coming back to these two as I enjoy writing them a bit more than the others.
