Notes: Our guy in question, one could consider it a consider him a counterpart to my Remnant original character, Yuki Azure. Given the nature of this fic, he'll be different in backstory and personality. Given I'm going the animesque real world, he'd still have his hair color and heterochromia.
Italicized text – E-Journal
The Year is 2021…and the new 20s' is off to a really bad start. Politics used to be about debate, now it's a wasteland of shouting matchings. SJWs and wokeness are all over the media, and COVID's just making this all disheartening. However, it seems I inherited a house from my aunt…more like a mansion. Settled nicely in the Virgin Islands, along with a sizable amount of money. The place is huge and full of secrets it seems. I haven't been in St. Thomas for a while…and only I came down. My parents remained in the States for their jobs. Not like my own work requires me to stay in one place…besides, I can finish up college to get my English minor. All online and from the safety of home.
He finished his entry into his e-journal before looking over at the word document. Yuki Azure could only shake his head…it was about RWBY. He considered himself a bit able to write a detailed paper on the good, the bad, and the ugly. He saved his work and put his computer off. He never had his own private study before, but it made for a good place to set up his computer equipment…or at least his trusty custom PC. He smirked at it and his setup. He was always handy with electronics and the like. Being rather sharp nets you plenty of prizes from contests.
He lumbered to the master bedroom collapsing on the bed before seeing the time.
"Ugh. This house is nice and all…but this kind of sucks. Sure, I have all the privacy I want to go and rub several out. But…I really think I'd rather have an actual woman. Damn it, COVID's freakin' ruined dating…not that I did. I was just focused on schooling, gaming, or gadgets." He thought, rubbing his eyes.
He drifted off to sleep unaware of a sudden glow the house seems to have…with his electronics humming. The next day, he awoke with a yawn only to feel rather strange. He felt a bit stronger than he was the day prior…and then she pinged into existence in front of him. A young woman about Yuki's age standing at his height with a slight neon blue tint to her. She had fair skin, honey hair that was a bit of a long ponytail with a half-shaved side, and silver eyes with a bluish spark to them. She wore a black jumpsuit done up as a spy catsuit with all the trimmings.
"Good morning, Yuki." She said.
Yuki's jaw dropped…he had seen her before as a concept…as a drawing of him.
"Serena." He spoke out as she saw.
"No friggin' way…it can't be." He said to himself before asking. "I'm still on Earth, right? I'm not on Remnant?"
"Correct. Shall I bring up your status?" Serena asked.
Yuki nodded and a screen popped up. He had hit the jackpot. No, he had shot the dealer and took it all. He had AURA and a SEMBLANCE. Heck, one that allowed him access to every semblance shown in canon RWBY media. He cackled and laughed like a madman! For once, watching all of RWBY rewarded him.
"I could hack into anything…I'll never have to pay for anything ever again. Hell, I can make this place a big VPN zone. I can cancel fools on Twitter…I can make my own emulators. I can go gather intel on every country and sell it to the US and make a fortune!" Yuki said excitedly. "It's all so endless."
"And what are you going to do about the girl in your living room?"
"I…wait, what?" The teen blinked in surprise.
"I sense that there is another presence in the living room…with aura."
"A reverse isekai. I wonder who…." Yuki snarked, getting up.
He got on a bathrobe casually walking out into the living room only to see a familiar lost-looking redhead looking out the balcony.
"And what do we have here?" He said getting her attention. "What brings Miss Nikos to my home?"
"This is the afterlife, right? You must be the holy Oum…because I'm pretty sure I didn't die with my weapons or my body intact." Pyrrha said before bowing. "I'm sorry I'm intruding. I just woke up here!"
"You think I'm…" Yuki said under his breath.
In the loosest of technicality, he was a 'god' in the sense of all of the fanfiction written was…a world that existed. Considering Pyrrha was right in front of his face…that had to confirm multiverse theory or something.
"Well…yes and no. I'm not the 'Oum'. I suppose I'd be considered an oracle in a sense, a keeper of other versions of Remnant. It's complicated…" Yuki said sheepishly. "You can rise…"
Tempting as it would have been to have her 'serve' him by pretending to be a 'god', he knew that could backfire. Besides, he had company. Considering Pyrrha needed him…he had a housemate that was extremely useful.
