"I have the results of yesterday's discussion on the issue of internships."

The hobo lookalike known as Aizawa spoke to the hero students he taught.

"The majority of teachers said give it up."

As if it was planned the whole of 1-A shouted in unison.

"WHAT!?"

Izuku looked down at his desk disappointed at the teacher's words.

"But there was also the opinion that we cannot raise you to be strong heroes under this current safeguard policy."

The greenette and his fellow students looked to their teacher. Giving him a questioning look.

"So we have reached a compromise in a new policy."

His tired black eyes looked at each student in turn as he spoke.

"We will only allow the freshmen to take on internships with offices with a good track record with internships."

"Do you know of any offices I could intern at?"

Izuku was in the staff room. He was speaking to the emaciated form of All Might.

Who looked at him with wide eyes.

"No."

The green haired kleptomaniac quirked a smooth green brow at the blond America obsessed hero.

"Why not?"

All Might sighed and looked at the boy with his sunken in eyes.

"There are three reasons."

He said holding up three fingers.

"One I was a part of the side that was against allowing the freshmen to take on internships. Due to the recent resurgence of villains."

Izuku looked away thinking of his brother/nephew.

"Two I think you should practice using the quirks you've taken from your father. If you lose control of them at an internship the results could be disastrous."

At his words the boy felt a niggling in his chest. As if the quirks were adjusting themselves. Reacting to the fact that they had been spoken of.

"And three it's dangerous for you. Especially after the incident at the mall and your kidnapping at the training camp. Tomura is likely still after you and I don't want to risk him recapturing you Young Midoriya."

Izuku twitched at the mention of the mall.

He clenched his teeth and glared into the retired hero's sunken blue eyes.

"I'm not some child who needs protecting!"

The greenette's quirks swirled in his chest. Reacting to his anger.

"All Might I need this experience and if you're not going to help me."

The boy stood glaring down at the hero.

"I'll find someone else who will."

He turned and stomped towards the door of the room in anger.

"Young Midoriya!"

The retired hero called out after him.

Izuku ignored him and ripped open the door of the staff room.

Leaving the emaciated hero behind.

Later the greenette and the Tintin lookalike from the previous day had been called into a office by All Might.

"What's going on?"

Izuku asked looking at the emaciated hero.

"Yeah what's going on All Might?"

The muscular blond hero in training spoke excitedly.

"Young Toogata is currently working under Sir Nighteye one of my former sidekicks in a internship."

Izuku's green eyes widened in surprise.

"You're working under All Might's old sidekick?"

He said looking at the Vault boy lookalike.

The blond nodded and spoke.

"Yeah! It's continued for a whole year now."

Izuku gained a small smile.

"Really? I guess you'll be his sidekick when you graduate then."

"As long as Sir's opinion of me doesn't change."

Was the blond's simple response.

"Young Toogato."

The emaciated hero had his hands clasped over his lap and was looking straight into the other blond's eyes.

"Do you think that Sir Nighteye would allow Young Midoriya to work under him?"

Mirio's eyes widened (is that even possible for him) and he smiled as he spoke.

"So that's it huh?"

He then wrapped an arm around Izuku's shoulders.

"Could I introduce Midoriya to Sir?"

The small eyed blond spoke to the hero in his normal happy tone. But quickly gained a new confused tone.

"But why do I need to cushion the exchange? He'd be thrilled to hear from you personally."

All Might looked down to his lap and sighed.

"Honestly. I'm ashamed to show him my face."

Izuku looked at the retired hero. Giving the emaciated man a questioning look.

"In the end. Things turned out exactly as he had forewarned."

His sunken in eyes hidden by shadows.

Disallowing Izuku from seeing the blond's eyes.

"Anyway what do you think of Young Midoriya?"

Mirio looked at the greenette.

"Hmm lets see."

His trademark smile appeared as he asked the greenette a simple question.

"Midoriya what kind of hero do you want to be?"

Izuku looked at the blond thinking of what he wished to be.

"I..."

Closing his eyes Izuku thought of what had brought him to the hero academy.

His want to imprison his villainous father. The torment he had endured from his adopted brother. The wish he had to redeem himself of his horrid quirk.

And the want to change the world and make it better for his baby brother.

"I... I want to become... the greatest hero."
