Hi guys!

Sakura POV

Waking up my body felt like I got hit by a thousand punches. I've never felt this way before, even when I trained with Tsunade. I broke many bones, you'd think I would be used to it, but this pain was different. My stomach was tender, the scars on my belly were still red so that was a good sign. My ribs were starting to feel better however my pelvic bone was still broken. Every chance that I got I would heal it, not too much though. I didn't want to tire myself out.

I have never felt like a bigger idiot. I don't know what came over me but the way I treated Naruto last night was not called for. I was acting like a child, he was doing his best to protect the village and us, all I could do last night was degrade him. I meant everything I said but I wish I would have said it differently.

I glanced over to the side of the bed where Naruto was. He looked comfortable, he was laying on his stomach with the blankets on his waist. The burns on his back were showing they looked healed but the marks were still there.

Kato was nowhere to be found but when I woke up a few hours ago and Kato's foot was in Naruto's neck. I slept well and Shinachiku slept great for the first night, he was full of energy and that's the reason why I am up right now.

I was trying to get him to burp, he was full, he no longer wanted any milk. I hummed out while patting his back, finally, a burp came out simultaneously with some gas.

I laughed at him, he looked terrified when he did that. "Shinachiku, did you fart?" The smell of the foul odor captured my nostrils, he only sat there looking up at me with his green eyes.

"I need a gas mask, he stinks!" Naruto mumbled, he pushed his head underneath the blanket. I ripped the blanket off of his head, making him smell it.

"If I have to smell you have to too." He only gagged in protest, "Sakura-chan this nose can smell 10x better than yours."

I looked over to the staircase, I heard footsteps coming down. Kato came running downstairs with a piece of bacon in his mouth, "Eww it stinks in here."

"No need to state the obvious Kato," I said, He held his hand over his nose yet he still kept eating the bacon. "Sasuke-nii-chan said breakfast is ready, we also have a guest in the house."

"Who's the guest?"

"Shikamaru-san!" Kato shouted, he ran back upstairs leaving Naruto and me alone.

Naruto rolled off the bed to grab his pants from off of the floor. He then grabbed me from the bed bringing me into his chest. One hand was on my back while the other one was under my legs. "What are you doing?"

"You can't walk so I have to carry you upstairs." He said blandly, there were no emotions in his words. His face was blank as well. He just seemed so cold.

I kept my mouth shut, I allowed him to carry me up the flight of stairs to the living room. It was the first time I have seen any type of daylight in a day. I was overjoyed by the fact. My view was our backyard however it was sunny outside and one of our trees was burnt.

That's weird.

Naruto came up with Shinachiku with his bassinet, he placed him beside me and left without uttering another word to me. He had every right to be irritated or even mad with me. I deserved it.

"Here's your breakfast Sakura-san." Kato was struggling with the breakfast tray in his hands. Everything was spilling all over the tray, he kept his smile on his face but he looked like he needed some type of help.

I grabbed the tray from him before he could scramble up my food any further, "Thank you, Kato."

"You're welcome, Sakura-san. The men will be in the kitchen scream if you need us." He winked at me before running off into the kitchen with the guys.

Naruto POV

After bringing Sakura and Shinachiku up to the main floor I went straight to the kitchen. I haven't been feeling well since my last mental breakdown in the alleyway. Now with what happened last night, it does not make the situation better. I was feeling low, lower than I have ever felt in my entire life. I didn't even want to be bothered with any other humans but here I was sitting at the table with Kato, Sasuke, and Shikamaru.

"Well, you look terrible," Shikamaru said. I side-eyed him from across the table. "I only had an hour of sleep."

"It must be the baby."

No, it's definitely the mother of my child.

"Yeah, he kept me up." I only said that because I did not want them in my business. Whatever Sakura-chan and I go through is no one else's concern. "Anyway let's get to business."

Shikamaru proudly leaned back in his chair, he had the biggest grin plastered on his face, "I know what Tezo's intentions are. I also know how to stop him but there's a bump in the road."

"Care to explain?"

"Tezo is looking for a seal and a stone. Well, the note that Akane left behind bluntly says that the seal is on the back of Kato's head. I checked and it's there. You know what is else in the back of Kato's head. The stone that Tezo is looking for."

"How do you know the stone is in the back of his head," Sasuke questioned.

