Kato POV

Who was I, I couldn't tell if I saw it on a piece of paper. I hated this part of me...killing people wasn't my style anymore. Especially my family, I didn't have anyone else yet my two uncles are out to kill me for power. I guess that's the world we lived in.

"You can stop now." I quietly told my body, it wasn't me who was fighting my uncle, it was my body. Each punch or kick I threw was all muscle memory. I would rather him just kill me than fight him, I'm only hurting my body physically. I was sitting here in my own body without any control of what was going on. I felt myself sink slower and slower into this pit that I knew my uncle was already in. If I let it consume me there is no telling who I might hurt. I was trained to not trust anyone, and I didn't want to hurt anyone else.

"You can stop now," I said again, I just wanted to get this over with. I know for a fact that I could kill Ruzu right now but that would cause some deep traumatic shit to occur and I was not ready for that but then again I couldn't keep destroying this village. That isn't fair to the people who live here and call this place their home. I had a big decision to make, who was I to decide the fate of this village.

"You can stop now." Nothing happened, I was lying in a pit of sand or was it in my imagination? It was slowly becoming watery...the more it did the slower I began to feel comfortable with the fact. My eyes started to get heavy...my head began to hurt.

Naruto POV

"Killing you." Kato grabbed Ruzu's throat with his sharp nails, his nails were digging further into his throat. Ruzu didn't flinch once, he sat there allowing Kato to stab him in his throat.

I looked over to Sasuke to see if he had a game plan because I clearly did not. How were we supposed to get through this? It would be wrong for us to split up but then again how could we fight along with Kato. I didn't know his fighting style or if he could keep up. Apparently, Sasuke had more faith in him than I did because he was just sitting there watching him. He seemed so confident in him yet I didn't.

"Kato wait we do-"I yelled out, Tezo came from the side of me kicking me towards the tree. Be completely cut off my sentence. Luckily I blocked it before it caused any damage to my head. He was doing what he did earlier, he was trying to split us up.

"Back the hell up blondie, can't you see he's trying to fight him."

"Kato get back before it's too late!"

He didn't listen, he sat there with his hands around Ruzu's neck. It was like he was frozen in time, his gaze was fixated on him like he was reading his soul.

"What the hell is going on!?"

Tezo laughed, "They're fighting for each other's power, instead of killing the other one you can absorb their chakra throughout your hand. It's a gene that was passed down from our family, those two lucky bastards got it. You can't kill to get it, you have to be born with it. I have the gene but it won't activate but who knows maybe my kids will be able to activate it."

"You guys are sick as fuck."

The first time Sasuke finally entered the conversation, "You guys have many abilities but each ability has a weakness. That seal you put in Kato's head to stop him from remembering things that he loved. Certain things around here triggered him to remember those things. You guys have a lot of holes in your abilities."

The ground began to shake. At first, I thought it was an earthquake, however the ground wasn't breaking. Kato and Ruzu were making a creator in the middle of the ground, it was like they were sucking in the earth with. Kato and Ruzu were fighting with an abundant amount of chakra, it felt like I was standing in war again. Nothing but fog could be seen, that's how much dirt was being tossed around. Sasuke was fighting Tezo but it seemed like Tezo was not as strong as he was when we first began to fight him. His movements were slower than they were before. Plus he hasn't used that disappearing technique that he loved to use.

Sasuke punched him towards me, I used my foot to kick him back towards Sasuke who was waiting with his chidori. Miraculously Tezo dodged it but it did scrape the side of his abdomen. He was starting to get slack, it was getting easier and easier to attack him. I stayed back a few feet away to watch his movements to make sure that I was not going crazy. Something honestly was up with him.

Sasuke jumped back to where I was standing, he and Tezo were only fighting for two minutes and Tezo was already tired. His hands were on his knees and his chest was heaving up and down. It was almost as if all of his power was sucked out of his body.

"What's up with him?" I asked, Sasuke looked at me with a smirk on his face. He pointed towards Kato and Ruzu who were both clawing at each other's faces. I was still confused by what he was implying so I asked him again.

Sasuke huffed, "Can't you tell? It seems like Ruzu took some of his power for his fight with Kato. He's nowhere near how he was when we first fought him."

We both ran towards him again, he jumped up but not as high as he usually would. Sasuke grabbed his ankle slamming him back into the ground. He got up snarling up at us, Sasuke kicked him back to the ground. This went on for a few minutes, I held out my hand to stop him kicking him into the ground.

Tezo dropped to the ground from exhaustion, you could really tell that he was on his last leg. "If you want to kill me, do it now. That's if you want the satisfaction, I'm going to die anyway. I honestly don't care anymore."

Sasuke pulled out his sword and it was pointed towards Tezo. Sasuke held it towards his neck, in one swift motion he could take off his entire head. I grabbed Sasuke's hand pushing it in the other direction. "I'm not going to kill you unless you put up a fight."

"I can disagree with that Naruto, it's better if we kill him now then finish off Ruzu."

As much as I wanted to agree with Sasuke I couldn't, there was so much more I needed to get out of them. I knew from speaking to both of the brothers that Tezo would talk faster than his older brother. He honestly didn't care as long as he got something in return. I figured that out about him a while ago.

"Tell us how to stop your brother and we'll let you live."

Tezo lifted an eyebrow up at him, he deeply chuckled leaning back on his arms, "What do you mean to stop him? The only person who can stop him is the brat over there. I mean you can interfere but I wouldn't, Kato would probably rip your head off if you didn't."

I looked over to Sasuke for confirmation, out of all people knew Kato the best. They had been training together these past few months. Sasuke only nodded his head agreeing with Tezo.

