Summary
After a raging battle, the Knight trap master duo, Knight Light and Knightmare, take shelter in a storm that surged during the fight, with one of Knightmare's hooves cracked and Knight Light's wing dislocated, they decided to continue traveling on foot to look for the nearest portal spawn after the storm clears. While this occurs they finally decided to put their rivalry down for good and work together to try to attempt to get back to the academy safely. With no signal from them, Snapshot was getting a little worried about the rival duo and Riptide getting worried about his adoptive father and one of his favorite Skylanders about not returning home. Will they return?
After waking up, Knightmare started to get up shortly after Knight Light woke up, the rain slowly stopped as the duo started to head out. The two walked quietly down the path without neither of them talking.
"Let's agree that none of this happened." Knightmare said to break the silence.
"We're both still injured." He told her.
"I know, but about what happened last night." She replied. "I just want to put this rivalry behind us, if any time after today that we're on a mission that caused us to be in trouble, it's both our fault."
"I can agree with you." He said.
They continued their travel until they made it to a portal platform, they swiped their card to activate the portal, a few seconds later the portal is powered on and they both entered. The portal took them back to the main Island of Skylands where Snapshot was standing with Ambush, Tuff Luck, Lapdite with Sakura in her arms, and Staris who was holding Riptide's hand.
"We were wondering when you both return." Snapshot said.
"Dad!" Riptide yelled as he let of the Spell punk's hand.
The boy ran over to his father and hugged him, Knight Light hugged his adoptive son back. Lapdite's eyes widen as Sakura woke up from her nap.
"What the heck happened while we were away?" Lapdite asked.
"Both of you are really muddy." Staris said.
"Wait where were you the last month?" Knightmare asked.
"Did you guys not remember that I was going to have mine and Ambush's first child?" She asked.
"I don't think we were told." Knight Light answered.
"No you both weren't." Ambush said as he carefully grabbed his daughter. "And what happened while you both were stuck out there?"
"Well, I dislocated my wing while Knightmare ended up getting a rock stuck in one of her hooves, so it was a bit nuts." Knight Light told them.
"You both are hurt." Alanna said as she looked at Knightmare's hoof. "You both need rest, and a good wash."
"She's right." Snapshot told them. "And I think you owe someone some time Knight Light."
Riptide still stood next to Snapshot and Staris as he smiled at his dad, which showed Knight Light that he was glad that he returned safely.
"I'll tell you about the battle once we start to rest up." Knight light told Riptide.