"Ino told me, it was the one thing that was blocking his memory. If we get that stone we can stop this virus, the zombies and Tezo."

"Is the virus deadly?"

"I don't think so, I genuinely think that the virus is an injection. None of us has to feel ill but Akane. Since Tezo has Suna there have been more than 1,000 people that have fallen ill in the last 24 hours. We're guessing they either got injected or bitten. "

My face lit up, we were making progress with the Tezo situation. All we needed was to get that stone out of Kato. "Okay let's just remove the stone."

Shikamaru instantly killed my happiness, "I wish it were that easy, after doing some research that stone radiates a mass amount of chakra. If Tezo is near he could come down and take the stone easily."

I groaned out loud placing my head in my hands, "Okay so what else."

"Well." Shikamaru dragged out, "Last but not least we have to find the village rat."

"The village rat!?" Sasuke and I said simultaneously, we both had questioning looks on our faces.

"There's someone who's working with Tezo. It's the only way he's able to get through the barrier. It has to be a Konoha citizen."

Sasuke and I both looked at each other. How could someone from Konoha possibly want to side with Tezo? Who in their right mind would side with Tezo?

Shikamaru confirmed our biggest fears, there was someone in this village working with Tezo. The murder himself, "It's the only logical way. Hokage-sama even said this himself."

"Do you know who it is?" Kato asked, he had no idea what was going on but he hated being left out of things. He always wanted to be involved with something.

Shikamaru glanced at Kato, "Well, it has to be someone gullible."

All eyes went on me, "Shut up." I muttered out.

Shikamaru chuckled, "We know it's not you, calm down, but we do have speculations."

"How interesting, that just made things more complicated."

"Not really because we can stop all of this before anything bad happens."

"What do you mean?"

Shikamaru placed an envelope on the table, I opened it to read it but it was just a bunch of medical terms. Sasuke snatched it out of my hands. Judging by the face I was making he probably knew I was confused.

"Do you guys remember that body we took back to Konoha?" We all nodded our heads, "Turns out that body has DNA matching Kato's. Whoever that person is, he has to be related to Kato. He's either his dad or uncle judging by the age range."

"What the hell!?" I grabbed back the paper from Sasuke's hands. I didn't know how to read the medical words but I knew how to read the graphs. Kato's blood results and this man's blood result came back perfect. It was a 100% match. "Wait so this means…"

Shikamaru took the papers out of my hand and placed them back in the envelope. "Yeah, If Kato sees a picture of this person it could unlock the seal that was placed in Kato's head. Inoichi said it's a 99.99% chance that Kato memories will unlock."

Sasuke chuckled, catching all of our attention, he placed his hand out his mouth with an astonishing look on his face, "Then he'll know how to use his powers without them being triggered by anger. Just like Akane said he's the only one that can stop Tezo and this virus."

"Okay let's show him that picture." I reached out to grab the envelope, before I could even touch it Shikamaru swatted my hands away.

"It's not that easy Naruto. We have to remove the stone first then unlock his memories. If we show him the pictures first then get the stone, who's to say he won't attack us? Let's not remember where he came from."

Kato eyed Shikamaru dangerously, his cheeks were plushy and rosey, "I'm not a bad person Shikamaru-san."

"I know Kato, you were just raised by bad people." My heart tugged when I heard what Shikamaru said. He was getting soft on me.

I wonder if I will be like that now?

"He was born to kill." Sasuke started to tap his fingers along the table. "So when we unlock his memories it'll just come flooding back, it'll hit him out of nowhere. The amount of trauma this kid is about to face."

"Welcome to the club," I muttered

Kato pointed proudly to himself, "If there's a club then I want to be the captain."

"You can't be the captain. I'm the leader then Sasuke then Shikamaru. It goes by who had the most traumatic shit in their life." I joked.

Shikamaru laughed softly, Sasuke pinched the side of my arms making me yelp out loud, "Shut up Naruto."

Shikamaru stopped laughing, he turned his entire body towards Kato. He had the most serious face on, the room felt like it dropped some degrees. "That also means that we'll be here for you once those memories unlock. We all know how hard it is. We've all lost someone important to us right before our eyes."

Kato only nodded his head. He had no idea what he was getting himself into. This was going to be hard. All of those memories he was going to have to face. I remember Sakura telling me how he was forced to murder his brother. He even murdered his dad. I don't know if we'll have the same Kato after this.