"It's like to alpha wolves battling with one another, if another alpha wolf were to join then it would just cause more chaos," Sasuke added, I looked over to the damaged trees that were left behind from Kato and Ruzu, it left a trail leading to where they are now.

"So how do we fix all of this, you know the answer to all of this."

"Kill Ruzu and everything will be back to normal, if Ruzu kills Kato then things will be worse than they are now. If you want your friend back from the hospital, kill Ruzu."

"What do you mean?"

"Everything from the "viruses' ' and to your friend being in that comma is all Ruzu's doing. Curse work that he learned long ago. He has the power of it all, it's all mental. Just like the zombies in the underground tunnel, they're all controlled by him.``

"Why are you telling us this?"

Tezo looked up to the sky, his legs were now crossed as he sat on the green grass."I honestly don't care if he lives or dies. All my life I have lived in my brother's shadows, I have never once lived for myself. I don't even know who I am. I've always waited for hand and foot for their needs because I thought if I did that someone would love me. I wanted to run into our family, I wanted everyone to feel the pain I felt when I was growing up. That's why I killed my mom first so my dad could suffer. Then my dad so my brother could suffer. That's when I got Kato to murder his dad and brother. Ruzu wanted power, I just wanted love. That's what people get confused about with the entire situation, I didn't care for Kato's powers. I did it because I know my brother would be happy and that would make me feel loved. I never had anyone, so I don't care if I die here or not. It's better if someone takes me out other than myself because there's not a day where I don't think about it." Tezo rubbed the back of his head, he smiled up at both Sasuke and I. "I'm sorry that turned dark quick...it feels weird. That was the first time I was honest with myself."

"I'm sorry to hear that man...you never got to live life."

"It's okay...maybe in the afterlife I can be free. The chain of guilt I have been bearing will be gone… One more thing, I'm sorry about everything I caused here. I'm also sorry about what I did to your girlfriend, it was all an act. I hated every second of it, don't think I'm that kind of person. I've grown, but now that I am older I have realized my mistakes. Even with Akane, I didn't want to kill her but I had to. I also didn't want to hurt that Yuna woman but I had to."

"Tez0…"

His eyes glossed, he looked as if he was about to cry but he kept his attention up at the skep."Maybe in another life, we could've been friends. I have never had a friend before, I don't even consider my brother my friend. They have all stabbed me in the back countless times."

"If you want all of this to end, attack Ruzu all at once, don't give him time to counterattack or rebuild his chakra. You'll exhaust him, join the fight at your own risk though. It could go either way, Kato could attack you both, or he'll see that you're truly trying to help him. That's if he is not too far gone yet but I would hurry."

"What about you?"

"I'm dying, I'd rather just sit here and look up at the sky. Tell Kato that I'm sorry, I could have been a better uncle for him but I was taught to hate yet he was too, and look at how he turned out. He's the sweetest person on the planet so I guess that's a sorry excuse for me isn't it.

"You did well, don't dwell too much on it."

Tezo only nodded his head, Sasuke and I stayed a few more minutes with him before we took off in the direction of Ruzu and Kato. My heart tugged a little for him, there was only so much we could do for him.

Sasuke didn't look back once but I could not help myself looking back, in a way he reminded me of someone but I could not put my finger on it.

As we ran we both noticed how the village was slowly falling apart, almost everything was blown to pieces. Kato and Ruzu are destroying everything in their path, they're even taking out half of Ruzu's men while they're at it.

"We need to hurry before Kato gets too into his head."

"Do you think we need backup?" I asked, I honestly never fought this man before. By the way, it looks like he can absorb other people's chakra but I am not sure if it's only people in his clan or people in general.

"Naruto watch out!" The sky above me got dark, I looked up to see a boulder as big as a house coming down on me. The only option I had was to get crushed by it or to try to catch it with my bare hands. I closed my eyes to wait for the impact but it never came, only a grainy feeling like sand was falling on me. At first, I thought it was residue from the boulder but I looked up to see that the rock was covered in sand, then it was thrown away to the other side of the village.

"Gaara!" I shouted, he was floating on top of his sand, he looked as stoic as ever but I could tell he was just as happy to see me. I was so ecstatic to see him, I can't even remember the last time I saw him. "What are you doing here?"

"Back up was called the other day and we're just now getting here." He said slowly, he pointed behind him to his army of men and women. "Point us into the direction we need to go."

Sasuke stepped in front of me, he of all people knew what was going on other than me who was assigned to watch Kato and look how that ended. "We need more men on the east border, Ruzu's people flowing in like a waterfall. Send your best medics to the tunnels and the Hokage's mountains. Those are where our civilians are at. Send your strongest men about 500 feet that way, there's a man there by the name of Tezo. We're not sure if he's dead or not but we want to take caution. Keep an eye on him."

Gaara nodded his head, then the men and women behind began to scatter, they all knew their places and started to run that way. "Temari you go to the intelligence room to help out, Kankuro you go help out with that Tezo guy. Temari if you're not needed there then go to the front line of the east border. I am going to head off to find your Hokage."

Sasuke and I nodded, and when he was out of sight we took off towards the area where Kato was. They left an obvious trail behind them so it wasn't that hard for us to find them. We needed an organized plan in order for this to work.

"Sasuke, what's your plan?"

"Attack." He said calmly.

"What!?" I shouted, he didn't say anything else, he ran faster towards the competition. His susano was starting to show, I guess he wanted to get this over with quickly.

"Are you good to go to Kurama?"

"The real question is, are you ready scary cat?" His voice echoed in my head. I only laughed at his remark, there was much I could say to him.

"You fucking bastard!" I yelled!

"Let's go!"

I felt Kurama's chakra run through my veins, Sasuke was ahead of me running towards Kato and Ruzu.
