Chapter 56- Advent Diaboromon
*Outside Lastation Basilicom*
"DIVINE RETRIBUTION!" Urusei Yatsura cried, lightning arcing from her hands and frying several Tenga!
"Thanks, Mrs. Alien!" a nearby Lastation Army soldier complimented, he and his fellow soldiers promptly rallying against the large flock of crows!
"Princess, get inside! It's too dangerous out here!" Wing Gundam insisted, as he and G Gundam fended off several attacking Tenga themselves!
"But-!" Asseylum tried to protest, only for Mikuru to grab and drag her through the Basilicom doors! Meanwhile, Neon Evangelion had engaged Lilithmon up in the air, her force field blocking a Nazar Nail attack!
"What a coward, hiding behind your shield all the time~!" Lilithmon taunted.
"Your taunts mean nothing to me," Neon calmly retorted, suddenly vanishing before slamming into the Demon Lord from behind, smashing her into the wall of the Basilicom! "Even shields can be used offensively with some clever thinking!"
"Get... OFF!" Lilithmon cried, unleashing a dark pulse which knocked the alien back! Turning to face her opponent, the succubus then intoned, "Phantom Pain!" A sigil appeared which blasted an intense energy beam at the angelic alien, her force field cracking, then shattering!
"What?!" Neon gasped in disbelief, before getting a double-footed kick to the stomach, sending her crashing to the ground! Before she could get up, Lilithmon had her pinned to the ground by the neck with her left hand!
"Any last words, Oracle?" the Demon Lord grinned sinisterly, raising her claw for a lethal strike...
"Taiyoken!" A bright light suddenly filled the area, almost everyone crying out in pain as they were blinded! Though Lilithmon hadn't been looking upward, it was bright enough that even she flinched for a moment... then a foot slammed into her face, knocking her off Neon and sending her tumbling away!
"Have no fear, Orange Heart, the heroine of love and dreams is here!" the CPU announced her presence, taking her stance.
"Uh... and so is Dragon Ball!" DB stuttered as she landed next to Uzume, already in Super form. "Oracle, go help the others! We'll handle this!"
"Thank you. Your timing was impeccable," Neon acknowledged, righting her self and flying off to assist the army.
"...Blinding your enemy, huh? Nice little trick," Lilithmon grunted as she rubbed her sore cheek. "But it takes more than cheap tricks to overcome a Demon Lord!"
"Trust me, you haven't seen what I'm really capable of yet!" Dragon Ball retorted. Her golden aura flared as her hair seemed to become even spikier, sparks now crackling about her!
"You expect your little light show to intimidate me?!" Lilithmon growled as she took to the air again, DB and Orange Heart flying after her. She blocked a kick from DB with her claw, her other hand grabbing Uzume's arm as she went in for a left straight, then roughly tossing her aside! DB then threw several lightning-fast punches, Lilithmon blocking with her arms, only for Orange Heart come in from above, kicking her in the head and sending her down to the street! The Demon Lord managed to catch herself on her hands and knees, quickly flying away from DB's follow-up blow!
"Kamehameha!" Dragon Ball intoned, shooting an energy beam from her cupped hands!
"Darkness Love!" Lilithmon countered. While the dark heart-shaped blast wasn't able to stop DB's attack, it did slow it enough for Lilithmon to evade! "You'll have to do better than that!" She then saw several human-face fish drones flying above, dropping several bombs toward her! "Oh no you don't!" she yelled as she flew away from the drop zone, the bombs turning the street below into rubble! But then Lilithmon was hit by a Dream Combo from Orange Heart, getting pummeled into the street herself!
"Give up, villain!" Uzume yelled as she continued to pound away!
"Never!" Lilithmon screamed as she repulsed the CPU with a dark energy wave. But then, she saw someone with a sword out of the corner of her eye, quickly bringing up her golden claw to parry the slash! "YOU! Sistermon Ciel!"
"You know me, I'm flattered," Ciel said as she backed off, her Clover Blade in a ready stance. "It seems I made the right choice coming to this world after all!"
"Not unless you've brought any Royal Knights with you," Lilithmon shot back as she righted herself. "A Champion-level like you stands no chance against me!"
"I'm not fighting you, I'm distracting you," the Sistermon taunted, Lilithmon's eyes widening just before DB nailed her with a flying kick, sending her skidding across the pavement!
"Dammit, how could I have fallen for that trick?!" Lilithmon groaned as she pulled herself up. Just then, the other CPUs appeared in the skies above! "Curses! They've already defeated Momus?!" Standing to her feet, she cried out, "Diaboromon, ARISE!" A dark sigil appeared on the street before her, the Mega-level Digimon slowly rising out of it!
"Oh, no!" Sistermon Ciel cried in horror. "Not Diaboromon! Everyone, get back!"