I shook those thoughts out of my head. No one was talking to anyone, I guess everyone was still thinking about the outcome that's going to happen with Kato. The last thing I wanted for him to do is to feed off his hatred. I don't want him to bear that amount of pain. He honestly reminds me of Sasuke, he's around the same age as Sasuke when his parents got murdered in front of him. The only difference is that he has us to help him through it.

"When are we doing the surgery?" Sasuke's voice broke me out of my thoughts. I was in deep thought, the only thing I heard was surgery.

"It has to be soon."

"Have you talked to granny?" I asked, Shikamaru's body tensed. I could tell from the gestures he was making that he was nervous. This isn't a good sign.

"Yeah about that. She's in Suna helping out with all of the casualties. You know Suna doctors aren't as good as Konoha's. So with that being said our only choice is Sakura."

"No," I said sternly, just as I said it Sakura walked through the door with the tray in her hands."What about me?"

"What are you doing up!?" I stood up from the table in horror. She has a freaking broken pelvic bone and here she was standing up.

"I healed myself, I'm starting to feel better." She smiled at me, she placed the tray on the counter. She stood there proudly.

Was this a fucking joke to her!?

"You're still limping, Sakura-chan go sit down." I gritted through my teeth.

"Okay." She limped to the chair across from Shikamaru. Her hands were still shaky, I could tell from the way she was pulling the chair out. She hasn't fully recovered, she could not even pull the chair out properly. We watched her struggle for about a minute before she could even get the damn chair out. Everyone at the damn table knew this.

"What about me?" she finally asked, she was looking directly at Shikamaru completely ignoring me.

"It's not of your concern Sakura-chan." I gritted slowly through my teeth.

"He clearly said my name Naruto." she barked back.

I can see that the tension from last night was still here.

Shikamaru looked between us. My eyes were glued on Sakura while her eyes were on him. She motioned for him to continue with her hands, "Uhh, right, we wanted to know if you were okay enough to perform the surgery."

"I can do the surgery."

"You will not do the surgery." I looked over at Shikamaru. "Shikamaru she can not do the surgery because she is not well enough." I looked back at Sakura, she had the most irritating face on the planet. "I'm your spouse and I can say that you can't."

"It's not written on paper yet, Naruto so therefore I can do whatever the hell I want." She seethed out, this made my blood boil. It made me so bitter. I could rip this damn house apart right now.

"What happened to not letting this job interfere with your family," I said sarcastically, if she wanted to play this game then I'll just play along with her.

"Wow, so you're using my words against me."

"I can and I will."

"What the hell is wrong with you!" she slammed her hands on the table making all of the documents fly away.

"I'm trying to look after you!" I snapped back.

Shikamaru stood up, he grabbed all of the documents that flew as fast as he could. He made his way to the door but turned around before he left."Uhh, I'm going outside for a while."

Sasuke also stood up, "Yeah, Kato do you want some ice cream."

Kato sat at the end of the table with his hands in his face, "Nah, popcorn would be better."

"Kato!" Sasuke shouted.

"Right, ice cream."He jumped from the table following Sasuke. They all left Sakura and I alone in our silence.

Sakura was the first one to break the silence, she was completely shouting her brains out. "How can you look after me when you don't support me!"

"I do support you," I said calmly. I'm guessing, by the way, I said it she only got more enraged.

Sakura scoffed, she did it twice before she spoke again, "What!? You can't support me by degrading me at first. Everything that I do. Even on that mission, you didn't want me to go. You claimed that it was too dangerous. So you went and got the dead body. You wanted me nowhere near that hospital when Akane came around. You didn't even trust me to deliver our son. I saw it in your eyes. I saw how you looked at me when I told Tsaunde to cut into me. What, you don't trust me anymore?"

"I'm the one who should be saying that," I muttered to myself, I sat back down in the chair placing my hands in my head. My head was now banging against my skull. From the stress to the lack of sleep and now the yelling. I was not doing so well. I was completely drained out. I was done. I was done arguing, all of this yelling and low blows was getting us nowhere.

"I'm so done with you Naruto Uzumaki!"

"Chapter 28." I glanced back up at her. I leaned back in my chair, closing my eyes hoping that the pain in my head would soon ease.

"What?"

