"Marvin Martian!" Jack roared down the phone "Hey buddy, Listen. Can you do me a solid?"

Jack listened to the answering laugher as Ianto made a cup of tea, still shaking with anger.

"Can you possibly collect the Froggie and take it back to your place? I had some farts sniffing around for it wanting to take it from me, I would feel better if you did a check of the house now and then keep that under lock and key at your place"

Jack nodded like he might see him then remembered it was a phone conversation and Ianto scolded him for this all the time "Yeah, right. Yeah."

Ianto turned and motioned for the phone and Jack handed it over.

"So… can you go to the red shed where I have the play things (he is referring to the four wheeler motorbikes, jet skis etc) and in the back room you will find supplies for a lock-in if needed. MREs, extra sugar, flour that sort of thing. Since we have this weird flu moving around the globe we will spend Christmas here with the Village. Since we will not be at the Lake Hose for the foreseeable… you take can use whatever food you might need" Ianto offered.

After the call was finished Jack watched Ianto cut some cake to add to the plate of food, then sit and chew thoughtfully "You gave him our emergency supplies? We are staying here for the holidays …. Babe? We are staying here?"

"Yeah. This flu going around is unnerving so… if we don't have to leave for the Lake House then it will not matter of we have to lock the place down right? This village can be self sufficient for months if we have the right supplies in." Ianto shrugged.

"The petrol tanker… really? Ze Germans?"

Ianto grinned "stop it!"

"You are really not comfortable with this flu thing, are you" Jack reached out and took Ianto's hand, "Sweetie… it will be OK."

"My family.. our babies… you know I will always act a little nuts when it comes to their safety" Ianto apologized.

"Whatever you need to do love, you know I love these little war games" Jack winked and Ianto nodded seeing that it was a good excuse.

Yes. He can say it is just a drill.

Yes.

He WILL start working towards distancing the village from the rest of the world for a while… as a drill.

Under the table Hawk leaned back in the dog bed, assorted doggies all watching him with interest even as a black cat slept on the head of one.

Yes.

He was ready too.
