The next day Mirio took Izuku to the offices of the future seeing hero.
As they walked to the building the older hero in training spoke to the greenette.
"I think I forgot to tell you but."
He turned to the shorter first year.
"Sir has very strict standards so."
The blond pointed at the greenette.
"You have to make him laugh at least once. Unless you want to be turned away at the door."
'Make him laugh!'
Izuku's face contorted into a look of terror.
"Have you meet me? I don't do humor!"
Mirio slapped his back in a playful manner.
"I'm sure you'll do fine!"
The two made their way into the offices.
Only to see some kind of torture machine with a girl hooked up to it.
'Nighteye has a really weird kink.'
"Looks like Bubble girl didn't show him enough humor!"
Was Mirio's simple response to the torture machine.
Izuku stiffly turned to him.
"The hell is wrong with this guy?"
Mirio shrugged.
"He really likes humor."
It was then that the stoic hero decided to walk in.
He glared at them.
'If I want to get this internship I need to make him laugh so.'
Izuku activated a body manipulation quirk.
And changed his facial features to those of All Might's.
"I'm Midoriya Izuku!"
The stoic hero glared at the greenette.
"Are you mocking All Might?"
Izuku's smile dropped.
'It bombed!'
"What do you mean by that face you're pulling?"
The hero said pushing his glasses up his nose.
"It must be a shot at the fact that I was once All Might's sidekick."
Izuku raised his hands and tried to dissuade the man's statement.
Until he rushed forward and pressed his finger to a wrinkle on Izuku's transformed face.
"All Might has no wrinkle here."
And began spouting some All Might trivia.
Izuku looked at the man.
"I... wait!"
He grabbed the man's face.
"That face was from vinegar suicide incident."
The man's cold eyes looked into Izuku's.
"All Might showed me the video of it one time. What he said after that kid thanked him was really witty too."
Izuku didn't notice the man release his head.
"If I remember correctly it was this "I should be thanking you for making my skin look ten years younger!""
Sir Nighteye pushes up his glasses. Glaring at the kleptomaniac as he did.
"Are you testing me Villain Child?"
Izuku flinched at the name.
"No. It was simply the funniest thing that came to my mind Sir."
Izuku scratched the back of his head.
"I don't really do humor."
Nighteye glared at him.
Before silently motioning the greenette to follow him.
"So you wish to intern at my agency."
They were sat at a desk. Nighteye's fingers were pressed together as he glared at Izuku over the top of his glasses.
"In order to become greater than you presently are."
Izuku nodded. Thoughts of his reasons filling his head.
"This is no internship at a normal company where it ends in a week. You'll be working with us for a month. And with you being a freshman the time you'll have to take off of lessons will increase."
The greenette nodded picking up his and digging in it for his paper.
When he found it he placed it onto the desk.
"I know that sir... but I need this if I'm going to become the hero I wish to one day be."
Sir Nighteye picked up and stamp and slammed it down.
Beside the paper.
Izuku gave him a blank look.
"...you missed."
"Yes because I have no intention of giving my seal."
His blank look turned into a look of annoyance.
"What?"
Sir Nighteye glared at him over the top of his glasses.
"I understand that interning here will help you."
He said as he raised and slammed the stamp into the desk again.
"But how will it help me?"
The dark green haired man continued.
"What would you contribute to society Villain Child?"
Placing his hands on the table he stood to his full height. Towering over Izuku.
"All Might showed his worth through his power and humor. Villainy was reduced to an all time low because of him."
The man turned away stuffing his hands into his pockets.
"So what advantages would you bring to my agency. I'd prefer you'd show me in actions not words."
Before he turned to the shorter greenette the stamp held up in his hand.
"You have three minutes to take the stamp from me."
Yellow eyes glared icily into emerald green.
"That is if you still wish to become a hero Villain Child."
Izuku panted on the ground. Exhausted from his attempt to gain the stamp.
"Why did he choose you to be his successor?"
Tired green eyes looked into cold yellow.
"What?"
"Why did he choose you to inherit One For All?"
The lanky dark green haired man crossed his arms glaring down at Izuku.
Izuku gritted his teeth.
"He choose me because he thought that I could be a hero."
The greenette forced himself to a shaky stance.
"Despite my father, despite my brother, despite my birth, despite my evil quirk, and despite my vileness."
Green eyes filled with determination looked into icy yellow.
"That I could become not just a hero."
His body was covered in green and black lightning that gave him the strength to keep standing despite his exhausted state.
"But the greatest hero."
Sir Nighteye glared at him.
And only then seemed to notice his All Might posters.
"You missed... all of them."
Izuku gave a shaky nod.
"I may not be as big a All Might fan as you but I have some rare posters so I know how expensive and important they are."
Sir Nighteye held his chin and tried to stifle a laugh.
It was then the door opened.
"Pardon us! Is it over? It got pretty quiet all of a sudden."
The dark green haired man turned to the muscled blond.
"Mirio he's hired."
...
"Huh?"
Izuku looked at the lanky man.
"But I didn't pass you test."
The man nodded.
"I never said I wouldn't hire you if you failed."
He bent to half his height and glared at Izuku.
"I may not acknowledge you as his successor. But I can see that you may one day be a good hero."
He passed the stamp to the greenette.
"But until then you are nothing but the son of the world's most dangerous villain."
