[Cues: Beats by Con – Lofi Type Beat 'Two of Us']

Twiins Iink. She just released a video for Valentine's Day about her top 10 picks for husbandos, and I figured why not deluge by top 10 waifus to celebrate Valentine's Day (even if I'll post it after the day in question). The month of love…or if you're single, a day to be reminded of that status and annoyed with everyone making a big deal of it.

I'll be using the same rules: only named characters. I may have better luck than Twiins as I got more characters to chose from. Even if some of them are nothing characters or just flat out awful. Welp, let's get started.

Number 10 – Maria Calavera

A silver eyed warrior that doesn't put me disappoint. Young or old, the design is quite interesting suiting someone who calls her the 'Grim Reaper'. Voice work's ok, and she's along some of the few to deliver any decent fights in the Volume. She is at the bottom of my list though…and it only goes uphill from her.

Number 9 – Trifa

Sadly, she's barely in the show enough, but she is a minor villain sadly more forgettable than the show's own continuity. However, she has a rather interesting design and faunus features in spider web-like veins on her body. It really does give me Spider-Man vibes, and I wonder if anyone has done fanwork of Trifa as some of spider hero in Remnant. Though I will note Trifa's veins does remind of Balalaika from Black Lagoon.

Number 8 – Neo

Yes, an obvious choice. Great design and slick fighting style. Sadly, this character was bungled by the later volumes and that laughable novel with that 'backstory'. Neo was a character of mysterious who worked off well of Roman Torchwick. But she's still beloved the fandom.

Number 7 – The Malachite Family (Miltiades, Melanie, and Little Miss Malachite)

Yes, they're all tied. You can't go wrong with sassy twins, and I'll include the mother to say they're all easy on the eyes. The twins' designs were interesting and stylish while sporting subtle weaponry in their heels. The mother's design is…okay. It stands out and the tattoo is cool, but it's just not popping (per the trend of bland designs Post V4). Considering Yang was supposed to have problems with people who fights with kicks…and that was never addressed. Ironically, Lil' Miss Malachite was supposed to be an enemy of Yang's, but that never happened. Lil' Miss Malachite was also supposed to be thinner, but she's fine the way she is. As for the mother, she got that sass as well. Any character who can get Cinder to cow in submission (aside from Salem) gets points in my book.

Number 6 – Neon Katt

From design, to powers, to her VA, to weapons, she's quite simply fun to be around. She's cute. While I'm not one for clubbing as I've more of an introvert. Plus, she's not angsty like a certain other cat girl who will not be mentioned.

Number 5 – Raven Branwen

Odd choice given one was on my worst characters list, a long time ago, but the reason for me ties to why I despise Post Beacon Yang. Yang was one of my favorite characters pre Volume 3, like Neon she was fun. But she's just sulky and unpleasant to be around post V3 and it was a slow drag to being completely unbearable (thanks V8). Raven for her cowardice was pretty reasonable in not wanting to be apart of Salem and Ozpin's war…she just went about it poorly. I really do like both Raven and Yang's designs (again, not her post V3 outfits), but I realized I couldn't make a tie because I rather Raven than Yang to hang around with.

Number 4 – Reese Chorlis

Skater girls greatly appeal me as I was a big fan of skateboarding having collected several toys and video games. Even today, watching someone board gives me a thrill. Plus, I have a preference for tomboys…and you'll see this crop up again. Reese has that fun vibe that Neon got, though I'd say Reese has the more outlandish and interesting weapon though.

Number 3 – Glynda Goodwitch

Classy? Well designed? Blonde hair that flows? A voice that's smooth but turn sharp on a dime? Check all the way. Glynda Goodwitch is all those things and more. You can't tell me the creators did not give Glynda a riding crop as a weapon and not expect anyone to make the dominatrix connection. One could call her a watered down and nicer Emma Frost.

Number 2 – Penny Polendina

Honestly, she and the number 1 pick could go in either spot. Penny may not be stacked like the others on this, but she has something cover most of the others. The ability to be endearing. She was the fish out of the water, the new face to the fold with a lot of potential. One could call her a better version of Ruby in a sense. Meino Kaen's JPDE really helps to highlight this, and that game is the reason Penny is high on my list. A cute girl packing some serious firepower and wanting to explore the world. YES. (And then they killed her twice.)

Now before I go to my number 1, I got some honorable and dishonorable mentions.

~Honorable Mentions~

Arslan Atlan (Really nice design, love the martial arts aesthetic.)

Violet Peach (Because I'm referring to the JPDE version, I couldn't put her on the list.)

Velvet Scarlatina (Easy pick for cutness and voice alone. Consider her my number 11.)

Kali Belladonna (Ironically, she's the best mother out of the main girl's moms by virtue of not being a deadbeat or…dead in general. While I do like her…I didn't think she would fit in my top 10.)

Pyrrha Nikos (I would put her on the top 10, but…her simping for Jaune took points off.)

Sienna Khan (Number 12)

Weiss Schnee (While V8 screwed over her character, I still like her far more than the rest of the team.)

~Dishonorable Mentions~

Emerald Sustrai (Same problems as Pyrrha, but the added issue of flakiness.)

Cinder Fall (You'll bang her out of hate…and considering her personality is shite…may as well be a one-night stand.)

Salem (She's basically an attractive Karen. She's hot, but she's at the bottom ring of my list.)

Coco Adel (I really liked the idea and design of this character. Her appearance stood out, but the book made her a complete tool. Even if I added her (and ignore what she did in the books) to my top 10 list, some SJW would cancel me for it because in the books she's shown to be a lesbian.)

Ruby Rose (Volumes 7 and 8 really made her scummy. Good looks don't save crap personality for me.)

Yang Xiao Long (See Raven Branwen's entry for why.)

Blake Belladonna (Good looks don't save crap personality for me. Bellabooty is overrated.)

~And now for Number 1~

Number 1 – Nora Valkyrie

While she did get the shaft in Volumes 7 and 8, I am a bit more forgiving (mostly because the rest of the main cast was far worse.). Nora can be considered the Yang of JPNR, which ironically fits my tastes. She also checks a lot of boxes. Redhead? Check. Tomboy? Check. Extroverted? Check. Fit? Yes. I do have an affinity for wielders of electricity as they light up lives.

(A/N: And there you have it, my top 10 waifus. This really got me thinking in my taste in RWBY girls. I actually had a hard time picking. Man, this show's characters got problem. To think I'd have the main girls in my top 10 in the past…times change. Next time, we go to working on some oneshots.)