"Chapter 28 section 4 clearly says that arguing in front of the baby makes them aggressive. We can either talk about this like adults or not." I sighed, "You told me to read that parently book right? Now I'm implying what they said in our daily lives."

"I just want to know why I can't do the surgery." Her voice cracked, she tried to cover it up with a cough but I could see right through her.

"It doesn't matter anymore, whether I give you a reason or not you're still going to do it."

"I'm a lot stronger than you pin me out to be," she said softly,

"I never said you were weak."

The first time she looked at me, her green eyes made direct contact with mine. I could feel every emotion she was going through just by looking at her.

"Your actions speak louder than you think they do."

That one hit me hard, was I really giving her that vibe? I never considered her weak, I've always thought she was the strongest woman in the world. Whether she was sick or not. How could she even say something that crazy?

"Sakura-chan." She chose to ignore me, the baby began to cry, she got up from the chair walking towards the door. She used everything in front of her to brace herself from falling. I wasn't too far behind, I knew that she wasn't healed completely yet. She claimed that she healed herself earlier but judging from the small whimper that was coming from her I knew she was still in pain.

"He's probably hungry again." Sakura sat back down on the couch, I grabbed the blanket that was nearby, placing it in her lap. Shinachiku was still fussing, his green eyes were filled with tears.

" No need to cry, I'm here Shinachiku." Once he was in my arms I rocked him a little. He only screamed louder and that was my cue to give him to Sakura.

She lifted her shirt allowing him to latch on to her. I sat down right next to her, once again I used Shinachiku's feet to distract me from the situation.

"I'm sorry for being so rude to you. I don't know why I am like this."

"I'm sorry too."

We're slowly making progress.

"I hate arguing with you but sometimes you make me so mad"

"I'm just protecting you," I said softly, it was true. I knew her better than anyone else did. I knew her limits and what she could and could not do. This surgery was a big deal, her life and Kato's life were on the line.

She finally took her eyes off Shinachiku, looking at me I could see the hurt in her eyes. I guess I wasn't the only one that was hurting.

"That's understandable Naruto, but could you allow me to breathe. You're always answering for me. You never let me be the first one to answer."

"It's because you can be reckless sometimes."

"What can I say? I learned from the best." She mocked, it almost made me laugh but she was being serious so I decided to keep my laughter to myself.

"That's really funny Sakura-chan. Listen, I know blowing up isn't right. I take responsibility for this entire argument. I've just been irritated since last night."

I knew that I was bound to lose my attitude today. Since last night I have been feeling rage. I told myself last night that I didn't want to take my anger out on Sakura, and here I was yelling at her for no reason. I mean I had a reason but it was not valid.

Sasuke rested her head on my shoulders, she blew the fallen pieces of her hair out of her face, "I should take responsibility too. I shouldn't have blown up in your face either. I should've just calmed you down."

"It's fine, I shouldn't have released my anger out like that."

"You can only take so much. You've been through a lot these last few days."

I grabbed her chin, I wanted her to hear and feel everything I had to say, "So have you and I know that you're the only person who can do the surgery. I also know that you're strong but Sakura-chan. You gave birth last night and you're still healing from the broken bones. I can also tell that your chakra isn't fully at its potential. Last night when you were healing me I could tell."

Her eyes were glossy, she sucked in a breath with her trembling lips, "I just want to help."

"You can, you just have to take things slow."

"We don't have time to take things slow." She let a sob escape from her mouth, "We don't know when the next time he's going to attack. I just want all of this to be over so we can finally live in peace. I want all of this to just go away." I watched as she broke down on the couch. I pulled her into me, "Baby we're getting there."I whispered softly in her ear, I wiped the tears that were falling from her face with the back of my hands.

"Not fast enough Naruto."

"Sakura-chan just be patient. Just bear with it for a few more days and it'll all be over."

"How do you know?" She looked at me with those big green eyes, gosh how they reminded me of Shinachiku.

I honestly didn't know if it would be over in a few days, I was just saying something. Who knows when all of this will be over. That's what's driving me insane now. I didn't know when all of this was going to stop. The sooner the better. Once this stops I'll be able to relax, I wouldn't be as stressed or even an asshole. Sakura-chan and I probably wouldn't argue as much as we did now. We'd be happy, things were so much better before Tezo came into our lives.

