Some Time Later. It was Summer and at Ant Island the ants were calm and normal because the Grasshoppers had already come and gone this year.

On a tall stem an certain little pink ant was watching in the distance. It was Dot. Suddenly the two ant boys who like to make fun of her small size showed up. Their names were Marl and Loid.

"Well well Loid, guess who's on the look out for the 12th time this month." Marl told his best friend. "Princess Tiny."

"For the last time, my name is Dot." She said angrily.

"Well Dot Dot Dot" Loid said. "Don't tell me you still think that liar Flik is coming."

"Yeah Dot, that losers either at the circus or dead." Marl said without any guilt.

Dot just looked into the horizon. She saw nothing.

Meanwhile, unknown to anyone Princess Atta was secretly looking out for Flik too. With his own telescope. She herself missed him while everyone else, sans Dot, was happy he was gone.

"I hope he's all right." She told herself. What she hadn't told anyone was that she was feeling guilt. Not just for exiling Flik, but also for sending him off falsely.

"I'd better go back before someone notices I'm gone." She told herself.

Soon she made her way back to the colony.

"Ah hello your highness" Thorny greeted her.

"Your highness." Cornelius repeated.

"Uh hello." Atta repeated.

"You know, things sure have been quiet and easy going ever since you exiled Flik." Thorny told her.

"Yes, you sure made the right decision to do it. I can't thank you enough for it." Mr. Soil said.

"Yes, you sure did." Dr. Flora chimed in.

This only made Atta feel even more guilt she just walked away.

"What's up with her?" Thorny asked.

The other three ants just shrugged.

Later that night.

Atta was in her room, feeling ashamed of herself. When suddenly she heard someone come in, it was her sister.

"Dot. What are you doing up so late?" The older sister asked.

"I couldn't sleep." The younger sister answered. "Can we talk please?" She asked.

"Of course." Atta answered.

"It's about Flik." Dot told her. "No problem right."

Atta hesitated for a bit but than spoke. "Okay."

"Why did you have to make him leave?" Dot asked. "He was just trying to make the most of his mistake."

"I know, I'm sorry, I was just blinded by my anger." Atta admitted.

"Wait, are you actually feeling guilt? Why?" Dot asked.

Atta knew the jig was up. "Dot I have a confession to make."

"What is it?" She asked.

"Do you promise not to tell anyone." Atta said. "Not even mother."

Dot simply nodded.

"Remember, when I sent Flik to the city to find tough bugs?" She asked.

"Yeah. What about it?" Dot asked.

"I didn't really send him to find help." Atta admitted.

"What than why-" Dot started but Atta interrupted.

"I sent him, because I wanted him gone so he couldn't mess anything up." Atta finally confessed. "The council told me to do it and I happily said yes."

"You What?!" Dot yelled in surprise.

"Shh." Atta silenced her.

"You should be ashamed of yourself." Dot told her angrily. "How could you do this?"

"I know I'm sorry." Atta said shamefully.

"Oh your sorry." Dot told her sarcastically. "You didn't even think that he might get hurt, or he might get killed. No you didn't think about that. Did you? You just thought about you."

Atta didn't know what to say. She knew Dot was right about everything.

"Well, Dot wanna go see him?" She asked.

"What?" She asked.

"I'm planning on sneaking out and going to the circus." Atta explained. "I can't let him back in the colony but he at least deserves to know the truth and an apology."

"For once you're right he does." Dot agreed. "I'm in."

"Thanks, but it has to be a secret okay." Atta said. Dot nodded.

The two creeped through the anthill making their way outside. After that Atta picked Dot up and put her on her shoulders.

"Hold on tight." She ordered and began flying to the city.

"Wow it sure must be fun to fly" Dot said.

"It sure is, you'll love it too when you can fly." Atta assured.

About some time later the two sisters reached the city.

"Okay now that we're here what do we do?" Dot asked her sister.

"We have to find the circus." Atta explained. "That's where Flik will be."

"Look, over there." Dot pointed ahead. It was the circus.

"Let's go." Atta said.

As they walked over they secretly snuck behind the "tent" and went around the back. As they entered The Circus Bugs recognized them. Fortunately P.T. Flea wasn't around. But the troop didn't look happy to see Atta.

"Uh hello Circus Bugs." She said nervously.

"What do you want?" Francis asked angrily.

"Oh well, I just-" Atta started but Rosie cut her off.

"You broke Flik's heart." She said.

"Look I know. But that's kind of what we're here for."

"Oh really?" Asked Manny.

"Yes." Answered Atta.

"Look can we just talk to Flik?" Dot asked.

"No!" They all answered.

"Why not?" Atta asked.

"Because 1, he wouldn't wanna talk to you. And 2 even if would he ain't here." Francis explained.

"What, what do you mean he's not here?" Atta questioned.

"We mean he's not here." Rosie answered. "After what you did to him, he was to upset to stay, so he left. We haven't seen or herd from him since."

"Yeah, and for the record. We blame you for it. Francis said "Now get out and stay out before we throw you out." He shouted before getting into a more positive attitude. "But it's good to see you Dot." He patted her on the head.

The two princesses shortly left.

"You know their right this is all your fault." Dot told her sister.

"Yeah way to kick someone while she's down Dot." Atta told her

The two then flew home. But Dot had something in her hands.

"Dot what is that?" Atta asked.

"I found it laying around some one must have dropped it." Dot answered. "It's a map."

"Can I see?" Atta asked.

Dot gave her the map. It wasn't just a map it was a map to The Great Valley.

So Atta finds a map to The Great Valley. This will be important in the next chapter. Also I'm gonna point this out ahead of time. The age in years for Dinosaurs and Bugs is different. Like Dog years so there's no confusion on the characters not aging despite time passing. I own nothing A Bug's Life Belongs to Disney and Pixar The Land Before Time Belongs to Universal Studios
