The village of Ninten was a growing place on what was the deserted island of Vestige. At least that's what the villagers said about the place being that Kaiser was in charge of the place as governor. Him and Isabelle were a pretty good team in their banter and productivity.

Of course, some claim that they clearly liked each other, but that rumor was shoved into the dirt to be buried.

Kaiser was not alone in his role towards what was a growing city. His best friend from school, Zoey, ran a farming business to grow fruits, vegetables, and have meat to import. Lani ran a campground for visitors. Amber Lee used her influencer status to drum up popularity while doing hard at work at her bakery. The twins Alex and Alexa had their construction company to build bridges, furnishings, new homes, and the like. Sandy…spent her time lounging on the beach wanting occasionally hunting bugs. And the ever present shady impish goofball Robbie running his own business. All and all, things were good.

It was a cold night in the end of May that Kaiser had gathered with what he called the original starter crew for a night of just basking in the success for the first year.

"Fuchsia. Tybalt. Thanks for venturing out with me the first time with me. I know…" Kaiser said as Fuchsia hugged his side.

"Don't fret about it. You did good after what happened. What happened to Smashville was not your fault." Fuchsia said as Tybalt playfully punched his shoulder. "Isabelle doesn't blame you either."

"Speaking of Isabelle, you two confessed right?" Tybalt said bluntly.

"I don't know, did you tell Fuchsia how you feel about her?" Kaiser snarked as Tybalt like out an embarrassed growl.

"Actually, he did." Fuchsia said surprising Kaiser. "We've been dating for…well this makes it nine months."

"A deer and a tiger hook up? How humorous. I thought you'd say you don't do meatheads." Kaiser teased.

"I have a brain, you know. I went to college." Tybalt chided. "I studied Physical Fitness. And hearing her sing made my heart flutter."

"Well, if I am being honest, me and Isabella are growing close." Kaiser remarked.

"You do realize everyone knows you two clearly have feelings for each other. It's an island and you two are not that sneaky. Robbie has a picture of you two sharing a kiss at the sunset…and you should be glad he did not catch you two at a more primal moment." Fuchsia said as Kaiser groaned.

"Damn…I'm going to smash a potted plant over that jerk's head." Kaiser muttered as he looked up at the moon.

"Save the revenge for tax season, mayor." Isabelle said surprising everyone.

"Girl, you can drop the professional act. Plus, he's governor now…or that is that his pet name?" Fuchsia teased as Isabelle blushed. "Oh, please don't tell me that your dirty talk is…"

"It's not like that!" The two said in unison.

"Totally is." Tybalt thought.

"Either way, the only person who'd get in the way of you two being together is Nook." Fuchsia said as Kaiser facepalmed.

"I love the guy, but he has a way of making you owe him cash for everything. But I have a retort!" Kaiser said determined. "It did take a bit of outside dealing and siphoning off Nook's Wi-Fi until I could get a communications tower built…but I got Nook's loan paid and then some. The money I saved is going to pay for that and the 'loans' he plans to give me after."

"How'd you manage that?" Tybalt said.

"My friends all getting me deals and contacts outside of Nook. Let's just say I made a good ally who gave me what the last of what I needed to be out of Nook Inc.'s grip." Kaiser said taking Isabelle's hand.

"Why'd they do that?" Isabelle asked curiously.

"Apparently Nook cheated the guy in a poker game." Kaiser said.

That got a nice laugh. The next morning, Kaiser woke up Tom Nook bright and early.

"What's with the early wake up call? It's 5 in the morning!" Tom Nook said before Kaiser slammed the big sack of bells. "What's this?"

"Paying off all my debts and loans, Nook. The Goth family sends it's regards." Kaiser said before walking away. "And have a good day."

Nook looked at the sack and started laughing before realizing what Kaiser said.

"Oh crap, the Goths know I live here!"

Out on the beach, Sandy was doing a morning yoga class with a few other villagers.

"Downward dog." Sandy drawling into the yoga pose.

"Sandy, you make it look easy." Spork said getting down to it with a bit of struggle.

"Maybe you shouldn't be…"

"Ankha, Spork is here not to be judged, but to learn and grow. That's why he will be closer to his center." Sandy said calmly. "He's determined. He got up early to join us."

As the waves rode in, Spork saw something.

"Hey, someone's washed onto shore." Spork said dropping the pose as Sandy opened her eyes.

Four girls that washed up on shore faces down and out cold.

"Mitzi, go get Aurora." Sandy said as the cat villager bolted. "Ankha, Spork, help me get them on shore."

They hastily got the four girls onto the yoga mats. Aurora would show up with a med kit along with the governor and Isabelle.

"So, who do you think they are?" Spork asked. "Castaways from a ship?"

"Likely, but we did not have any news of a shipwreck or missing people off a ship." Kaiser said. "How are they, Aurora."

"Concussions all around, but no serious injuries. We should get them inside and out of those wet clothes." Aurora said as Kaiser looked Sandy.