I smiled against her forehead, I used my hand to tickle her a little."I've saved the world once Sakura-chan."

She giggled a little, she then swatted my hand's eyes, "Yeah if it weren't for me saving your ass from the dead we'd all be dead."

"Exactly, that's why I need you to get better so you can heal me again."

"Okay, I'll get better for you and Shinachiku of course."

She said silently for a few minutes, her gaze was fixated outside. I knew arguing wasn't the best route but there was plenty of times where Sakura and I would argue. We'd make up and learn from the situation.

"Hey, you know that I love you right? No matter how many arguments we get in, I'm still madly in love with you. I could never leave you Sakura-chan. " I wiped another fallen teat from her face, she chuckled lightly, she placed a chase kiss on my lips.

"I know, I love you too. No matter how many times you can piss me off, it still wouldn't make me want to leave you," she murmured against my lips.

"I can't believe we were at each other's throats a few minutes ago and now we're fine."

"Me either," I jumped at the sound of Kato's voice. He was standing near the edge of the chair with a bag of chips.

"I thought you were getting ice cream?"

Kato scoffed, "Naruto-nii chan, do you really think people are selling ice cream after our village got attacked."

"No." Kato had officially made me feel like the biggest dumbass on the planet. How could I let a six-year-old talk to me like that?

"Exactly, Sasuke nii-chan was just saying something to leave. It was getting awkward."

Sasuke appeared from behind the door, he gave Kato a good smack on the head, "Don't state the obvious Kato."

Shikamaru also came back, he took a seat on the couch next to us, "Well since we're all in a good mood, let's get back to business."

"Hai."

"So with the surgery coming up, there are a lot of things that could go wrong. Akane isn't here so that's what's making things more complicated. Technically we'd have to get consent from Tezo since he is the only known family member."

"Why can't we just do it?" I ask.

"Because we don't want anyone going to jail. However, there has been something that Sasuke and I have been working on."

"I have a gift for Kato." Sasuke held out a scroll in his hands. Kato's eyes lit up, he found a seat next to Sasuke on the couch, he was now bouncing on the couch."Gifts! I like gifts."

"What gift?" Sakura asks, right along with her I was generally confused as well. Sasuke was never the type to give gifts. Especially to kids, he wasn't the biggest fan of kids.

Shikamaru grinned,"You're about to see."

"Here's your present."Sasuke handed Kato a scroll and he looked at the black scroll blankly, "I was expecting more but you are cheap Sasuke-nii chan."

"You fucker just open it." Sasuke seethed.

Kato stuck out his tongue, he opened the scroll. He sat there for a while looking over it.

Sakura and I were on the edge of our seats, we were expecting something to pop out but nothing happened. We were just looking at Kato who looked confused too.

Sasuke rolled his eyes at the boy, he opened the scroll wider so Kato could read it more,"Read it out loud so everyone can hear it."

Kato nodded his head, "This is to certify that Kato has been formally adopted into the Uchiha Family by Sasuke Uchiha."

"What!" Sakura and I screamed out at the same time. I nearly fainted, all of my blood drained from my face to my heart. I felt myself getting emotional, the back of my throat when dry. I knew it was over when I saw Kato's bottom lip quiver.

"Sasuke nii-chan what does this mean?"

Sasuke smiled,"Read it more Kato."

"The definition of adoption is the fact of legally taking another's child and bringing it up as one's own...wait what...we're family now."

Kato looked back up at Sasuke, he didn't say anything, he just stared. Sasuke nudged the side of Kato's body with his arm, that teme had the biggest grin on his face."We've been family, I just had to make it legal."

"I can stay here with you guys!?" Kato shouted, he jumped up from the chair running towards the middle of the floor.

"You're here with us forever."

In all of the months that Kato has been here I have never seen that little boy cry. He stood in the middle of the floor and completely broke down. Sasuke was the first to grab him, he fell into Sasuke's arms crying even. I choked up as well, I could feel my tears falling down my face. I held on to Sakura's as tight as I could. She too was crying right along with everyone else.

"Thank you"

"We love you, Kato," Sasuke whispered in his ear

Kato broke out of Sasuke's embrace, he ran towards me jumping in my arms. Sakura and I both embraced him, we gave him some of the biggest kisses in the world. "I'm so happy, I have a family."

"We're happy to have you, Kato."