Lilithmon laughed evilly. "So you know what this one's capable of, do you? Too bad that knowledge won't save you! Destroy them all!"
"Yes, mother," Diaboromon obeyed, stretching it's claw out to grab Ciel-
-only to recoil as Uni shot said claw with her rifle! "I don't think so, you monster!"
"My word... so this is the virus's final evolution," Green Heart noted with a mix of horror and disgust.
"It's even scarier than before!" White Sister Blue shuddered.
"Then it stands to us to destroy it!" Purple Heart asserted.
"Lastation Army, fall back! You can't handle a being like this!" Black Heart ordered.
"That goes for everyone from my cluster as well, save Neon and DB!" Haruhi appended.
"Roger that! Everyone into the Basilicom!" Wing Gundam called, he and the others promptly fleeing inside.
"Catastrophe Cannon!" Diaboromon intoned, firing several energy blasts from the green gem in it's chest, scattering the CPUs! It then stretched out with it's massive claws...
"Oh no you don't!" Rom and Ram exclaimed as they froze one claw with ice before it could reach them, said claw promptly retracting! The other claw missed grabbing Nepgear, only to catch a lagging Lastation Army soldier instead, Diaboromon promptly squeezing and crushing the poor man to death, in gory Mortal Kombat style!
"NOOOO!" Nepgear cried out at such a messy death! "How dare you, even NPCs don't deserve that!" She promptly fired on the evil Digimon with her arm cannon, strkining it in the face and making it recoil!
(Wait, such a weak attack affected him?) Sistermon Ciel thought, mystified. (Unless...) She then saw Purple and Black Heart angling to attack Diaboromon from behind! "Watch out for his spikes!" Sure enough, the spikes on Diaboromon's back suddenly extended, Neptune and Noire barely flying out of harm's way!
"Whoa! We would have been skewered if Ciel hadn't warned us!" Black Heart gasped in shock and relief, before blocking Diaboromon's outstretched claw with her massive sword!
"Let's see how you handle this, then!" Purple Heart declared pointing to the sky... "32-Bit Mega Blade!" The massive virtual sword bore down on the Digimon, only for it to deflect it away with another Catastrophe Cannon!
(That attack should have been destroyed outright, not deflected!) Ciel realized. Acting on a hunch, she charged in with her sword, sliding under Diaboromon's claw swipe, then slicing at it's head! The demonic Digimon visibly jerked back in pain, Ciel quickly flipping and cartwheeling away from it's retaliation! "Lady Noire, everyone! This isn't the real Diaboromon, it's a fake, a shade! It only has the power of an Ultimate-level! My attack shouldn't have affected it at all!"
"A fake?!" White Heart gasped. "Where the hell is the real one then?!"
"Wouldn't you like to know!" Lilithmon taunted as she continued to trade blows with Dragon Ball in the skies above.
"I'm still powerful enough to destroy you!" The fake Digimon cried as it abruptly leapt into the air, swinging and hitting Purple Heart with it's claw, sending her crashing into the building across the street!
"NEPTUNE!" Purple Sister yelled in dismay!
"Keep it together, Nepgear!" Green Heart yelled as she deflected Diaboromon's claw away from Nepgear and herself! "Neptune won't die that easily! You should know that!"
"R, right!" Nepgear nodded, regaining her composure somewhat. "Let's attack together then, Vert!"
"Broken Fannings!" They intoned together, attacking Diaboromon from opposite sides-
Only for their enemy to easily parry their attacks with his claws, before slashing and sending them crashing into nearby buildings as well! "Pathetic! You cannot harm a god such as myself!"
"Typical demon, claiming godhood!" White Heart snarled. "Ram, let's get this bastard!"
"Okay!" White Sister Pink nodded, pointing her staff at the Digimon. "Hex Ravine!" she cried, a sigil appearing at the end of her staff, which shot an ice beam so powerful it knocked the CPU Candidate off her feet! Said beam froze Diaboromon in a massive pillar of ice, Blanc then slashing four times with her axe, ending with a powerful overhead smash that caused a crater in the street!
"That oughta slow him down a bit!" White Heart asserted... only for the ice formation to explode, Diaboromon promptly climbing out of the crater! "...or not." Blanc quickly blocked the fake demon's stretchy claw, though the impact sent her flying backwards a fair distance!
"Nghhhh..." Purple Heart grunted in mild pain as she took to the air again. "Clearly we need to up our game!" Raising a hand to the sky, she cried, "I call upon the power of the Hyper Share Crystal! Access NEXT Form!" She promptly went through her transformation sequence, drawing the fake Diaboromon's attention...
"Catastrophe Cannon!" the demon cried, firing at Neptune from it's chest gem, only for the shots to dissipate with no effect! "What?!"
"Sorry, no attacking while I'm transforming!" Neptune taunted as the sequence completed. "Now then, feel the power of a true goddess! Victory Slash!" Diaboromon attempted to parry the attack, only for it's claws to be sliced clean off!