'And she's single!' He thought in glee. 'Not like Jaune's here and in the way so I have a chance.'
"But let me introduce myself…I am Yuki Azure, the computer scientist whose home you're in. As for where you are…you're on Earth. More specifically, on a chain of islands called the Virgin Islands. It's like Remnant except for no Grimm, no faunus, no auras, no semblances, and the technology is somewhat better and somewhat worse." Yuki said, making his introduction. "No need for words, Pyrrha, as an oracle, it is my hobby to know all about Remnant."
Pyrrha was taken aback and had inquired the 'Oum' to which Yuki had a sad and concerned look on his face.
"I'm sorry…like you…he's no longer with us. And things ain't the same anymore…" Yuki mused before Serena appeared, shocking them both in surprise.
"Master Yuki, I've taken the liberty of scanning the house. There is a computer network aside from your own in this house's lower levels. I'm working on it, but I did get to make this house a VPN zone for you to use the internet in total anonymity and hide you and your housemate." Serena said before vanishing.
"It's a long story, but considering this is a world where Remnant is a fictional concept and powers more so…we need to stay under the radar." Yuki mused.
"But how do you have a semblance?" Pyrrha said. "I…"
"I woke up to it…and the concept was something I had written up for a world of Remnant I was writing," Yuki admitted. "It's just fanfiction…"
"Tell me more…" Pyrrha said only for her stomach to growl.
"After we eat breakfast…"
So yeah, I spent my day now living with the fact I had goddamned superpowers that would make me virtually untouchable. The fact that I had them was overwhelming, the fact I could do so much was tantalizing. I did use my skills to enhance my Serena to deface and ruin a few people's Twitter pages. Leftist or Right-wing, it did not matter. With what I had, I could now wring them both by their necks.
And then there's Pyrrha, honestly…I could not have wished for a better scenario. Right now, Pyrrha needed comfort. Starry-eyed as she was…she was somewhat forlorn about dying. But hey, I had to be the one to do it. I mean, she took that here, her world is fictional here. I didn't exactly tell her about the state of the show now…and it's fandom…
He finished writing his journal before saving it. He walked back out to the living room as Pyrrha looked out to the not shattered moon.
"Yuki…if I may ask…about what will happen on Remnant? Is my death avenged?" Pyrrha asked.
Yuki just had a blank look as Pyrrha's face fell.
"At least Jaun-"
"Be honest, the same guy who would rather read comic books in class instead of learning, the same guy who would have threwn sap at you because Cardin was blackmailing him about the fake transcripts, the same guy who couldn't trust you to tell you he was being blackmailed which make an unneeded risk, the same guy you had to help for his 'first victory'…you really think he could even wound her? The only reason he's gotten anywhere because you gave him the kick he needed…he literally had to see you die for him to realize he's screwed up. He's only scratched her…" Yuki said as Pyrrha sighed. "He's unlocked his semblance…but I think I tell you what it is…you'll be pissed."
Pyrrha inquired and when he told her….she had a look of disbelief.
"If it makes you feel better, Cinder got disfigured by Ruby," Yuki said before sighing. "How about I get us some drinks and we watch a movie?"
Thankfully, my powers now allow me to remote access my e-journal with MY MIND. I can directly put my thoughts in it. Holy shit, I could write fanfiction with complete ease…or maybe I could use this semblance to copy art styles. Oh man, the things I could do. As I set up that movie to watch, I looked at Pyrrha with pity. She looks a bit distraught, and I feel for her. I mean, it was mean of me to throw Jaune under the bus…but he kinda deserves it. Besides, I can't really have her with rose-colored glasses.
(A/N: It gets only weirder from here. Now, I bet you're wondering if this is all…but no there's more to come. This project is going to be headed by me, but with a bit more help from my friends who will certainly make this satire livelier. As for who Yuki targeted, he ruined the following peoples' Twitters: Marzgurl, AOC, Pelosi, Kathleen Kennedy, Rian Johnsnon, Belle Delphine, Vince McMaohn, Mitch McConnel, Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, and the writers behind both Thundercats Roar and Teen Titans GO!)
