I only own my OC, Taylor, I do not own Tess, Carmelita, or any of the Kubo and the Two Strings characters.

The next day, there was music, and dancing. Kubo, Taylor and her friends were walking down the streets see some kids running down with one holding something made of paper, then heard Kameyo called, "Paper boy!" They looked, and saw her waving saying, "Here! Here!" Kubo smiled, and ran while she said, "Come on. Come on. Come sit next to me. I got us a good spot here."

Taylor and Carmelita followed as while with Tess on Taylor's shoulder.

Kubo sat down, and then Kameyo asked, "What do you think?" She soon said while sprucing, "I got myself all spruced up for the big day." Kubo was shocked, but then chuckled, Kameyo soon said, "Mmm. I do so love the festival," the girls soon see what was going on, as Kameyo continued, "A time to celebrate." The music stopped, and everyone applauses, while Kameyo said to Kubo, "You know, it's a shame you never stay past sundown. There's fireworks, and singing, and dancing, and feasting. of course." She soon tickles Kubo causing him to laugh. She stops, then said, "But the best part of all..." She turns, puts a hand over Kubo's shoulder, and asked, "Do you see those lamps and altars?" They looked, as Kameyo explains, "We use those to speak to the loved ones that left us behind." They see Hosato buying a lamp from someone, while Kameyo continued, "We listen to their tales, and guide their safe return to the blissful pure land."

Kubo soon asked, "Really? Did you speak to someone?"

"Yes, I did. My husband," Kameyo replied, she paused, then said, "His voice was a clear and loud as the one you use for your stories. In 72 years, he never had a thing to say. Now he's gone and I can't shut him up." She soon laughed at that, and Kubo soon chuckled, along with Taylor and her friends, then Kameyo said, "You have someone you wanna talk to, huh?"

"For us, not really, sorry," Taylor replied.

But Kubo said, "But me, very much."

Kameyo soon asked while tapping Kubo in the chest with the back of her hand, "Well, what's stopping you?"

"Don't I need a lamp?" Kubo asked.

Kameyo replied, "Well, I'll bet you can make a really nice one with that paper folding thing you do," while she was saying that she moved her hands, then said, "You see, not just a pretty face, huh?" Kubo, Taylor, Tess, and Carmelita soon laughed, then Kameyo said, "Now hurry along. Go! There's still time before dark. Go! Get out of here." Kubo soon got up, and began running, while Taylor and her friends followed him, while hearing Kameyo chuckle.

The group soon went and followed the villagers, while Kubo continues to make a lamp. They soon found the villages at a cemetery, kneeling and praying. Kubo goes passed them, but he and the girls heard Hosato say to his daughter, "Place the lamp at the altar," his daughter soon did what he instructed, he chuckles, and said, "Very good."

"What do we do next, Daddy?" his daughter asked.

"Now we pray," Hosato replied, he soon went to a praying position, and said, "We ask her spirit to honor us with its light."

Hosato's daughter said out loud, "Grandma, will you please honor..."

He shushes her, chuckles, and said, "Softly, softly." Kubo and the girls soon smiled at that, while going somewhere else. They soon found a spot with a rock that looks like a tiny mountain, Kubo moved the leaves off it, placed the shamisen near it, blew at his lamp, and placed it on the rock. He soon backs away from it, knelt down, placing his hands together, and said, "Hello, Father. I hope you're well. I mean, I know you're dead, but I hope everything is okay." Nothing happened, then Kubo said, "Look, it's your robe. Mother says I'll grow into it. "Kubo pauses, then said, "She says you were a great leader who died protecting me. Saving one of my eyes. Two would have been ideal, but thanks anyway." He shook his head, places his hands together, and said, "Father, I'm worried about Mother. With every day that goes by, she drifts further away." Kubo Pauses again, then said, "She talks a lot about you, but... But I just don't know. I don't think she remembers what's real anymore," Kubo sighs, looks down, and said, "I don't know what's real anymore," he looks back at the lamp, and said, "I wish you were here, so I could talk to you, see you, find out what I should do."

"Daddy, Daddy, she's here! Grandma is here!" cries out Hosato's daughter.

The group looks and saw the lamp was lit. Taylor soon wondered, put on her goggles which were hidden in a satchel that replaced her backpack, and set them to Median Vision, she soon sees the spirit of the girl's grandmother.

Hosato soon said, "Now it's time for the final part," he takes the lamp, gives it to his daughter and said, "We have to help her get back to the spirit world."

His daughter moans, and said, "But she just got here."

Hosato chuckles, and said, "Come on."

Taylor soon looks, but doesn't even see Hanzo, makes her wonder that he may still be alive.

Kubo looks at the lamp and said, "Father? Hello?" Nothing happened, then Kubo said, "Anytime," still nothing.

So, Kubo tried to talk to Hanzo, but got nothing, wonder why is that? Anyway, if you're reading this, thanks for reading.