"NO!" the fake Digimon cried in disbelief, attempting to fire on NEXT Purple only for her to dodge easily!
"It's on the ropes! Let's finish it, Rom!" White Heart exclaimed.
"Okay! Third Break!" White Sister Blue called, imbuing her sister with enhancing magic from her staff! "Do it, Big Sis!"
"DIE!" Blanc cried as she swung her axe down, causing a shockwave that tore up the street, hitting Diaboromon dead-on and cracking his chest gem!
"EX Multi Blaster: Empress!" Black Sister yelled as she blasted the fake demon with a massive yellow blast from her rifle, the chest gem cracking even more!
"And now... Sylhet Spear!" Green Heart intoned, the massive lance piercing the chest gem and impaling Diaboromon straight through!
"It's not... over..." the fake Digimon rasped, before dissolving into 1s and 0s.
"Looks like your minion's done for!" Dragon Ball taunted as she unleashed several rapid-fire punches at Lilithmon, the Demon Lord only able to block!
"They've only destroyed a copy!" Lilithmon shot back, before expelling an Evil Sigh from her mouth to blind the alien!
"(cough) I can still- sense your energy-!" DB grunted as she flew backwards out of the deadly miasma. She blocked a Darkness Love attack, only for the demon herself to hit DB from above sending her down and crashing into the street! "Okay, that wasn't half-bad..." Lilithmon's victory was short-lived, however, as Orange Heart and Neon both hit her with flying kicks, sending her crashing into a nearby steel wall!
"Give up, villain! You can't beat all of us!" Uzume taunted.
"Fools..." Lilithmon grunted as she pulled herself loose, landing on the pavement below. "This fight was just a distraction. My Mega-level virus is wreaking havoc elsewhere as we speak!"
"Then we shall make you tell us where it is," Neon stated.
"Not today!" the Demon Lord exclaimed, pulling out a mobile device. "That's the wonderful thing about these network-capable cell phones.. they make easy escape-hatches!" With that, she suddenly dissolved into data which flowed into the phone!
"NO!" DB cried as she zipped over to where the phone had fallen, but as soon as she grasped it, the device suddenly sparked and smoked, going dead! "Crap! I didn't do that, I swear!"
"It would seem it was programmed to destroy itself once Lilithmon utilized it to escape, so we couldn't trace her," Neon postulated as she touched down beside her fellow alien.
"Aww, why does the bad guy always get away in the end?!" Orange Heart complained.
"Wait, what about the Tenga?!" Green Heart asked.
"Don't worry, we took care of 'em!" Ultradimension IF said as she and her counterpart walked up. "They were no match for us working together!"
"You should've seen the looks on their faces when they realized I was Overlord Momus!" Hyperdimension IF chuckled, still in her 'villain' armor-suit.
"Well, that's good, but we still gotta find those demons!" Black Sister insisted, "before they completely wreck the Internep or something!"
"Sister Ciel, do you think you could track them down?" Black Heart queried.
"I could try, but there's no way I can take them on by myself," Sistermon Ciel shook her head. "Maybe I should have asked one of the Royal Knights to accompany me after all..."
"Wait, I have an idea!" Neptune exclaimed as she reverted to normal. "Nep Jr., do you still have that Nepulus Rift thingy laying around?"
"The Nepulus Rift?! Yes, of course!" Nepgear nodded as she also reverted her transformation, the other CPUs doing the same. "And I think there's one other thing I can do to help as well! Haruhi, are you here?"
"Of course! Like I said, just observing!" Haruhi said as she appeared with a certain NPC at her side. "Although, I replaced that one soldier with a fake so he wouldn't die..."
"Thank you, Lady Haruhi!" the soldier gasped in relief.
"Wow, thanks from me too!" Uni nodded with a relieved smile.
"Right, and I'll contact the GM for 4 Goddesses Online, so she can help track those Digimon as well!" Vert asserted.
"Well, first, let's check the Basilicom and make sure they're not destroying the computer systems in there!" Noire said, promptly heading for said building with the others following, Haruhi and Nepgear teleporting away to Planeptune.
"By the way..." the Lastation soldier turned to the two IFs. "You were Overlord Momus all along? But why?"
"I was just trying to make sure everyone was ready for a new enemy when they appeared..." Hyper IF sighed, bowing her head. "But it's my fault those two demons are running loose now..."
"It's okay, other me," Ultra IF laid a hand on the other's shoulder. "I'm sure Mama Neptune and the others will handle it, especially after the, um, training you put them all through..."
"Mama Neptune...?!" the NPC soldier pondered.
"D-don't you dare tell her I called her that!" Ultra IF blushed. "A-anyway, let's get inside with the others!"
"Right!" the soldier nodded, he and the two IFs heading to the Basilicom...