Weiss opened her eyes holding her aching head only to then look down to see she was on a bed and not in clothes that were hers. Reasonably, she screamed in a panic waking up her teammates.

"Weiss! My aching head!" Ruby said as the door was kicked open as Kaiser rushed in.

"I…oh, you're awake. Oh, thank mercies, I thought one of you was having a heart attack." Kaiser said breathing a sigh of relief.

Upon a closer look, Team RWBY realized they were in a hospital room and they were in scrubs.

"Mind explaining where the hell we are?!" Yang said as her eyes flared red.

"Easy. You're in the Ninten Medical Center. You were found washed up on our beach. Medics were called and you're here. Your possessions are in the room next door. I just have some questions for you. I'm Kaiser Remnant, governor of Ninten."

"Your family has to have some serious stones to name themselves after the planet." Ruby remarked.

"Don't know what you're talking about…the planet's name is Earth." Kaiser said confused.

After a short while of introductions and explanations, it dawned on the four that they were clearly no longer on Remnant anymore. Aurora came to complete the check up on them and the Able Sisters returned their clothes where were all fixed. Just one problem, the bill from the hospital bill and the tailoring once Team RWBY was let out of the hospital.

"3,000 Bells!"

Weiss was sputtering while Blake looked around noticing all the anthromorphs that made the faunus look normal in comparison. Ruby looked the most concerned.

"I'm sorry, but your dress was made with fine materials. Fixing it would have cost easily five times that amount. Funny, seeing that your hospital bill was only 300 bells." Mable said sympathetically.

Blake and Yang got 2,000 as a bill for the clothes, but Ruby was a bit unluckier being that 5,000 bells as her bill.

"Don't worry, you can just work off the debt. Not like you're leaving the island anyway." Robbie said slyly coming up. "There's plenty of ways you fine ladies can make some cash."

"Ok, you're just making it creepy, Robbie." Kaiser said. "But he does have a point. This island is a bit special. Expansive, full of resources, and has many of means for people to make something of themselves. You got a chance to do that and start over."

"Not like we got a choice in the matter." Blake said with a shrug.

"I mean, this place isn't so bad." Yang said.

Weiss sighed in defeat.

"I guess we're here to stay." Ruby said.

"But you're going to need a house, and here's where I come in!"

Tom Nook came down skipping all happy from his recent boost in money.

"I'm Tom Nook, header of Nook Inc. And we would be happy to get you set up with citizenship to boot." Tom said with a grin as his nephews came up.

"Oh, thank you, Mr. Nook. Wait…are you a racoon?" Ruby asked.

"Tanuki." Tom clearly as Blake blushed bright red. "Heh…but it is going to cost you."

"We can help get you a starter kit and a loan." Timmy said.

Kaiser's eye twitched but he thought to himself, "Well shit, here we go again. Only this time, it's not really me under Nook."

Weiss, a bit more business minded then the other three, fell to her knees in the realization that they were in the long haul.

"There's no Grimm on the island, right?" Ruby asked as Kaiser shook his head. "At least there's no Grimm."

Weiss let out a whine.

[Elsewhere on the sea, on the S.S. Rosarita]

A young couple was out enjoying the morning air seeing that it was still early out. For them, it was the first time being out on sea like this. The male's phone rang as he answered it.

"Hello?"

"Mercury. It seems that it's happened once again."

"Old Man, you mentioned what happened to me and Emerald was an isolated incident." Mercury said concerned.

"Yeah, I was wrong. My grandson has called me to ask about this…and I did not tell him the truth."

"Shouldn't you just tell him you're from Remnant?" Mercury asked.

He could him sigh.

"Damn it, I don't have a choice. He's a brave young man…and I supposed he deserves the truth. I will have to see him myself…but I have a task for you and Emerald. Considering you've both wanted to settle down. Seeing that I trust you, I want you to awaken his aura." Old Man Remnant affirmed. "How soon?"

"A week at most. We're almost done with our cruise. But I do want some cash as start up." Mercury requested.

"I'll cover your getaway package to get residency here. Trust me, it's expensive and I'm doing you a favor in covering you for it." Old Man Remnant remarked. "That's nearly 50 grand each."

"Ok, pro bono. Let's just hope for you, Emerald doesn't give birth before then. She's close." Mercury said. "Later."

Mercury hung up as Emerald glared at him.

"I hope it's soon." Emerald said with a sigh. "How do other women put up with being pregnant?"

She had been using her semblance to hide the stomach.

"I'm just glad I just delivered." Mercury said as Emerald play punched his shoulder. "Besides, it'll be good to see Kaiser again."

"I wonder if he and that assistant got together. They were pretty into each other." Emerald mused. "You think he takes her over the desk at the office?"

Mercury busted a gut laughing over the thought.

"Her pet name for him has to be 'Mr. Mayor'." Mercury said as the couple laughed harder.

(A/N: Now I wish I had the Animal Crossing games to play. I put way too much into this, but I had way too fun reading the Animal Crossing wiki. They just had so much to work with. Like the last one, a one-shot unless you demand more. Next up, we have meme before the next Isekai short.)
