Ruby let out a weary yawn as night was falling upon the land, and she had no intention of staying out late. Not tonight. Not after a good hail from the Battle Tower. Some quality iron made for making more blocks of iron among other things. This blocky world that she and her teammates fell into was strange, unusual, and dangerous.

Ruby remembered her first day in what they would learn was Craftia, a fire dragon nearly torched them alive. It had taken them four days for them to each get their crap together. They had to learn quickly to survive as this world. Learning to craft, learning to cook, learning to trade, learning to magic, and learning to fight. Their aura had saved their skins as they had way too many close calls.

A Reaper blinding Blake to take off her head.

A Creeper nearly blowing Weiss into pieces.

Swarms of spiders nearly eating Yang alive.

Pillagers trying to harvest their organs.

Ruby shook off the thought of that memory, not wanting to dwell on it for too long. The yipping of her companion brought a smile to her smile. A wolf lovingly called Ein. Each of Team RWBY took to taming an animal for a companion. For Weiss, a deer she called Frost. For Blake, a Ventoraptor she called Ada that raced across the plains. Lastly for Yang, it had been a Roc she called Ariel because of the skies. For the four, they had their closet companions as…for that time Team RWBY separated.

Arguments were made after escaping the pillagers, hurtful words said, and they just left each other. That was months ago…today marked six months. Ruby had changed having now wore the armor of the sea serpents she slain. Crescent Rose was still her weapon, but she learned to adapt with longswords, bows, and explosives. She had hardened over the course of her isolation, but she missed her friends. She missed home. She caught a whiff in the air and stopped in her tracks.

Dragon's breath. She thought getting her saber out forged with the blood of a fire dragon. She and Ein slowly closed in to see a dragon's nest full of gold and treasures unguarded. She got to work swiping what she could with the same rationale.

Survive.

As she raided, she found a real treasure. A dragon egg! She knew she had gotten that stored and made her leave with Ein unaware of the person battling said dragon while riding a Roc.

"Let's see you smile now!" Yang said firing an explosive arrow right in the Dragon's eye.

With its way of sight burned, Yang called off Ariel and proceeded to punch the dragon repeatedly until it crashed into its own treasure trove. Ariel flew down to her master as Yang tore the dragon apart for it's blood, meat, and bones for materials.

"Someone was here…" Yang said looking around. "Someone got to this place while I was fighting! Damn it, I was hoping to see if I can get a dragon egg!"

She was about to at least take a bit more gold only to hear the steps of a raptor and readied Ariel to leave. It was late…and she had no intentions of staying out. She needed a new place to set up shop anyway. Where Yang left, Blake arrived on the scene looking worse for the wear. The cuts on her leg and shoulder tell-tale of a surprise Feradon. Her mount was not as fresh as daisies either as she smelled the air. Four scents were here…two were human and going in a similar direction. Blake was hoping for it to either lead to a village or an easy mark.

"Ada, heel." Blake said getting off as she got her diamond pickaxe out. "Ok, there's enough to see if I buy a few things if I get into a village."

She lopped off some gold before getting back on Ada and moving on ahead. Nearing Forgefin herself was a humble summoner of monsters, Weiss of Whitewind. At least that was Weiss called herself to preserve some ego. Isolation from her had affected her the most…where Ruby was mostly silent, Weiss talked a lot. Unlike the other three, Weiss had a bit of a lucky streak and it went to her head. Of course, the ego was a front…a giant shield to hide what was really inside. She sat upon Frost on top of the hill overlooking the dragon's den.

"For sooth, Frost! I see a village in the distance. Let us go in and rest on that weary night." Weiss said as Frost went forward.

Team RWBY all blissfully going to same village unaware the other is there…where a reunion is soon to happen.

(A/N: Poll wanted Isekai one-shots, you'll get it. Next few will be isekai themed, but whether they get sequels is up to you. Review and review some more!)
