Remnant. Or at the wreckage of it. So much destroyed…and such also was all the life on it. But Six, he remained on it practically alone, save for her. Salem, former Queen of Grimm,…at this point was queen of nothing.

"You did this…you…"

"So the Brothers were killed…all that was left was the remains of their power." Salem said as Noble Six had a gun to her head. "Don't even bother with that. I am not Ozpin."

With a snap of her fighters, his body was frozen.

"I may not have my Grimm powers, but I have dozens of years in magic over you." Salem said shaking her deal.

"You let them be turned to dust!" He roared.

"You're equally to blame. You made it easier for humanity to tear itself apart. Making the people distrust huntsmen? The only things keeping the Grimm at bay, real smart of you." Salem said sarcastically.

"The system was corrupt." He snarled.

"And your solution was much better. Killing the one guy who knew my plan…and ensuring that capturing his reincarnation was really easy. You really drove him and Ironwood mad. Yes, you killed most of my minions, but you failed to cut the head of the snake." Salem said with a giggle. "Never asking yourself, what were you planning to do when you got to me?"

Six could glare from under the helmet.

"Your weapons may shred Grimm and man alike…but it was never going to work on me. Not for long." Salem said shaking her head. "You're only one man, and I took advantage of that."

"You bitch!" He snapped. "They thought I was a curse on the land with all those Grimm attacks."

He did not realize the attacks were a mere realization. It had helped that crippling a maiden made it really easy for Salem to swoop in, kill her and take the power for herself.

"You are because you're an idealistic fool with no idea how the real-world works." Salem said before releasing him. "Ironically really, I…"

Salem flinched looking to her hands as she was fading in and out. There was a look of complete relief to her face as it sank in for the both of them what was going to happen. Noble Six slugged Salem, but she did not flinch at it.

"It doesn't matter. Nothing matters…anymore. Thank you, Noble Six." Salem said before he shot her through the head.

Salem's body merely faded to dust. His bullet went through her without any blood splatter…it may as well have hit air. He fell to his knees. All his bravery, all this attempts…all for naught.

(A/N: This was both a request and a birthday present. Ravenking64, even if we don't eye to eye on everything, I'm still glad to have met you. Happy birthday! But yeah, one thing we did agree was this fic being not so bad. For me, it's the bastardization of Ozpin and Ironwood to make the lead better. Aside from there a million ways to do this much better, the method chosen was just to make everyone around Noble Six stupid for the plot to happen. Not realizing that in doing so, this raises so many questions. I'm not one to do this, but I was requested…plus the timing was right.)
