Why was Ruby such a weapons lover? Well the answer…starts years ago at her birth.
Summer was in the local hospital in Patch in the midst of giving birth. Taiyang, Qrow, and little Yang were there, but she was in the waiting room. Though, Raven was watching in bird form from outside the window.
"C'mon! Summer! Push!" The doctor said as Summer screamed from the pain. "I can see it! I can see…huh?"
CLICK! That sound got everyone alert as the nurse screamed.
"Oh God, she has a gun!" The nurse said as everyone rang as bullets came out from between Summer's legs.
Out came baby Ruby covered in fluids and with an automatic pistol. Crying and screaming at the top of her lungs, she shot her own umbilical fluid before running around firing shots. Taiyang and Qrow immediately dipped out.
"Gah!" Raven screamed.
She was shot and fell out the tree right into the doctor's car. And that's why Ruby loves guns…
~Years Later~
"That's why I have a small scar on my right arm. Because of your sister." Raven said glaring at Ruby.
"Did I come out of you ok?" Yang asked.
"Of course not! You blew up when you came out. You burned my cooch, you little gun and lit the doctor on fire." Raven said before reaching for a bottle of gin. "You're lucky that because your sister put me in the hospital…that I ended up staying in your life."
She shuddered at the memory. Summer had threatened her in ways that put chills down her spine. Even with her gone, Raven remained with Tai mostly out of fear that Summer was somehow going to return back alive.
(A/N: Based on a joke in Family Guy, it was the only one out of a bin of them that motivated me to write, but it's lead to me having an idea for a potential miniseries.)
